Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

To springboard on this with sillier variants:
-Goldfish tank as a head,
-Pirahna tank as a head,
-techno-hamster ball as a head, and...
-Headless! With and without the neck stump. (headless horseman and Hitmonlee as varried examples.
-A hat that looks like a big birthday cake.
-A toilet head ((Potty-mouthed villains...))
-Floating bandages, Akin to "the Invisible Man" which don't completely cover the face and make a solid outline, but have some transparency and spots that are missed, so you can see through the head.

Stalkers don't die: They simply... Disappear.

dispite the misgivings of Edna....

cloaks! a huge variety to cover the various styles to include going over the front of the model when they are standing still...partially covering the body and completely. make them all with the option to add collars (of various styles)(ala doc strange) and also option to add the various hood styles. be creative on them too...classic cloak with attached panels running down the front of the model.

the option to have stupidly long cloaks too...the kind that 'pool' around the character when they are on the ground standing.

cloaks where one side is 'thrown back' over the shoulder and the other side hangs normally.

...so, if superfolks want to take the risk of being sucked into a Pratt & Whitney JT9D high-bypass turbofan engine on a 747....LET THEM! ...but be nice enough to let them die in style...

So for example you basically want something like this...

without the little white crop top? Heck if the Devs allowed it I'd probably make at least one outfit like that. ;)

For what's it's worth I actually made a Leeloo clone like this in CoH. I didn't have the orange suspenders of course, but I was able to get the rest of it looking pretty close to the pic. Maybe CoT will include suspenders of some kind even if you can't go "topless" with them.

It's funny but I never quite bothered to think about this from a "what purpose does it actually serve" point of view. I just always thought the orange bungee thingy was a cute "futuristic" outfit accessory and left it at that. :)

If anything it looks like the belt keeps the pants up but the suspenders only manage to make taking the pants off nigh-impossible. So in a weird sort of way maybe it's more like a cleverly disguised chastity belt. I wouldn't put it past Luc Besson for having something kooky like that in mind considering Leeloo was supposed to be this kind of "angelically pure" superbeing.

Then again we could all be way overthinking this and it could just be a cool looking but otherwise useless fashion item. Like the old saying goes sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. ;)

Well it sort of makes sense. It kind of has the same "pseudo-Egyptian alien technology" look and feel that Besson was going for in The Fifth Element. Basically something weird and convoluted like this looks like something Leeloo might have interacted with in the movie. That, and the deep yet subtle connection between the provocative Sir Mix-a-Lot lyrics and how kawaii this cosplayer looks in this pic... No disrespect intended to Milla Jojovich but this girl obviously makes for a very nice Leeloo.

Not that I'm complaining.

Turns out the pic I used in my earlier post was of a very convincing cosplayer. Either she (and/or the picture taker) decided to recreate the "hands up on the ledge of a tall building" scene while wearing the "orange suspender" outfit instead of the "white bandage" outfit. Two different outfits going on here.

Your pic is of Milla Jojovich from the actual movie. My pic was just an interesting remixed recreation. Don't feel too bad - like I said the cosplayer in my pic was a very good one and was one of the reasons I used it. ;)

They could probably do generic "gloves with claws" easily enough but the problem with any kind of "kitty cowl" is making one that wouldn't look too much like an obvious copy of Catwoman. Afterall there have been many official versions of Catwoman over the years (both live action and comic based) and it would be a "bad thing" if CoT came up with one that allowed some sue-happy idiot an excuse to complain.

For what it's worth I wouldn't mind if CoT gave us a dozen kitty-based masks. It's just they may decide against it just to play it safe. This was likely the reason why CoH also avoided anything like this.

Michelle Pfiffer completely

Michelle Pfiffer completely owned her rendition of Catwoman, to the extent that she basically set the bar for all other actors to follow in the role.

The only other "decent" Catwoman since then was Anne Hathaway ... which is ironic since Anne is complete and utter klutz in real life (and is why she got the role of Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries).

Pfeiffer and Hathaway were good, but they really did borrow a lot from Newmar's take on it. If anything I think you'd have to say they started with what Newmar began and built upon it.

Really pretty much all the live action Catwomen have been good except for Halle Barry. That sad movie was just annoying on so many levels not the least of which was Halley Barry herself.

I would assume they (wings) would be treated like they were in CoH. with a simple lil macro I was able to do just what your describing on WP (his wings only exist when he is flying as they are a psychic manifestation only).

the only "downside" to the above is it requires two costume slots...one with wings and one without.

I have no reason to believe we wouldn't be able to do the same in CoT if needed. :)

I'd like to see textures that are fixed in space, i.e., that don't move when the costume itself moves. If you've ever seen the cartoon Chowder, I'm referring to the kind of texture that his clothes have, but with a variety of patterns and colors. I think it would make a nice option for ghostly or cosmic characters.

Can't tell from a still shot.

Can't tell from a still shot. ^_^

The way DCUO did that style of costume, I'm fairly sure the starfield didn't move relative to the viewer's computer screen. What I'm thinking is that the program would call up a file with an appropriate starfield for the angle the viewer is looking, then use that for the texture. Bonus points for tying in the in-game time of day, year, and location of the POV. Distance to the character should not be taken into consideration. So if there are two or more people with this costume option in your field of view, they're all displaying portions of the same image.

Difficulty of actually doing this without introducing rendering lag is left as an exercise for the devs. Opting out of seeing it like this may have to be an option for those with slower graphics.

Just binged through this

Just binged through this thread and wanted to add my 2 cents.

I would love to see:

Uniform sets (Police, Fire Service, Medic/Doctor/Scientist, Military (Formal and Fatigues), WW2 era 'Biggles'-esque pilot wear (flying cap, goggles and bomber jacket etc), Nun's habit/Priests collar.
'Victorian' adventurer style clothing (corsets, bodices, billowy skirts, pith helmets, cravats etc)
Ability to overlay 2 chest symbols on top of each other to create more personalised emblems (i.e. the Captain America star overlaid on a circle emblem would be composed of both a generic circle and a separate star, each of which could be separately colored).
Missing/invisible body parts
Cybernetics of different themes/variations (e.g. hitech, steampunk, dieselpunk, industrial, junktech)
Animal body parts (not just heads): birdlike talons for hands and feet, paws etc.
Skeleton body parts
Ability to apply a 'dirtied', 'rusted', 'torn' or 'damaged' color pattern or texture to costume pieces or armor.
Party masks, someone previously mentioned the balaclava style mask for those heroes/villains working on a budget but how about the dimestore style plastic face masks (similar to the Carnie masks that came as a part of the costume pack in CoH but for clown faces, a comedy/tragedy mask, emoge faces and other generic styles)

That was something I was trying to think of earlier--emblem customization. Would be a huge draw for me, personally.

I don't see the problem. Covers up the "naughty bits" (I'm referring to the SHOULDERS, of course) and is actually more concealing than a bikini. Go figure ...

I feel pretty confident about these two being "planned" due to the decal system (stretching and placing decals on the form)

If you're asking personally, I don't think male and female breasts need be treated differently. But because the ESRB disagrees with me my professional opinion is to keep it T For Teen which basically means "no female nipple". So that's where my line is.

Yeah I'd agree a little bit of "underboob" shouldn't be over the line in a Teen rated game. But remember one of the very first patches the CoH Devs applied to CoH included the infamous "nipple nerf" so it's sometimes hard to know exactly what a group of Devs ultimately find objectionable.

For what it's worth the Devs might not allow something like this:

more for the fact that you can see a hint of nipple (that's technically covered up) than that you can see a hint of underboob (which is clearly exposed). *shrugs*

So, is it ok to hide the nipple, for males, females, etc..
..even if Werewolves or that type of costume becomes available one day?

I can't speak for the devs but this game isn't being made by a corporate entity concerned with appearances. This is being made by people who love the game...by fans.

Teen rating games actually have a little jiggle and bounce in them. Cleavage does not negate a teen rating, so the reverse-underboobs shouldn't either.

For a hint of nipples? through clothing? I'm not sure that would cost us a T rating. If it does...make it something you have to pay to see. More money for the game's coffers, and everyone knows teens don't have money...its a win win situation.

Now what would really freak out the censors is if we could fire weapons and energy beams from nipples. I would pay for that! Quote from Flash Gordon: "I've got the power pasties, and I know how to use them!"

alas, I am far too evil for modern MMOs. (I also probably just ruined my chance to get hired on as a Dev right there, too)

My metric for what would be "appropriate" in this game to maintain the Teen rating is what you could reasonably expect see at a typical non-nude beach or pool setting in the USA of 2015. About the only thing that would probably need to be strictly off limits are exposed female nipples. Aside from males showing them off in any capacity I would think that any amount of reasonable female cleavage, underboob and or visible nipple-under-clothing by either sex should be allowable in CoT.

In fact if I were a CoT Dev I'd probably go so far as to provide a toggle switch in the character creator that would allow a player to specifically decide for themselves if they want to show off visible "nipple bumps" underneath their clothing or not. As always things like this should be up to the players themselves especially considering that certain clothing materials either naturally let you see them (like spandex) or not (like under a bullet-proof vest). Unfortunately I doubt the Devs will give us a choice in this matter but it's something worth suggesting in any event.

As far as making it a "pay for" option we all know that anybody who'd really want it would pay for it almost regardless of cost. People tend to be funny that way. ;)

I was playing around with the Issue 24 Beta and Icon and thinking about the soon to be released Paragon Chat. Once again it struck me how badly most of the handguns look in weapon customization. The S&W and the Colt Navy are done well, but none of the others impress me much. So, if possible, when it comes to handguns, please have some decent facsimile of these three revolvers available:

1858 Remington New Model Army: http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/media/catalog/category/1858NewArmyPairCatelogPage462.jpg

1875 Remington Army: http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/media/catalog/category/1875-Army-Outlaw-Revolver-ProductPageLW462.jpg

Taurus Raging Bull: http://www.taurususa.com/images/imagesMain/taurus-1-tau_2_454069m.jpg

Random, generic revolver models just don't cut it with anyone who knows firearms. These three are, in my never humble opinion, the nicest looking revolvers currently in the market. It would be a real shame if the weapon customization couldn't come fairly close to these iconic firearms.

The orange bits on the pistols are mystical/magical/psionic/psychic energy blades. Think "lightsaber" to get the necessary degree of "do not touch here" ...

True, true. But compared to everything else in the way of CoX weaponry, it actually didn't look that bad. It would of course be awesome if we got pistols like in LMNS, but I'm not sure that having something with so specific of a design would be... fair. You see, when you have one beautiful custom model that looks like it's completely personalized for use by a specific hero, it tends to fill in details that other heroes would want to leave to their imagination. I'd imagine that something that incredible would come at a later time after all the basics are covered, likely with varying designs and details to add to the amount of weapon personalization, (READ: semi-auto pistol attachments) but it's highly likely that we'll start with a simple pistol-with-bayonet design first.

Difficulty of actually doing this without introducing rendering lag is left as an exercise for the devs. Opting out of seeing it like this may have to be an option for those with slower graphics.

I would love this option as it would work exactly how I envision Ms. Majestics current costume would work. :)

although, I would be perfectly happy with a static starfield as well (if static I think it would be nice to have a few different options). :)

OK this is less a specific piece request, and more a general request: CLEAVAGE.
a few more pieces with cleavage, please. COH had precious few.
*** Deep V-cut necklines, secretary outfits unbuttoned for the cleavage effect, even bikinis that show cleavage.

This is all teen rated friendly. I think cleavage includes half cups, side boobs, and under boobs as well. this is AMERICA, with red white and blue bikinis with a star in just the right spot. We should raise the bar and stand proud, heads and tails above the other MMOs. This is not the city of wimps, no we will live in the city of TITANS!!! We have TITANIC...muscles!!!! yeah!

I'm sure there is room for more conservative pieces, but we won't really need them at release. There are always future releases.

The question of having more items with cleavage is actually related to whether we're going to get reasonable amounts of "jiggle physics" as well. The main problem CoH had was that no matter what sized breasts we had they were basically static unmovable lumps that couldn't jiggle or squeeze together in order to form natural cleavage. The few items that we got in CoH with visible cleavage only existed because the Devs literally drew them with permanent cleavage like a rigid pre-shaped breastplate.

So there's nothing really stopping the CoT Devs from providing us more items that include permanent cleavage, but the downside to that is that there wouldn't really be any way to adjust breast size/position while wearing them. You'd probably have to accept having huge non-jiggling Double Ds with no freedom to choose any other size/shape while wearing those items.

Ideally all items will be "flexible" enough to react accordingly to any size breast. For example if you choose to have A-cup sized breasts it's not likely you'd have much cleavage no matter what costume item you wore. On the other hand if you choose like F-cup size it's likely you'd have a bunch of natural cleavage wearing almost any item because you'd be big enough to have them squished together regardless.

On a further note in regards to "jiggle physics". If they implement it (I don't see why not) then I hope they do it in a proper way and take the clothing's material and tightness into account. It's always disturbed me when a metal breastplate has as much jiggle as a loose hanging cloth.

After the Street Fighter 5

After the Street Fighter 5 debacle - I really wouldn't mind it if the devs stayed FAR away from jiggle physics. I'm sure most superheroines would prefer to have them locked down anyway - just ask any real woman who does any kind of physical activity. Having cartoon boobs bouncing around the game is pretty much nonexistent in my list of features I'd want to see in the game.
