I'd need to see who else is still around to find out where to start back up again, as well as read some of the lore for CoT to make sure it blends in nicely. But definitely, I'd be willing to do it again.

I hear ya. Maybe it's best to hold off until the game's closer to beta anyway? I mean, starting early sounds good on paper, because it leaves more time to expand the tale. But on the other hand, as the beta gets closer, there will be more details about canonical lore that could be very useful, and I'm sure activity here will pick up as well. Things are dead right now because as excited as we all are, you can only spend so much time geeking out about something that's not even close to being made yet.

Totally understand that. And probably is best to wait, especially given that the top brass in this SG are currently MIA.

I've got the forum and this thread saved as favorites, and I check in every few days. Aside from that, I've decided to take one last shot at being able to say that I've lived one of my childhood dreams. I'm trying to go pro in Team Fortress 2. I wanted to be a professional gamer in the 2nd grade. I told everyone that one day I would. I swore it up through middle school. Unfortunately, that was the 80's and 90's. There just wasn't a viable competitive scene when I was young enough to really devote myself to it.

But I've reached that age when you're closer to 40 than you want to be, and you start to look back on your life and take stock of where you've been, and where you're going, and I'm feeling like it's now or never. If I fail, I fail; but I don't want to go through life feeling like I never put my all into fulfilling a dream.

So that's what's up with me ATM. I'm still not pro-level, but I'm getting better. I can see marked improvement, and that's all I really need. I'm looking forward to Valve launching competitive match-making soon. That'll be a great way to gauge where I am.

There was the survey back in '14, which IIRC, was a few months before the "Carnegie, Vanderbilt, and You" update. I've not seen anything new on the Mogul front since then, and I have been checking my mailbox and filters.

Looks like an active group - I'm sure at one point I may look into an SG here at some point.Congrats to Kovac - cherish the love of your life - I did and miss her deeply, we met in City of Heroes, she passed in January and it's been a long road. I have one of the Mogul buildings (Mischief's Ascent - was and even more so now an o mage to my wife, Mischief). Based on one of their recent updates, I think they farmed several of these perks out to another company to model, but I think that has fallen through and they have had to bring things internally. Just not sure, but things have been quiet on that front - still excited to see things progress. After you submitted your three options for the building, they contact you with the one they selected to have one of the artists start sketching the buildings before sending it to the 3D modelling team. That's basically where Mischief's Ascent left off - was just finishing with the artist's sketches. Guess we will see what happens going forward.

Holy nuts! Came by for my regular quarterly checking (I know, I know, I missed my last one by a couple months), and the Avatar Builder is finally here! Guys! IT'S HAPPENIIIIIING! Can't wait to get home and try this out. We should start posting pics of our characters. I'm eager to see my future comrades!

Not up and running, but there was a Patch last night for the Avatar Builder, if you've got that for testing!

I often find kittens delightful, but the last time I had kittens playing in the house, they were playing 'Rumpus-Tag', so it was more like 'the rolling thunder of tiny feet'. The periods of quiet happened when the kittens were scrabling around on the furniture. When there was silence followed by a Scream, the kittens were turning donuts on my Dad's Chest. He was napping and they jumped up on the bed.

Kittens are wonderful, but a mixed-blessing sometimes.
