And with the bell, Toni headed off to his History class, waving to his friends who were going to other classes...

Andy fell into step with Toni as he was headed to History as well. "I had an interesting conversation with Madison. There's more to her than seems, I think."
Putting yourself in another persons shoes emotionally is something that everyone has to experience eventually. It's part of learning to be a human being. Roleplayers do it for fun.
Toni suppressed his first response, as he could tell Andy was serious. "There usually is. So, shall I cut back on the deliberate annoyance, so I don't undermine your efforts to make peace?"
Vince took his next class book with him when he closed his locker, and proceeded at a moderate pace towards his History class. The class was something that should be at least a little bit more interesting than normal history classes. It focused on the roles that supers played starting from the revolution, all the way up to the recent Hurricane Atlas. It was also supposed to brush up on the mass Cullings and lynchings, and all the laws that had to be passed to protect supers and the like from being made into targets and pariahs. It definitely sounded interesting enough. Vince was coming in part way through the semester, so he had no idea where he'd be starting today. Maybe the 1800's?
There was a trend forming with the classes. There seemed to be an emphasis on taking one math, english, science, etc, core curriculum class that revolved around being a Super early on. One science of supers. One super history, one super literature... It must've been an attempt to enlighten the bigoted students, while at the same time, giving the super students something that felt about them. Hell, half the school seemed to be about giving Super-Students an easier life as to not feel threatened by the world, and gain a need to lash out.
Again, Vince found his way to the side of the classroom. He placed himself close to a window, and as he did, noted a cape Flying by. He made eye contact briefly, and couldn't help but smile at the super-corny wave-salute the caped hero flashed him. Must've had super vision or something, because he returned the smile, the darted off into the sky.
Stalkers don't die: They simply... Disappear.
Connor waved to the others as they made their way out. Seeing as there weren't really any stage management duties left to take care of, he decided he might as well make his way to history as well.
He passed by the theater to pick up his things, keeping his coffee firmly in hand, and sipping it every once in a while. Not gonna lose it this time.
Alicia nods in acknowledgement as the others leave, then quickly finishes her lunch before deciding to leave for the first class she would actually attend that day, which happened to be chemistry. Seeing as she had left some time after the others, she found herself walking down the hall alone for the first time since she had got there that day. Being alone was rather nice, despite the other students wandering the halls.
Entering Chemistry, Rose adopts a neutral seat within the middle of the lab as she awaits the arrival of other students, amidst quietly humming the first eight bars of No Good Deed from Wicked, tapping the tempo quietly with her pencil upon a notebook.
Natalia on the other hand heads to History, entering with utter silence as she opts to take the middle of the front row of seats, and takes a few minutes to ponder the subject in question, So much of this city's history is steeped in superheroics, she wondered about how the idea almost stemmed into a larger and larger almost subculture of sorts, a rather staggering idea compared to the collective mentality of her unfortunately superstitious village.
Whereas Titan City was accepting, Pribram was close minded, traditional, and restrictively shrewd, it's isolation from the world further emphasizing it's mindset. After some dwelling on the past, Natalia looked up to revel in the happier present as the Smartboard ahead hummed to life, as they awaited their teacher's arrival.
Andy nodded to Toni as they entered the classroom and sat down next to each other. "That would be appreciated, thanks."
Andy then turned and started chatting up the pretty girl on the other side of him. She had mottled blue-green skin, gills, and the brightest blue eyes ever. There was a small device attached to her neck that kept the gills saturated with occasional spurts of water mist, but she seemed able to breath air otherwise. There was rumor around school that her mother had been assaulted by a Mer-Man and that she was the product of that.
Natalia turns to eye the mergirl curiously, offering her a slight smile as she takes in her appearance, and the fact that no one seems to careabout her presence, though possibly because Kyle is not present, but unfortunately, his goons are, and they feel they must keep up his work in his absence. Namely, Talia Cochran, a self styled and rather unnerving 'goth girl' who's current appearance is a mangy black pixie style haircut, a purple Apokalyptykult t-shirt, and slate grey and black kilt-like skirt over black combat boots.
After a fair bit of murmuring from the group of bullies around her, Talia begins chucking goldfish crackers at the poor girl, aiming for her gilled neck in particular. Natalia, having grown tired of these intrusions on her learning, not taking pride in her own state, reshaping her fear into confidence, and from other students being mercilessly bullied, stands suddenly. Turning to the bullies, a grinning Talia's face suddenly crosses into a look of horror as Natalia snarls, a unearthly sound, fangs bared, eyes blazing red, as the bullies scramble back into each other in fear,
Turning back to Andy and the mergirl, her face is once again normal and ever pleasant, as she offers a sheepish look.
"I'm sorry about that, I was tired of them picking on you. Are you alright?"
Misty was being quiet. Well even a portuguese had to take a break from time to time. Thought in this case it was a tad bit not sure what to do. Being a Goth Girl herself, she didn't really want to torment Talia at the same time she kind of wanted to protect the mer-girl. Oh well Natalia seemed to have it under control so... Surprisingly Misty went back to paying attention to the teacher. Yeah the ghost girl was that bored.
Personal rules of good roleplay
1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
The said teacher, Mr. Jacob Devore, was a stout and humorous man approaching his late thirties, or so it seemed. His noninappropriate disregard for the school dress code enforced this, as he wanders in, in simple cacki shorts and a Titan City Captains t-shirt, offset by a nice pair of brown flip flops. Entering quickly, he turns to eye Talia and her group of bullies who quickly get off of eachother, and right their seats. Shaking his head, muttering something about 'this city', begins this lesson in his eye catching way.
Eyeing the smartboard, he begins, his voice booming but not startling, ever comical. "Allllright, so!" He claps his hands together. "Today we are going to go over the French Revolution, or as I like to call it: that one time when France tried to pull a American and it got REALLY messy!" This earns a chuckle from even Natalia, as the man continues.
"So, who volunteers as tribute?" He takes a finger before pointing it around the room, as it lands on Andy. "Alright Andy, you are now King Louis XVI...what do you do during the French Revolution?"
Connor raised his hand, then promptly put it back down as someone else was called on. Sure, history was his subject of expertise (having ghosts help you cheat didn't hurt), he still knew he had to follow through with the classroom rules.
Ooh, it was such an easy question though...
Mr. Devore turned to Connor, as he smiled, offering.
"If Andy needs some help, feel free to offer, or do you have a different take on King Louis's actions?"
Misty couldn't help but wonder if she could remove her head. Thought for the life of her she couldn't think of a way. So she did the best second option she floated down and then back up in front of Connor so her head appears on the desk in front of him. "Monsieur have you seen my body? I fear I haven't seen it since my meeting with madame guillotine." She then laughed and floated up and about in the air.
Vincent couldn't help but make that one joke that Americans made about the French. He smirked to himself a whispered "Surrender?" His voice was soft, and he was placed a decent distance from the teacher, but on the off chance the educator had super senses...
Monty Python seemed appropriate. Toni called out, "Run awaaayyy! Can't remember where it was he ran to, though, sorry."
Connor stood up to begin, but before he could say anything, seemed to be captivated by something on his desk. His interest shifted to puzzlement, followed by a snort of laughter. He seemed to have forgotten he had a question to answer.
Mr. Devore himself chuckles at all comment, most of the intelligent students as well, Natalia included before he answers the question with a grin.
"Actually, you are both right. King Louis attempted to flee the Revolution and massecres in France with his spoiled and squandering wife, both were intercepted, and executed via dat guillotine!" He states humorously, adding. "And now all I can imagine is the both of them trying to run around in a guillotine waving the white flag for surrender, god I'm horrible." He jokes.
Dennis was fast asleep, his arms folded behind his head as he was trying to get some much needed rest."Ugh....You killing me, back up those are my sandwiches." He babbled out loud.
Note: Jorortis is still a character of mine and is still going to be in the super group, not Demirus, at least not yet...
Before Andy had a chance to answer, there was a rapid exchange of laughter and jokes, then Mr. Devore explained King Louis XVI's part in the Revolution. Laughing with the rest, he eyed Mr. Devore and put on a horrendous French accent. "Ah, but could we expect any more or less from a man whose mother was a hampster and whose father smelt of elderberries?!"
A 7 foot tall 300 pound man, walked toward the school entrance, in a black suit, white undershirt and a red tie with red crocodile skin shoes, he had permed under his fedora and black finger less gloves ,and he walked through the entrance, he was not a student, but could be a parent or guardian ,he walked into the office and took a seat, waiting for someone to come and acknowledge him.
"In his defense, Andy, I think we should remember the help he sent the Americans back when we were revolting," Toni said with mock severity.
Mr. Devore and the class laugh again at that, as he adds in rely to Toni's remark.
"That is right though. SO while we may thank them for that...they have some...moments."
ESSI appears in front of the man as she inquires gently, stating first.
"Welcome to James Duncan High School, I am ESSI: Educational Systems and Security Interface...how may I assit you today?"
The man, stood up and started to talk."Hello, my name is Marcus Cain." He grabbed the top of his hat and gripped the brim in his hand ,the iris of his eyes were like burning embers with yellow pupils, his necklace had a space for 7 gems, but one was missing from it. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Dennis continued to mutter and talk in his sleep as he tossed and turned on the floor."No , you cant have my cakes...bad Kitty!
ESSI nods, as she inquires.
"Ah, I assume you are Dennis Cain's father?"
Marcus let a smile come across his face ,as he continued to hold his hat in his hand. "Brother actually."
Dennis finally woke up and looked up at the clock noticing that school wasn't really close to being over letting out a groan.
ESSI nods, before inquiring.
"I see. May I ask what you need?"
"I need to speak with him." He placed his hand into his pocket , pulling out a gold plated pocket watch , checking the time before slipping it back into his pocket.
ESSI states with a established robotic monotone.
"He is currently residing in the ISS room, for an altercation. Unless this is a state of emergency or otherwise, I will not allow him out of that room, unless you are his guardian?"
"He lives alone ,I drop by every now and then to make sure everything runs, smooth....Now you said something about and altercation, did anything happen to his body during that altercation?"He looked at ESSI really needing to know the answer to that question.
ESSI stands firm as she reiterates.
"Are you his legal guardian? And why must you know?" She glares him down, as two superpowered guardians within the welcome room, tense up visibly, ready if this goes sour.
"Yes you could say that ,but I have to tell you, I am growing a bit impatient with all these questions, I just want to see my brother ,my blood." He looked at the guardians his eyes practically daring them to make the first move.
Misty turned her head looking off in the direction of the office. "Hmm. Sorry Connor seems something caught my attention more than french lessons." She drifted through the walls heading for the office to see why suddenly it was drawing more energy.
ESSI glares him down, not yielding, managing a rather intimidating stare for a hologram.
"If you plan on attacking, and I strongly advise you do not, or you do risk the entirety of the school's staff against you, superhumans and TCPD included. So allow me to ask my questions or face those consequences. First and foremost, why the urgency?"
"He is getting older , stronger, more dangerous and I feel as if school is has run its course for him."He placed his hands to his side."Now call off your boys, I don't want things to get too messy today.
ESSI is about to respond, but appears to be getting a message of sorts as she adopts a far off look, before speaking, tapping into the loudspeakers.
"Dennis Cain to the front office, please." ESSI then turns back to Marcus, before ensuring. "Since you are confirmed to be his standing guardian after searching through his records, you may take him...but do to your deposistion you are also clearly a threat to the students: if you approach school grounds again you will be detained or dealt with accordingly."
With that, the ISS doors open, as two superpowered guards stand to escort Dennis to the front office.
Dennis stood up as the doors opened up, and the two guards took him towards the office."What did I do this ti-..." He was caught off guard by the sights of his brother standing there before him, and his brother was equally surprised."Getting big eh?" Marcus said...but it did not amuse Dennis who had a scowl on his face as he didn't break eye contact with his brother."Don't look so shocked, you know you missed m-." A giant bone plated fist slammed into the face of Marcus, sending him flying backward through the office wall all the way into the parking lot onto a blue Sudan.
ESSI immediately shouts over the intercoms, lockdown like procedures engaging as classroom walls are slid over with a shock absorbing sheen.
"Attention all students and staff, a active superhuman altercation is on campus, do not panic, everything will be rendered shortly!" Having been fed up with both siblings, ESSI triggered her combat protocols as she encased both brothers in a cobalt stasis field.
"That is enough, the authorities are on their way!"
Damon was slightly startled by the sudden lock down and watched as the room's walls got closed off by shock absorbing sheen. He looked around the room for a moment, then shrugged and continued working in his notebook.
Natalia blinks as the walls come down, not expecting this much activity on her first day, but listens intently as Mr Devore lays out the rules, his voice shockingly serious.
"Alright, we need to remain quiet so we can hear when ESSI gives the all clear."
Rose simply sighs as the lockdown procedures begin, wishing she were anywhere else as they are enfoced.
Marcus shouted out, holding his face only his eye being shown through his hand, In a poof of burning embers, if it is successful then he would end up back inside the school, and he planned on taking Dennis away with him.
He would not be successful, as the stasis field holds and ensures he is kept down and out of the school, the main purpose of the tech in itself as supers begin to arrive along with TCPD metaspecialists.
Dennis simply sat down, making no noise at all feeling somewhat satisfied as he rolled his wrist.
Marcus let out a grunt of anger as he couldn't get out. "Good hit baby brother, too bad it wont help you in the long run." He started to laugh a bit, Dark blood pooling in his palm as he continued to cover his face.
Misty hovered nearby and narrow her eyes. "this is my haunting ground." With that she materialized and summoned a dark essence a being of nightmares. "Just say the word ESSI and I let Fido here have some fun."
TCPD SuperSWAT approached Marcus's position, before creating a large stasis field spanning 40 ft in a 360 degree arc surrounding both parties, as ESSI simply wills the field holding Marcus to roll into a stasis ring that will be loaded into a van. Seeing as he will be charged with trespassing on school property and intent to harm a minor, he will be delivered to TCPD jail instead of Hardlock.
Misty dispersed the dark being back to the netherworld and looked at Dennis "I bet he's a blast at Christmas."
Marcus, was thrown into a van."Oh no, looks like its to the big house for daddy-o" He gave a glance to one of the people who tossed him into the van."How bout this , you let me out of here so I can go walking in the moon light with ya."((Slang for I am going to kill you in the dead of night.))..
Marcus's only answer was the slamming doors of the transport vehicle closing, stasis tech in place to keep him immobile as it drives off under police escort off school grounds and ultimately out of the Old Bradford district, to deposit him at the local jail with the abforementioned measures in place. Seeing as the threat was dealt with, ESSI speaks calmly over the intercoms.
"The crisis has been averted, you are now free to continue class." And with that, the walls slid back into their moorings in the ceiling, like nothing had ever happened.
Natalia, who had busied herself by examining her nails and practicing staking movements emptyhanded in the darkness, before remarking as the lockdown ends.
"Well that was fortunately uneventful...like the French when they try to be brave in history."
"So what about me?" Dennis was still confused about what was going on.
ESSI gives off what can be interpreted as a robotic sigh, not of annoyance but pity as she responds.
"I suppose that alone served as enough punishment to endure...You and Mister Blake are removed from your ISS, but I will be contacting your...guardians about this in the future, and since you seem to be an emancipated minor, I suppose you will be asked later."
Toni closed the French textbook file on his tablet as Essi announced the end of the emergency. "So, when were we?"
Mr. Devore is about to reply, but he is cut off by the ever trusty 6th period bell, as well as ESSI tapping into the loudspeakers.
"All students and available staff please report to the Auditorium for our weekly hero visit."
Registering that, Natalia stands and begins to leave with the class, moving to fall into step with Toni, Andy, Alicia, and the mergirl, who she inquires.
"Are you alright? And what's your name? I'm Natalia."
Rose walks out with the rest of her chemistry class, searching for Toni in the hallway, finding him easily enough as she greets him with a grin.
"Well that was interesting. Suffer too much without me?"
Vincent would file in with the rest of the teens, he probably had enough cut-slips for the day anyways. Two of them by now, right? Something like that... His bag had anything he'd need to keep himself entertained should the hero in question end up be boring as all hell. A couple students looked like they already snuck off to get fancy coffees from the local coffee shop, big driving aviators on, heading out through a side door to the student parking lot.
"I survived," Toni grinned back. "I take it you recognized our speaker for today?"
Rose smiles as she replies happily.
"Mhmm! I wonder what he has to say, and if we could talk to him after?"
Misty headed for the Auditorium as well. After all she always looking for a good show and perhaps she could cause a little mischief as well.
"It's likely we could, but we wouldn't likely be alone when we did." Toni dropped his voice so that hopefully only Rose could hear, "or we could stand next to Miss Hall and think about asking her to relay a message..."
The Mer-girl smiled at Natalia's inquiry and spoke in a strange accent with a slight burble. "Yes, I am fine. Thank you for your concern."
As they walked, a student stopped to get a drink of water just as Kyle's pack and the Goth girl were walking by. The Mer-girl smirked, stopped, and twiddled her fingers a little bit. Water jetted out of the fountain past the student's head and formed 5 large bubbles, which then shaped themselves into watermelon-sized Goldfish snacks. They hovered in front of the pack of bullies and the Goth girl, who all stopped apprehensively, unsure of what to do.
With another twiddle of the Mer-girls fingers, the Goldfish charged at the 5 students, mouths wide open. The boys yelled and back-pedaled while the Goth girl just shrieked. The Goldfish engulfed their heads and then reverted back to simple water, completely soaking all five students. The Mer-girl grinned and went on her way, catching back up to Natalia and the rest. "Revenge is a dish best served cold... wet."
Natalia chuckles, not a fake or empty laugh, but a gleeful, resonating sound at her antics as she speaks in reply to the Mer-girl's antics.
"That was brilliant! You must tell me your name?"
Rose takes a moment to think about Toni's request, before answering just as quietly as he had spoken.
"Maybe we should entertain that option...let's think on it and decide later?"
The Mer-girl nodded to Natalia. "My name is Portia. And you are?"
Natalia smiles as she replies.
"Natalia Volin, it's a pleasure to meet you, may I never incur the wrath of aquatic goldfish." She jokes.
"Pray that you do not. They can be most vicious when provoked." Portia joked back. As they walked, another group of boys started wolf-whistling at them. The reason for this was that almost all of Portia toned abdomen and long swimmers legs were exposed. She wore what amounted to a very short pair of exercise shorts and an airy half-skirt that only concealed her butt and the sides of her hips. Her top covered slightly more than a jogging bra, but the straps were spaghetti-thin, leaving strong rounded shoulders and a powerful back exposed. Her overall level of fitness was rather impressive for a teenager. Portia's body was obviously built for speed in water. Every movement caused a flex or ripple of her lithe muscles. She looked over at the boys and blew them a kiss, then went on her way.
A new teacher stopped the two girls then and confronted Portia. "Young lady, your clothes are quite inappropriate! ESSI!"
ESSI shimmered into existence before the pair, as she stands to look over Portia, before commenting.
"She would be, but her accommodations for her status take precedence over over her appearance. I believe your mother informed the school of this, for your comfort?" She turned to Portia for confirmation.
Vincent couldn't help but hear the attention being drawn towards the Mer-girl's attire. It was true, she was dressed a little skimpy, but then, for Titan City, some supers ran around in Crime-fighting Bikini's for the sake of attention and sponsors... The Scrawny male passed by the teacher and gave a more-than-audible "Awww... Someone's Jealous." He grinned and paused near the teacher, letting his eyes lock with the older woman's long enough to let the two girl's slip away into the crowd of students filing towards the Auditorium. "There's no real dresscode here. Some Students are even hero's-in-training. Tights and speedos." His eyes held a defiant fire now, even without his powers a flame. The teacher couldn't keep her glare staring on for very long before turning he hear slightly away.
Portia nodded to ESSI, then turned to the teacher. She spoke not with an air of being victorious, but with one of seeking to inform. "ESSI is correct. I cannot cover up large portions of my body because it may result in my skin getting too dry. Dry skin is dangerously unhealthy for me. Especially around my gills, which I must keep saturated at all times." she said, pointing to the small device on her neck, which chose that moment to spritz her gills.
"Have a nice day, Ms. Newsom." Portia said to the teacher as she and Natalia walked away.
Natalia smiles to Portia, as she registers her informative tone, pondering. She isn't braggadocious or haughty, and seems friendly and down to earth, a trait she could admire. WIth that in mind she turns to Portia, inquiring.
"Would you like to hang out after school with me and a friend of mine, Alicia? I believe other students are as well for unrelated things, who have 'gifts' like us?" She also chooses that moment to send a scarlet glowing glare to the bullies who were attacked by the hydrogoldfish of doom earlier, fangs very briefly extended and flashed, causing them to scurry to the back of the mass of students headed towards the auditorium.
Dennis was now walking in the halls again, encountering the same people as before he was sentenced to being locked in with nothing but, those other to students."It feels good to be back, oh whats this" Dennis started to approach the goth girl.."Need a towel?"
Talia, the said goth girl, scowls him down angirly, before shoving past him as she races to a corner out of sight from the other students. After making sure she cannot be seen, she wills smoky shadow to envelop her body, purging the water from her skin before dissipating. As dry and disturbed as ever, she sulks pack to the pack of bullies, whispering so lowly that they cannot be heard, even by enhanced senses.
"I know you want to kill them, but we have to play this right. Those are our directions!" With that, the pack walks on and brushing past Portia and Natalia like nothing ever happened.
Dennis laughed."All right then sweet heart." He walked over to the rest of the group, "Hey guys."
Not sure if Rose had quite understood, Toni decided to be a bit more explicit, while still as quiet. "I wondered earlier if Miss Hall might be a telepath. I didn't ask, but she still answered."
Rose blinks at that, before stating slowly, ever quietly.
"Your sure? I mean completely?"
Toni nodded. "Thought you might like to know. What I'm less sure of, is that I don't think she'll tell anything unless someone's life is on the line. Or similar level of importance..."
As they came to the Auditorium, the sheer quantity of students made speaking softly impractical, as the noise of hundreds of students chatting would drown out anything less than a normal speaking voice...
Rose nodded as she replied with her tone in greater volume to be heard.
"Interesting. It looks like this is shaping up to be a fun semester." She smiles as she slyly takes his hand in her's as they find a place to sit.
Elsewhere, Natalia turns to Portia as she moves to sit near Rose and Toni, motioning her friends over as she saves a spot for the mergirl, speaking loudly enough to her.
"I believe the hero presenting today is Shepard."
As the pack of bullies passed Portia and Natalia in the gym, the mer-girl wrinkled her nose briefly and looked over at Natalia questioningly as they sat down. "Did you just get a whiff of wet dog?
Natalia's lip curls in disgust as the scent washes over her, but eyes the pack as she can't seem to tell WHO is emanating it, frighteningly enough.
"I can't tell who's sent it is, and I ALWAYS can. Which means this bears more investigation Portia...are you up for it?"
"By the way, Andy thinks it might be a good idea if we cut Madison some slack for a while, let him do his diplomacy thing." To anyone who's heard Toni refer to Miss Groves since they met, the use of "Madison" rather than "Maddie" (or "Mattie") would seem significant.
Rose notes this, as she blinks before inquiring.
"The same Madison who has done nothing but belittle us? Are you alright, eat something bad?" Her tone is serious.
"Well, I've always given as good as I've gotten, with her. I think you have, too. So if Andy can talk her into a cease fire, we can call it a draw, and that's one less bit of stress in our lives. Worth a try, I think. And who knows? He may be able to do a Cordelia on her."
Rose chuckles at the reference, but nods happily.
"Maybe mon ami, but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope for a cease fire too. Who knows, maybe she'll become a friend...though this means that someone will rise to take her place." She speculates.
"So what would I get for being a good girl and not haunt Mad Madison?" Came Misty voice a bit above the group. She was doing the breaststroke swimming in the air as she floated above their heads. "Or maybe I don't count in your little group ceasefire."
Rose affirms gently.
"I don't know...maybe a chance to become semi solid and actually attend school here? I believe it could be done?"
Setzer emerged from the shadows under the seating and jumped up onto Toni's lap, looking up at Misty and twitching the tip of his tail. Between this and Rose's comment to apparently empty air, Toni realized the ghost was back and cast his spirit-vision spell. "Sorry, I think I missed the first part of the conversation," he said as he began petting the cat.
Rose smirks at Setzer's arrival, petting the familiar briefly before restating.
"Misty I believe wants something in return for not bothering Madison if she becomes a possible friend, and I said we could maybe find a spell to make her semi solid or visible enough to attend school, regularly."
"Hmmm, I thought ghosts could make themselves material if they wanted to, it just takes a lot of energy," Toni mused...
Rose takes a moment to clarify.
"They can, but if we found a way to make it so it required no effort, she wouldn't have to waste so much energy."
"It's not just energy Fido. It's strain, kind of like holding your arm out straight with a weight ball in your hand. At first it's easy, but after time it's harder and harder to keep your arm out. Then you're a bit sore to try it again right away." She thought "Being solid... well I be on ESSI radar if I do that. Wouldn't just be Madison i wouldn't be able to spook, I would have to be more careful on spooking in general."
"Fido? Andy's dad is the Devil Dog, not me. So, you're thinking it's likely more trouble than it's worth?"
"Maybe ... oh well. I been dead since before the Atlas Hurricane. No real place to go figure I scoop out this fancy school. However being able to be solid and more interactive I be expected to well have an address and such ... My family died in that hurricane, well except my brother who gone. Have no idea where he went or what happened. It's just a lot to think about. Right now no one cares if I'm homeless."
"There's always the chance that we could try to uh, 'un-kill' you, you know," Connor says with a scratch of his head, lowering his voice so that the more normal students wouldn't overhear over the din of voices around them,, "though at least for me, whether or not that's possible would depend entirely on how long ago you died. I'm not sure how equipped your body would be to handle your soul if you've been dead for too long."
Alicia sits near Natalia and the others quietly, waiting for the presentation to begin. "I don't smell anything," she notes idly.
"Oh that won't solve anything. I still be on the streets without a family. Even if someone was still alive I don't think they will take me in. I wasn't a good person back then, not Bad I didn't wanted to hurt anyone, but I wasn't good. Drugs, ran away from home, stole, kind of let someone have their way with me for cash... yeah my body wasn't in the best of shape at the end. Then you have the bullet hole."
Rose frowns at Misty's words, before simply stating.
"Everyone deserves a second chance, Misty. Maybe we could grant you your's if you let us?"
Natalia turns back to Alicia as she explains.
"Portia noted the scent of a wet dog among Kyle's pack of bullies, I smell a werewolf among them, but can't identify them."
