A Little Bit About Us
I know personally, how much of a family these SuperGroups became for people back in the prime of City of Heroes. I for one sincerely regret not keeping in touch with many people from my old SuperGroup after the big closure. Myself and a few members on here have been discussing setting up a SuperGroup when the game goes live made up of those who have been around since the begining. So this is the formal invite to all members of the forum, including all those employed by Missing Worlds Media..
Between a few of us, we have purchased quite a few of the KS Perks/Add-ons. See the below discussions for more information on this. Any and all feedback is welcome on all topics. The group will be active and goal oriented, but it will not be RolePlaying required, i plan for this SG to not only have many of the first members of this site, but i also want to be role model for other groups, i will be running multiple weekly events, much as i did when COH was around.

The world is not always cheerful.
Sometimes, it feels like it is fading away before our very eyes. Virtue and justice become ideals you can no longer see as you weep for the loss of the people you hold dear. You hold onto those around you until the very end, until it all turns to dust. You lose it all, you lose everyone, and the community falls apart. The battles stop and the dust settles. Many people pack their bags and leave, weeping the loss of their friends, their comrades, and their family.

The world that once lost hope returns, a community shattered is together and strong. We are The Titan Legacy. We will rebuild that which we have spent so much time with, that which we have made friends and comrades in, that which we have loved. No matter what obstacles lay in our path, we will work together and show that there is hope whenever there is loss.

1. Please maintain a courteous and professional attitude while teaming with or without SG members.

2. Please keep in mind that this game spans quite literally the entire globe, thus, the players are from ALL walks of life and represent a great variety of cultures. Therefore, try to be sensitive to communication that may offend others.

3. RANKING SYSTEM – The Paragons has a ranking system. ALL members though are equal and are recognized by their mere membership. Only top officers will have permissions to kick people. New members will not have base item access until a minimum level of trust is built at with time. The lower level teirs are simply to gauge the level of activity during trial period.

4. POWER-LEVELING POLICY - Play the toon you want. Asking for a PL simply to gain levels quickly is both rude and leads to pointless levels. Learn the game, learn the powers of the archetype.

5. OFFICIAl COSTUME – One costume slot for the SG is MANDATORY. Predetermined costumes for male and female toons will be provided. You are only expected to wear them during SG functions.

6. BEHAIVOR – Any words from other groups or players that your conduct was anything but exemplary will be handled with a verbal warning two times. Third strike and you will be removed from the SG. This even applies to the known to be hostile PVP instances/zones.

I may not be the most active person, but I've kept my eye on this for as long as I could :) A SG geared towards the same feel of a family as many SG's in CoH did sounds right up my alley. Back before my computer and internet blew up, I very much so felt that my SG was my extended family, and I learned a lot from them.

Oh hell yeah...you beat me to it! I was having the same notion but since you were first, count me in! We can figure out the gory details as we go (Atlas Remembered sounds good but I think we can do better). The costume and symbol debates alone will be epic! Great idea!

I'm a survivor from COH I liked playing the villain side more, but I made a emp/emp defender. A healing machine before COV came out. It sounds like a cool idea to form the foundations of the SG now. I would definitely like to be part of that process and see where this leads us :)

A SG like this is absolutely perfect for nurturing the same community from CoH. Take the remnants, put it in an incubator (Where we are now), let it hatch (game opening), and watch it mature into something we all know and love from CoH - the most amazing community I have ever known.

Lets say, that to survive, we had to take shelter in a ginormous underground cavern (because a ginormous above ground cavern is pretty much a parking lot.)
Heroes, villains, and civilians were forced to work together to survive. In the intervening time we've become somewhat of a family. Doesn't matter if you've never played CoH before, We're still family!

im glad more than a few people have taken interest in the project. ill be working on some details over this next week, and ill come up with a list of thing for us to work on over the next year, we'll try and treat it the same way that MWM is doing there things, well delegate something to everyone, and then we can review it as a group. SG To Do List - this is the pending list of things to work on, so you all can brain storm. As we get decisions made i will amend the original post so you all dont have to search through pages and pages down the road looking for things. any replies to these topics, just put the number next to your reply so i can see which topic your refering to.
1) The Super Groups Name - the tentative name right now is "Atlas Remembered" , but im completely open for options on that, because as someone had stated im pretty sure we can do better. another name i had been mulling over was "The Kickers", let me know what yall are thinking.
2) The Super Group Logo - as of last look, there is a Kickstarter add on that allows you to have a custom logo designed, and thanks to Kaxiya and Vaidyalia, who are going to attempt to handle this for the group. It will be COH/Atlas Park inspired, so any ideas or suggestions for Kaxiya you have, would be wonderful.
3) The alternate Base - i will be doing the Mogul add on, that allows us to have a named tower in the main city. I either plan on having it open to the group and named after myself as "Luscious Investments" ; but if we come up with a really nice name, i am open to putting the SG name on the tower instead. Opinions...
4) SG Ranks/Positions - This will probably be sitting on the stack for a while as i doubt they are even at the point where this is 100% planned. I will get in touch with them following the Kickstarter and see what they are planning for the SG's and we can work form there.
5) SG Description/Story - Looking for someone who is good with usin dur werds! So if anyone is interested just hit me up, im hoping who ever volunteers has some prior knowledge of the city of heroes environment and culture.
6) SG Color Scheme / Group Meet Costume - Once we have a logo and the game is in beta we can figure out what colors and what the required male/female costumes will be for when we hold SG events.

We just wanted to confirm that my wife and I will be springing for the " Iconic " add-on for use with the SG. (this is of course with the understanding that TPP/MWM will allow one person to purchase a logo used on a base bought by another.)
I don't think we need to worry about the group logo until a name is finalized though.

There is another thread on this forum asking for a chat box for players. I was thinking this was the place to suggest we create for ourselves a Skype group, since supporting a chat box here on the site is not currently viable (maybe when they've gotten a few more months of customization and tweaking into it). We could have one for group members, and host another for anyone who wants to talk about the game (including, at this stage, development of) (and harvest new members from it :D)

Thinking about possible names for the group, what about "The Paragon"? Paragon means a model of excellence or perfection. Therefore, a model SG like ours who formed at the very start from the community would be a Paragon of determination. A group of the first heroes of this new world/game, they would truly be Paragons.
Not to mention, its an homage itself to CoH.

To contribute from the start, could I maybe assist with some groundwork for the group's story....and sorry to make a demand so early, but I second the name The Paragons, as a nod to the heroic devs from Paragon Studios who gave us a home to start, and for them to act as examples to the newest influx of heroes in Titan City....:)
Maybe their nickname or group password, and call sign could be Atlas Remembered, in memorium of the Titan City Police Squad, who died defending the group's earliest heroes, while they were incapacitated by the group's archnemsis....?

I'll fourth 'The Paragons'. It's a good nod to CoH without being too clunky, and sounds like an actual supergroup as well. Now all I have to figure out is which of my character concepts to use for the group.

I have two big hero concepts right now. One was formulated name-first, "The Silver Sirrush" I'm thinking some sort of energy projector, powered by an ancient alien powered armor.

I just found out about this. I have been reading every form on this site and I am overly excited about the game. I was a major player of COH had several 50's and loved every minute of it. AcidChick was my first lvl 50 scrapper. So I am really eager to get into this with ya'll. I regret that I didn't get to play COH in its last days I was away from the game for a really long time. But theres nothing like a great mmo game!! So count me in on the SG and I would love to participate in the beta whenever it might come out. I know they haven't nailed out the plan for how usernames/character names will be done, but i for one want to be planned out the moment beta goes live :P . so these are my plans just incase toon names are limited...
Username - Luscious
Toon 2 - Enforcer - Badger -> going for a brute force aspect, hoping for some kind of super healing or invincibility.
Toon 1 - Commander/Gaurdian - Frostbite (pending till i think of something better) -> Ice and healing is what im hoping for, i havent looked are asked much of whats going to be planned for either of those two archetypes.
Im huge on grouping most of the time, so for me the ice/empath controller was one of my favorite toons, she almost never died... so im hoping to replicate that the best i can.... slow everything down, keep everyone alive, let them just pound away till the job is done. hoping for things like teleport team mate so i can pull people across maps, as well as fly.
What are you all thinking for the toon you are gonna have in the SG?

I had OneManArmy, somehow lost it and had to go with OneManLegion. He was a martial arts scrapper based on Captain America.
But I think my favorite near the end was a superspeed kid hero, made for a sidekick team I wanted to start like the Teen Titans. He had Kinetic Melee which I dearly loved!
For costume, I don't know. It would be cool to have a common uniform but I would also happily make my unique costume the team colors for solidarity. Hopefully, we'll be able to switch back and forth for solo and team events.

Howdy! This sounds fun, so add me too. I'm an old fart, I don't talk much, but I've been around since the beginning and I loved my CoX. I played umpteen Lucius (prefix) X characters back on Liberty, but decided to upgrade to my more manly alternate name. So yea, *manly catch-phrase*
As a side note, the first thing I remember of CoH was entering the tutorial and rotating the camera all around my character. I was blown away by what I felt at that time was just the hugeness of it all. I looked up at the blue energy wall to the left, and just thought wow...that's so damn cool. And truthfully, I never stopped thinking that about the game. No matter what new MMO came along that offered this or that, better graphics, or whatever, you'll never forget your first moment, with your first love.
What's interesting is that I know you all feel that way too. That's profound to me, and also very comforting knowing others feel the same. So, I look forward to getting to know you folks, and who knows, maybe I'll even talk more :)

Yeah The Paragons sounds good to me too. As for the logo, any way the artists in the group (i.e. not me lol) could do a silhouette of the Atlas statue over the Titan City Phoenix statue? Like Atlas with phoenix wings sort of. Seems appropriate to me.
Colors can wait until we even know how the palette will work but I suggest something casual like we all represent the SG colors but in whatever style we choose. We can have formal uniforms for meetings and ceremonies where they look more alike.
I remember when Star Wars was cool...a long, long time ago...
I'm wondering if something like "The Last Paragons" would work.
