Invulnerability

Was that supposed to hurt? I didn’t think so.

Invulnerability primarily relies on physical resistance to effects, with lesser degrees of resistance to energy and exotic effects. A few abilities also contain Defense to Melee and Ranged attacks. However, this set offers very little self healing. It focuses on receiving damage and mitigating it directly.

A sneak peek at abilities

Toughness (tier 1): Your maximum health is increased a very light amount. You have a light resistance to physical effects and very light resistance to energy and exotic effects. These resistances will increase by very light amounts as your health is depleted. This ability is permanent and costs no power to maintain.

Indestructible (tier 4): Once toggled on, you are protected by very light amounts of subtraction to all damage types as well as a base medial Defense to melee, ranged, and area effect damage attacks. This Defense will increase by very light amounts as your Momentum increases. Recharge Swift.

Solid Form

Stand firm, stand strong!

Solid Form is about standing your ground and not being moved. While Solid Form is still very functional while moving around, it is at its best when picking a place and refusing to budge. Positional awareness is a key strategy in making the most of this set’s abilities.

A sneak peek at abilities

Stand Fast (tier 3): One of the tier 3 branch choices, this ability provides light defense to melee, ranged, and area damage and medial defense melee, ranged, and area control effects. Stand Fast increases the Defense against control effects by a very light amount for each second up fifteen seconds of remaining still. The longer you move this value decreases back to normal. Once switched on, this ability will always remain active and automatically reactivate when you recover from defeat, but will reduce your Power resource for ability upkeep by a significant amount making the cost a deciding factor in whether to keep it active or not. Solid Core (tier 6): When you toggle on and maintained this ability, you are protected with light resistance to energy and exotic effects and strong subtraction to energy and exotic damage. Recharge Swift.

Super Agility

Are you even trying to hit me?

Super Agility focuses on evading attacks. But sometimes no matter how quick you are, something manages to score a good hit on you. Thankfully, this power set comes with some extra tools to handle that immediate hit. However, this set offers no resistance or healing.

A sneak peek at abilities

Superior Reflexes (tier 3): one of the tier 3 branch choices, you gain light evasion to melee attacks and defense to evasion debuffs. Each successful melee evasion creates a very light melee damage defense buff which will continue to stack over a short duration, and will either be cancelled when the duration expires, or when a successful melee hit occurs. This ability is permanent and costs no power to maintain.

Deftness (tier 5): When toggled on and maintained, you increase your evasion to melee, ranged, area attacks and defense to evasion debuffs. Any enemy entering within melee range will also have be affected by a light accuracy debuff. Recharge Swift.

Grit

Come hit me, I can take it!

Grit is a well rounded set, using a combination of resistance and defense to complement its primary protection through healing and regeneration. Several of these complementary protection abilities start out stronger and degrade with time forcing you to tough it out through healing.

Indomitable (tier 4): You gain light evasion to melee, ranged, and area attacks, light defense to evasion debuffs, as well as defense to melee, ranged, and area control effects. Once switched on, this ability will always remain active and automatically reactivate when you recover from defeat, but will reduce your Power resource for ability upkeep by a significant amount making the cost a deciding factor in whether to keep it active or not. Total Determination (tier 9): This ability is not to be used whimsically. You gain resistance to all physical, energy, and exotic effects, very light subtraction to physical, energy, and exotic damage, regeneration, and defense to melee, ranged, and area control effects. The amount of improvement is based on your Momentum. However, activating this ability will deplete Momentum at a higher rate than normal making it difficult to maintain Momentum, decreasing the effectiveness of the improved protection until all Momentum is depleted. Recharge Extremely Slow.

Atrophic Aura

Gather round and slowly fall away.

Atrophic Aura relies on several different protections which are not very strong on their own. What this set lacks in sustainability, it more than makes up for in damaging enemies over time and increasing its damage.

A sneak peek at abilities

Atrophic Radiance (tier 1): Once toggled on and maintained, this ability will affect any enemy within melee range with a light damage debuff. Any enemy that hits you in melee range will suffer a recoil of very light energy damage. Recharge Swift.

Preserve Essence (tier 5): Upon activation you will receive a medial heal which continues as a light regeneration buff for a short duration. Very Slow.
