Hey guys, just so you know. I got clarification on the capes that were included recently on the Kickstarter add-on section. Since my wife and I are pledging "Iconic" for the whole SG, anyone who wants to purchase the cape and use the SG's logo (whatever that ends up being), they will be able to do so.
Of course you can always use whatever logo's are available from MWM if you so choose.
Exact details will probably be provided post KS on how we would go about doing this, but its nice to know we have the option of a team logo on a real cape should we desire to use it.

The RP takes place in City Of Heroes' world still - as a Before the Backstory. You know, just to RP with the group, get to know each other, and for the backstory team to really see how certain characters act under whatever circumstance. Also, just for fun.
So, this doesn't happen in Titan City at all, only the zones from the game that has now been closed (But not Praetoria). The backstory will cover both City of Heroes and Titan City / City of Titans, and we'll probably host another RP topic for that section, but that's not until we have way more info on the zones of Titan City.
Also, the Tower (The Mogul addon) is not Atlas Tower. Well, I guess it could be called that? I dunno... We'll have to talk with Chris on that. But the name of the base it is in, the company it is owned by, and pretty much its name is LINC (Lancaster INCorporated).
So, with that clarification, you cannot use that as a setting for your RP, but it's only 'cause we're not there yet :)

ATTENTION everyone. Update 42 came out showing the history of Titan City. In it is explains how a group of heroes led by American Star formed a group of "Paragons" which is now being led by Anthem.
After talking it over with Chris and a few others, it was decided to see how everyone felt about changing the SG name from "The Paragons" seeing as it is close to the official in game SG.
I have talked to MWM and they do NOT have any issues with us continuing to use our current name, but we wanted your feedback.
Please post any suggestions, including keeping our current name, either here or in Skype.

Maybe a bit late to the party, but in keeping with the game's theme of the phoenix, rebirth, etc... what about "The Ashes"? As in, we are the remnant of what was lost, and from us will come the next generation of greatness.

As someone who likes continuity, and is only recently throwing his invisible hat into the Paragon ring, I like the name "ACME" (believe it or not, if you look up synonyms of Paragon, acme is on the list!)
Seriously, unless MWM objects (and apparently they haven't yet) I think Paragon is a great SG name and you guys should stick with it.

Also, even though we've been slow, chapter 1 of the backstory is incoming. We have 2 years or so, so we're taking our time with it.
Next, the naming issue for the SG will be talked about tonorrow most likely, so I ask dveryone to think of names and let ideas ferment. The skype group will be discusding it in a most likely heated debate. I encourage everyone not in it now to atleast join the group temporarily to get your voice heard the best.

I believe the Phoenix Guard is the best, it implies that not only do we protect Titan City to the core, and help it rise from it's ashes and turmoil, as well the idea that like a Phoenix, we will always rise again to defend our home...

Rather than voting on a favorite, how about anyone who wants to weigh in list their three favorites in order of their preference - best first, second second, third third. I'm not 100% sold on Titan Legacy, but I'll echo what Gladiatora said... it'll grow on me. I wasn't in the Skype convo so aside from my contributions on the thread I respect the consensus that came down in chat. Anything less is pretty poor teamplayersmanship (it's a word, look it up :) ).
Calling dibs on using my suggested names for personal SG use down the road! :)
The names were also selected in part to fit with the planned backstory, so names that contradicted or were just not fitting didn't really make it far.

We all liked it on skype but luscious hasn't taken into consideration that there is a small percentage of us on there. Better to let everyone that is in the group to decide. The few should not decide for the many.

Depending on how many people are in, and how many alts they bring, we can always run Divisions using some of the names not chosen for the primary SG.
Any thought of sending out a PM to everyone on the current signed-up list asking for their top 3 names?

Haha, Gideon, I did take it into consideration. The thing is that the first vote only had 15 votes. The council is the people who were around before when the group was just PM's back and forth between a couple of us when the forum first opened. The other thing is that a) there is now way to get 49 ppl to agree. B) almost every super group has been made, named, and started in game before getting huge. I think the giant amount of input we get, and how open we are is impressive. The thing is

All right guys after a weeks deliberating with the leader council and a few people active on the Skype group, we came to a decision that the SG name needed to be changed following some revelations on names of a SG in the games story arc. After many many hours we came to many possibles, but one name stuck better and had a better feeling in the group. So i proudly announce the new name of the SG:
"The Titan Legacy"
It is our hope that is emblazons in the mind of players what the best of the best can become. I know it would be the best thing in the world name wise for some of you, but i hope that you give it some time to sink in. We really like it.
We've adjusted and edited the ranking system -
Exalted Mediator and Hand-Holder - Myself (Leader Rank)
Beacon of Blazing Faith - Kaxiya (Frank) my second in command, has been with me since the beginning.
Defenders of the Inner Flame - Our go to guys, the inner council of leaders - Shadow Elusive, NightLight, Snate56, Doc Simian, ComicsLuvr, Syntax, Meta.
Guardians of the Watchtower - This is where the majority of the SG will be, full access to base/supplies, and there is definitely room to move up to the inner council, once a month we will meet and decide who deserves to move up rank.
Keepers of the Order
Symbols of Freedom - These ranks will be to rank and file the new members we add once the game is live so we can judge how active they are as they move up the ranks.
We needs to start working on a new SG Logo based on the SG name change. So any input there is greatly appreciated.
I purchased the MOGUL add-on for the SG, so we are working on coming up with ideas for building designs. I will be posting up a bunch of ones I'm working on, later this weekend. for the moment here is one of the designs were working with as a potential starting point.

Is the Titan Legacy just the name of the SG in general, and will we be called something different in character or am I mistaken?

That is the name of the SG, and that will appear under your name when someone mouses over you in game

I know, I just mean like for example, if a hero called out in RP chat towards members of the Titan's Legacy...would he reference us as that exactly...if we were in character, would he say...
"Oh good, it's Lady Nova, from the Titan's Legacy!"

I'm a little confused, but I would assume so, yes. Our SG, in RP terms, is the group of heroes (and villains originally) who survived in the net universe until being brought into CoT by Kax and Lancaster of LINC Incorporated. Lancaster remains our beneficiary, and we, as the hero group she funds, are called the Titan Legacy. I'm not as yet sure how or why we become called that, but it will be determined in the backstory when we get there (all CoT based backstory remains by necessity vague, we still do not know enough about CoT)
