I have come to ask of a tremendous favor, one that is not short of the coin promised, but if you could possible squeeze in a Bard's tote with a special animation for spreading merry and cheer to any evil minions around, possible to entrance their thought, and sway them (if even for a minute or two) to the side of Fansy footwork?

I would love to see a flute, bagpipe or gesture that pays homage to those who rooted evil in the past. If that's not being too picky, that is.

A proper Telekinesis set, not

A proper Telekinesis set, not gravity control, not psychic blades. Something like DCUO, they did it perfectly. Not only was it user friendly, it was powerful in feeling and just plain fun.

One button would pick up nearby physics objects and throw them, fun and easy. Knockbacks, telekinetic cages etc. We need the correct powers in this set and ease of use when lifting and throwing.

I personally think that if a power is going to have a complicated gimmick it should only be applied to the base, while things like damage types or side effects should be put in themes. If I'm right this would mean that it would be easier to make bases or themes. If I'm wrong ignore that because apparently I'm just being stupid. At any rate here are some ideas for more unique themes.

Elemental: assuming we're using the 9 powers per set mechanic, the first and fifth powers would deal fire damage and fire DoT, the second and sixth powers would deal cold damage and slow the target. the third and seventh powers would deal electricity damage and would drain endurance, the fourth and eighth powers dealing smashing with a chance of stunning the target and the 9th power dealing fire/cold/elec/smash damage and would have all the side effects of the previous elements.

Ballistics: Any melee attacks deal smashing damage and have a chance to stun, any single target attacks deal lethal damage and any aoe attacks deal dire damage and fire DoT. For the guy that wants to be like Rambo.

as for animations I would like to see, I would like a melee option for rifles and pistols, things like hitting the target with the butt of your gun and pistol whipping him/her. Maybe add some animations that look like I'm stabbing my target with a bayonet and add in some gun models with bayonets on them.

Element - common soft control inherent: Electric Drains, Ice Slows, Status Effects In General.
Animation - how fast cast time occurs: A Quick Punch, A Slow Buildup, Activation Times (if any).

Along those lines, I think it would be cool to have an available animation for sniper powers to have the character kneel or lie down to get into a stable base.

Animation is planed to be purely cosmetic, animation times would be standardized so whether to are shooting a beam from your eyes, your hand, or a gun it would take the same time.

I think damage type is supposed to be attached to themes, which is what elements are supposed to be called, though I could be mistaken...

I'd like to see a power set

I'd like to see a power set based around creating temporary objects (pets). Thematically this could be extremely flexible; a sci-fi character that makes objects out of solid light or controls matter, a wizard that summons magic objects/creatures/golems/spirits/etc..., earth powers, ice powers, plant powers, force field powers, telekinesis, etc...

The base powers would have a common theme in that they create targetable, destructible objects (pets). This is somewhere in between summoning a pet and using a maintained power. Some possibilities:

1) A mobile attack power. The power has to be maintained by the summoner to keep it active and the pet is essentially tethered to the summoner. This is your power ring creating a solid light construct or your earth controller creating an animated stone golem, etc... The pet has a movement speed, it's destructible and it attracts aggro. To keep this rooted as a power, it has a single damage type, it could cost endurance while active and/or the caster could receive damage as feedback when it's damaged. I'm thinking it could have a higher "summon" cost and a lower maintain cost to keep it active.

2) A hold type power (plant vines, ice cage, force field, etc...). It's destructible and draws aggro. Optionally, it could also be a maintained power that continues to do damage and/or refreshes the strength of the hold as long as the caster maintains it.

Just another thought for my previous post on a power set that includes creating temporary objects. The health meter or hit points for the object could be tied directly to the casters endurance bar. Any damage done to the power object reduces the caster's endurance.

When I think of powers I want

When I think of powers I want its based on what I want to do and what I want it to look like doing it. Sounds like you have the animation options to get the look doing it.

Things that COH did not have that I wanted. Light based energy attacks. From what I have read so far it sounds like that is SFX to you.
Also the ability to choose where my powers originate from Eyes, Hands chest etc like CO does. Changing the origin point allows me to call any power set eye blast powers.

As far as a light based power set besides the obvious Laser like energy blasts.
A Dazzle confuse effect where you overwhelm the targets senses. Or a stun/ momentary pause like after the MIB flashy thing. Champions terms a Flash attack.
Light or Laser blast that draws an AOE line instead of the typical cone more like a wider beam to simulate an AOE line attack.
Hard Light blasts that do smashing damage instead of energy/KB? Hard light could even be a defensive set.
Light glow if darkness is going to be a thing in game.

Light based powers might also have optical illusions like D&D mirror images as a defensive power (avoidance).

Absorbsion was also another area not covered in COH. Having power absorbing characters who refresh energy reserves or temp do more damage from absorbed energy.
Bishop, Dazzler to name a pair.

While it sounds like you already have the framework and I would need to select my way through it to get the correct power simulation I wanted to say few things about style and visual appearance. Maybe sneak in an idea you might like.

Because while I think your asking for power idea's I think your also asking how do you want these to play. Having the right feel is criitcal.

COH:
I loved how most of the powers worked. Loved the way the action played. CO while potential active becomes boring and DCUO becomes CTS inducing with all the clicking combo's. Cannot stand the blocking mechanic in either.
Recharge made it so you needed a lot of powers. Once you got some levels you could choose a specific attack for what it did as well as a damage chain fill.
Need that -Resistance or KB attack to keep them off balance etc.

Alright, now that I know what power sets are going to be like, I'd like to suggest that lethal and smashing damage be combined into one damage the same way fire and toxic damage did with burning. Like physical damage.

I would love to see trick arrows & some "regular arrows". It would be real cool if there was a secondary melee that could linked with it. like using the bow or an arrow as a hand weapon to strike with.The "Arrow" is a good example of the fighting style I am thinking of.

Theme: cosmic damage (-damage/-energy maybe?) with some knock (down) effect powers

Energy Skating
Base: ground travel power
Theme: travel
Animation: a skater motion just barely off the ground with a buffer of energy between feet and ground, or a sort of ground dash (like a gundam launch http://youtu.be/9MgDN1u4_ro) with sparks trailing after feet that slide across the ground.

Mystic Weaponry
Base: multi-range(blast) dps
Theme: slashing damage +random (or various) secondary effects
Animation: "summoned" weapons of various types (floating blades, axes, ballistas, etc) attack enemies of their own accord (character issues commands or seems to make "magicky" hand motions)

Density Mastery
Base: Defense/Buff
Theme: Resist physical (increase physical damage buffs possible) or Resist non-physical (increase non-physical damage buffs possible) abilities (must switch between)
Animation: depending on toggle, either become semi-transparent, or semi-metalic(shiny) depending on toggles
(this one's a little complex, but I sort of see it as a defensive set that demands management of its toggle-armors depending on the situation.... with different toggles making different self buffs available or more effective.)

Reflection
Base: ranged d/buff
Theme: "reflects" the effects of attacks back on the target (AOE toggle that improves team damage when affected targets attack, for example)
Animation: "loop-like" effects... something like a solar flare(http://youtu.be/HFT7ATLQQx8) that flows out from targets a short distance and doubles back on them in oblong loops

Massive Energy Gauntlets
Base: mid-ranged melee dps
Theme: chance to knock up/down
Animation: oversized (massively so) constructs form on the fist and forearm of the character as s/he performs pummel/smash style attacks.

and just as an animation type for all sorts of "blade" sets..... i really hope we can have fiery, icy, darky, rady, energy-y, electricy, lighty,cosmicy versions of an ethereal blade like the Soul reaver (https://lickthestranger.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/ws_soul_reaver_2_1600x1200.jpg)

If we're going with the

If we're going with the 'Fixed AT/power list' model, I'd love to see a sort of 'ninja' set, based on a combination of martial arts (either blades of weaponless) and short-range weaponry: whips (yoinks/KD), stars/throwing knives...basically a melee+utility Catwoman sort of set.

Also: Staves, Heavy weapons, maybe an Operator pet set based around Psi powers? Dream Manipulation, something like that. Shorter-lived, single-target pets, or something.

I am not an altoholic! I can stop whenever I want. No, really...

I always thought tanks and

I always thought tanks and scrappers had the advantage due to mezz protection in the defenses. If all characters had access to better defenses then they would have a better chance of soloing. I really liked the combat effects and animation looks of Assault rifle, Traps defense set, Street Justice and Shield—perhaps a discipline called ultimate fighting where one could build a martial artist, streetfighter, weapon master etc. If defenses remain limited to certain arch types perhaps down the road future issues/spirals/expansions might include some form of IO tweaking.

What I would like to see as

What I would like to see as far as masterminds go:
Setting a base: Pets of course.
Theme: This is where things get sticky. Say I want melee pets with a focus on control over damage. Where would this logically limit the appearance of the pets? Pets are complicated on the whole to begin with, never mind with the possibility for two completely different looking pet players having the same effect. One player has a team of psychics that wrap enemies in telekinetic cages, the other has a team of wolves that tackle enemies and hold them down through weight and jaw strength. Functionally, the only difference is that one set of pets has range (telekinesis) and the other is melee (wolves). The problem arises from the VAST difference in pet model as well as animations used, without even going into the potential for various skins on the pet models. (Wolves made of fire/ice/stone/shadow/electricity/water)

The basic concept simply doesn't encompass the vast amount of potential variation inherent in a pet class that isn't inhibited by shackling effect to appearance. While I LOVE the idea, the end result is going to be murderous on the developers.

The irony, of course, is that a 'controlling pets' concept under the open ideas this new team offers would be rather simple to do via alternative animations on a control base.
Base: Control
Theme: Restraint and interference.
Animations: Various animals are summoned to interfere with your enemies by attacking them and holding them in place until they are thrown off or otherwise distracting the target. A hold could be a wolf or dog pinning the target down, an AoE hold from a massive ball of constrictors spreading out from the player. A fear effect as a swarm of rats or other verminous small animal all climb over a single target. Single target knock back via a charging rhinoceros. If all of these were viable animations...

I would love to see mind control get a revised look it was a decent power set but always felt in COH that total domination and mass confusion were weak in crowd control and would always either miss or not hold the group for very long

So yeah ... Nerf Bat With Iron Core ... just to make sure that the hits delivered would be crippling.

I always judge a game by its supplemental systems. Straight Forward, DPS and resistance is simple, and most games don't fail here. Crowd Control, Debuffs, Pets, Energy Maintenance, Shielding, Movement Speed, Threat and Stealth are where games are both made and broken.

If were going to be different from coh then i suggest the basics of 4 littles 2 mediums and 1 big.
Two smaller for each of the upper tiers. if there is a gang war version then make it 8 tinys.
As for a powerset I want Amazons with gleaming shiny armor and weapons.

what about finally getting a shrink/grow set?
we've seen in champions that the basic concept (a toggle-able size adjustment power) is viable, mechanically...

i'd see it as a defense set, with two toggles, one that increases your ability to dodge attacks, and one that increases your ability to resist attacks

the way I'd set it up, is that if you run both toggles, you stay the same size, but only 50% of the possible bonus (whatever that is determined to be) of each..... using one or the other gives you a significant defensive weapon but at a cost.
with shrink active alone, your resistance to holds (by which i mean 'hold powers') and knocks is lowered significantly
with grow activated alone, the endurance cost of your powers increases while your resistance to secondary mez effects (confuse, stun, etc) is lowered significantly.
(or something along these lines... im not great at disadvantages)

the question is.... why bother using one toggle or the other, then?
and therein lies the rest of the set.... different clickable powers that have greater/lesser or different strenths or features depending on whether you're small or large.

so, i see a shrink/grow character running around with both toggles on until they get into a decient fight, then they drop one toggle, and fire off buffing defense powers while working through their attack chains.

thematically, i envision the grow-themed abilities would relate to protection of self and others (self heals, absorbing damage for allies, mez protection) while shrink-themed powers would be about speed (like reflexes 'quickness') and secondary effect enhancement

With regards to the grow/shrink set...you could also look at it like the Kheld form...the Shrink is the DPS/Blast Nova form...the Grow is the Tank Dwarf form...the concept would remain similiar, though it would be a common power set across all three. The Shrink may increase DPS and Evades (becoming a bit more glass cannon); while the Grow increases HP, Heals and Resists (becoming more tanky). Running both, normalizes all those factors.

Yes, possibly.... but being a defense set, i'd be worried about making it too damage/v/attack (such things will already be greatly effected by the class you choose... and I dont want it to end up that "no respectable tank ever shrinks!" or see a thousand "shrink-scrappers" running around.....) things the character needs/wants should be in both halves, so you are destined to bounce back and forth, regardless of your "team role"

but otherwise, yes... the basic idea of the keldians works, but definitely within a single power set

Well I have a fear of insects and dogs, yet I'm not saying that Rottweiler shouldn't exist because of that. listen I know how it feels to have a phobia, I feel scared when I have to go outside in the summer or spring, but you have to understand that the world isn't going to change simply because your afraid of it or even should change. There are other people in this world who like things that other people are afraid of, and they shouldn't have to change that because of you.

That being said I want a "I drink this beaker full of chemicals" animation for self buffs/heals and self damage mitigation powers as well.

I have a fear of scarring

I have a fear of scarring around the eyes... but i guess that is because I almost lost my eye when I was about 8.

Since then, I cannot even wear face paint around the eyes, because seeing the paintbrush go near my eye starts it streaming, and I start to panic.

Doesn't mean that I want all facial art to be removed from the game...

I think a metal based power would be great. For a melee character it could be used for defense and for very precise attacks. For ranged it could be used any variety of snares, holds, crowd control, and straight up damage.

Gonna throw my support behind "Remote Control".. which is LIKE mind control but with particle damage. The ideal "look" of this set is like any antennae senging out a signal and enemies being on the receiving end.

Controlling a Brain (or any central processing unit) and controlling a mind are very different things to me. One being metaphysical (which my character does not have as a human and has no faith in as a scientist) and the other being quite physical.

For those of you who don't love neuroscience like I do check out "Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation" .. MAGNETS CAN CONTROL YOUR BRAIN!!! I know the game lore will include a plethora of metaphysics and magic and I look forward to engaging them FOR SCIENCE!

Also I want to be able to throw my melee weapon at the bad and then get out another one like the enemies in the roman themed zone did with their spears. Base: Ranged single target damage
Theme: Fast successive mobile attacks with high accuracy/crit but low(er) base damage
Animation: Throwing knives, bows, crossbows, guns, dual pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Using weapons with a flair (think of Hail of Bullets from Dual Pistols or things that Hawkeye/Green Arrow would do acrobatically while firing arrows, i.e. shooting arrows mid-somersault)

I really liked the Absorb

I really liked the Absorb mechanic they were just introducing in CoH. It'd be a good Base. Some themes would be: biological (Swamp Thing!), wormholes transporting attacks somewhere else, really heavy metal armor that gets busted up as you get injured, and something that I always really wanted, energy armor that is solid and adheres closely to the player model. Difficult to pull off, I know, but it would look so cool. It's why I loved Crash Dummies as a kid... they come apart. The animations would likely be part and parcel of some of those. Palette swap or something, I dunno.

Also, I miss Dual Pistols and would love that to be an option for the Blast base.

i would love to see a power set that changes the 'rules' of the field.
the changes effect both allies and enemies, making placement and recasting important.

cast speed +/- zones
damage +/- zones
crit +/- zones
movement speed +/- zones
resistance +/- zones

nothing cast on players... everything is placed as an aoe beacon (think triage beacon)
this makes placement in combat important. knocking an enemy back into a debuff zone is awesome... knocking them into a recently cast resistance zone not so awesome.

sort of like the sigils concepts in other games (sigils in Champs, shaman totems in WoW)????

Personally I LOVE those mechanics... would be great as a defender/corruptor set, or this game's version of "traps" (which never felt like traps, in COX, imo)

That said, they should have a different mechanic, then the "destroyable object" mechanic they usually have.
Perhaps something along the lines of a trade off? get a benefit target aoe, but take a hit somewhere else, personally?

I guess I just always feel a bit cheated by a whole game mechanic that relies on nothing bad happening (all too often, these destructable objects have like 1 hit point... so they only have a value when they're barely necessary or you're acting like a chump.)

But it would be awesome to establish a "killing field" of layered buffs or debuffs, then draw enemies into it, and decimate them. (either as a melee(or ranged) / (d)buffer or as a support/ranged character)

Bartitsu melee set. Victorian era cane fighting for use against hoodlums and muggers in the back streets of London (1899-1902). Apparently, there's something of a revival going on for this fighting style, and even if it isn't possible to do all the holds and locks used by the art of Bartitsu, there still ought to be plenty of reference material for cane fighting, boxing and kicks to go with the art. Should make for a rather authentic Steampunk Martial Arts character build at least.

Martial Defense:

Martial Defense:
A set of low graphics powers that act as stance toggles that change the behavior of default stances, click powers that temporarily increase hit, defense or dodge, Psychic and other defenses later based on martial arts openning chakras, therefore empowering your Chi or Ki.(Passive increases endurance by a small ammount as well.)

Energy Absorbing defense:

A defensive set that gains effects based on damage taken from energy sources, inherently gives resistance with passives and toggles grant endurance boost based on damage absorbing rate(Functionally damage reduction), degausing power that functions like a nuke, releasing effects based on absorbed energies. Click power that temporarily allows psychic absorbtion, top tier that put character into hyper active state, boosting damage and effectively making endurance negligible with a huge crash.

Variable Traps and gadgets:
Something like how dual pistols had toggles for different rounds this set changes the effects of mines, control techniques and other gadgets based on toggles, however I don't want it to function like a level up, I love the idea of actually crafting your gadgets like tony stark or Gear from Static shock, I enjoy the possibility of prototype gadgets failing or backfiring... I'm weird.

Any and all powersets, across all kinds of roles and classes. I loved all the ones in City of Heroes because they were so numerous and varied. First I would like to see the basics in place: Super strength, Invulnerability, Super Reflexes, Empathy, Force Fields, Martial Arts, and all four classical elements of earth fire water wind. There you go. Then the stranger ones can come in such as gravity and sonic, Energy(Light) and Negative Energy (Darkness), knives and swords, underling robots or gunmen, stuff like that.

Really there are hundreds to choose and just as many that would fit snugly into a superhero mmo. The devs will never be bored or out of ideas, they will have a giant bulletin board of power sets to work on. Even if they start out with only a few they could work on pumping out a new one every few months and most everyone would be happy.

Every villain is a hero in their own mind.

Some powers could be:

Bite
base:melee/debuff(draining of blood)/stalker
theme:pierce/drain
animations: The super hero/villian(appearing out of nowhere from invisbility stalker style or turning from a bat) and sinking teeth into neck

base:AoE/stun/melee?/untanigable
theme:drain/stun/debuff/Hp gain/ can't be targeted
animation:sinking into the ground and leeching hp from enemy via feet(vladmir from League of Legends), lasts over a period of time

Well one idea I always though

Well one idea I always thought would have been cool for the original City to add but as far as i know was not present (unless if it was available at higher levels and I am just unaware of it) was to have customizable minions for the Master Mind class. Now i don't know to what extent minions would be present in the game or if there would be a sort of possible Master Mind replacement but think of it, having a more limited character creator pacifically designed for your minions of the power set you choose. For example maybe you want to summon Zombies so you choose that power set but lets say the idea behind your character is that he resurrects fallen superheroes to fight for him, then maybe in the minion editor you can give the Zombies some torn up super hero costumes and the like.

Firstly, can I say that I would love to see different choices for power animation – some like flashy anime, others with KIRBY DOTS (please, please have Kirby dots) and then some that are classic mmo-energy beam styles up to this point. Something like that.

Powersets that would be great components of the game:

Energy based powersets, both light and dark, and for more than one archtype:
-Ranged is an obvious choice. Beams. Lots of beams. Blasts. Explosions for aoe’s etc.
-Tanks and dps characters could use this power as well – they could be redirecting the enegy through their bodies for energy based melee sets… there could also be crowd control, buff/debuff and summoning.
- All this could be done with dark energy as well (dark matter, etc…).

Telekinesis – a new and innovative approach would be great to see:
-Being able to pick enemies up and toss them around, both individually and with multiple enemies simultaneously.
-Being able to interact with environment items in order to lift them and toss them at enemies – or maybe in some cases pull stone and steel straight out of the floor/ground to hurl at enemies.
It would just be nice to see this powerset really get a cool revamp, the choices with graphics and animations included.

It would be cool to see teleporting as a powerset, not just a travel power:
-The attacks could be teleporting based, each ending with an attack – some behind the enemy, others to hit him with momentum like a wrecking ball, another to drop him from slightly higher in the sky, etc…

Again however, being able to choose between different graphics/animations for the powers would be amazing to see. And it would really help differentiate between the different players in the game so even if they are teaming with a person of the same powerset, they still seem different and individualized.

I am also a major supporter

I am also a major supporter of being able to mix and match the powers you choose in a free form fashion - not being stuck with one themed powerset. Being able to build an individual power pool for your toon using an assortment of all available powers, corresponding to their appropriate levels of course.

Reason: sometimes we get an idea for a unique powerset for a character, and with this feature we can scramble together a mesh of different types of powers in order to simulate the desired powerset. This would be especially useful in RP types of situations.

Id like undead of any sort

Id like undead of any sort for a minion build.

In a perfect world i'd have the character creator available to minion users and all or most costume sets in there and let me make my minions myself. This way it fills the undead role, ally user role, robot user role, and mind controller with no extra work on the art department.

Then allow the use of most NPC foes as choices in there as far as non humanoid pets( for instance plants, animals, big or non humanoid robots ect), also some color/texture or aura options here as well as a catchall for other minion users.

Done this way the art team does little other work since all choices here are recycled from elsewhere (either the character creator or NPC pool) the only extra would be color opacity and aura options for the NPC models.

On the subject of power sets... What about a Rune based set with several branches to the power tree. The user/character would draw the rune in the air and send it to its targeted location. could be a great buff/debuff support branch of the power set with heals and endurance stats and endurance drains and holds. Another branch to the tree could be runes of war with knock backs, fire, heavy Damage Over Time. Runes could be drawn then sent to location on the ground to use as slows/holds/blinds etc. A rune "tank" could draw runes of power, "taunt", double HP or what have you. Rune power sets could be very appealing to watch visually and could span several hero/villain archetypes.

Chain based powers set with

Chain based powers set with pulls or slides would be amazing.

Storm/hurricane was a favorite in CoX, dynamic movement and skill usage of hurricane and force field was fun.

Lightening that comes DOWN to fork between enemies.

Melee powers that trample or pass through enemies like whirlwind (d2/path) would be a very nice addition.

If I'm understanding you correctly, and we'd go with this format...in character creation, after we chose archetypes and such to get to powers...we'd choose a base first, say I wanted super strength, but my character is a fishman with shocking eel powers, I,d choose melee (I never really played SS so I can't be more accurate there), and then as a theme I'd go for electrical junk, and then for animation I'd go for some head bashing and curb stomping?

That'd make for a ridiculous amount of choices in creating and customizing powers. :P

It'll probably be closer to this. Base means how the power is built such as being single attack focused or AoE focused. Theme is what kind of damage as well as a side effect each has like dealing damage over time or each power leaving a defense debuff on the target and animation is simply something cosmetic and everything from making making your burning attacks look electrical to making the fighting be based around curb stomping and head butts would fall under that. The kickstarter update I gave you also says that they probably won't let you pick a base apart from a theme, but that we should probably still suggest it in the base/theme/animation format to make it easier on the people designing the powers. the plan however is still to keep animation separate from powers.

I would like an assault

I would like an assault powerset where the ranged attacks deal burning damage and the melee attacks deal physical damage. Same thing with a manipulation set only with the control powers dealing burning damage and the melee doing physical damage. Also assault and manipulation powersets that are the same thing but with the ranged and control attacks doing cold damage. that would be neat.

I was a little bored at work

I was a little bored at work and thought about what I would like to see as support sets, especially with the Bodyguard in mind. And then it got out of hand...:

Inspiration
Tier 1: Enduring Spirit, PB-AoE resistance buff
Tier 2: Mark, makes a single target more vulnerable to damage
Tier 3: Inspiring, a passive skill that heals close allies for a small amount when using a defensive inspiration skill
Tier 3 (Bodyguard): Intimidating, a passive skill that adds a chance to lower enemy accuracy to your attacks
Tier 4: Rally, a minor AoE heal and regeneration buff
Tier 5: Invoke Fokus, a PB-AoE accuracy buff (possibly with a chance to crit bonus?)
Tier 6: Inspire Will, a PB-AoE mez/ psi resistance buff
Tier 7: Intimidate, a PB-AoE damage and speed debuff
Tier 8: Victory Spirit a PB-AoE damage and speed buff, may provide a small heal for every defeated foe.

I imagine animations like warcrys, chants, blowing a horn or using an other instrument (trumpet, military drum or even an electric guitar), blessing (just with a gesture or by reading from a book, using a holy/ unholy icon), beast howls, waving a banner, auras, using a tactical display or even summoning holy/ unholy light or spirits that inspire the team.
