Color Swap-ability

[color=#c95f02][b][size=15][font=Palatino Linotype] Something I think every good costume creator (or should I say Avatar Builder?) needs is a color swap button. I tried for many years but was never able to get one implemented into CoH even though the handful of devs I ran it past all thought it was "do-able" and a great idea. It would save so much needless clicking and allow fast sweeping changes similar to the "Copy current colors across entire costume" button.

The GENIUS of CoH power colors

Two things I LOVED about the CoH costume creator were that:

a) you got at least two colors (sometimes more? I can't remember) for each power--usually a dominant color and then an "accent" color--and

b) you even got a choice whether the animation was light or dark--AND YOU COULD MIX THEM!

This was GENIUS, and light-years better than the one-color choice that Champions and DCUO give. These two things really allowed you to dial in your concept and make truly unique looks for your powers.

Costume creator test drive

I've read so many posts that say the costume creator will be a teaser aspect with an expected release sometime during or after summer. Of course I understand that this is not a guarantee but a possibility.

Still the fact its a possibility is fantastic.

What I am wondering is if there are any plans to include some power animations? I mean without any hard data on the powers just the animations.

Hello, everybody! I know that a lot of you have some very unique characters, and some of them have iconic parts that are difficult to find (be it the exact look or something close) in-game. Some of you may even have special emblems or costume textures that you want to see on your superhero. I know that the Kickstarter page says that a hefty donation can give you such things, but what about the other pros who are good at design? Obviously the Kickstarter perks will still hold value for those of us who can't model or make HQ textures to save our lives, so why not?

Costume Suggestions BY the CC

Hi all,
I was reminiscing about designing the look of my characters and came up with an idea that the Character Creator (CC) could recommend costume items based on your characters selections.

For example:
Origin = Tech
Primary = Ranged Damage/DoT/Power Armour
Secondary = Defence/Dodging

When I get to the costume design the game checks my choices and recommends a costumer that is Tech based with Power Armour items, choosing from random items flagged as 'Tech', 'Power Armour' and 'Dodging'.

Possibilities for a new body type: Kid?

Back in CoX character creator you had Male, Female, and Huge. Also, if you wanted, say a kid like body or something you could slide the height meter down to nothing and BAM now you are a kid. Unfortunately, said "kid" still had the appearance of the previously mentioned body types and did not actually look like a kid. All I can say is that it wasn't fooling anybody who even glanced at it for more than two seconds...

Kid heroes and villains have been prominent throughout the comic book universe and I feel like it should be the same way when it comes to CoT.

Hero Names

Something that's been nagging me for a while is something I think needs to be asked. I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but on the subject of hero names, after the first year or so, it's almost impossible to use a flashy name because either someone is using it, or they've "camped" it by naming a placeholder alt that name so they can use it later.
