Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] attempted to make sense of the broken tramsmission. She increased the power to nearly her gear's limits. "Say again, please. Your signal is breaking up." She set filters to reduce the static.
Unknown's question about the drones was a tough one. Were they sapient? Had they been? Could they develop sapience? It all boiled down to "insufficient data". "Not yet, unless they attack us. By the time we leave, other choices may have presented themselves."

Glenshadow had heard Aiko's assessment on the drones....he agreed totally....Then he thought about the one they had back at the Daily grind....once the link was broke it wasn't a threat at least wasn't when he left.
As Aiko boosted her signal and filters..she could make out the comm..It was Steel..." Iv'e moved the large stones blocking the passage and making sure the opening here doesnt cave in. i made a corridor and have enterd the compound....have encountered some minor resistance but am currently heading to you tracking the data pads signal"then there was another tremor.....
Sister Flare simply stared at the remains of of Emerald for a long moment, not blinking, not daring to wipe the dust and blood of monsters slain off her attire as she suddenly stands, reapproaching that group after gather some energy back through the calm after the battle. Eyeing the wedge in which Kat, Alko and Unknown were, she inquires to Nightstrike and Luca.
"Should I remain on this side, await what they report?"

Glenshadow was on the same side as sister flare and before the others could even answer he said " I'd appreciate it if you did.." he motioned to the shoulder of his with the peice of metal still sticking out...he left it in to stem the flow of blood..." i can support her" he said pointing to heartseeker as she leaned on him and the wall"but if anything comes up on us...itd be tough for me to defend"....
there was a sound of breif gunfire coming from the original hall Glenshadow and the others came down. Then a smashing sound.....and another tremor.....the whole complex shook this time, and longer than the previous ones....
"Lets get to work one way or another. I do not like not being in the sunlight." Unknown crystal blades extended and she cut the top of the metal box. The baby squirmed a bit in Luca's arms sucking on her thumb. Like her mother she fed off sunlight and energy, the main difference is how they process it.

As rotten cut the top off of the box..a glow started to fill the room. It was the orb..placed in a container with magnetic locks...and sealed. the stainless steel box it was stored in ripped like paper when the unknown sliced through. The orb lay on a small stand within. The tome was in the rubble of the center podium that had collapsed .
"great, now all we need to do is get out"...As glenshadow finished the words there was another rumble.. the tremors were getting faster and longer.
"Aiko if you can hear me..head out towards the ramp leading up..." steel said as he worked his way towards them as well.
Grabbing the tome, [Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] called out, "Steel's at the ramp. Nightstrike, can you ask the drones to follow us?"

Luca cradled the baby unknown gently, showing hints and signs that this wasn't his first rodeo. Being in such proximity he could feel the light within the child. Expertly, he moved to free a hand and pass the filigree wand near her. It reacted strongly. "Interesting..."
He wore a fear on his face. If anything came near the group, he was barely more a liability than an asset at the moment.

Kat opened her backpack and held it open with both hands. "Want to dump the orb in here?" she asked Unknown. "I can carry it."
She reached down and picked up the orb from the device. Then she put it in Kat's backpack. "The book should be around here as well."

"Aiko's got it, so we're done here. Let's go." Kat buckled the pack shut, careful not to touch the orb with her bare hands, and turned , ready to head back to the the partially wedged-open door.
When glenshadow heard they had retrieved the objects he immediately started to head back. "Which way?" He asked with Heartseeker leaning on him .
Sister Flare takes a moment to nod at Glen and the others as they return, before turning to Luca.
"I will take the child, if you could do a tracking or guidance spell of some sort, I can at the very least maneuver quickly enough to get..." She pauses to eye the child's features, dully noting that it was most likely basking in her unnatural warmth, continuing slowly. "...Her out of here should things become dangerous again."

Unknown looked to the drones. "Follow!" She didn't think they will respond, but might as well give it a try. Then to the others "Will that other orb work on them? And how do we get out of here?"

[font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] checked the schematics and edited them, marking in red the areas she knew were blocked, and yellow for the ones that were likely dangerous even if not blocked... A few seconds later, she had what was likely the best route up to the ramp, with the least yellow, and marked it as a thin green line. She put it on a thumb drive and passed it to the nearest person with a functioning tablet. "That's our route." She headed out to find out how good the route really was...

With a new sword and the orb in her backpack, Kat considered for the briefest of moments finding her own route out... but these people were after all her ride home. So, she shrugged and followed Aiko, leaving the others to their own devices.
Besides... it was bad business to stiff a client.
Nightstrike gently set down Emerald's body and the specimen container, then removed the Odin Orb from her pouch again. She waited for Kat, AIko, and Unknown to squeeze out of the crevasse before she attempted to get in. She could only get partially in before it narrowed and her armor caught. But it was enough for the light of the Odin Orb to shine on the drones and for her to be able to lay one eye on them. "Follow me." she commanded the drones.

The drones did absolutely nothing. It was like talking to a wall. They stood huddled together in the same corner most not even peering to view the newcomer with the other orb. Glen was starting to follow aiko , helping heartseeker all the way. As aiko led them down a corridor , there was a very audible smashing sound...then more gunfire, a roar of somesort, then another very audible smashing sound....It all happened within a few seconds...but it was alot closer than the last sounds of gunfire. Another tremor shook and the more dirt and debris fell. Thats when Aiko saw them....4 of the wolfmen hybrid creatures just came around the bend they were heading.
[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] charged the wolfmen, fighting with strength and speed and precision if not much training or technique...

Aiko slammed into the pack that attempted to tackle and grab at her..Her strength alone was enough to fend off the group that were surprisingly weak. They were still driven to kill , but seemed lacking in rage and ferocity...as they tried to grab hold of her, shed just toss them aside and against the wall.Her enhanced reflexes and superior strength seemed more than enough to handle the group. As two of went down , not to get up, the other two tried to focus thier meager attacks at her legs, in an attempt to drop her.
Kat tried to throw another ice-slick under the wolfmen's feet, hopefully causing them to fall repeatedly for a moment or two, leaving them open to Aiko's attack and that of anyone else who was able.
Unknown was about to charge in when Kat made the ice slick. Now she was more careful as she went forward and attacked one of the wolfmen. Her Crystal blades making quick work of the beast.

Luca shook his head to heartseeker, "I can't right now; I'm too far drained and need a much stronger source of light to recharge than anyone here can produce."

The meager attacks by the wolfmen were met with a strong defense. They were dispatched easily....Another tremor struck and down the hall a brute went flying by at the intersection.It could be heard thudding into the wall and sliding to a stop. "Try that again you bastard and ill break you in two!!!" a voice from the opposite side yelled over. Then there was more chaos....the sound of a gun and then a slamming of flesh into stone. then another body went flying, twisted and obviously broken. Steel came from around the bend ....he glanced at the group and smiled...."Heya guys..i understand you need a ride"...with that he turned and was jumped by another wolfman from behind. He grabbed the beast by the head and flipped it over his body like a toy. When he slammed it against the floor it hit with a forceable impact like it had jumped from somewhere high. "Heel doggie"...he said to the mangled corpse....The sound of gunfire errupted behind him and bullets came in striking him in the back before ricocheting off and into the stone walls. a few past him completely and the group heard the sounds of the rounds whizzing by thier heads..Steel got angry again and grabbed the corpse of the wolfman and heaved.....it flew down the hall and knoked into the two drones firing with automatic weapons. he then picked up a sizeable chunk of the wall that had collapsed and heaved it after like a toy."Thats the end of them".....he said and slowly approached the group. When he noticed heartseeker he immediately ran up and grabbed her. Being only 5ft tall she was taller than he was, but he easily lifted her over his shoulder . He hadnt noticed emeralds body yet as nightstrike was still in the room the others just exited. "this way" he told them...
Pocketing the Orb, Nightstrike drew her left pistol. She'd heard what Unknown had said about it being a mercy to kill the simple beings now and spare them a slow death of suffocation or dehydration. Sighting in, she dropped six of the drones with precise head shots, reloaded and dropped another six, then reloaded once more and killed the last two.
Nightstrike extricated herself from the crevasse, hoisted Emerald's body back onto her shoulder, picked up the container with his head, and trotted after the rest of the group. She caught up just as they finished the fight with the wolfmen. Another hero had joined them and he was carrying Heartseeker. She stepped up to Glen and spoke in a neutral voice. "I couldn't get the drones to follow me, so I made sure they won't suffer."

When Steel saw Emeralds body...He was shocked at first..he let out an audible gasp , then focused again at the task at hand. "Ok i cleared a path out...." although it wasnt as dramatic as he stated...he was over emphasizing as the anger in him was boiling up at the sight of his dead friend. Glenshadow felt it too, but he knew they had to get out or theyd al be buried. Another tremor shook and Steel started back on the path he came in kicking any debris in his was , sending it flying. He even kicked the corpses of the already defeatd enemies. He was angry and this was his venting....Hed come up on a defeated drone and hed just hurl it down the hall.
Luca carried the child as he followed the way out, watching Glen carefully. He attempted to calm the frustrated hero with a spell of healing light, but he was distracted and heavily encumbered.

Sister Flare assisted Nightstrike in putting the drones out of their miseey, executing them swiftly with blazing bolts fired from a flaming mini crossbow. Nodding to her and simply trading her a understanding glance at the respectful treatment of Emerald, she the moves to support Heartseeker and Glen as they are perhaps the most vulnerable right now, which she emphasizes.
"I will take point, recover your strength."

Glen was stubborn when it came to aid....With Steel carrying heartseeker easily, he thanked sister flare for the offer...but was starting to show the rage from losing a member of the team, and a good friend. "I'll tell her when she wakes up" he said referring to heartseeker. He knew she had no idea of what happened and she was probably closer to him than any of them. She had brought him into 3A with a reccomendation and since then the two of them had been a great pair. They dealt with countless foes and survived many a close call...but now. "Let's not give out too much detail" Glenshadow said again after learning she had something to do with it as well. "I'd hate for her to have to carry that burden around "
Steel was making good progress...there was no resistance.He had dealt with any remaining guards or creatures on the way in and the rest just seemed to scatter. Not ahving anything giving them orders anymore most just dropped where they stood, or left altogether.
At this point the group would be arriving at the large spiral ramp that led out of the place. The tremors that came shook the whole place hard and bits of wall and debris would fall around them. They werent at the bottom of the ramp, only one floor below where the surface team had entered. Steel moved heartseeker to his other shoulder and she began to stir..."Where am i?..Steel? is that you?" she was asking. "hold on hun..lets get out before we go through a sitrep"...he answered trying to be sturdy in his voice but it still came across with pent up rage at the loss of thier friend. He and sister flare were up front leading the others out easily...The group trudged along as best they could being so tired and exhausted from the events they just wnet through. Sister flares help in leading them out did not go unnoticed by steel. He was so angry that he wasnt always paying attention. Her guidance helped keep him focused on the task at hand. When they arrived at the top , the giant flat blast doors were already opened. The one that had a hole burned through it was pushed aside and left a very large opening to easily climb out of. Steel had made sure when he got here that theyd be able to get out easily as to not be trapped in case of the worst. As the sunlight hit the group, Steel sighed loudly. He motioned to the large Truck he 'borrowed' from the airport to get everyone out and back. "Theres our ride"
Kat, who had no idea of the dynamics of the rest of the group, still kept her distance from Steel, who was clearly either angry or just very violent. She brought up the rear, keeping watch behind, making certain nothing else surprised them as the weary group reached the ramp and began heading up to the surface and freedom.
[font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] continued forward, using her force shield to deflect the debris away from the wounded and the newborn. On arriving at the Truck she helped them to enter safely.

The baby started to squirm and cry upset as she responded to Glenshadow's anger. Unknown came up near Luca "Maybe she's hungry, we need the sunlight or another energy source. It would also mean her growing would be slower now she probably used the extra energy to heal heartseaker."

As steel and the others emerged the sun was beating down and the heat was oppresive. Glenshaodw sheilded his eyes as the transition from the complex to baking bright desert forced him to squint even trhough his dark glasses. Steel placed heartseeker in the cab of the truck so she wouldnt be anywhere near emeralds body. He then looked over at the two buggies that brought the others here initially. "Anyone taking those?" he asked the group. "Or is everyone riding in this" he said as he climbed in the truck.
"Sorry, but all I took was what I drank, and that was mostly evaporated in the fight. Kat may have some... And I will take one of the buggies." [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] moved briskly over to the nearer buggy and looked for the ignition...

As she walked into the sun she sighed "Ahh much better. The sunlight is so pure here." The baby settled down again once Luca walked into the sunlight as well. "You know I can take her off your hands now Luca."

Kat silently fished out her last bottle of water and passed it to Luca, at the same time subtly dropping the temperature around those standing near her. A small eddy of fog formed around her sneakers, but she didn't push the 'AC' effect much more, since it took effort to maintain it.
She stayed out of the others' ways,climbing instead into the rear of the truck, where the temperature began to slowly cool.
Nightstrike solemnly handed Emerald's body and head off to Steel, then climbed into the back of the truck. She pulled her helmet off and swept back her sweaty hair, then pulled a clear tube out of the helmet. Setting the helmet between her feet, she took several draws off of the tube, which led to a small Camelbak between her shoulders. Tapping several controls on her left gauntlet keypad, she directed her jet to land at the airport, near the team's transport.
"Who ended up with the Jord Orb?" she asked once she'd found her voice.

"I do," Kat replied calmly. "I'll return it to Roxi, at The Daily Grind. That was the job."
When Steel noticed everyone was aboard he started the old trucks engine. A cloud of deisel smoke errupted from the pipes and the big machine started to move. He went straight to the airport all the while thinking of how to tell the person next to him about emerald. Glen sat silently as Aiko drove the buggy . His thoughts were on his friend as well. He was happy to have the devices used for so much carnage and evil in thier posession, but he hated the cost at which they were obtained. "some days i hate this f ' en job" is all he said as they drove over the dunes.
Luca gingerly handed the child back to unknown, then accepted the water and proceeded to gulp half of it down. Immediately the paleness in his skin subsided and he appeared stronger. At last, they had arrived outside and he was further recharged by the sun's abundance. With his original dapper tone, he turned back to Unknown and Unknown Jr. to comment on the sunlight, "It's actually not the purest in the world, but a close second. The south pole is the only place I've found to compare."
He set himself in the buggy and looked about, growing stronger in the sunlight every minute. Luca looked around with passive interest in everyone getting situated.

"From what I understand the poles are very cold and covered in ice and snow. It would be very inhospitable for us there." Unknown was back into the woman guise holding the baby. "I think I shall call her Crystal."

Moving to wordlessly sit upon the buggy with Luca, her expression is unreadable as she speaks.

The job now complete, Kat kept to herself n the back of the truck, awaiting transport back to Titan City and a chance to settle up with Roxicon. She fingered the tightly-buttoned cargo pocket containing the small book she'd found, the one with the sword embossed on the cover, and waited to see if she'd be getting a teleport or a plane ride back to the U.S.
As the convoy arrived at the airport, the sullen faces of Glenshadow and Steel spoke volumes without saying a word. Heartseeker was carried and placed on a cot where steel tended to her. Jayde had a stern look about her and she walked about just wrapping things up. " We're leaving in 2 hours" is all she said to the group trying to remain focused on getting things ready. Steel after having a conversation privately with heartseeker then started to go about the business of loading things up. With his strength, he didnt need help, Glenshadow was on a private call back to Blue as heartseeker sat up and just stared at the floor. "We'll see you soon " Glen said as he hung up the phone. "everyone coming back on the herc be ready to rool out in 2hours ok?" he said loudly after that.
Those heading back with Steel and others would be aboard the giant plane now as it headed home. The mood inside was a somber one. Heartseeker was up and walking about , even after glenshadow filled her in on Emerald's demise. She took the news in stride, on the outside at least, she didnt want to show too much so she stayed stoic and robotic. She sat in a seat by a window and just stared out into the vast openess of sky. Steel and jayde were in the cockpit flying the great machine and barely said anything. Emeralds body, along with his head was placed in a bodybag and left n the back storage area. The others were waiting for them to arrive home.
Kat kept her distance from the others and pretended to doze, although she wasn't really asleep; she kept track of any activity through slitted eyes. One might think she didn't trust these people, but really, she didn't know them from Adam, so not trusting was only prudent. Fortunately, most seemed preoccupied with their own issues.
Sighing she looked down to Crystal. "I would have to have a more stable life, for her." She fiddled with her pocket and produce the ID "Sandra Rose. Age 32. That's who I am now."

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] wasn't preoccupied so much as considering. She was sure there had been another reason for destroying the museum. And so while waiting to leave she had called her parents. When she got back, lessons would begin, both for martial arts and piloting the Gooney Bird.
She would come back, and whatever secrets had been buried in the museum would be brought to light.

Nightstrike coordinated with the small mercenary group, all of whom seemed a bit frosty towards her, but that was to be expected. She was going to fly on ahead and keep an eye out for Jotun to make sure he didn't try to ambush the group at the civilian airport where they'd be landing. She took off just after the Herc and quickly outstripped the cargo plane, disappearing into the setting sun.

Sister Flare simply sat cross-legged near the back of the plane, in solitude, eyes closed in meditation as she awaited their arrival at the airport of Titan City, currently having a conversation with the Council of Elders within the Ember Coven, who currently debated the mission with opinions as varied as their namesake. Formed of three scribes of their history, three former huntresses, and three advisors of the craft, they convened over the greater actions of their operatives, and were currently debating this mission within her mind.
"That entire team of mercenaries should be EXECUTED, they witnessed too much!" Screamed a Huntress.
"Nonsense, they simply acted as well as anyone could in that situation, and recovered two of the Orbs!" Countered a placid Advisor.
"The orbs be damned, discretion should have been used!" Retorted a second Huntress.

The travel was uneventful. The large plane lumbered its way back to titan city and was coming in for a landing at the older airport Roxi had received permission to do so, As its giant wheels touched down the loud screeching noise woke Heartseeker who had finally fallen asleep. The plane taxid out to a strip and turned and came to a stop next to a huge hangar. Steel throttled down the engines and then shut them down. Jayde was first to exit the pilot chair and headed back to the others. She walked over to Heartseeker and just put a hand on her shoulder then went to see how the others were fairing. "She's adorable" Jayde said as she looked at little crystal sitting there. Then she headed over to aiko. "Roxi's waiting outside for you" she said with a lower tone. Then she hit some door controls and the back of the plane opened. When the ramp touched down, Blue was standing there with Syl. The two of them waited for the rest to exit the plane. Roxi was in the Hangar waiting for the others as well. Syl went immediately to the Cargo area where Emeralds body was stored. As soon as she Found the body bag, There was a flash and she was gone. Heartseeker stood up and turned around. Seeing blue she started to get teary eyed and walked very fast towards him. She through her arms around him and just sobbed for a few. Blue did his best to comfort his friend. Jayde came down and joined the two, and eventually walked Heartseeker away and into the waiting silver SUV. GLenshadow came out and came over to Blue, his arm was in a sling with the wound he had suffered , catching the shrapnel in his shoulder. He walked up to Blue and the two just looked at each other in silence. "It wasn't your fault, you coundt have saved him" Blue said to Glen, breaking the silence. "I know, I'm just worried about her" he replied nodding to the Suv Heartseeker sat in. "She brought him in and the two were always together". Blue looked over at the vehicle, "She's a tough one, She'll be ok".
As the two were chatting another silver Audi suv pulled up and Lilly got out. "Syl said 2 hours" is all she said to the two men. Then she walked up to glen and placed her hand on his shoulder. The healing auras stitched his wound and left barely a scar. She kissed Glen on the cheek and smiled. Then went in the plane to see if anyone else needed her assistance. By ow Steel had exited the cockpit and was heading out of the plane. He joined Blue, Glen, and Jayde At the bottom of the cargo ramp waiting for the others to emerge.
Sister Flare walked silently off of the plane as soon as the ramp was lowered, giving the entire group a respectful nod before speaking softly to Blue, pullling him gently aside as not to cause a stir.
"Should 3A ever need my assistance again, please do not hesitate to contact me?"

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] stood and picked up her pack easily. Too easily. She set it on the seat and looked at the palms of her hands where the heat of Jotunn's Orb had scorched the plastiskin. The skin showed no sign of damage.
She looked at the back of her arm, which had taken the brunt of Sunstroke's attack, the plastiskin melted and burnt and cracking after it had solidified... It, too, was intact.
She was still checking for any sign of damage when she stepped off the ramp and walked over to Roxi...

She was happy to see her, and glad she came through pretty much unscathed. " It looks like youve been through a rough go of it" she said noticing the burns marks on Aikos clothes and the small tears and such. "But otherwise you seem unscathed, Am i correct in assuming this?"..she asked.
"Unscathed, but not unchanged," answered [font=lucida bright]AIko[/font]. "Healing is not exactly in my design specifications. But I seem to have done it..." She opened her pack and pulled out the Darkwael. "This, at least, won't be causing trouble for a while."

With a WHOOSH and a blur of motion, a man in a sleek white outfit with orange trim appeared on the runway near the plane. Emblazoned on the outfit from the man's right hip to his left shoulder were the words REDLINE DELIVERY SERVICES. He reached over his head and pulled a slender bag from between his shoulder blades.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for a Mr... Glenshadow?"

Roxi looked at the old tome. She ran her hands over the old cracked leather binding and the odd symbols on the front. "Now that this is not in the wrong hands..It'll be placed in care of someone who can appreciate, and respect it." she paused . "Our original recipient isnt going to be happy when we tell them they are not getting the tome, its to powerful we beleive, and dont want a similar incident. " She tapped her datapad , as for the orbs. You have one i beleive, and Kat has the other. " She got up and retreived a bottle of Ginger ale from a small fridge behind her. She made a gesture offering one to Aiko as well. "We know of someone who would be interested in the orbs and whom we trust very much" she corrected herself "people whom we trust say we can trust him with them i mean." she handed Aiko a small card with a name and number "We can deliver it to him, or if youd like, we ask you do so" The name on the card said Ron Bolton, and had a number to reach him." As for your compensation we started to duscuss before you even went to the warehouse, you have yet to tell us what it is you wanted "..she waited for Aiko to reply.
Glenshadow heard his name and spoke up ..."Yes? can i help you? "he said to the courrier.

Luca had kept quiet through the trip, opting to take his time and meditate on the plane. He checked on Crystal a few times toward the end of the flight. He made sure that Sandra had his contact info. Finally, he turned to the members of 3A and made sure they had his card. "Let me know if anything dark and evil comes up. I need to check in with my order."
And with that, he vanished in a flash of light.

Blue thanked Luca before he left as did the others. He added Lucas number to the list of growing allies. He was happy to have so many decent people who were willing to lend a hand in the future.
Roxi took in what Aiko said about Nightstrike and smiled some. "Then it is in good hands, we are aware of her and she will be sure its safe. " she sipped her soda, "This book wyrm, im assuming you trust them? Would they provide a safe haven for the tome?"...
Kat had skirted the others as they gathered and spoke outside the plane, and made her way toward Roxi, to wait until Aiko had finished. When she heard her name and mention of the orb, she stepped forward, shrugging off the backpack and offering it to Roxi. "Here's the orb, and you've got the book now. So, job accomplished."
Roxi turned and looked at Kat.. she smiled slightly and said " The payment we agreed upon is there" she pointed to a small metal box sitting on top of a crate against the wall. If opened it would indeed contain the jewels they showed her from day one. No gimmicks, no fakes, the actual ones she had agreed to. "We keep are word here " Roxi said as she collected the pack with the orb. "We also want to thank you for your help and want you to know we're here if ever needed, and hope we can continue our relationship in the future" She gave Kat a breif nod before returning to Aiko.
Kat picked up the metal box and pulled out each piece, checking for scratches or nicks (telltale signs of imitation stones). She cut a glance at Roxi as she did so, stating calmly, "Nothing personal, just business."
Lastly, she held the larger stones up to allow the sun to shine through them, and checked the reflections beneath. The reflections showed no different refracted colors - just the steady deep blue of the stones. Finally satisfied, Kat nodded, bagged them up in one of the small nylon bags from the knapsack, and stuffed them inside an button-down interior pocket of the loose cargo shirt.
EDIT: She saw, as she emptied the metal box, a folded slip of paper at the bottom. Opening it, she read it silently, then met Roxi's gaze squarely, and nodded once. "OK, then. I'll keep your offer in mind, if I run into something I can't handle."
That said, she turned and walked away, one hand on the hilt of her newly acquired scabbard-ed sword.
Looking at Kat's payment, [Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] suggested, "About half that much, since for me the conditions weren't hazardous. And gold or a direct deposit will do. And yes, I think the Book Wyrm's hoard is very secure. As well as having the 'hay in a haystack' problem for anyone who does manage to get in."

The deliveryman trotted over to Glen and opened his bag. "I have a delivery for you."
First, he pulled a tablet out of the slim bag, opened its protective case, and tapped a few buttons on it. He flipped the tablet around and handed it to Glen, then pulled a cylinder from the bag. "Sign the tablet, please. The stylus is attached to the inside of the case. If Glenshadow is your registered alias, that is acceptable."
Opening the cylinder, the deliveryman extracted a single long-stemmed deep crimson rose. The rose's thorns had been removed and it had a bulbous canister with water in it attached to the bottom 6 inches of the 24-inch stem. There was a folded note tied to the stem below the bloom. He also pulled out a small manila envelope. He let the cylinder hang from his arm as he held the rose and note.

Roxi made a call and a porter brought up a small box. He placed it on the table with a thud, and walked away. " we figured prescious metals would be the preferred payment of most" She lifted the lid and showed Aiko the contents, It was full of gold bars, stacked and even stamped with 3A . "thats slightly more than half market value" she closed the lid, "Will that do?" then she stood up , as for the tome, if you can see it finds its way to the book wyrm , we'd appreciate it.
Sandra Rose walked out of the plane, by now she had on blue jeans and a black top. She was also holding crystal and she looked at Roxi "My involvement has unexpected complications. I will no longer seek out the poisoner that tortured our former host, and now seek permanent employment as well as basic habitat. I seem to have spawned a second awareness. It's upbring will have to be my primary concern."

The picture was a small two bedroom apartment layout that was above the daily grind. "It has its own private entrance on the side of the building, and of course you could work the counter if youd like." She scrolled through the shots, of the rooms and furniture it contained. 'Or if youd like, Whitehold has a few units opening up, we could rent you one of those on a permanent basis"...She looked at Sandra now for a response. "Either way, you're help was greatly appreciated. " she smiled and added " of course your abilities can be even more profitable if needed".
"Well, if you insist on overpaying me, the least I can do is make a delivery for you." [Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] smiled as she picked up the box and put it and the book into her bag. Consulting the TC Transit website, she found a subway line that ran from nearby to Phoenix Plaza. "Call me if you need my help again!"

A low steady thrum began and those in front of the hangar had to look around for a few seconds before they determined what it was. The deliveryman was starting to grow impatient and his foot was tapping the ground at super-speed.

Glenshadow signed his name..As is, and then took the objects from the courrier. He was curious as to what they could be. "Who would be sending this now?" He thought. "Wonder what the note says?"...
The speed-courier nodded in thanks and sealed everything back up, placing it all on his back. Giving the group an informal salute, there was another WHOOSH! and he was gone in a blur.
When Glenshadow opened the folded piece of paper, he'd find a beautifully handwritten note.

Glenshadow read the note then showed it to the others. They all appreciated the gesture and were happy to hear another formidible ally was added to thier list.
After roxi wrapped up with all all the business, she wished Aiko well and thanked her again for her service. She then called a cab and made sure Sandra and the little one would be comfortable by making more calls back to the Grind. "yes, get them what they require and be sure they have all they want as well as need ok?"...she hung up the phone just as Syl reappeared. She then turned to Sandra and said.." a cab is on the way, it'll take you back to the shop. When you're there see anyone there if you need anything more ok?" she then handed sandra some cash to pay the fare, and leave some left over in case they needed something else. She walked over to Syl and gathered the rest of the group.
"We're ready" she said to syl.....In a flash they all were gone.
Somewhere in a location only known to them on a hill in the Emerald Isle they gathered around a grave site. The rain held back, but it was still overcast. The group stood encircling the simple tombstone that bore a name Sean O'rourke. The grave was outside a small church that was built ages ago. Time seemed to not change this place.
The other tombstones located here bore mostly Celtic names. A figure emerged from the church dressed as an old Celtic preist. The figure walked up to them and said
"He's home now"...then placed his hand on each of thier shoulders before returning to the building. Each of them said thier own personal goodbyes to thier friend and then stepped back for the next. Syl was last as she spoke quietly and quickly. She gave an ancient Kheldian blessing to a fallen warrier in her native tongue. When she finished, Blue spoke up..." OK all, we dont have time to waste, we know this isnt totally over. " They all looked at thier leader and understood. No rest for the vigilant. WIth that said, Syl transported everyone back to Titan city.
