sorry that I've made several attempts to stay involved yet have personal life intervene. Long story short i spent a lot of time with my sick father. He made it out of the woods, but its pretty much put the group about 2 months behind schedule...

Is there still room for new recruits? I played CoH since just after launch, I played villains primarily for a while but around the time the auction house went live I played heroes mostly (or should I say, I played the market) until the end. Healing powers is what really defined the character of Amerikatt. Sure, she was faster than a speeding tram, more powerful than a Troll's body odor, able to leap tall fences in a single bound, and change the course of mighty puddles, but I loved flying through newbie and lowbie zones and doing fly-by healings. Nine out of ten times, I didn't get thanked, but that tenth person's gratitude really helped gloss-over the ingratitude of the other folks.
I was often the only healer on the team which, as a Peacebringer, was pretty neat (and more than a bit of a challenge sometimes ... until I was able to get the Incarnate AoE heal and then grind out getting it to Tier IV). I was very fortunate that my guildies and the members of my regular adventuring group were kind enough to shower Numina's Convalescence IOs upon me. Sometimes, I'd even get the odd bit of purple (*purrs*).
I look forward to all of us chatting more in the future (once "real life" settles down a bit for all of us).
We can never have too many skylights and sunbeams.
Oh, by the way, please ask MWM to make my scratching post out of Impervium (or Titan Earth's toughest material, anyway), please. That's the only thing strong enough to have a chance of resisting my claws (for a very short time, anyway).

Why don't we start with some proper introductions, for those of us who are Paragon refugees. Let's hear about your former selves; or if you had alt-itis, your favorite former selves.
My three favorite characters were:
>>>The Night Raven. He was the character I used most often. I mostly soloed with him, and I never did completely nail down what I wanted to do with his origin. My original idea for him was the he was mute, but but RP'ing that proved far too daunting.
>>>The Blue Fuze. While Raven was my favorite, Fuze was the character I put the most into story-wise. He was a an elec/elec speedster. At the start, he gained his powers during the Rikti invasion, when he was hit by a beam weapon while Synapse was rushing him to safety. This of course, made him seem like kind of a generic "Synapse rip-off" but I had his story mostly plotted out from day 1. As I RP'd with other people, it eventually became clear that it wasn't actually that he GAINED powers this way, it was that he was WOUNDED and his powers were LIMITED by the event. As it turned out, he inherently had the ability to mimic the powers of those around him, it just so happened that the weapon he was hit with scrambled his meta-gene so that he remained permanently "locked in" to Synapse's abilities.
This (or some variation of him) will most likely be the character I bring to this team.

The Hollows was the first truly dangerous zone most heroes encounter in their careers. Because of this, they often ventured into it unprepared. lacking both experience and a travel power, they often found themselves alone and surrounded by deadly igneous that sprang up, seemingly from nowhere. So, inspired by The Taxi-Bots, but taking a more pro-active approach, The HS&R team would actively patrol The Hollows, swooping down on heroes who were over-run by trolls or igneous. Nothing makes you feel more super than dropping in on a doomed team, throwing some level 50 shields on them, stunning/holding the dozen or so enemies in the area, rezzing a downed hero, saying "I think you can take it from here" and then flying away. :-)

Sounds like things are starting to take off maybe for fun we should post what type of character we will be starting off with I'm definitely going guardian at launch always loved playing the healer.

The Titan Legacy - Defender of the Inner Flame
I'm hoping that I'll be able to approximate the type of character abilities that Amerikatt had. She was classed as a (single-form) Peacebringer, and, with the help of guildies and my regular adventuring group, I was able to develop Healing as an art form.
I'm planning on taking on the role of Secondary healer. I want to be able to do solo adventuring, but still be able to provide quality healing in the special way that's the hallmark of The World's Mightiest Moggie!

I had the most experience (and fun!) scrapping and tanking -- I soloed a TON due to erratic play hours thanks to Those Meddling Kids (tm), with numerous unplanned AFKs in the middle of a spawn. So I guess that means it's a coin flip between Gladiator or Bulwark to start, and then allowing altitis to take its inevitable rampant course :)

Took the survey. I like the futuristic idea; because I dig the thought of a "Hall of Justice" deal. The comic book store was second, because c'mon, superheroes in a comic store? It's just so meta-tastic; I love it. The corporate tower...eh; to me that works better for a lone hero than a team.
Just my 2 cents.

Am I the only one who liked the black monolithic building?

Going back to our theme I liked the two skyscrapers. I voted for the black over futuristic because I like it being lower key. Although I do think the idea of a super group having a comic/gaming store is a fun concept, I didn't think it worked with the existing story and background .
