Phantasm helped Jutan up. "This way" Jutan was recovering slowly "Lets... not trade... partners again." He led the others to where the body of the Lab tech was. "He pointed to the wall when I asked where the head honcho was. Alright Phantasm let me get Jutan farther away and you burn a hole through." "Right, burning and melting I'm really enjoying this job."

Once Jutan was clear Sunstroke pumped up the heat and started a steady blast at the wall.

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] ran her antivirus programs on the information obtained before sending it to all of the team's tablets. Finding the route to the power sink, she unplugged and started out. "Still the same rendezvous point planned?"

Nightstrike was about to start when they got the update from AIko. She checked the terminal to find the V-for-Victory avatar already on the screen. "Seems that I won't need to do anything."

She began poring over the diagram, looking for more direct-line routes to the main chamber or its door. Things like AC vents or electrical conduits.

Kat extracted her flash-drive and pocketed it again, gave Aiko a nod of respect for her hacking skills, waited as the info they'd found was relayed to the others, and then followed Heartseeker, effortlessly keeping up.

"Crap!" She wasn't too worried after all she was hot enough to melt stone and metal. It was just annoying. She switched her blast... and found out she was weakened it did take a lot to melt the stone. "I'm running low on gas!" Phantasm rolled his eyes "Well stick to your weakest attacks till you catch your breath.. or whatever." He then started shooting laser blasts at the Vampyrs.

Jutan Frost had catched his breath as well and was firing blasts of cold at the one that lunged at him. "Chill on this."

"We have two options at this point. There's a stairwell at the end of this hallway that will lead us down to the main corridor, where I think we'll be able to link up with the rest of your team. But that's the direction the creatures and drones have been moving in. They may be forming a blockade. The other option is the vents. Specifically, this route." she said, indicating the two different paths.

"You've been leading up to this point, Glen. What do you think?" she asked, looking over at the shadow manipulator.

"Phantasm these things are Vampyr can you boost the Ultraviolet spectrum... You know mimic the sun output." Phantasm shook his head "Not really I can only use what's around us Sunstroke the closes to the sun's light source, but her spectrum so random I can't isolate the right waves. On top of that I manipulate light not the solar radiation." Jutan didn't respond as he spun to blast a Vampyr with a chill spray. Followed by it's head exploding via a plasma blast from Sunstroke.

As Kat was taking another swig of water, the flaming creature burst past them. She formed a hasty soft-ball sized ice-ball in one hand, while the air temp around the group dropped abruptly, causing a thin haze of mist around her feet, and prepare to fast-ball strike anything else that appeared, or freeze it outright in a block of ice, if need be.

"The enemy of my enemy?" Kat replied, smirking. "Or just more potential enemies."

Sister Flare closely flanks Heartseeker, flaming whip now quietly coiled in her hands as she comments.

"Potential enemies or not, the orb must be retrieved and destroyed."

Luca nodded his agreement. "At the very least, rendered useless."

Immediately upon spying Jutan and his allies, Sister Flare internally growled, remembering the instructions from the Ember Coven should she encounter the villain himself...incapacitate and retrieve, or if all else fails kill to end his threat. Turning to Heartseeker, she speeaks barely above a whisper.

"We need to intervene now before he takes control completely."

Sister Flare herself first makes a gesture to the allies behind her to move in, before leaping into the room herself, drawing her whip back before seeking to tie it around Jutan's right leg and pull hard with hidden strength, hoping to burn his leg via the arcane heat and send him to the floor, before vanishing from sight in a wave of ash, cloaked.

Jutan is halted in his pursuit of the orb by a large wall of flame erecting itself before the orb, and behind him, Sister Flare stands erily silent, her blazing whip drawn, before suddenly shouting.

"Your existence on this plane is finished hyborean!" With that she begins her assault, lashing out at Jutan with the weapon, aiming to strike against his face and chest in unpredictable but precise patterns, hoping that an ally can get around or over the arcane flames while she keeps Jutan distracted.

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] cut off the input from her WiFi. Seeing the Orb fall, she sprang forward towards it at her top speed. She formed her force field into a ram to push Sunstroke aside, and reached for the Orb...

Sister Flare lashes her whip through the debris, shouting back as she morphs the whip into her signature blazing blades, as she taunts.

"No wonder your people abandoned you here, your weakness and insipid desperation would have shamed them!" She shouts, before suddenly collapsing the wall of hellfire in a wave of fire on Jutan, swirling about him like a twister of flame, briefly.

The fire bomb from before surprised him. He wasn't prepared this time however he was so he braced himself and charged through the fire "WEAK, I SHOW YOU WEAK!" He was mad with rage and attacked Sister Flare. Sunstroke still tried to do two things at once. Force Alko back by sheer force of Heat and reach the Odin orb.

Provoking Jutan as easily as she had hoped, Sister Flare reveals her ace in the hole as she wills the flames surrounding the frost giant to begin wrapping around him, tighter and tighter is it takes the form of chains, wreathing themselves around him in a attempt to render him immobile.

"As easily deceived as your race will be to defeat and thwart."

Sister Flare says nothing for a moment, her only response was tightening the flaming chains around Jutan before she speaks suddenly.

"Then we will deal with them in time, and this world has been 'doomed' in the past, yet we prevail. I suggest you cooperate, or your brothers will find you returned to The Nine Realms in body bags."

Phantasm stopped as the arrow hit. "Maybe... but witch one is it the real me." With that five phantasms appeared each one lifting it hand to fire what seemed to be laser shots. Only one was real thought and he was the only one to generate a real blast. Instead he made a flash bank of bright intense light and slipped into the next chamber.

Seeing sunstroke was still engaged with Alko and Phantasm seemed to either split... or split. He growled and struggled to his feet again slamming his foot hard enough to cause a minor shake of the ground. "You people can never work together. Killing each other I remember the Burning times when they sent any Witch or Super they found to the grave. If not by burning them by drowning. As many as you who will fight there be others willing to sell their world for their own lives." He then charged even with the Fire chains at Sister Flare.

Seeing Jutan charge Sister Flare, Kat stepped into the room, summoning every scrap of moisture and sought to cast a massive block of ice around Jutan, freezing him in place or at least partially immobilizing him.

She realized that even if she succeeded, the block of ice wouldn't last long, given the Sister's flaming chains, but hoped it would at least buy the Sister a few seconds in which to react.

Sister Flare handsprings back as he charges, grateful for his temporary immobilization as she allows the chains to dissipate, hoping to keep him tracked in that wall just a bit longer. Taking a moment for respite, she gathers her strength leaping out to the side as she calls out to her allies.

"We need to coordinate our attacks to take them out, Heartseeker, care to assist me here with the grandiose FALLEN giant." Those around her would note that she is projecting a ashlike image of herself in the area where she was in the way of Jutan's charge, hoping he will take the bait and charge forward instead of her new position.

Kat ruefully watched Jutan *absorb* her ice-block hold, and realized that if he was unaffected by cold attacks, indeed apparently helped by them, she was wasting her time on him. Instead, she turned her attention to Sunstream, hoping to freeze her in a block of ice instead.

The beams of light converged and had no visible impact on the Lucent Dawn. "You think the light can harm me? I was born in it!"

Light waves filled the room as the Lucent Dawn attempted to merge back into one. Each light wave took on a different frequency, "Oh you are an interesting one..."

"Seems we ran into an impasse. I can't harm you, and light can't harm me." He spoke to Lucent Dawn "I'm not as foolish or murderous as my hotheaded companion. Nor as driven as my Employer. Let me go. I shall fulfill my contract and then inform you of where Jutan and the Orb shall be. Consider it just another contract for me to fill. No mess no trouble." Phantasm was after all more of a thief and spy then a combatant but his eyes scanned the room ceiling for anything he could cut to cause a collapse.

Jutan Frost Slammed his hands together Hulk shockwave style at Sister Flare. He was adapting choosing to use more range like attacks, however in this form he doesn't have many options, and the smaller form be even more affected by that cursed hell fire. "Humans are insects even if this world nest is over run, there are countless other realities where they are thriving. The Multiverse wouldn't even blink if this world is snuffed out."

Sunstroke actually spun from the force of Kat's attack then it was a fight between the forming ice and her own core temperature. Okay it was fight time and thoughts of grabbing the Orb slipped her mind as she went into full Pyromaniac killer mode. "You Bitch!" She threw a plasma blast at Kat.

Nightstrike had moved on ahead of Glenshadow and found a thick grate blocking her way. Beyond it, the vent continued, opening up a bit more. She realized that she was looking at the vent system for the main room. Radioing back to the group, she told them what she'd found.

Nightstrike reached over her shoulder and drew her sword. Placing her free palm on the pommel, she reared back and jammed the sword through the grate. The mono-molecular blade sliced through the grate all the way to the hilt. Re-situating her grip, she cut a hole in the grate and then withdrew her sword. With one punch, she sent the grate skittering down the vent. She radioed that she was through the vent, then scrambled down it.

As Nightstrike moved out over the central room, it quickly became obvious that a battle royale was being waged below her. She quickly found a grate and scoped out the situation. Jutan was in Frost Giant form again, but a pyrokine had him wrapped up in flaming chains. A young girl had an Orb and was hustling it back towards someone that Nightstrike tentatively IDed as Heartseeker, judging by the description given to her. She did not see Phantasm though. Sheathing her sword, she withdrew four small cylinders from pouches and armed them.

From below, all that would be seen was an armored form exploding out of a grate in the ceiling and dropping onto Jutan's shoulders. The armored person slapped her hands onto the Frost Giant's neck and shoulders, then back-flipped off of him, drawing a sword as she flew through the air. She landed behind a lab bench, then immediately ducked. Over the friendly comms, a female voice with an English accent shouted, "TAKE COVER!"

Three seconds later, the four concussive charges she'd planted on Jutan detonated with a thunderous clap.

Diving out of the way and erecting a none too slow wall of defensive flame, she adds with a shout.

"Give this up giant, your outmatched, you've lost here!" Behind her wall, she motions for Nightstrike to move to support Kat, as she shouts.

"I can handle him from here, help her!"

Jutan reacted to Sister Flare remarks "Jotunheim, Didn't you hear me before. Jotunheim Already GONE! We just haven't been wiped out fully. Pets, playthings, We didn't come here three hundred years ago to fight. We were fleeing. The best place to flee too is Asgard. This world is just a branch closer to it on the Great Tree." That was when Nightstrike made her move. Jutan tried to get the grenades in time but they blew and he ended up face planted on the ground out cold.

At that moment, Penumbra dove through the vent and hit the ground, then immediately leaped in Sunstroke's direction. As he flew through the air, the shadowy mist trailing off of him gathered around his body and hardened into armor with a volcanic obsidian look to it. He plowed into Sunstroke's back and tried to sink his teeth into her shoulder.

Kat flung herself lithely out of the way of the plasma blast, rolled to her feet behind the nearest cover, and renewed her efforts on freezing Sunstream in a solid block of ice, hoping that cutting off those flames from air would weaken Sunstream for the others to take down.

Sunstroke didn't yield not in her nature nor did she back down when Penumbra came at her. She started blasting at him with plasma blasts. "BURN BABY BURN!" Phantasm looked back the way they came "Seems this issue is over. Jutan can no longer pay for my service." With that phantasm cloaked again and headed back the way he came. In the cage room he moved slowly avoiding any battle as he sought a way out.

Unknown dropped down from the vent as well and armored up as he charged for Syndra his crystal blades extending. There was no banter or any verbal warning he just came in slicing.

"No point, but the FUN!" She laughed as she turned up the heat against Penumbra then to stagger when Syndra's energy blast struck. Tuning around "I'm Fighting the Heroes you bitch! Help me I help you bla bla bla. Shoot me again and I burn you to the ground!"

Seeing that the her ice was having no more effect on Sunstroke's plasma-hot fire than it did on Jutan, Kat pulled out her 2-liter bottle of water, opened the cap and liberally doused herself with the water before grabbing another swallow.

Bolstered by the sudden if so very local rise in humidity, Kat picked another target, attempting to form a block of ice around Syndra hovering near the ceiling.

Sister Flare grunts as the doomfist makes contact with her chest, the snap of a rib being clearly heard as she buckles momentarily, as she hisses back to the man.

"For that, you only lose your hand, not your life...still debating the last one.' With that, she suddenly charges to tackle the man with hidden strength, intending to grip his now disgloved hand and embroil it in flames, hoping to char it beyond use, before rolling back, and stepping on it.

As Syndra ignored her, Nightstrike shrugged. Spinning suddenly, she swung the sword directly at Syndra's ribs.

Unknown moved to avoid the coming beetle before seeing it blasted with ice. The beetle wasn't a problem the ICE now was and Unknown hurried out of it's way. "They're being puppeted, they were simply a distraction." He heard Sister Flare yell out. "Then Where is the Puppet Master?" Unknown went for the creatures outside the door. Razer like blades extended. Then he remembered something Alko used at the Warehouse. "Alko... that EMP weapon you used on one of the choppers. Do you have more these things are packed tight should be able to fry a few of their microchips."

Okay perhaps Sunstroke does get a good idea "Alright I work with you capes. Either I fight beside you or I end up dead with you." Phantasm was having an easier time just carefully avoiding the mob of controlled minions.

[Font=lucida bright]AIko[/font] was about to retarget to the fist ready to intercept her, when Sister Flare intercepted the fist.
Hearing Unknown's call, she answered, "Get yourself shielded, or behind me! Five! Four! Three! Two! One!"

On "one" she started letting out pulses, trying to avoid hitting Unknown...

Unknown responded to Aiko by Melting and forming into the cat/lizard form he uses for fast travel and just rushed past her he even leaped up to the ceiling using that as a way clear.

Sunstroke moved to the hole where the horde was and started firing Plasma blasts. "BURN BABY BURN!"
