It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.

Dustin is a new character for CoT, all of his powers are based around controlling and manipulating wind/air. His rush ability Is a mixture of super speed and teleportation accompanied, with some focus, an offensive burst of wind.
She seems very entertaining! Any idea what classification she might be? I haven't decided for Terry yet, he started as a blaster and eventually grew beyond the concept, hence alting him out so much. I hope CoT makes is do I don't have to alt him out to play all his RP powers.
Cerebella/Sabrina is one of my various alts from CoH, my Psychic Blast/Assualt toon that I hope to revive in City of Titans, but also engage in new experiences with, and a new SG with diverse characters is a great start! :)
One plot I may put into play is that Sabrina is working as a journalist for the Promethium Herald, and manages to gain the location of an abandoned clock tower that the Wanderers could use as a base of operations, once retrofitted....but is it truly abandoned? ;)

That sounds like a fantastic idea Gladatoria! I had some plots in CoH involving his family, but to be honest those angles aren't very interesting anymore, what's more it would be rehashing old stories. Last base they had in CoH was in a bunker in boomtown, under the remains of his family building. (There used to be a set of W shaped beams in the middle of boomtown that I claimed was the location.)
Speaking of bases, Oh man, I hope the base builder in this is amazing. I once made clean rooms for technology repair, wheelchair lifts for disabled heroes, a lost boys style warehouse with woods and tent city for a 'childrens' SG I had in CoV.
I love the idea of an abandoned building, depending on the age there could be hauntings, Oh! Or clockwork minions! We could get a Motorhead infestation! Plus abandoned buildings tend to be used for all sorts of illicit activity, occult rituals, time vortexes, minion storage...
There are plots involving the growth of Terry's powers too, he mentioned matter decomposition as part of his abilities and it never got much attention (Since I mistakenly tried RPing the idea right before the second rikti war), but as Terry's powers grow he'll eventually be able to deconstruct and reconstruct his body, before gaining control though he'd essentially go missing for a time.
Great thoughts Wanderer, and I was maybe thinking they actually come across a terrorist for the Agents of Revolution, a disgruntled man aiming to detonate the clocktower, himself, and numerous sections of Ironport in order to purge the city of 'The cancer that is Ironport, sucking the life from the other areas of Titan City...'. Requiring our ragtag group of heroes to work together as a team...
Or something along those lines, thoughts or ideas?
((Oh and as a bonus, Cerebella/Sabrina will post a headline entry for each one of their abilities, the first being their meeting, 'Coffeehouse Heroes', with by the time CoT launches, we will have numerous newspaper chronicles of the group's adventures, memorabilia for the base...:) ))

everything so far sounds awesome, love the clocktower base idea. I've never really done this before but it always looked fun. Oh, BTW, my character is Support, he has great crowd control abilities based off the wind control set that leaked for CoX, and buffs that more or less stem from the storm summoning powerset.
I've always loved stormy toons! Wind control is a really great idea, and I like your name. If any of you are interested in making a suit just for example, there's a site called Hero Machine, it's amazingly extensive.

Sandy is a Time Control/ Illusions Sentinel.
She is in human years.... roughly 9000 years olds... Or in her dimension... about 12.
She has borderline zero control over her abilities due to her age. in her dimension her abilities are considered natural, nothing extrodinary about them at all.
When her people reach adulthood they travel dimensions to learn about others...... so at about 16000 years of age.

I don't mind, but I am easily confused, much like Turbulence, so if you are gonna do that, maybe do multiple posts, with the name of who's point of view it is or something not sure how that would look. In the end it is up to you.

Agreed, the various origins are also really interesting! Mutating Experimental "Super Soldier" (Gold-Fire), Inter-Dimensional Refugee Mutant (Cerebella), Local Mutant (Turbulance, atleast I assume he's mutant' or Innate magic? O.o) I Inter-Dimensional hyperspeed fun time perma-kid(Sandy) and a normal human gadgeteer(Technosis) Gives us some really cool.
Technosis is really only marginally 'powered' his suit's more bullet protection, (adjustably powered) taser and electrical and super computer maintenance, eventually, he'll probably be a commander with little robot drones, hopefully they make a set that's more healing or support focused.
I'm also highly intrigued by the red and white queen thing, as well as what I think are wonderland references. Terry doesn't trust either of them though XD
He's not entirely sure of his origin. He has extraordinary control over wind but he pushes the physics of air to its limits. Bordering on the magical aspects. His whole family has magic based powered heroes and even a few villains scattered throughout his family tree, like his witch second cousin that taught him his costume change spell. So It's a bit of a mixture. He's the first mutant in his family, but his ancestral magic bleeds into his mutation.
That's awesome! I love mixed origins, I sort of feel like a lot of characters tend to mix match and expand beyond their initial powers. Terry's technically are science that triggered a mutation. An unstable formula for the super soldier process and a mutagenic acceleration ray (Made Charged CFC particle ray.), Terry's still got a lot of growth to go in his powers, so does technosis.
Oh, and just introduced their villain, The Crow....feedback?

Just out of curiosity, would anybody like me to make examples for their characters costumes on Hero Machine? It can be clunky, but after while it get's better. I made a mock up of Dustin (Didn't color it.) and to be frank I love making costumes/character images. (Limitations on physique sadly, Technosis is suposed to be super skinny with fake bullet-resistant muscle-shaped padding under his electro-static suit.

Cerebella's would be very similar to Gold-fire's, but with the main color of light magenta with secondary color of light grey...her elblem would actually be a power girl-like breast window. Her hands and feet would be armored, with the boots heeled, her belt a grey, paramilitary varient. Finally, her hair would be long and light brown, with her eyes glowing the same magenta, removing the need for a mask...
And the Crow is a mastermind, a isolated one at that...he lives and plots in the tower, and when he kills the Wanderers , he'll hang them as decorations outside the Tower, gain noteriety as a villain! ((He thinks anyway ;) ))

Uhoh... Well... I'll allow it? I play by consent, so metagaming can cause issues (I also try to make my characters work as closely scientifically to their concept, and alot of Terry's is... wonky...)
Terry's powers and lack of knowledge of his actual make up makes his energy act funny, since it isn't subject to time, only Terry's will and concentration, if he's extracted from a place while manifesting, his energy echoes behind him in the loop, leaving a glow, and residual. His consciousness is also not tied to his body, but the energy that's bound up in it's atomic structure. It creates super charging, and given the amount of skipping she noted, Terry's body might materialize strangely... He also experiences memory echoes when time travelling, which he'll probably be able to deal with by the time he's back from that...
Or maybe it shouldn't... That's atleast the explanation for why he went wonky before. Also... After uhh... 300 years and 20 minutes, Terry's gonna be super charged from echoing energy signatures of himself, there and in the desert, plus twenty minutes + 300 years, he could feasibly learn to absorb any form of energy... or keep himself from inherently absorbing something (Like the time energy, that would be bad..)
And Moondune, the Crow did not bring anyone, he was alone...in short, you controlled my character, and brought in things like soilders where there were none...I am not trying to be mean at all, but that is called meta gaming, and isn't usually tolerated in RP...

oh you said many feet, so i assumed he wasn't alone.. Do you want me to edit my posts. I will, just trying to enjoy the RP, and didn't mean to step on any toes.
I would like to mention that the same sorta thing needs to be considered as a reason for the time travel/manipulation thing... Minor and precise time control as exampled in City of Heroes with the time manipulation(Increasing cellular timelines and looping them possitively forward, to regenerate, or slowing their perceptual timeline down.) set was cool. Reliving moments in ouroboros too, since it was like stepping into your old shoes.
However, outright moving someone through time several times, and rapidly aging and de-aging them is a massive plot disturbance. As powerful as Terry can be it's frightening the possibilities in the implications of shifting Terry's body around for 300 years, the knowledge, possibility for learning in his case, paired with the instability of his powers makes it kinda dangerous for him, he could explode his atoms by accident and be a floating glob of energy, technically able to remanifest but with no idea how...? X.X I watch a lot of doctor who?
I don't mean to rant or berate either, just worry about the implications, unless I misinterpretted...
I extrapolated on how terry was written to react to something sandy didn't try to do... so i figured if sandy tried to give everything terry asked for the results would be disastrous.
Sandy conjures illusions based on what she remembers... so it would be 9000 years worth of sun light memories... a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG source of energy... and if terrys energy echos, it would resonate with all those years worth of memory illusions. so... way more power than the actual visual appearance of the light of the illusion, it that make any sense.
YAY our characters are 1 mess up away from causing a titan city atomic explosion =P
Sandy went backwards in time 300 years into england.... i random-ed a +/- and got -300. sandys teleport isnt an energy source... its a thought. nothing is generated or destroyed, or even shifted.. it simply is. Her shifting of other peoples time is an energy source. Her own body naturally adjusts to what she wants.
basically i wrote a fake history based on what would happen if the team was defeated and mostly killed... forever scarring the psyche of the survivors. Sandys guilt, terrys anger... festering for years and years while they tried to fix it.
and then i bring the story back... to nothing having happened except giving what was asked for in the only way my character can do it without being all powerful.
I can;t have her go back in time and warn the gang every single time an issue comes up. That is boring., but random small changes to the heroes themselves... +/- a few minutes to allow them the fix errors or get what they ask for/need to overcome an obstacle is how I plan to write her. It puts Sandy where I want her.. as support, and allows battles and tests and growth to happen for everyone.
^----- it took me a week to figure this character out before i rolled her. time Lords are a bit OP. so i had to give her a personality and culture and goals that would keep her manageable as a teammate not a demi god.
so to sum up:
Terry would only feel 20 minutes of shift in himself and some natural sun energy
Sandy wouldnt generate any actual energy
Sandys illusions 'energy' power is directly tied to how many years that memory is repeated... she lives on an endlessly sunny daytime all the time planet. Sunlight would be quite litterally the strongest memory you could ask of her. (Planned before this rp oddly enough)
Sandy at no point will ever "remove the threat" from the team. Instead she gives tools to teammates at circuital moments. Which sometimes gives a glimpse of a future that will never be. (rare, but since terry is 'team lead' i took the opportunity.)
Sandy will follow basically anything thats asked of her to the BEST of her ability. She tries hard to please... which results in things like massive telepathic overload... and huge illusions with to much echo. (Most of that actually added by you all =P )
i have no intent on controlling anyone's character... the sum total of the events is my character buffing your character. ... exactly what a defender does
the only difference is instead of casting a bubble around a character or a mystic healing spell, or leaping in front of a thrown dagger with my bulwark... i shift teammates slightly in time.

young sandy.. the rp sandy.. went back alone 300 years into the past because of the massive sonic attack.
never existed sandy moved Terry to a place where he could get the proper amount of energy that he had originally asked for.... when that happened she disappeared from the timeline since she changed her own past
young sandy came back forward to current time +20 minutes to where terry was.. since that is who she wanted to find.
She noticed terry felt 20 minutes older and corrected it... bringing him back to his actual time +1 second... but having stored the 20 minutes of sun energy.

Not bad wanderer, the only changes are the color of his pants and boots are dark blue, his hair sticks up a bit more, and no emblem on his chest, he should be wearing a vest. Gotta keep in mind that a Fashionista made his costume, so the Jacket is actually velvet, it's all very posh. But good job, I didn't give a ton of detail, cause it's not really in Turbulence nature to care about the fashion aspects of his costume.
Ah, I'll make up a new version later if you both like, like I said, Hero machine has some limitations. You're both quite welcome.
I'm glad you like the psi-aura overlays, the layering and transparency system Hero Machine makes me really hope they give us some awesome control in the CoT costume creator...

no problem, most of the costume is restricted to what i could come up with on CoH ICON. But in my head it keeps developing. Just like his powers.
Yeah, same here. Terry's costume constantly evolved in CoH when I played him, so I'll probably make new mock ups, technosis is liable to make suits for us eventually. (His mother's a tailor, and his fathers an engineer, he likes super tailoring and super-engineering.) Which Reminds me, I need to make up a character profile for Technosis like I did Terry...
So i was thinking about having turbulence get the guys to go to like a junk yard or something to look for furniture / spare tech parts for the base, while they're at the junk yard or whatever, the spot some activity they somehow hints at the Crow and a yet unknown plot detail. I feel like the Crow is scary and cool enough to be the lead antagonist. So i figured he'd probably somehow escape custody. IDK. Not saying the girls can't come, but the post I had in mind would be turbulence trying to get out of cleaning and/or decorating duty.
Haha, sounds like a great idea, Turbulence and Technosis scout for parts, while Cerebella and Sandy begin repairs on the Tower, consult some superarchitects and whatnot, while Gold can do what he feels, maybe gain a list of criminals the Wanderer's can begin tracking?
Oh and if no one minds, I intend for the Crow to be to the Wanderer's as Slade/Deathstroke was to the Teen Titans. He is now horribly scarred despite Sandy's efforts (Not dismissing them mind you) and has a true reason to hate them...
And because of his scarring, and eventual escape...I think a new name would be in order, so he is not instantly recognized by the Authorities or Heroes...suggestions? :)
And I was also thinking of names for the tower as a official base...maybe Citadel?

I like Wandering Tower, especially if Sandy could set up stable temporal anomolies like Technosis suggested. Put it a second out of sync, and only let in use, then dialate the time perception so it seems like more time passes inside. :D I love Doctor Who... By the way...

I don't know how everybody imagined the tower, I want to make it clear, compromise is obviously cool, but I imagined the first floor had a large central room with a balcony around it with metal grating, lots of boxes and junk in it and a bit turning collumn in the center going all the way up to the top of the tower where the clock is. The central room has a large arched double door, (I assume it's facing West?), so on the east side is a back storage room that leads to the basement, which I also imagine would be connected to catacombs for more adventures. The north and south sides are storage rooms as well.
The second level is shorter and has quarters designed for the bell-keeper back when it was a functional clock tower, this area is about as large as the central room below, but broken up into a kitchen, living room, a few closets and a balcony over each side.
Third level is tall and contains several rooms a little smaller than a quarter of the floor below, a hall in the middle, a spiral staircase runs around the spinning column of the clock tower.
Fourth level is the level they're on where they get down from the roof, and where the clock mechanisms are.
The whole tower looks roughly like a very fancy rook.
This is just what I thought it would look like, what do you guys think? Of course the place is littered with junk I bet, from lots of old tenants and the crows activities.
Oh! I even put the silver spiral in Dustin's Eyes :D

Awesome! I love that idea! I think I wanna call him Monitor Lizard (Kind of a play on the cyborg thing...) Skinks or Salamanders for his minions, 'leauts' could be some other analogue. He's the head of a reptilian alien invasion force, so he has a bunch of cyborg lizards at his disposal. His bosses and giant monsters could be technorganic dragons or dinosaurs hahaha...
If that's the base layout we're going with the first floor and basement can be work space and training space, obviously there's the living space and dorm for anybody who lives on base or sleeping there temporarily, and obviously the clock area monitor room.

I put a possible logo for the Wanderers in the Character Example folder, feel free to suggest other designs.
I planned on RPing a turbulence with a large family, I already mentioned he had a lot of magic based supers in his family, so it's an extension. But it is more or less to make it easier for us to attain things in the beginning, calling in family favors. Any thoughts on that? Also, I figure the junk shop would be somewhere in IP, at least that seems the most likely anyway. I would suggest that a family member could help us with a tab at the junk shop but if you guys have another idea. If no objections though I'll just run with it.
infinite sources of money does eliminate several "Growing" rp's that could happen.. Remember folks... we have 2 years of time to kill... no point in having everything (or practically anything) right off the bat. =)

The grants and such are just enough money to maintain their base, pay for school for members who are trying to go (Certain stipulations and GPA requirements, on top of super group duties) The money wouldn't be much, other sources are allowed, as well as procured equipment, I like the idea of taking things from impound, opens them up for disaster from possible objects...
As for Turbulence connections, I'm okay with family playing favors, but using it or any other source of procurement is going to be boring =/ I like the idea of fixing it up. Sandy's doing a big thing by bringing it up to structural newness. Technosis is gonna play with the clock and stuff as well as fit the doors and other stuff with armaments...
Also, who likes the idea of timeskips? XD Not long ones, just so we don't have to RP out the boring stuff like cleaning up all the junk, part of me wants some things to just be left there from the Crow or others. There's also the catacombs, which would be a cool place for friend or foe to come from... Also random stuff from some extra or other dimensional entities leaving junk there.
There could be whole missions under there in the basement and catacombs, secret cow level even.

That's fine, I just feel like currently my character isn't gonna be much use, as I haven't really given him any useful skills. I created him to be; other than his wind powers, a very average joe, who is really clumsy and air-headed. So just trying to figure out where he can contribute. I suppose I could have him venture on his own, if Terry can get some info on where to find... and I can't remember the word Wanderer had been using, but... bad guys, so they at least start earning income. I did plan for his use of his abilities to be his strongest advantage.
Well, contribution comes in a lot of different places, right now, we're just RPing, and to be honest, in combat your character did help, fleshing out a character is always good, but I really don't think you're doing too badly. I worry a little that you're losing interest or having trouble when you post less.
I'm a terrible example because I'm terribly RP starved. I think I've been posting a bit over zealously at times. I'd love to see us all run around and do whatever we feel solo, work back around to our own story, maybe meet eachother in crossing between individual adventures too.
I think that Technosis and Turbulence should run off to the junkyard like they planned, could run into a bit of trouble while Gold-Fire and Cerebella handle the construction and stuff, which is liable to eat up a lot of their current grant money? They mostly just have to reinforce and install security, Technosis should design a securuity system, since it's cheaper. i love rogue AI scenarios.... Turbulence' powers would be really useful against that o.o invisible to detection!
Which reminds me of an angle your character does have pretty good, that you may forget, you're a good stealthy character, creatively debuffing people with air, wind and other extensions could be epic.
moon i like what your character is doing. he has a powerset that makes up for major weaknesses in the team so far.
Lead is a semi superlump style, glad and I both teleoprt. No one else flies. Your character has an unparalleled control of the skies.
From what I can tell
Glads characters weakness is something exceptionally strong with no mind to attack
Gold-fires weakness would be anything with absorption powers
Technosis would be anything that can interrupt his equipment
Turbulence is currently his own weakness, he simply doesn't have full control yet, which I like
Ive written Sandy as on paper as being able to grow into the most powerful being in this dimension.... but not during the lifetime of the game. She will almost never grow in power scale, only in learning application, which will still be much slower than any of my human characters. Sandys biggest weakness is her inability to adapt to this dimension. Thats what keeps her as a buff/support. She has no actual offensive skills (that she is willing to use.)
interestingly enough our team actually lacks proper melee characters with physical abilities. The teams major weakness is a villain designed after characters like The Hulk. A villain that can smash metals, root itself agaisnt winds, pummel its way through forcefields, doesn't have enough of a mind to affect, and regenerates itself back to peak condition.
Where was I going with all this again... oh yeah... Each character will have little mini stories with each other, things that show personality and what makes them shine. I had to write Sandy over the top since she never showed up to technically join a supergroup... she just kind of never left.

thanks guys, it's not so much losing interest. I love every one of our characters. Each has something that interests me. The problem is that I haven't seen a rule book of the do's and don'ts for RPing. So I am not sure what and where I am allowed to take it. Like with the minions, I still need to edit those posts. I don't want to start pulling it one direction only to realize I am not suppose to do that. Though that is why I post in this thread to ask before throwing a wrench in everything. Also, has anybody thought about the timeline. By my calculations it should be late evening by now. I mean we met at 3ish, and with travel time, and the fight and now a couple hours that they've been cleaning, according to one of Glad's posts, it should at least be 7ish, if not later.
Edit: Also, Glad, your last post said 'the rest of the day' then you ask Technosis a question. Why haven't Turbulence and Tech left yet? I'm wondering about how to write/RP time frames. A couple of times I almost put 'a couple hours later' or something similar, but then changed my mind because I wasn't sure about the implementations, of forcefully trying to push everyone forward. RPing is tricky in my head. (I like it though, just tricky.)
It would be 7ish, and I apologize for my post being vague or open ended, and trust me, you are doing absolutely fantastic if this is some of your first attempts at RPing, and my post would be a sort of throughout the day thing, while everyone else is doing their business, didn't mean to confuse anyone, but also wanted to illustrate that Cerebella isn't just standing around...

yes, my very first, though I did try rping on a different site, but it was set up quite differently, can't figure how to explain it.
BTW, I brought up an unknown object in the box and didn't describe it, so if we want to it could be used at a later time. Whether it's a magical artifact, or some gadget. But if anyone wants to use it they can. I like things like that in books, an object or person that you originally think is insignificant but later become very important.
So at first I was thinking Boris was a anthropomorphic super, but with Steamtank introducing him as a robot, what if the owner was lying. I think turbulence and technosis are in the wrong junk yard, especially since they're dressed as heroes.
I am inclined to agree, that said, this trip to the junk yard is free! Provided we can take out the robots and their mastermind.

He has been in a few rp's... he has no drive to fight anything, all he wants to do is fix things and make toys for kids... but Boris wasn't living... and attacked him, so he simply disassembled it and went about his day.

OH! Turbulence and Technosis should do a team attack combo! Lightning Tornado! Technosis can explain it ICly, but with Powersave mode, plus him spinning fast enough, he could make enough electricity to beat them :D

I've been trying for awhile now to think of it, but how could we possibly increase Sandy's awareness of this time? The moment the wanderers are living in, I was curious as well, do you think Terry would be capable of absorbing the temporal energy she uses? I don't intend the character to be all powerful, and given her wonkiness, I don't expect him to be able to control it, atleast not till he unlocks his energy form.
That said, given Terry's latent absorbing ability, she might be more aware of him because his body's stored some temporal energy, since he doesn't know how to use it it instinctively keeps him from using it... Ooooh which leads to an interesting idea, if he can absorb it and can't use it or expend it without trying or being in his energy form, it would make his energy reserves drop...
Sorry, half thinking out loud, half delving for ideas for character interaction and drama... Terry's powers have a lot of quirks because of how they work, to balance out his possibly absurd power.
I still don't see Gold's post Wnaderer, sorry :(
