Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Prosthetic limbs. Not just like crazy cybernetic limbs and robot arms and such just like regular modern day prosthetic limbs.

The game is going to have a wide array of accessibility options and the tag line is something like "Make anyone", so it'd only be fitting for such things to be available.

Especially,of course,The ZipGrip:

You're in luck, PH. Anthem literally has a cybernetic arm, and one of the armor pieces they've shown us is an armored, mechanical arm that's separate from Anthem's design. I would be shocked and astonished if they were the only cybernetics styles, too.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".

I wouldn't be. CoX had robot arms but nothing that looked much like actual prosthetics, same with Champions Online.

Edit: I suppose with how the avatar builder is set up you could likely have one arm/hand that is a plastic-y texture so it'd look like a prosthetic.

+1 for this. Though kinda hard to believe in a world with Stark analogs. Maybe it's to speak to your toon's wealth

Possibly. Though I doubt they'd be giving out military grade weaponized prosthetics to anyone who needed them. But I suppose it depends what a player does with their character.

Another thought (more for the animation suggestions) is having animation sets that intentionally only use one arm. But depending on how the power aesthetics are done this might be possible from the get-go

Edit: also remember that in a universe with super tech and magic Barbara Gordon was paralyzed and confined to a (correct me if I'm wrong) normal wheelchair.

Wasn't part of that "Look! A hero who is confined to a wheelchair!"

Sadly, I loved Cassandra Cain, but I don't mind Barbara being back as Batgirl. Hated how they brought her back, but didn't mind her returning to the role.

However, I think even in such settings you have to have magic healing limited to what it can do. Even mutant/non-magical power healing, it should be limited in how much it can heal, because of that specifically.

Now my mains a big time regenerater, however, even I may say some attack is harder to heal (for my main it's the eyes) or types of attacks may be harder to heal from (special magic attacks perhaps...like aggravated damage from white wolf system) just for some injured RPs, and besides, who doesn't love RPing a blind hero from time to time?

If we have instant heals on all, that doesn't happen. We also don't know if it would work for Barbara. Could've said the cybernetics didn't take perhaps. Maybe not have left her in such a place as long as they did? That I can understand.

You'd think like Zatana would have been able to fix her up with a quick "Arabrab laeh!" But maybe it was like Aunt May's incurable (except by deal with the devil) gunshot wound.

I guess it might get a bit Deus Ex Machina, even for comics, if every injury or death is reversed immediately.

I would like a blend of medieval armors and high tech. Maybe just a few accessories. BUT the armor is self should come piecemeal so we can mix and match and no two suits of armor are the same.

It's the same with swords. multiple blades, hilts, an assortment of energy types...no two swords should look the same.

COH never quite got there, ACCESSORIZE! We don't need people who look like their outfits/props came from a catalog.

Thank you. Rant over.

I definitely hope CoT can do better than what were largely color differences. I think awhile back I suggested a system to add elements to a weapon, rather than color a prebuilt one.

We need a fishnet leotard/bathing suit/chest piece!

Obviously, Hinata comes to mind first, but a bikini top and bottom connected with fishnet/mesh.

Honestly, while some of the posing is rather, suggestive, I see nothing wrong or inappropriate with the outfit itself. Fairly certain* CoX had options that were just as, or even more revealing.

I posted the Naruto one, because the bathing suit has the fishnet/mesh on the side. I thought that was obvious, and seriously, that's Sakimichan.

You might be focusing too much on the hentai part. It was a joke, of course it's not hentai.

That said, I think there are plenty other images that can show a similar costume concept that are more appropriate for this forum.

I do not see the joke in your comments. In fact your quotes seem to indicate that you were being serious. There was no "lol" or winky-face-emoji or anything else to indicate that you were joking. People cannot and will not read your mind. You need to be explicit in your intent as all that can be referenced are the words in the post. This just looks like you are trying walk-back your comments to make it less controversial without actually changing your stance.

We are allowed to express opinions and say what we think.

I think if people want to post images of example costumes, they should make the effort to make them as non-controversial as possible if they want their point to be made (and not a discussion about tangential topics that will taint the original intent). Essentially, if the image is very busy or has a compositional element that does not pertain to the suggestion at hand, crop that part out. Make the discussion about the suggestion and not what the original image may or may not be targeted for.

I do often forget that sarcasm and subtlety is harder to understand in text where there is no tone of voice.

There is no back-pedaling there my friend. I am able to realize a mistake on my part and this wasn't one. My original comment was made as a joke, I'm well aware that these images are not hentai, and as I said, IN MY OPINION, these pictures are slightly inappropriate.

That's it, that's all.

If the community is ok with this kind of pictures, that's fair enough.

I hate to say this but until

I hate to say this but until VERY recently sexualization in comics has been endemic (epidemic?). Given that the industry has been a male dominated industry for more decades than I've been alive, it is going to take as long to change as it has been around for (humans being notorious for resisting change) and our patience needs be saintly in this regard.

I'm sorry you thought the pictures were over the top Fils du Nord but it won't be the last that you may see. And the conversations that we have had on this and other related subjects are infamous (avoids glancing at certain forum posters). But we can at least DISCUSS hopefully without devolving into embarrassing caricatures of ourselves.

We all have personal limits, but by the same token, we have to willing to accept that they are only our limits and not necessarily applicable to others.

The pictures were only meant

The pictures were only meant to show some of the styes of the mesh I was talking about and ideas of what to do with it.

Seeing as how in CoH there were those who ran around in just a bikini, I didn't feel any of these were out of line.

1) Mesh shirt with a separate top, and the mesh has a bit with it.

2) Mesh shirt with a separate top, and the mesh is pure mesh, no added fabric with it. Now that's a swimsuit, but one could increase (or leave the same) on the neck line and add sleeves for the look. Maybe even have mesh sleeves or underside of the sleeves be mesh.

3) Mesh shirt were the bikini aspect is part of the mesh, not separate.

4) Swimsuit, but could work with a leotard look, where the mesh is on the side. One could increase (or leave the same) on the neck line and add sleeves for the look. Maybe even have mesh sleeves or underside of the sleeves be mesh.

To address the decency in

To address the decency in gaming/comics discussion. This is potentially a good discussion but it's also off topic here. This thread is for suggestions. You've expressed your opinions on the suggestion. Additional discussion should move to another thread.

Referencing the first three Hinata (I'm a fan) images. I think those are already feasible if not probable using what we already know about the character creator. What I see are 3 distinct items layered on top of each other. Item one is the fishnets. That should be a pretty easy ask either as a distinct item or a "skin/tights" layer. I think we probably need A LOT of different patterns to satisfy all sorts of looks. I think that might help accomplish the look in image 4 with the swimsuit with fishnet cutouts. The second item is the tank top/bandeau/bikini. Again pretty easy to recreate and stack over the fishnets. Finally, we have the hoodie. This is probably the most difficult piece as it's both fluid and static, and much heavier than a cape so it wont flow in the same way. I think it's doable. How good it looks will be up to the skill of the devs.

There are a few other pieces in there which I think have been suggested before.

That's it, that's all.

If the community is ok with this kind of pictures, that's fair enough.

Make the discussion about the suggestion and not what the original image may or may not be targeted for.

I've never bothered to specifically suggest/dictate any kind of "rules" for this thread as far what kind of pics are acceptable to link here given that for the most part I assume that at least 99% or more of the people who post/read this thread are likely to be adults to begin with.

That said the main guidelines I've tried to live by here are that I don't post anything with overt "full-frontal" nudity (no fully exposed female breasts and/or crotchal regions of any flavor) or things that would likely be effectively/questionably offensive and/or gratuitous (swastikas, extreme bloody gore, actual Hentai, etc.) Basically anything that would likely get you mod-smacked is the standard I would assume everybody would live up to here as much as in any other thread on this forum.

Obviously as StellarAgent has pointed out everybody has their own ideas about what "crosses the line" and some people are far more liberal about this sort of thing than others. That said I have never had a Dev/Mod ever specifically warn me about anything that has appeared in this thread and as far as I'm aware there has never been a post here that has had the Mod Hammer applied to it.

Anyway let's suffice to agree that the pic-based suggestions posted on this thread have generally been relatively tame compared to other flame wars related to suggested options for the body models for this game. ;)

Back to the subject at hand I wouldn't mind having various mesh-textured clothing options for this game:

On the complete other side

On the complete other side from mesh shirts and skimpy clothing, I'm looking at something pretty chunky. Power armor of the "armored juggernaut" variety isn't something that City of Heroes really had, at least in a player-available fashion - the Freakshow could hit that point sometimes, but never the player characters, it seemed.

As such, I'm requesting juggernaut type power armor frames, in which a dome or other "helmet" attached to the torso goes on over top of the head, and in general includes a ton of bulky additional plating. You may notice in this image that the sort of protective cover over the head is not actually part of the helmet at all, but rather the torso frame.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".

Yeah I remember trying to use the CoH "Huge" body model to make a "wearable robot suit" for one of my otherwise petite female characters but it never quite worked because I could never really get it to look like anything other than just a big robot. The idea that the human girl was supposed to be inside the robot could never really be represented adequately.

There are of course a bunch of ways something like this could be implemented. Hopefully we'll get some variation of this at some point. I like the following version myself:

So I [url=https://kotaku.com

So I read the recent news about Arianna Grande getting a "nice looking" hand tattoo and it made me think that might be a cool thing for CoT. For instance people could have them being magical symbols for their super powers.

Unfortunately in Arianna's case they messed up the kanji so instead of saying what she wanted it to say (which was "seven rings") it actually says (depending on which way you read it) something like "BBQ grill chicken fingers". She even went back to get it "fixed" and apparently it's still messed up. Poor Arianna...

So basically I like the idea of hand tattoos like this for CoT as long as they don't spell out silly things. :)

I'm reasonably sure they are at least "planning" to have tattoos/scars in CoT. I could see where they might not make it into the game at the very beginning and even when/if they happen the subset of "hand tattoos" might not be a high priority regardless. Still it's always possible they have a good selection of those things already implemented. I guess like with everything else we'll see.

Considering there are real life boots that sort of have those extra incorporated "spat" parts it would seem plausible for CoT.

Your example seems vaguely close to the classic multi-buckled goth/combat "stompy" type boot that I'd also be interested in seeing in CoT.

Sure as a bare minimum the game -needs- to have something like this generic "combat" boot:

After that it shouldn't be terribly hard to evolve that into other versions with platform heels, multiple zips/buckles, etc:

P.S. Eventually I'd love something see something along these lines as well:

That mass of accessories is also, in all honesty, an animation nightmare. I'm seeing five sets of moving parts that conceivably have nothing to do with one another. And that's ignoring the book and crystals as Power Effects. While Unreal seems to do better with this sort of thing than the old Paragon, Cryptic, and LOTRO engines, I'm not sure how far I'd want to push it.

Would it be practical to have costume elements that will be animation-intensive flagged, both so that they can be counted during costume design and identified by the player creating the costume? Testing could reveal practical limits, beyond which additional animated elements are locked out, then the player can decide which, if any, of these elements to remove to replace with others. Capes, hair, trench coats, tuxedo tails, real tails, wings (though not fixed wings), floaty books, iOun Stonestm...

Costume animation issues are a real concern for a game like this. We all know games like CoH went to great lengths to limit the number of players that could, for instance, participate in Hami raids basically because they were concerned with having too many players all concentrated in one place with all their various powers AND capes AND auras AND everything else all active at the same time. Remember the only real reason capes were initially restricted to characters level 20+ is that they literally didn't want -everyone- to have one for fear of crushing the servers - they were only slowly released out to effectively any level character over the course of several years.

Now all that being said those were limitations of servers that were established for a game roughly 15+ years ago. In addition most people's Internet connections (as well as the computers they play games on) have vastly improved over the last few decades. We can only hope that whatever hardware/networks CoT will be running on will be much more capable than whatever they were using for CoH. I strongly suspect there will still be limitations based on issues like this and where those limitations arise the game will need to focus on what I'd call the "basics" (capes, wings, hair, tails, trench coats, tuxedo tails, etc.) before it gets too fancy with multiple animated props/auras. I'm all for MWM pushing the bleeding edge for what the UE4 system can do, but if there are going to be -any- restrictions then let's hope MWM will prioritize in the right areas.

Again to be clear I'm a strong proponent for pushing the frontier of what the UE4 system can do but despite that lofty goal we must accept there will be limits. For painful example during the run of the "thread that shall not be named" I was very admittedly on the side of the argument that would have required "additional body model animation resources" and ultimately that was in fact the strongest (only?) argument the "anti" folks had to stand on against the entire premise of that thread.

Are you talking actual animal costume like this or an anthropomorphised animal like this?

Personally I have nothing against either one but I think the latter is easier to have additional costume pieces over since it would be implemented as a "skin" option and alternative heads, hands, and feet. Also fairly sure both are planned in some capacity.

I think the good thing is, they could spread some culture and there exist different materials as well, so it would make sense to see these. Another point would be, that there so many different ways to include it, even just as different textures, with different normal maps.

Yeah I think they're generically covered under following item listed at the top of the thread:

multi-ear combos ("human and fake animal ears" at same time or "real animal ears" only)

But it's never bad to cite a different example/texture you're thinking of. In this case you're clearly looking for the fetish/PVC/latex version. I think I've already suggested getting Ariana's topknot ponytail she often wears for CoT:

While we're here I'd like the necklaces she's wearing in these pics and... heck... I'd frankly kill to recreate a decent looking clone of Ariana herself as a player character for CoT. Here's hoping the character creator is going to be up to that task. ;)

The anime-style "Lolita" dresses might be kind of complex to implement in a game like this due to all the layering involved but it would be interesting to see if the Unreal Engine is up to that challenge. At least the "trenchcoat" look of the third pic should be relatively feasible.

Also a broom as a prop would be awesome, especially if you could ride it when using flight.

Yeah being able to have a "hand-held combat prop" also be a "travel power prop" could be cool.

They're all supposed to be one character?

I really like the coat on the last picture and I like all of their hats.

Yup, that's Marisa from Touhou. The Lolita style is the original. The right one is a special edition, which was made after the RDR2 release, as ZUN (creator of the game and thus the characters) is a fan of that game. He made a downloadable version for his Switch game.

The 3rd is really just a fan drawing, heh.
