Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

So if I had my character as a newly arrived instructor, then ESSI would probably direct her to the Danger Room with the warning that there is an active training session.
But considering that this android is now attacking the school, this seems like a good time to intervene actually. :D
EDIT: Posted in the IC thread. Hopefully that will work. I usually go by the "Try To" rule, in that I attempt to do an action, but whoever owns the character affected gets to determine what actually happens.

I distinctly remember the Cat lady leaving her car, as another car was thrown at the front doors of the school, I then joined that fight. And the Cat lady didn't do a thing after I held it in place for her...

DJMoose only reacted to my android's initial car throw, there is no other metal guy.

The android threw a car before entering the school, that's how he 'opened' the doors to get in. DJMoose only reacted to my initial post where my android threw the car and called it a 'monstrous metal humanoid' to not sound as dull as just calling it an android.

So now, everyone is in or around the school's front hall, fighting 'Tin Man' or on their way to help fight Tin Man.

That's not it's actual name by the way. DJMoose's character chose to call it that way. In fact it has no name / alias at all. It's just an android.
Okay okay, well in order to be true to the character, you are getting no further help from me. This fight is more than even without the added assistance of incredibly OP gravity powers that CoH actually had, in a weakened and more AoE damage based form. Plus he's more of a fun-loving guy thats leaning towards evil anyway. (you'll find out why later)

He could have copied the gravity powers and utilized them in a way to to the opposite of what your guy is doing, thus gravity would remain unchanged*.

WELL crushing somebody by merely looking at them with gravity powers isn't really what people want done to their characters. Also that gravity power negating thing makes actual sense.
If there are discrepancies over combat, perhaps it would help to find a different way to decide the outcomes on what's going on, perhaps through dice-rolls, or something similar. Otherwise, we can either void this entire encounter, or we can try and cooperate and see if we can all agree on what various outcomes are going to be.
Otherwise, this is just going to get messy and derail whatever was previously going on.

Please note that I am attempting to interpret this situation as a neutral party. I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
I think the concern that's being expressed (please correct me if I'm wrong) is not so much that the android is doing what it does, but the idea that it might be a touch over-the-top for the current setting and those that are trying to combat it, or that its very nature is not resulting in a very fun encounter, considering that there doesn't seem to be any exploitable weaknesses; in other words, things aren't seemingly "fair" at the moment.
There are multiple ways to fix this; either through Neutral Arbitration (some outside factor decides on the success of actions), or we all just do our best to get along as far as deciding what works and what doesn't goes, or we all quit and go back to whatever we were doing beforehand. I think it would be best if we as a group decide on some way to fix the bad feelings that are currently going around, and figure out a way to make this encounter fun for everyone, without seeming too set towards one side or the other.

Notice that my baddie ALX-32 more of an opportunist. He sees a chance he might take it being a machine and expecting to last at least a hundred years he figures he can take his time.

i was just rifting on the idea of the advanced sentinels from x-men. Proudfoot is a natural origin, he doesn't actually have any powers, or use technology, he is just a weird being, so he never "activates" anything to copy.
he is also roughly a quarter million years old. hops around(pu intended) the galaxy just taking in local culture and interacting in positive ways but never influencing big events.
he doesnt view 1 android as a big event. He just doesnt want school closed tomorrow =P

also what proudfoot is thinking isn't insight into anything other than what proudfoot is thinking. Most forum posters post that way and generally ignore anything other characters "think" unless its conveyed to their character.
so he is there under the impression that this android copies mutations and technology. if it also copies magic so be it.
The only hard rule it seems to have is that it copies something that can be activated through energy of some sort.

At maximum density, about enough to reduce the damage done by a 30mm autocannon to something that her artificial skin and muscles can almost handle, it could still wear her down by attrition, but it would take a lot. It can be shaped, but that would reduce its strength. Best bet for overloading it is a shaped charge effect, or other concentrated force/energy, or having a similar force field interfere with it... which would leave [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] more vulnerable, but she has allies. ^_^

Is the android locked in time? That wasn't the impression I got from Mel's encounter with the stasis fields...
Also, if it's locked in time, the EMP would likely have no effect.

But that's what stasis means, unless it's changed in CoT universe.
I kinda want to be caught... the whole "villain in a school of heroes" thing is just a little bit to funny... especially if everybody knows he's a villain and the teachers take it upon themselves to correct that and turn him into a good person at least.

If you want him to be caught, I think it would help to provide an avenue for the other characters to go about doing such. Right now, I don't think that anyone notices that he's gone, or has any way of seeing him.

He's in the front lawn... Proudmore and some other person commented on the big bank vault stuck in the front lawn... plus I'm outside of the vault... trying to lift said vault... it takes more opposing gravity to negate the Earths gravity, especially if the thing being lifted is heavy. Like a bank vault.

Alright, Faceless. My concerns with the android attacking the campus were mostly expressed by D-Pad here, in that he, even though he has weaknesses, he still may be too powerful for the current setting. And in addition, the defenses of the school (Though in part, my fault for not outlining them clearer, superhuman guard, etc.) were ignored. HOWEVER, as Rottenluck has stated, the best RP is often unexpected. :)
SO may I ask, in the future, that you guys can run these kind of things by me going forward?

an open and active villain would most likely be suspended/arrested, so you should dive a bit deeper into your own backstory to figure out HOW your character can attend a law abiding school and still be a thief.

Proudfoot sees the % chances of all futures for everything at the same time. So statistically he is usually right, but to not be all god mode, anything that isnt along the lines of what I his player thinks is going to happen in the meta game of the thread that happens is just written off as a lower future % that he wasnt anticipating.

I completely agree, and think that you have come up with a smart way around the dreaded superman/god-mode issue. I'm not being sarcastic, that's actually intelligent.

Marianne only sees short times into the future (about a week is her record), and mostly related to her family, and the futures she sees can be changed. But apparently seeing someone who can see - and act - on vastly greater time scales messes up her precog.

The paper file on Principal Ellis's desk, its different than what ESSI knows.
Also her defense attorney is known for defending IFRIT members. So he is fairly well connected won't be the easiest to buy or dispose of.
The DA was acting 100% out of character when he got Melody off by taking the IFRIT attorney's counter plea deal. Before that incident the DA had a pretty solid track record.

They might not be there I thought I wrote it to show that ALX thought of the possibilities but didn't know for sure. If there aren't any then he won't get a confirmation signal. After that he would figure they got fully wiped out. AKA it's up to you if they are there or not.

Can't find any posts on it, probably because the assembly happened "off-screen". But I think between the precautions of two gadgeteers (one with sixsight!) and the Liquid Light she drank in Egypt, your nanites got cleaned out. Plus because of ALX-32's prompt service, they had plenty of time to check thoroughly. ^_^
OTOH, it is possible that ALX-32 saw the reproduction Tucker Torpedo in visitor parking. It's an unusual enough car, although it is possible ALX would consider it too much of a longshot to bother with hacking MASSRMV... Don't think he would. The reason he's attempting to hack ESSI is because he just witness the effects of the tech. Lexi as well was more curiosity than any real plan. It's part of ALX nature to try to plant any type of tracking, bug into the systems he builds. Never know when he would need an upper hand when half your clientele are murderers and thieves. Lexi is also a bit of new tech he seen androids and cyborgs before of course. Each he come to see as something one of a kind Lexi to him is a work of art as well as a fellow machine so why wouldn't he want to study her more.
Hmm that could be a plot for a story there...

Not to poke holes, but how the hell are we already at 4th period/lunch? The day had just started. There was a short intro to the mentoring program and then each practice fight would only last a few minutes. At most, and that's a stretch, we should be at the beginning of 2nd.

I think it might help to state what it is you're trying to do with your character, and maybe come up with a plan alongside us to accomplish it. I think at the moment, most people here (myself included) are a bit confused as to what exactly you want to do, and as a result have just withdrawn until your character makes another appearance.

Well, there's 7 class periods and a set lunch period. If each period is an hour, then school would need to start no later than 7:30 to be out by 3:30, which is when most middle and high schools end the day. From what we've seen of classes so far, schedules look like this:
1: Class (Teacher)
2: Class (Teacher)
3. Class (Teacher)
Lunch
4: Class (Teacher)
5: Class (Teacher)
6. Class (Teacher)
7. Class (Teacher)
This schedule would put lunch being around 10:30. But if there's going to be a set lunch period instead of a rotating lunch period, this might make more sense:
1: Class (Teacher)
2: Class (Teacher)
3. Class (Teacher)
4: Class (Teacher)
Lunch
5: Class (Teacher)
6. Class (Teacher)
7. Class (Teacher)
That puts lunch starting around 11:30, closer to the middle of the day. Also, wouldn't JDHS be more like a [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnet_school]magnet school[/url] and therefore have a smaller student population than other high schools?

From what I've gathered, most schools (44.5%) start between 8:00 and 8:29, with end-times anywhere from 3:00 to 5:00, depending on the school and its scheduling. Period length varies from 50 minutes to 90 minutes in public schools, depending on how the block scheduling is organized, while in private, chartered, and specialized institutions, they generally range from 30 to 50 minutes.
An 8:30 to 4:30 school day, with 45 minute periods, and five minute breaks between each, could have an hour long lunch break situated at 12, which provides nice round numbers all around, and suits our purposes nicely.
I also think we might be over thinking a fictional schedule for a fictional school, just a bit.

most schools do lunches in waves.
So 6th grade has lunch at 10am for group 1 10:30 for group 2. 7th has 11am for group 1 11:30 for group 2 and so on.
Thats why it takes half the day. Each class only gets 20-40 minutes in the lunch room, but you cant dump the entire school into a cafeteria at the same time.
and for those who don't kinw... in real life i actually am a teacher in a school. Lunch takes FOREVER in larger schools.
