Just wanted to share these because I (finally) found my photos of Scarlet Striker. The first image is a crap Photoshop recoloring job made by me and the other is an official art commission. Shame the artist designed Striker with more of an adult's body and made the black areas of the suit with more gray than I had wanted, but I still like it nonetheless. Hopefully a look similar to this is to be achievable once CoT goes live.

Well, im not sure if there are any still left around, so i'll wait for a confirmation one way or another.
Okay, so this was actually a fairly recent topic I was discussing with a friend on Discord and it was in regards to super-team member limit. I bring this up because it caused me to think back on Generation T here and think should there be a membership limit even if it's temporary? Right now we have around 10-to-12 members that range from people involved in the RP(s) currently to those that expressed interest in joining the team at a later date. These people (so far) include: Aegis Warden [b](hasn't officially joined yet)[/b], Blind Edge, Blue Cloak, Broach, Fathom, Hauntress, Malevolent Twilight [b](Hasn't yet joined in on RP)[/b], Nagual, Scarlet Striker, Sparrow, Starlight [b](Player status unknown)[/b], and Trifecta [b](Player expressed interest, hasn't joined in on RP yet)[/b].
Excluding those that are yet to join, that effectively puts eight members that make up what could be the 'core' team. In other words, I guess this is just a very long-winded way of asking: 'Should we allow more people to join if they ask or put a halt on recruitment so there's no need to get lost in the management of the super-team before CoT is to launch?'

Hmmmm, you could break it into two teams that operate under an same general name. An small supergroup perhaps?
That might make it easier to handle via having the team leader (GM) break up the folks into two operating teams. On the other hand it still may be hard to manage for 1 GM. I am not sure what to do about missing members or the new ones.
That was a thought that ran through my head. Especially since there will be the ability to make Leagues, which are when two Super-Teams are joined together. In case such as this it would probably be best to have more than one leader. Two max for now given it's a pretty tight-knit group for the time being. One for the main team and one for the sub-sect team.

Gen T North and Gen T South, perhaps, ala Teen Titans, or Alpha and Beta Squad Perhaps?
I do agree with capping recruitment for right now, so we have an established core team, as too many cooks in the kitchen eventually makes a mess.
As far as official membership, I would say that if not actively posting or joining in the thread, that some kind of indication of their status would be helpful as to make sure things don’t die out or get stagnant.
Not to mention that the idea of this team is street-mid level teen heroes, the more members we invite the more we risk detracting from the theme.

This was actually the exact thought I had in mind. I've been in similar superteams that would have this premise of being street-level, teen heroes and would invite more and more members, eventually causing for the original theme to become lost.
Plus, several benefits I see with the capping of recruitment is that ideas and brainstorming would actually be heard by those involved in the team. One of the problems I tend to see with larger groups is that communication can become lackluster after you bring in too many people. Another is that there won't be a need for co-leaders, at least not yet, for a group of this size. One big frustration I would encounter in the past is the argument of "Who has more authority?" and it would just spark heated debates in superteam chat channels and such.

Just posted! If anyone wants to introduce one of their character’s rescue victims, powered or not, feel free in the IC thread.
Note that Keeling would have attempted a sick form of gift giving with the induction of their powers, tailoring it to what he believed to be their desires based on a invasive psych profile and extraction of data both medical and psychological/psychic.
Example A: A child abuse victim and teen with an abusive father in bullies is given the abilities to make their skin hard as granite and super strength, in order to give them the power they ‘deserve’ over their enemies.
Example B: A runaway and young girl who flees from her problems and hard decisions may receive a teleportation power, or perhaps bursts of super speed or invisibility.
This is also a IC way to give OOC control to you guys to decide what abilities, if any, your character’s charges get, and leaving it open ended.

Hm... Just gonna pop in here, if that's alright and say that if you're aiming for street-level teens then you may not want Aegis Warden joining, since he's much like Captain Marvel in that he's someone too young being granted far too much power that they know what to do with. I am, however, still happy that a dedicated group of teen heroes is still looking to be a thing. If I come up with a more appropriate concept for Gen T, I'll shoot you guys the info, but for now I guess Aegis Warden would potentially be an outside friend down the line if he and the group ever cross paths.
I'll also continue to read the RP as it goes because it's pretty entertaining :)

That's fair enough. Sometimes it's best to not have a 'big gun' that's comparable to the likes of Captain Marvel or Superman, takes away from the intensity of an RP. It would be cool to run in Aegis at one point if possible, who knows what the future may hold.

Wanted to say I've read the whole thread and I've enjoyed everyone's characters the whole way through. My main guy is 18 or 19, college student, but your group is hitting the limit it seems? Might be to old anyway heh. Regardless though, keep up the entertaining work ^_^

I would say an hour after he was brought in, as I imagine they were there for awhile, taking breaks, etc.
And a couple of minutes, it’s gradual, as to not build outright suspicion but it’s clearly a meta phenomenon.

No worries, and sorry for the late reply. She would, and for those with enhanced senses they would be able to tell the second it starts, but pinpointing where it is emanating from may require someone to mitigate the effects of the pheromones, as it might be overpowering.

Just so you know, Kate's scabbard was designed so that it could be used as a melee weapon. How it's reinforced is yet to be decided, but current frontrunner is that it's made of some type of super(naturally) strong wood.

I MIGHT be able to pull something off...I generally take outlines off of a drawing tutorial site and edit heavily as needed....im currently working on Samantha's out of costume look using the same model. If you can give me reference pictures I can probably come up with something...dudes are generally easier than chicks since they are more linear and less...curvy...worst case I send you the pic and if you dont like it just be honest, it wont hurt my feelings none! =)

no no no...i cant take money...im a crap "artist"...and since i do TECHNICALLY trace the main frame it would be morally wrong even if the end result is technically my own work since the edits and alterations to the main frame. Also...I have been reading "hauntress" as "huntress" and EXTREMELY confused by her name vs powers...then finally read it as "hauntress" and was like "OOOOOH duh...that makes PERFECT sense!"

Her powers are kind of nebulous, I really hope people don't mind that what she can do is pretty ill-defined. I figure if a movie ghost can do it she can too. I try to balance it by her not really being that great in straight up combat.

Not sure how the hospital's air system is rigged. I'd expect there to be some way to isolate areas to limit the spread of airborne pathogens. Maybe filters between areas, maybe separate air systems. But an open door works well enough, I think, to keep the air pressure high enough for everyone to breathe.

Should build endurance and raise her stamina levels! >;D
Not EXACTLY stamina/endurance...its the massive energy dump her powers cause mixed with a stupid high metabolism that comes with most speedsters (needs a massive amount of calories, sleep, and water)
She needs trained in energy management, melee training, and blocking out emotions/thoughts without the help of an inhibitor

I was just thinking if her body could endure more punishment and get used to pushing past the strain, she could raise her personal bar over time. Just my line of thought is all. :) mileage may vary.
It's possible, but figuring out how to safely raise said bar is where the struggle lies...her bio dad could run for hours with little issues but he had training that she hasn't had, her adoptive parents are completely mundane peeps so can't offer it. So for now the girl eats 12k calories a day and sleeps 10-15 hours a day if she has done extensive power usage.

You may have noticed my inactivity. Well, I regret to say that for I must drop out of the roleplay due to being busy in real life. I'd love to continue, and I might later, but right now I'm caught up in work and other commitments on top of wanting to start my own company and writing a superhero universe of my own, which kind of takes energy. I wouldn't worry Hybrid, my life too is messing with my motivation to right more RP.
I have a bug themed hero on the work based on being young, he is typically inspired of Spider-Man by the whole young boy with arthrophod based powers but different certain ways. Matthew Morton has the ability to mimic almost any arthrophods. Might call him Skitter or The Bug.

I was actually kind of thinking that they don’t have their official name yet, but that comes maybe after the big rescue and maybe during a short news interview of the team at the scene?
Like it’s something that kind of just came to them and the media made it stick?

The portal is inside the window, from floor (or about two feet under that) to ceiling (maybe a foot beyond) and about 11 feet side-to-side. The floor on that side is about even with that of the Hideout on this side, but Broach made sure there isn't anything under the floor that takes poorly to being portal-cut.

Hey!
I was thinking, looking over the character roster, I noticed how we don’t seem to have anyone with ranged abilities, save for Broach and Hauntress.
With those two being more utility based, I was wondering if more of a balance was needed in terms of maybe a member or two who had some sort of ranged ability set or something?
This is of course more a observation and question than a request, but I was curious as to how you guys feel the team should operate in combat?
