So as of late I have been getting an inkling to finally start writing again (although College is still proving irritating as it takes a lot of my time these days). I think I might get around to writing backstories for my new characters (Phage, Datastream, Monochrome, and Sanguine), Gepetto (reworked Marionette, I initially was going to give the name of Freakshow but that name sounds more villainish), and Faust.

Some interesting notes about the new characters that I have thought of so far.
- Phage is a anti-villain/rouge plant controller. He has had his powers since birth (his appearance reflected that since birth) but never knew the sheer scale of how powerful he was. Phage's backstory will be a bit inspired by Carrie. Essentially he will endure a long bullying campaign (because he had the luck of being forced to go to a school with a lot of anti-capes), will have something particularly traumatic happen to him, and have his powers go completely haywire and engulf the school in beautiful, exotic yet dangerous plants that can form into creatures. As one might guess the bullies will end up getting killed in this incident. Initially Phage will get treated like a complete monster but someone will come forward with a video of the traumatic incident taking place which won't save him but atleast get him a lighter sentence. Basically he gets sent to a special mental asylum for capes with hard to control powers in Titan City. Before the incident Phage just thought his power was to create exotic, unique species and waterbearing plants out of almost nothing (still needs a water source of course). Based somewhat on Skitter from Worm
- Sanguine is a blood controller, hero, and a healer. She is commonly seen making rounds around hospitals in Titan City and usually works alone unless Crow (Sebastian) shows up. She does not operate out of Titan City. I am not quite sure what I want to do with her backstory yet. But I do know that she basically evokes an bandaged angel motif in purpose. The funny thing about her is initially I was going to give her a demon motif (one of my older names for her was Bloodletter or Bloodshot). Based somewhat on Pancea from Worm
- Monochrome is basically my really old, first character from CoH aka Glimmer. She's an light manipulator/illusionist. She is a very paranoid but dangerous assassin that generally works as a rouge mercenary. As her name might suggest her powers commonly drain all of the color out of her, making her look gray and muted.
- Gepetto is actually going to be from the UK in this rework. He had a rather vicious and near fatal accident in the past which gave him his powers. His body was so badly mangled that he was offered by another cape a new body aka a impervious human sized porcelain doll made in his original image. His actual power is psychic in origin. He uses telekinesis to bind and sew together dolls, mannequins, scarecrows, and fabrics together. He can't actually physically talk but he can psychically do it. He cannot use his psychic powers for anything else. Datastream has created devices to make his outer appearance look more fleshy when he is running his fashion company. Imagine a male version of the Pale Doll from Bloodborne with a rather lavish Ringmaster looking outfit. He also runs a toy company on the side and is a rouge. Based somewhat on Mannequin and Parian from Worm.
- Faust was originally a normal everyday person that was just bored with life and was jealous of capes powers. An trickster deity took notice and made a deal, a Faustian deal, with him. He gets a power and he acts as his agent to truly make an impact on the world. Faust took it without hesitation but he didn't realize exactly what the trickster meant by that. Turns out the power he got ate away at his sanity and made him try to suicide charge towards cape battles. An villainous necromancer by the name of Graveturn accidentally killed him at one point. Now Faust controls his body and Graveturn is stuck in his head with him. This concept was based on the Butcher from Worm.
- Datastream is a stream of...code that managed to somehow attain sentience. It can attain data on how to build particularly advanced unorthodox technology (that is mostly cosmetics) just by briefly studying some parts. It also can use said data as a weapon via imitating fighting and weapon styles (it can dial down the lethality) of the more dangerous weapons. Kind of an oddball concept that I might change a bit
- Dread gets a nicer name (his new name is Sandman which is both an endearing and subtly terrifying name) and costume (You know those little cloth creatures from Journey? Yeah, he purposefully makes his costume look like one). Also he learns how to be more approachable in his civilian identity.

Oh yeah. I also have a new character idea. Meet Wisp. He's basically a controller of a bunch of tiny cute looking ghosts (imagine Ghost Widow's abilities)

He can't control human ghosts for the most part. Still need to figure out what his ghosts actually are then though. He can temporarily ''possess'' people with said ghosts.

There is also other ideas. Mainly for other villains....

There is Parasite (name subject to change), his powers basically require him to implant parasitic lifeforms into a live body of a host. He can then forcibly mutate the host. Based off Necromorphs from Dead Space and The Thing

Then there is Splice. Splice is the villain who made White Rabbit into what he is. He is basically a mad scientist that loves to mess with DNA (which is where got his name from). He loves experimenting and has a few monsters and assistants under his beck and call.

There is also ideas going around my head about a wire controller, glass controller, demon controller, dream controller, and a few others.
