Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

runes for devices, like you put a ruin on the ground and it's a magical effect when it activates, maybe have the various drones you can have be things like pixies, or imps or tiny golems, maybe even one where there is no drone visible and it's just you making the effect happen. Also I needs me some gun kata, especially with massive melee.

For devices I fully expect it to contain, with time, anything that can be represented as a ground placed effect not just mechanical ones. I also expect that at launch we'll get a few from each major "discipline" (science, magic, psionic), and hopefully those will be very distinct from each other.

Magic runes for devices would

Magic runes for devices would be good. Maybe generic light orbs/wisps instead of no drones, since I think part of the reason that drone powers would be drones is that they'd be targetable by the enemy. More the Force Field Drone from CoH Traps than the Targeting "Drone" from the Devices manipulation set.

How would Psionic Devices work? Purple (/chosen color) bubbles on the ground? Not nay-saying it, just trying to visualize it.

Perhaps a 'mental construct', like a pyramid or cube? Perhaps a plush toy? Or something that looks like a discarded pom-pom, just a pile of 'foof' on the ground.

Think more towards the energy construct route, though that would work for magic and science as well so I guess the only thing that can be really unique for psionics is the "energy texture".

I feel like this would go in the animation category. For the "Snipe" move on ranged attacks. I woud love to see various stances, rather than just the power stance with one arm extended and the other supporting it like in CoX. I would love to see some stances where you hold both hands by your side and thrust them forward, or cup your hands kamehameha style and then do the blast. Or if you have a spear weapon, you go if a Javelin toss stance, do the wind up and throw. Another idea would be a slow spin toss for throwing a sheild. Lots of options!

It's Lost's crazy animation

It's Lost's crazy animation wishes time! Today I have a few off-the-wall requests for specific powersets.

Grit (also possible with other sets with several toggles): Shifting. Obviously this would be a far future setup, but if I turned on a toggle and my character buffed up in response that would be cool.

Lethality: Throwing knives or axes. Could also be hammers for force blast.

Vampiric Emanation (And other debuff sets): precision ranged attacks. A movement penalty would be a shot to the foot, a accuracy penalty would be a shot to the eyes.

Force Control (and other sets that place objects): Devices. One of the example powers is 'reflective barrier', and I just like the idea of a gadgety character throwing a self-deploying wall.

Other than that, I want pipes as melee weapons. One handed, two handed, polearms, staves, with or without bends on the end, pvc or metal, pipes are just my favorite improvised weapon.

I’m actually really hoping I’ll be able to do this. I would love to create someone who blasts from fingers (and palms when using more powerful skills). Didn’t realize I was inspired by Frieza until you mentioned it. My childhood has ingrained itself in my subconscious.

For blast sets, Blast like Cyclops!

One big eye beam, not two like Superman (like CoH had, but also two eye beam, but preferably with thicker beams), and blasting. Maybe even reaching up to touch the side of the head. For all the levels of the blasts maybe :o Someone who uses the same basic animation on attacks but they last different amounts of time O.O

The blaster points a rigid

The blaster points a rigid arm-finger at the target, there's a massive rumble and screen-shake as the attack is charged. Then a colorful butterfly 'poofs' into existence at the end of the pointing finger and flutter-flies towards the enemy and everyone laughs, nervously. The butterfly lands and kisses the target on the nose, then there is a titanic explosion! It obliterates the butterfly, the nose in question, and everything else within AoE range...

The crowd goes wild! The Blaster bows acknowledging their clever 'stealth ka-boom' power, and the camera shifts to the next demonstration.

This made me think of something and I apologize if it has already been discussed. Aesthetic decoupling, emanation points, animations,.... sound effects?

I ask about the sound effects because two powers with same animation but different time lengths would likely sound different too... of course that part is likely hard baked into the animation I suppose... just curious.

I'm not sure MWM will be officially bothering to give us multiple sound-based options for customization. But if they do end up allowing us to do client-side modding (like was possible in CoH) then it might be possible via that method.

I think I'd prefer each animation set have one really good sound set, myself. That does come with the downside of maybe the sounds are annoying to some, but I'd still prefer it over an animation set having six slightly wobbly sound sets. It's also a matter of demand: even if a game did offer multiple sound sets, I likely wouldn't worry about it too much, not like I would animation sets.

For those people that do honestly hate some sounds, hopefully there will be some client-side mods for them.

I general I agree with you. Right now I can only think about one exception and that is what I call "bard sets", that is sets where the main aesthetics lays in the sound and not in the visuals. Having a guitar, violin, harmonica, flute, and so set that all have different enough visuals to be visually distinct is imo more work than needed.

Right on. My sonic/sonic Corrupter was so much fun to play, but there was only that one scream sound available for it. And I apologize belatedly for all the people who teamed with me so many years ago. Luckily that gawdawful screech it fit my aesthetic perfectly as a mandragora, but if I had been playing a boombox-carrying hippie, it would not have fit it at all.

(OMG!!!) I just looked it up online, and there was a mod someone made to change the Sonic Attack for a Defender to sound like a harp, not a screech. How about that!!

As a traps/sonic defender, same. Some of the sounds were really cool (howl and shockwave)... and then there was shout. That said, I think that if the set is attached to a boom box prop, it likely won't have a generic sonic set screech. I more suspect that sound effects will be attached to props when appropriate, so you can have a sword or hammer with a set and it makes the right sound.

Riot Games has a hero called Sona for League of Legends.

There are some DJ skins of Sona that would be PERFECT for City of Titans. I would love to play one of these for a sonic character:
Some of the riffs from this video could even be used for power effects sounds

and some of the visuals from this video would fit just fine in CoT.
