"No, it doesn't. I'll let Benji know you can't make it." Andy added before taking a drink of milk and then picking up his burger again.
Putting yourself in another persons shoes emotionally is something that everyone has to experience eventually. It's part of learning to be a human being. Roleplayers do it for fun.
Rose smiles as she replies.
"Good! And on that note, I think this training will pay off, I mean we do live in Titan City."
Natalia takes a moment to reply as she states.
"I know the way, but I fear not having a place to sit."
"Never argue with stupid people; they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
Damon went to the cafeteria as well. He got some food, which was all vegetarian, and walked over to a still free table somewhere in the far end of the cafeteria. While using his left hand to eat his salad with a fork, he was also doing something in his notebook with a pencil in his right hand. He occasionally picks up a rubber to erase something and then continues.
Toni had seen Rose at the Colonel's dojo on occasion, but had never realized what she was studying there. Clearly he needed to pay more attention. "Krav Maga, eh?"
Foradain, Mage of Phoenix Rising.
Millennium City RefugeeForadain's Character Conclave
Vince's Reaction was tame enough, letting out a little sigh after holding his breath from when she showed up, more or less, on cue. "Why's everyone gotta rag on my women skills" He muttered, more or less inaudibly. "Not like I was trying to win anyone over." His nearly-silent voice trailed off, letting the apology sink in. No heat surge to be found, so it was safe to say he wasn't having any kind of adverse reaction at the moment. Quick to boil, quick to chill perhaps? "I guess we're cool then..." He finally said at audible levels, standing to offer a rather neutral handshake. There was still a tinge of guilt, so his shoulders stayed just slightly slumped down, and he could only bring himself to make fleeting eye contact, but the effort was there.
Stalkers don't die: They simply... Disappear.
'He stood up from the table and wiped his hands off a bit before standing as he noticed the boy sitting alone, and he walked over to him."Hey I don't think we have met before."He extended his hand out.
Note: Jorortis is still a character of mine and is still going to be in the super group, not Demirus, at least not yet...
Damon finished chewing the salad he just had put in his mouth and swallowed it, then saying"I saw you in the danger room. I'm Damon Blake." He released his pencil and extended his hand as well to give Dennis a handshake, then picking his pencil back up and continuing his work.
"Names Dennis Cain. I and I saw you punch some kids block of today ,that was funny."He took a seat opposite to Damon and looked back."Well speak of the devil." As soon as those words came from his mouth, Kyle Coleman, the one who had attempted to bully Damon came around the corner, his nose taped up, his posse of 4 other people walking with him.
"Funny or not, he deserved it." Damon said, mostly concentrating on his work, as he didn't even notice Kyle.
"That's what makes it funny, because you know he is a douche ,and its not often he get put in his place."Dennis told him as Kyle and his little group made there way to there table, only for one out of the group to look up towards the table with Dennis and Damon and say."Hey, isn't that the kid you broke your nose?" As he pointed.
Damon looked up, as he heard someone besides Dennis speaking and saw Kyle and his goons, then asked:"Broken nose wasn't enough?"
Thought unseen her head peeks into the room through the wall. "Oh... I hear trouble brewing. This should be fun."
Personal rules of good roleplay
1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
Dennis looked towards the group of bullies and couldn't help but laugh when he saw Kyle nose, all taped up, Only for a single one of them to look into his direction and bark."What are you laughing at ,fat boy? Don't you have some doughnuts to eat or something?" There was a roar of laughter in the posse of people, only for Kyle to walk towards Damon and grab the collar of his shirt.
Dennis took the insult, and grinned a bit clasping his hands ,trying his best to avoid any problems.
Damon reacted swiftly and grabbed Kyle with both hands by his head and threw him over the table, two feet from Dennis' head. Damon's strength would force Kyle to release his shirt, as he was flying over the table.
More of the goons lunged toward Damon, only for Dennis to catch two of them by the backs of the necks and throw them over the table as well, both of them slamming right into kyle ,who was in the process of standing back up, but there was still the two who were lunging at Damon to deal with, Dennis ran after one f them grabbing him and slamming him onto the table, a crack forming in it as the same bone like things that were on Dennis's hands formed over his teeth, making them long and jagged as he roared in the face of the goon who had insulted him leaving Damon with the last one.
Damon got up from his chair quickly to catch the remaining bully's swinging fist, then punched him in the stomach and threw him into the pile of bullies, under which Kyle was lying.
At this point the kid who was in Dennis's grasp was pretty scared, because he was actually urinating on himself and crying, as Dennis was inching his now shark like mouth closer and closer to the goons face.
"No need to eat his face, now." Damon said to Dennis and sat down back in his chair.
I wouldn't have to Damon , but i'm just so fat...I cant help it."He looked into the goons eyes." Ain't that right? The poor bully couldn't even respond, as he went into shock and passed out, having a mild heart attack, Dennis picked him up and tossed him into the rest of the bullies who were trying to get out of the lunch room, his face returning to normal as he sat back down.
Damon looked at the puddle the pissing bully left and said:"That was unnecessary." As he then continued eating his salad and doing his work.
Dennis shrugged ,"I might actually eat him next time."
"And get put in jail for murder?"
It was a joke."I'm not going to eat a per...Never-mind so , where you from?"
"I'm from Alexandria and also, i don't like jokes, which include some form of death or murder." Damon shut his notebook and now focused entirely on eating his salad. He was eating slowly.
"I can understand not realizing a slender, rather girly-looking, boy isn't a pushover, but someone who apparently already broke his nose today? Is Coleman actually getting more stupid? He never tried anything with me after that one time." Toni shook his head.
"Well see you around, Dennis stood up and walked away from the table ,and brushed past Toni of the way to the bathroom.
"I wonder how he hasn't dropped out yet." Damon said, referring to Kyle.
Misty ended up sitting at a table. Oddly enough people moved away from her by instinct, trying to get away from the cold spot they tell themselves. "Oh that was brutal. Nothing good going to come from that."
Dennis returned from the bathroom, not wanting to sit at a crowded table he noticed one that many people have moved from."Hmm."He walked over there and took a seat.
She smiled at Dennis of course she wasn't visible... at least to those who weren't mediums. However the light overhead did flicker and there was that chill in her general area.
Connor shrugs. "You can sit outside or something if they run out of tables. Which they won't, but still," he states before beginning to walk towards the cafeteria. "Just sit anywhere you want or something, it's not a big deal."
Alicia merely watched the earlier confrontation, having no words or actions to contribute towards the matter. In fact, she kept eating her food as best she could, trying to ignore it for the most part. Some time after its conclusion, she looks up at Damon with her normal expression. "There was a better way of settling that."
"Maybe there was, but i didn't see one." Damon replied.
"Physical violence leads only to fear or further revenge. Fear, in most circumstances, is unusable, and spreads in ways one may not want it to, while revenge only continues until one side grows sick of it." Alicia pauses, taking a bite of her food and swallowing before continuing. "You could have talked to a teacher about it."
"I don't have to talk to a teacher. Kyle is going to get his butt kicked more and more unless he leaves me alone." Damon then finished his last piece of salad and got up. He returned his empty bowl and fork, then walked out of the cafeteria.
Natalia shakes Vince's hand, sadly and internally noting his guilt as she adds, almost as an afterthought. "Why don't you come to lunch with us?" In reference to her and Connor, and walks towards the cafeteria, halfway there until her senses perk up, at the sound of fighting. She shakes her head, clearly unamused as she mutters. "Boys, can't ever get anything done rationally." And with that, she gingerly walks into the cafeteria, immediately and thankfully spotting Toni, Rose, and Alicia, stopping briefly at the stench of urine and making a face.
Shaking it off, she saunters over to their table with a admirable confidence and lack of mental befuddlement as she moves to take a seat next to Toni.
"Uhm, I hope I'm not intruding on anything?" She inquires, amidst shaking her head at the herd of bullies fleeing.
Rose was about to reply to Toni's statement, before the fighting began, something that bothered Rose immensely from the looks of it. While Kyle was a downright prick, being bullied like that from Dennis and to an extent Damon was not right in any capacity. She takes a moment to speak, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yeah, started about two months ago, Benji's a great teacher." However, she can't take her eyes off the expression of a terrified and fleeing Kyle, before being rudely snapped back to the present as Madison Groves storms to their table. And something is different now, her presence is definately grating, odd, and cold...more than just the aura of a popular girl it seems for the span of a second, as she accosts.
"Keep your pets on a leash, he could have killed Kyle!" She points a finger at Damon, before growling to Dennis. "And so could he, overgrown tub of lard doesn't know when to lie down and-" She would be cut off by the sharp voice of Rose.
"Madison, that's enough!" At that, the girl chuckles.
"Oh, this is rich! Little miss Gypsy sticking up for the freaks...is there where I get my money back for the tickets to this freakshow?" At this, Rose grits her teeth, not aout to start a fight herself, and this is evident as she looks over the table and to Dennis and Damon.
She wanted to handle this herself.
Dennis remained calm and collected regardless of the insults hurled his way."I could have killed Kyle, and all of his friends but i didn't because then I would have to go to jail , and I would never see all these other great people again." ,he was referencing all the people he met earlier that day.
Connor slowly rubs his face with his palm. He was too tired for this crap. "Where's that fancy AI when you need it," he grumbles, looking over to the ensuing fight. "Can everyone please act stupid later and after all the hungry people are done eating? Please?" He says, sighing loudly, "this really isn't the place for this sort of thing, it's really disruptive to just about literally everyone else."
Despite the dissatisfaction of some of the others, Alicia simply remains quiet, eating her food. "You need to leave," she says calmly, after taking the time to enjoy her food as best she could.
Madison growls as she replies, ever shrewdly.
"That's not the point! You only stopped because of the consequences, not because you have a heart under all of that fat!" And as if on cue, ESSI appears in a blue haze, looking none to pleased as she issues out swift commands.
"Mister Cain, Mister Blake, Mister Coleman, to the in school suspension room, NOW, in E102." Her tone leaves no room for debate, as Kyle and co. head for the aforementioned room lined with hidden security cameras and power dampeners should they be needed.
Madison simply growls to the girls, stepping back slightly at Alicia's tone, but it is a final, simple warning look from Natalia that ensures the she stalks off back to her table, circumvented. Rose offers a grateful smile to Alica and Natalia before speaking.
"Thank you, I don't know how long I could have kept quiet from that." Natalia adds in reply. "Think nothing of it, it was simply necessary."
"Damn it.."Dennis started to walk towards the school suspension room, he made his way by Madison table ,giving her a mocking wink, only to turn back around and go towards the suspension room becoming the first one in the room, plopping down onto the floor not even using a chair.
Damon arrived at the suspension room as well, after listening to ESSI.
Dennis pulled out a small box of chocolates and started to eat them as he awaited for the last person to show."Hey." He said as he saw Damon walk in.
"Hey..." Damon said, then leaned against a wall with his notebook and opened it. He reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a pencil, afterwards proceeding to write something, while waiting for Kyle to show up.
Connor smirks a bit as the other students were led out of the cafeteria. "Right on time," he mutters quietly. "Glory to the programmers."
"They were disrupting my lunch time," is the only thing Alicia has to voice on the matter.
Kyle did show up, escorted by a fuming Principal Ellis, urging the bully to sit into a chair as she began.
"I don't care who said what or did what before, all of your conduct was awful and shameful. You will remain here for the rest of the day, until 5;30 this afternoon, to be repeated for the next four days, if you have any objections, your parents can reach out to me for terms of your out of school suspension or expulsion. I expected more from you Damon, you as well Dennis. Am. I. Clear?" She inquires with a warning tone.
Natalia offers a smile to Alicia and Connor at that as Rose chuckles, before Natalia adds.
"On that note, I should probably eat...any recommendations?"
Damon goes to sit down in a chair furthest from Kyle, while saying. "Yes, clear." Then opening his mouth as if wanting to say something more, but immediately shuts it and sits down. He continued writing in his notebook.
"Clear." Dennis placed his hands in his lap.
With that, Principal Ellis exits the room curtly, as the door to the suspension room slides shut behind her.
Connor looks over to the lunch line dismissively. "I dunno, what do they have today?" He asks no one in particular before scanning the day's offerings from afar, "they've usually got some pretty decent stuff, you can't really go wrong with most stuff."
Dennis turned and lied onto his stomach and started doing push ups ,counting to himself."One...two..three." He got up."alright that's enough of that.
Keith came to the lunchroom late, having gotten in the batting practice....he was walking up to the line when he heard someone ask what can be recommended. He turned and said " The cheesesteaks are always decent......and get the spicy fries " ......
Misty was up to no good. Thought some might say it was for a good cause. She moved behind Madison and simply blew on her neck at the moment she went to drink her soda.
Dennis stood up and took a seat, he pulled it back towards the wall, and pressed back onto it ,reaching into his pocket for some snacks only to notice they were all out, he looked up at the camera."I am out of stuff to eat , I am going to need some more.." He said it with some urgency to his voice.
Madison outright shrieks, her soda thankfully spiling on the table ahead of her, unfortunately all over her friends, who walk off acting as if their clothes and shoes have been murdered.
Natalia considers this for a moment, nodding, before moving though the luncline, returning with a bowel of homemade macaroni and cheese, a side of spicy fries, cheesesticks, and a simple water bottle. Taking a tentative bite into the mac and cheese, her face lights up in a blissful epiphany, before beginning to politely scarf down the entire bowel.
"You did not inform me they were blessed."
Her ghostly laugh echoed with joy. Thought only those who could easy hear spirits would pick it up. She didn't want to tip Madison off that she got haunted. "Oh Now that how you torment a bully."
"Well I dunno if it's that good," Connor says as he looks over to another table almost immediately, watching as Madison sprays her drink all over the others at the table. "Oh for the love of..." He trails off, pursing his lips and sighing. "Not today. Not gonna bother. Nope."
"Damon ,What you got in that book ,if I may ask."
"Calculations, theories, blueprints, drawings, formulas." Damon replied.
Dennis looked at him."Nice."
Rose and Natalia look over to a fuming Madison, as the former simply shakes her head at Misty's antics, the latter opting to turn to Alicia as she inquires.
"You seem to know a fair bit about me, may I ask something of you?" She asks in a attempt to spark a conversation, as Rose implores to Connor.
"Do whatever you this is right, mon ami."
Dennis was starting to feel a little uneasy as he was getting more and more hungry his movements started to become more twitchy and erratic as he started to rock back and forth a bit .
Connor just sighs and shakes his head, looking over at the other table for a moment before looking back at Rose. "I'm just gonna...Not bother with that right now. Not worth the time or the effort at this point," he says, waving dismissively. "I could, but, just no."
Alicia's eyes flick over towards Natalia as she speaks, watching her a moment before responding. "You can ask something if you want to. I may not be able to answer depending on what you say."
WIthout a moment to spare, a lunch lady gingerly enters the room, rolling in entire cart filled with the entire cafeteria's selection o food, a second cart behind her with snakcs from the now fixed vending machine, left near the door.
Rose blinks as she implores, her expression gentle.
"And why not?"
Natalia takes a moment to inquire.
"It seems you know a fair bit about me, what would you have me know of you? Where are you from?"
"Thank you." With that Dennis moved to the food , bum rushing anyone who was an the way, almost knocking the whole cart over the bone coating his hands and lower forearms as he got a hand full of spaghetti and scarfed it down fallowing it with a bite of cheeseburger chugging a cola, as he took down a whole slice of pizza.
"Too tired," Connor says as he plops down in the nearest available chair, "I lost my coffee before I finished it earlier."
Alicia looks over again, studying her expression briefly. "Titan City," she responds after a moment, "I've lived here all my life, and I'm on business when I go anywhere else."
Rose smirks, before getting up and heading over to a coffee stand entitled Coffee Colossus, a native Titan City Brand that caters premium coffees and breakfast pastries. She returns twenty seconds later with two cups, a cinnamon ginger latte for herself, and a caramel macchiato which she slides to him.
"I imagine our resident poltergeist stole it, this is probably fresher and better anyway."
Natalia nods as she offers her own birthplace.
"I was born in Prague, within the Czech Republic. I immigrated to Titan City roughly a few weeks ago...it's a bit of a culture shock, actually."
Misty went out of the cafeteria and headed for the suspension rooms to peek in on the bad kids of the school. At least that was the plan she flew headlong into the wall with even an audio zap as the Wards prevented her from entering. She blinked waking up laying on the hallway floor looking to the ceiling. "Owwie."
Vince would have declined the invite for Lunch. He had to mix up a little more chaser before he got on with the day. His flask carried the life-line supply he needed, but his locker had the two-part mixer that made up chaser. The halls were relatively empty, save for the occasional couple lurking around corners for a place to try to make out or to cuddle. The teen couldn't help but sigh internally at the sights. Lucky folks... he thought. Finally at his destination, he spun out the combination, and popped the door open. A little shelf folded out from the inside, a type of turntable. He placed the flask on the little 6 inch long shelf, and placed a glass next to it. See, Chaser had two parts. The concentrated Chemical that reacted to proved the super power burst, and the part that included everything that made chaser even vaguely palatable, plus the catalyst: Gasoline.
Just a shot worth of the chemical, and the rest of the glass was filled with the catalyst-mixer. The concoction bubbled and fizzed, then finally changed color from a brown, to a bright orange. After the mix was down, and the drug was ready, he placed a funnel over the flask, and poured it into the container. The scrawny teen made sure to tightly cap everything off and neatly fold the shelf up. It almost looked like a full on Chemical lab tucked away behind his textbooks, but then, it was a necessity. Finally the door was shut, and the dial spun into a random position so other students wouldn't be able to guess the last number of his locker. Vince gave the flask a little whirl, equalizing the concentration of chemical through the whole container before tipping the bottle back for another half sip. Just a precaution. Partly to keep the flask from spilling if he opened it carelessly next time, and partly because he didn't know how much he'd thrown up earlier. A tiny bit extra didn't do too much in his experience at least.
Andy got up from the table and fetched a small stack of napkins, then took them over to Madison's table. "Here, you might need these." he said. He started to walk back to the table, then hung his head and cursed softly. He'd told himself that giving Madison the napkins was all he was gonna do, but then he turned around and sat down across from her.
Andy had always been a diplomat, trying to help others to get along and see things from another perspective. As such, he was relatively popular or at least well-known, because people knew they could seek him out as a sort of student moderator / counselor. However, this would be the first time he'd tried talking to someone like Madison.
"Hi Madison, how's it going today?" he asked, his tone genuine.
Connor looks down at the coffee, nodding and muttering a thank-you before taking a careful sip. "Sometimes I tell myself I need to stop drinking my stuff, but I need to stay awake somehow.
"I can imagine," Alicia says quietly, "I haven't lived anywhere else. It must be strange to be thrown into something so different."
Madison trades him a look that usually sends lesser students scattering for some sort of cover, but she simply deadpans in a dry, cold tone.
"How do you THINK, Andy? My boyfriend could have been killed, I might by losing a lead role in a play to gypsy-Rosanne or whatever her name is, and to top it off your sitting in front of me." She crosses her arms. "Care to rub more salt in the wounds?"
"Well, had your boyfriend not chosen to be aggressive towards someone who could obviously do him serious harm, that fight and subsequent humiliation could have been avoided. However, I saw that fight and there was no point at which Kyle was in danger of said bodily harm. He was thrown over a table and his friends landed on top of him. But, that doesn't mean that Damon or Dennis' actions were correct, either. Damon could have easily removed Kyle's hands from his shirt without throwing him across the table. All the parties involved were in the wrong and they're now paying the price for their unthinking actions." Andy said, ignoring her death glare.
"As for Rose possibly getting the part instead of you, would you prefer that no one had been in competition for the part and you got it by default? If Miss Hall chooses Rose instead of you, it's because she saw something in Rose's audition that she didn't see in yours. Instead of stewing about it, then berating and insulting Rose, you should study her. Determine for yourself where it is that she was superior and work on that part of your performance. Ask Miss Hall or, heaven forbid, ask Rose where it is that you need to work to improve yourself." he continued, trying to break through to the angry socialite.
"You can't let the setbacks, even the imagined ones, in your life turn you into a bitter and angry person Madison. You believe that Kyle's defeat reflects poorly on you, because you chose to date him. That's not the case. What is more likely is that anyone who cares is wondering why Kyle would pick a fight with someone like Damon. And if Miss Hall chooses Rose, you shouldn't be embarrassed. You should learn from it and use the "snub" to make yourself a better performer." Andy said, finishing his counter-argument.
Madison's face is unreadable, though her tone speaks volumes as she states coldly.
"Kyle's an idiot, simply put. And maybe your right, maybe I could ask Rose, but then I would be no better than the rest of you." She takes a moment to ponder her words after this, before stating curtly.
"Why would she even help me, after everything I have done and said? Hell, why are you here, talking to me like I'm a actual human being?"
Andy ignored the part about not being better than the rest. "Rose would help you because she is a kind and caring person who derives enjoyment from social interaction and a good performance. She doesn't see anyone as being above or below her. I might suggest starting any conversation with a simple apology so that there isn't any hurt feelings getting in the way."
"I'm here because I see someone who could use a genuine friend as opposed to superficial fashionista wannabe's who spurn her because she accidentally spilled a drink on clothing that is easily replaced. If I may ask, why do you talk about yourself like you're not an "actual human being?" he inquired.
Connor looks over to the one-on-one conversation going on at the other table, then cups his hands and calls over to them. "Conversations are usually more conductive in groups, you know!'
Madison smirked, a actually attractive gesture as she replies.
"Maybe Andy, maybe I'll stoop to giving an apology and dancing in rainbow land with Rose." She mocks, though their are hints of genuine interest in her tone. She then adds without skipping a beat at your question.
"When you grow up being called a drain on your parent's rather exorbitant funds and lifestyles, and a decorative token to Christmas and cocktail parties, it doesn't take long before you feel like all that is keeping Mommy and Daddy from sending you outside with the dog is the ugly client losing legal rammifications of CPS." And with that, Madison abruptly stands, and walks out of the lunch room ever gracefully.
Like she hadn't let down her icy armor at all.
Toni let Rose handle Maddie herself, as he tried to determine if he was included in the "freaks" comment. He hadn't known Maddie was capable of that much anger...
After Natalia sat down, he tried to rejoin the conversation. "I've been to a few other places, but only for visits. Detroit. New York."
Andy got up quickly and caught up with Madison just outside the door. "What they say about you means nothing. I could give you more empty platitudes, but those accomplish very little. If you ever feel the need to blow off some steam, try coming down to my father's dojo at 7th and Old Main. I or one of the other instructors can show you some simple de-stressing techniques."
Andy handed her a business card, smiled, and then headed back inside. He went back to the table and sat down at his tray again.
Rose looks after Maddie sadly, not jumping into to the conversation with the others as she watches the other girl walk off, Madison herself with residual anger and pangs of...jealousy clogging her thoughts. She had NEVER opened up to anyone like that before, not her dimwitted therapist, the alcoholic nanny...no one. It was strange and ugly, to be opened up like you were being picked and prodded at like and overzealous surgeon.
Card in hand, she looked over the address for a long moment before simply stuffing it in the back pocket of her jeans. Maybe, MAYBE she would try out this stupid dojo....at the very least it got her out of the estate.
Rose shakes off the feelings for Madison stewing around before turning back to Connor, smiling as she replies.
"It's not all bad, and if it helps you help people, IF it's not hurting you, is there harm?"
Natalia nods to Alicia in reply, as she states curtly.
"There are some things I miss, but Titan City is rather accommodating...almost overwhelmingly so. I keep waiting for this dream to pass and be back in my village." She states softly. She then turns to Toni, curious.
"And what were they like?"
Misty was staggering. Yeah staggering through the wall and bumps into a few random kids who looked around for what ever bumped them. "Someone got the number of that truck?"
"New York, well, Manhattan Island, is like Titan City's Downtown on steroids, tripled and then squeezed down to fit. Except for Central Park in the middle of it. The people I met were friendly, but my Mom warned me to stay out of certain areas, especially after dark. But then there are areas like that here, too." Toni paused to finish off a chip. "Detroit is... mostly like Ironport, except for the downtown area and the area around the Renaissance Center. They got hit by the recession bad, and haven't recovered yet."
Natalia blinks at the in depth description, before replying.
"New York sounds mostly promising, and Detroit sounds rather...depressing, yet it would a adventure to visit each of these places. And why did you visit, if I may ask?"
Toni finished off his milk before replying. "My parents are divorced, and my mom - she's a reporter - decided to go where she could get the best jobs. She was in New York for a while, and now she's a news anchor in Detroit. So when I went to visit her, that's where I went."
Natalia nods at that sadly, before offering.
"I am sorry to hear that..but at the very least it's good you get to see her?"
Toni glanced at Rose, but hoped no one else noticed; there was a story that was not his to tell. "Yes, compared to a lot of people I still have things pretty good."
Rose looked back to Toni with a warming and understanding smile, before turning back to eat her meal placidly. Natalia takes in Toni's words before inquiring.
"Life hasn't dealt you too much of a bad hand yet, then. And I apologize for my forwardness and interrogation." She apologizes.
Dennis seemed to have lost track of time, waiting for the time to end, he had food ,but now he was ready get out."Ugh....What time is it.."
Family, misty went to sit by the window listening in on talk about life dealing you a bad hand. As well about family. What did happen to them? Did they lived through the Atlas Hurricane? Did they... forgave her? Shaking her head she pushed those memories and feelings down. Again as she did remember the dark times of her past there was more of a dark gloom about her.
"Look at the clock." Damon said, because there would obviously be a clock in every room, at least he thought so. He didn't bother to lift his head up from his notebook.
ESSI replies without taking form in the room through the seamless wall speakers.
"It is 12:20, Mister Cain."
And on that note, Lunch ends with the bell signaling the end of lunch and the beginning of 5th period.
As the bell rings out around them, Rose reaches for her bag gingerly, sidehugging Toni for a moment before speaking as she walks off.
"Bye Alicia, Natalia, it was nice to meet you! See you Connor, Andy!" With that, she departs for Chemistry, walking slow enough that anyone wants to join her can.
Natalia waves in goodbye, before standing herself as she quickly departs for the same class, her silent smile speaking just as loudly as Rose's goodbye in terms of volume as she heads off.
Toni shook his head. "No apologies needed. You're a stranger in a strange land, you pretty much have to ask questions, or it will always be strange to you."
