CP disguises himself in the guard's suit, with fortunately fits right over his so he doesn't have to strip. He does how ever hand over his hat to Theo since he can't afford to carry it. CP takes a look back at the guard in his heart pattern boxers and grey undershirt as he gets a feel for his new batton and tasser. "I assume we make our separate ways now?"

"Probably best for now at least. I'll head off to the lab and see what I can get for supplies and ...what's the cell coverage down here?" He started, checking his phone to see full signal still available. He shakes the phone in his free hand saying, "You got the number, call me when you're done. I'm gonna hit the lab for any more files and samples."
He nodded to CP as they exited the janitor's closet. Once CP was out of sight, he turned back, and whammied the guard in a style only TK would. When the guard woke up, he'd be deeply conflicted to stay married and raise his kids or to run off to live the life he 'always wanted.' Satisfied, Theo left the janitor's closet and made his way down to the lab, sending a few scientists a whammy while he searched their minds.
“The story so far: In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.” -Douglas Adams
At the other end of the of the hall CP made his way down a stairway to the floor below. At the bottom of the stair way was a guard who CP made a friendly nod to as he passed by him and made his way to the security room.
Finally! Theo thought. His most recent target was one of the named scientists in the Lucent Dawn project. Her mind was full of information he wanted to pluck out and dance in the orgy of evidence. She knew where the files were stored. She had in-depth knowledge of the source. She was the ticket, and this was all too easy. With the scientist 'leading' the way, Theo followed her to the lab, taking a thumb drive of decrypted information upon exit. The scientist now had issue with the project and the whammied intention to undermine it whenever possible for EdenTech. More chaos please. The samples weren't easily synthesized, so he took the two boxes he could grab and began to retrace his steps back. Unfortunately, he wasn't alone.
"Hey where do you think you're going with that?" Theo turned around to see a security guard called out with his gun raised. Theo had a distinct disadvantage and few options to turn the tables at the moment.
CP got out a smart phone and his card as he approached the security room, he first swiped the card then when a retinal scan was asked for he held the smart phone in front of the camera. The phone displayed an image of an eye ball CP was able to make match the guard's eye. After a few seconds for the machine to process he was in.
Inside the monitor room sat one guard, stuffing his face with a burger and a soda. He was oblivious to CP's arrival in the room with all his focus on a particular screen he had brought into main view. On the screen was TeeKay holding a box with a hat resting on top of it. On the far shot, the security guard was reaching for his gun.
The rather wolf-like woman in light body armor and a dark brown jacket looked up at the building. It didn't seem like very much, but she had to concentrate to even read the name above the door. It was as if something didn't want people thinking about the building. That would be a good way to keep a location secret. She wondered idly how it was done.
She entered and walked up to the front desk, noticing the thick glass, and subconsciously estimating how long it would take her weapons to penetrate it. She set an empty bottle on the counter. "Hello, I am Sharlfi Erghen. Shari will do. Adalina Niccoli told me I could get lodgings here." Her English was quite good, considering the sharp teeth it had to come out through...

Ratz was talking on the phone "Look I can't hook you up anymore. Yeah, yeah we were friends way back when you were the Reaper. But you're not him anymore, alright I see what I can do. But my debt to you was paid for when I hooked you up with those mercenaries. I got to go Ron got paying business to tend to." He hung up the phone and looked to the dog... no wolf woman. "Town keeps getting crazier and crazier."
"What can I do for you? Hmm Room yeah we offer weekly, monthly, or even yearly rates. Basic setup cheapest going to one of the fine suites on the top floors. Bar, gambling hall, and restaurant in the back. So what kind of lodging you looking for? Oh warning in advance all people staying here sign a binding contract it a safety measure. The building keeps wondering people from snooping in, only way to know about the place is to be informed by someone already in the contract. Forget to pay your contract expires,, we keep what left in your room as final pay."

2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
"Weekly for now, until my pay starts coming in. And lets look at something...about two thirds of the way up." Shari only let a little bit of her teeth show as she smiled at the human. It was likely that even the smallest rooms here were as large as her quarters had been back on DTM, but this was not a vessel in The Deep. Planetside accommodations were almost always bigger. But if she took something too small, it might reflect poorly on her new employer.
The conversation she had overheard was interesting. Apparently at least some people who were no longer welcome here could still remember it. That might be important to know, later...
A man dressed in formal clothes, red tie and sunglasses was walking along the street towards the Grayson Tower. He had dark brown hair in a pompadour haircut. He was constantly reading a paper, periodically looking up from it to see where he was going. Once he had arrived at the front doors he opened them and walked in. He took a moment to glance around as he thrashed the piece of paper, then walked towards the front desk, positioning himself behind the wolf woman and crossing his arms on his chest. He impatiently glanced around.
Ratz checked a list of rooms on the computer and nods "Alright there about 5 places open rooms five through seven. I show you them after I tend to the fellow behind you." Technically Ron doesn't know about the Grayson Tower he just has a phone number for Ratz.
(I thought of that possibility later. I guess Shari has leapt to the Isle of Conclusions. ^_^)
"By all means." Shari stepped to the right, and began to look around the lobby. Her hearing would still pick up their conversation if it was conducted at normal levels, but if either of the two saw her long, wolf-like ears and came to the conclusion that her hearing was very good, they might very well speak too softly for her to hear...
The formally dressed man stepped forward as Shari stepped aside. "I would like to rent a room for... laboratory space... the cops are close to discovering my current one in the sewers and i hear this place has... 'protection' from any strangers."
Any life form scanners or magics with a similar function wouldn't be able to detect the man.
"Alright so that two new clients. I show you two some places we have open." He closed the window and headed out of the office "Alright how big of a lab space you're looking for. We also have a limit on what type of experiments. Not to much, no nuclear radioactive stuff, high explosives. Basically anything that could cause damage or be a strain on the Tower protection. Radiation spikes would be such a strain." He lead the two to the elevator "There no lab room on the lower floors. Basic economy size apartments, hotel rooms converted for long term stay. We start with a mid range place, basic home setup. Living room, kitchen, bedroom, bath. There option of one to three bedrooms. Could convert one of the spare bedroom to a lab if you have your own equipment."
After a short elevator ride he leads them to one of the apartments "I looked ahead and this one furbished. Figured at least one of you don't have things to move in. kind of standard in this kind of place to have furniture already set up." He opened the door to the one bedroom apartment. "Go ahead look around."
Shari entered the apartment and looked around. The first room had several places to sit, and was obviously intended for relaxing and/or socializing. Another room, with no door between it an the first, had a table and chairs, and storage cabinets (one of which was cold inside), a double sink, food preparation surfaces, and several gadget-boxes that were likely either for cooking or cleaning. Shari didn't want to take too much time figuring out which; not with the impatient person and the manager waiting. A room off of a short hallway from the first room, with a door, contained a bed and more storage. The last room, also with a door, contained primitive sanitary arrangements.
"Not quite. I will require one more room, about the size of the bedroom in this one, with no furnishings. Otherwise this one would be acceptable."
The man followed Ratz. "You have nothing to worry about. The kind of experiments i do cannot cause damage to the building." Once Ratz had opened the door to the first room he peeked inside, but did not enter. "A room this size would do, but i need it unfurnished."
Shari considered. "If you don't have a two-bedroom with only a one-bedroom worth of furnishings, but you have an unfurnished two-bedroom, you could move what is in here there, I could take that and this gentleman could take this."
"No need for all that. Multi bedrooms aren't as high demand as single. Seems the type of people that live here are generally loners. There a furnished two bedroom down the hall, and a room matching this one unfurnished two floors up. We also have one two bedroom unfurnished open one floor up." He looked at his tablet as he said that.
The man rubbed his chin and considered his two options, after a moment he said:"I'll take the unfurnished room matching this one two floors up"
"Alright that's G7, and how about you miss?" He removed a pendant from the inside of his shirt. "Would you want to look at anything else?"
"Any of the furnished two-bedrooms would do, if we can take out one bedroom's bed and dressers." Shari wondered idly what might be done with them. Storage seemed most likely.
After showing the two new residents there new apartments and had them sign the contract. Ratz went up to one of the suites. He was heading for Countessa Nocturne's suite. Knocking lightly "Countessa Nocturne? I have a request for a meeting with you from a former associate of mine. Can I speak to you in private?"
The man would have given the contract a throughout read before signing it. He went into his room and had a look around, then leaving it to walk over to the elevator, pressing the button. Soon the elevator arrived and he stepped inside, pressing the button for the first floor. He stepped out of the elevator and exited the building, but would not forget about it because of the contract.
Likewise, Shari gave it a good read before signing, as well as checking out her apartment. She found it suitable, one bedroom ready to use, and the other quite empty. She drew all the curtains, then used the empty room to exercise in. Anyone trained in martial arts would likely recognize her activity as kata, though unless the hypothetical viewer was familiar with styles from the IJC Nexus, identifying the style would be difficult. Analyzing it would be easy enough for an expert, though, and so Shari had made having a room to practice in privately a priority. What your enemies don't know, is less likely to hurt you.
About an hour later, after a shower and a few minutes with what looked like a blow-dryer (because it was), Shari went to bed for the night. She awoke a few hours after dawn.
Laughing Sandman walked into the tower followed by his gang. Only then did he remove his mask "It worked! Ratz they were helpless." He and the gang headed back to the club room to celebrate. Hotwire was reporting on the ongoing news report of the Mech assault.
A few days later
His big thug Henry looked at his employer as they played cards in his penthouse. "Boss you looking older." The hand he held was placed on the card table and he rushed to a mirror looking at his face "Damn I was afraid of this." The goon shrugged "People age it happens." Joshua Basarab glanced to the goon then shook his head and looked in the mirror he had aged a few years or so in a the last few days. "I need another transfusion. Start looking for a donner someone the world wouldn't miss."
Henry tilted his head "Already? It only been five years." "Yeah Henry most of the last one went to stopping death and repairing the damage Misty caused. Such a shame almost broke her fully just a few more days and the tower would have a new shade." Joshua rubbed his shoulder the bullet had missed his heart by a mere inch. "No games I need a fresh dose of life force no time to break the spirit."
"Come on boys we going back to school." Henry and the other gang members headed out of the Tower as Joshua headed back to the club room he needed a drink... and the day started off so swell.
Pulling into the parking lot he got out and looked at the very plan and ordinary building "Home sweet home." Heading inside he spoke to Rats who was still at his post even though he was watching the T.V. and talking on the phone "Yeah you heard me, I want 200 on hellraiser. Sure I can cover the bet you think I can survive in my line of work skimping out? Oh got to go the boss just walked in" Rats looked over "Ya need anything boss? You don't look like your normal self."
"No I'm fine Rats seems there was a little side effect with the transfusion. I be in my lab I expect no interruptions."
Ratz headed for his bosses penthouse apartment and unlocked it. It has been too long it was now clear the talk of the town that the Sandman was captured or dead. After checking a few things he signed not because he missed the fellow far from it. Just that now he had more work to do. Someone needed to take over the Tower even the Contessa was missing so direct control. Ratz shook as he followed the directions he was given and went to the center black stone pillar drew a blade and cut his palm letting the blood pool before he pressed it to the stone. "By the contract, I am the Master and Slave to Grayson Tower."
The stone pillar flared with reddish light as shades formed around him. Even outside of the building they could hear his screams as he was bound body and soul to the dark magic.
Kiwishta looked up from her study of the twisting arcane lock about the vault she was cracking in Alexandria. Her whiskers quirked. "My, my, my! Someone has just tampered with Grayson again! It's about time."
Observation duly noted, she went on about her nefarious work.
