Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

taking a moment away from sunbeam's f/x. starting working on prelims for my own lil batman/moonknight type...sans the cape (I occasionnaly do listen to edna). current working name is glass scorpion but I am looking at scorpios as well. staff/spear being weapon of choice but much like mk/bats he has a buncha lil gadgets he can fall back upon.
I may or may not have something posted later, depends on how it goes.

...just did my first pass following the lil guide and while there where a few things different (GIMP user here). nothing major and was easily figured out. your steps visually looked a bit different than mine but the end result was pretty durn similar. now that I have a clue I plan on working some more with it till I get the look I want.

The basictools are the same as in any program really. They may have different names though... like Photoshop has the Liquify tool... but in Paint Shop Pro it's called the Warp tool (way more accurate name if you ask me [img]http://www.deedeeproductions.nl/images/DeeDee/Smilies/Blush.png[/img]).
Another bonus is that PSP9 doesn't take up as much as RAM as PS does when using it. That's a real blessing [img]http://www.deedeeproductions.nl/images/DeeDee/Smilies/Yay.png[/img]. [/color][/b][/size][/font]

GIMPs not bad given it's opensource freeware. I have been usin it for years now. there are a few things wish it had, but they are nothing earth shattering.
in regards to the tutorial...I love em to pieces. meant a lot that you were willing to put one together regarding the speed f/x. although I am already looking at other ways to use various part for other things...so it was much more. ...so, again...thank you DD! bestest? yeah...that's you! :)

You're absolutely right, DeeDee, if the image were made with 'real light', but it's made with 'comic-book light', which can act like pure darkness. In which case, his eyes/goggles, insignia, and spearhead are glowing with inner glow... *grin* Or, perhaps they're reflecting the 'comic-book light' from another source.

I mean, if the Moon were actually as close to the Earth as shown in the drawing, Everybody would be having so much Disaster that one super would not have time to pose dramatically, right?

so, been looking at scorp and think I am going to change up the coloring. something to make him pop a lil better when in the comic shadows. the blue is a lil to soft. think I may jump to reds or possibly greens. dunno...just fiddling at the moment.
times like this make me really glad for paint programs as once you have the lines down and saved it is really easy to recolor and then to comparisons...

agreed on the bright green...I had to tone it down as it was a lil to bright. while I liked the blue it didn't just didn't "feel" right to me, so I jumped to greens. blue is probably my fav color followed closely by green. :)

been working on write-ups an that for the various characters (history, powers, etc) and have decided to put the pumakid on the back burner. I like the idea behind him powerwise but I'm just not "feelin" it regarding a name, look, etc. as such, he goes back to the drawing board. TSS (the striking scorpion)( on the otherhand appears to usurped the position as my only "kid" hero...looking at 16 possibly 17 just depends on how the finished write-up goes, he's still in primarily bullet format (major events, important notes, etc).
I have also been tinkering with a standardized format for reference material that I send out when asked by various artists. it's nothing major really: couple of images of the hero in question, brief description of powers, basic physical stats (hgt, wgt, hair, eyes, age) and any special notes about the character.
otherwise just been kinda sitting in neutral drawing-wise.

bored, so figured I would take a stab at someone else's character. the vict....errr....subject is Brand X this time around.
following is the rough that I am currently working on. lots and lots that I need to work on...those hands are killin me for some reason, more so than usual, today.

not sure on the hair style...reference pics range from a bowl'ish type to long...I went with the short route for now. rounded out the face a lil more to help show she's just a kid (teen) and I'm relatively pleased with the results there, just need to clean up the mask area a good bit.
Brand X: do you have a reference pic you use? if not, no worries. if not, is there a preferred hairstyle. additionally, just let me know if there any other details I should know about. :) (assuming you see this of course...lol)

In Paragon Chat she's back to Hard Candy :) Then some artists put their own little spin on her.

yeah....Alex stuff is pretty much awsomesauce to be sure. I really groove on his work and I just cant stay away from him. he's my "go to" artist when I get the itch for work to be done. hehe ...oh, and this was the first time he has actually shown WP using a power, well, other than flying of course. heh
updated pic of Brand X. I will probably run with this and make any additional changes in GIMP. an example of a change that will happen there are the eyes. I am undecided if I will have her eyes showing or hidden.

finished line work and did a test coloring to see where I am. went to a deep purple for the costume versus black. looking at adding goggle glass over the eyes themselves. need to do the chain. thinkin I should should be done with this by this evenin. :)

it's official...I NEVER want to do massive lengths of chains EVER again.....2/3 of the way done on the initial linkage. then I have to go back through each link and clean them up....ugh. talk about boring...ZZZzzzz....

I quite like it. :) You put your own touches on her, like many do. As for hiding or showing her eyes, you're the artist :p I do know in RP she has lens that give a halo effect around her head to block camers/pictures from being taken of her face and her mask has added texture/thickness as backup to that.
Basically a way to avoid facial recognition :)
I suppose that changes will always occur on some level from artist to artist. even with set reference shots and/or detailed explanations of what they look like.
personally I kinda like the variances that artists will throw in on occasion. makes WP seem more "alive" if that makes sense. that said, I like having a standard reference sheet for my characters, it is the default/baseline look for them. it is the look I designed for them and I want to stay as faithful to the look that I like as possible...unfortunately, this is not always possible to maintain once taken into an MMO. WP is a perfect example...his costume will never (most likely) be replicated in the various costume creators as such, I just come up with something quasi close that I like and fits his theme.
along those lines though, I have mentioned it before, but I wouldn't want to be able to replicate a look exactly in an MMO as it means anyone and everyone could have the same look. this in turn takes away the unique (such as they are) of my characters and I loose ownership of said look. due to this, had I been around when the kickstarter was up an runnin, I would NOT have bought the option to design a costume as it becomes effectively "public domain" after a year.
back to Brand X, I didn't finish her last night but I am hoping to have it done sometime today. just the detail on the chain is left. :)

so, given the precarious position da is in, I would suggest backing up anything you have there elsewhere (email the stuff to yourself and create a lil art folder, it's one of my backups I use). just a precaution is all, hopefully though da will pull through...perhaps a lil bruised but I would like to believe she'll still be around in the future.
