Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

Jai nodded firmly at her assertion. "As I said, your secret is absolutely safe with me. But I will spread the word to some friends that there's a new PI in town that needs work. Will your abilities require any sort of special requirements for your apartment?" he asked as the elevator dinged upon reaching the 17th floor. As they passed 1701, the door had a Landlord sign on it. He led her to the first available apartment, 1703.
It was a tall and wide open space with floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out onto the Downtown cityscape. "When I commissioned Whitehold, I decided to try to capture a different living experience with each floor, even though it sometimes gave my architect fits. The 17th Floor has 8 of these converted loft-style apartments. They have 15-foot ceilings with numerous skylights, balcony upper rooms, and one hell of a view. In case you're wondering, the reason these apartments can be so tall is because this floor is actually the 17th floor and part of the 18th floor. The rest of the 18th floor is designed for our smaller occupants, those that don't exceed 5 feet tall. Feel free to look around."

"Holy shit," was the first thing that escaped Gail's mouth once she finally found her voice. "Sorry...just really wasn't expecting this."
She sat her suitcase upright and set her duffle bag on the floor beside it. Her footsteps echoed through the space. In her head, she was already thinking about what she was going to do to fill up the bare space on the walls, to furnish the space. She was in love.
"This is much better digs than the efficiency above my office back home..." She turned away from the gorgeous view, her lip curved in a subtle grin as she looked back at her landlord. "This is perfect. Like I said, powers really aren't that showy. Just need space to practice, something that's definitely in ready supply here..."
Jai grinned at her rather obvious love of the apartment.
"Well, I guess I don't need to show you any of the others. If that's the case, I'll walk you through using the modification interface to do things like harden the walls for when you're practicing or even create new walls." he said, stepping over to a small panel near the door that could have been mistaken for alarm controls.

Gail stepped over to the panel, and couldn't stop herself from reaching out and pushing a button. The room darkened as a wall came up to partition the room. She let out a low whistle, then pressed another button to lower it again. She fiddled about for a few moments, flipping through the different settings, watching as walls hardened, rose and fell.
"...maaaan, can't even imagine how much it cost to set this kind of thing up. Do all the apartments in the building have controls like this?"
"Yes, they do. It's an experimental replication system that I agreed to test for a friend of mine at no cost. At first, it was only installed in my apartment, but once I got the kinks and bugs worked out, we installed it in every apartment for endurance and variation testing. If you're uncomfortable with this, I'll disable the system. If you don't have any other questions, I'll leave you alone to get sorted. If you have any problems or concerns, my apartment, desk, and cell phone numbers are in this welcome package." he said, handing her a thick manila envelope from the folder he was carrying.

Gail opened the envelope enough to glimpse at its contents. "Naw, it's fine. Any issues if a friend of mine experiments and tweaks it a bit? She's kind of in to that sort of thing."
"I can speak with the inventor and see if he is comfortable with that. Please don't let her 'tweak it' until you've heard back from me. Any other questions?" he asked, smiling.

She held up three fingers in a scout style salute. "Scout's honor, won't let Padma muck with it till the okay is given. Do you have a policy about advertisements being placed in the lobby downstairs? I'm real classy, with printed out tear off tabs and everything."
He smiled at the salute. "We've got bulletin boards for that in the lobby and the roof atrium, which houses the communal garden and the fitness center. As long as you can find a pushpin, then feel free to post your adverts. If you've got a couple on you, I can go ahead and take care of that."

"I haven't printed anything up just yet. I'll post them in the common areas when I do."
She glanced at her new digs, and gave a contented sigh. "Can't think of any other questions right this second." Which was a rare thing, that was for sure. "If I think of anything, I'll hit you up."
"Then I'll get out of your hair. By the way, welcome to Whitehold." he said, engulfing her hand and most of her forearm in his own hand, then shaking gently.

It was rare to see Ron at the Whitehold pool. Part of him still felt he shouldn't be seen in just shorts, self conscious about his undead appearance even after five years. One thing to show his face another to be in just trunks. Today however was one of those rare times when he just wanted to enjoy time in the water. So there he was sitting in the bottom of the pool relaxing.

About 40 minutes after Jai left, there was a jovial knock on Gail's door. Outside stood one of her new neighbors, Sam Beckett. In one of his hands was a fresh-baked pan of dark chocolate-chip brownies. After knocking, he peeled a corner of the plastic wrap up and waved the scent of the still warm brownies towards the door. He then put the plastic back into place and checked his watch. He'd called Sarah to tell her that they had a new neighbor and he was going to greet them. She'd said she would try to get off early, but emphasized that she wasn't making any promises.

Sam would be able to hear the energetic if not slightly stressed tone of his girlfriend and longtime resident of Whitehold further down the hallway, wither a phone to her ear in one hand, a tupperware container of a warm batch of mashed sweet potatoes currently holding aloft her sliding purse in the other.
"For the third time Mr. Strand, my assistant emailed you the case notes and my annotations on it this morning. Like I expressed earlier, I will take care of them when I get back to work TOMORROW, we're ahead of the deadline I set for this case-NO, I don't believe we have to worry about that at the moment-Just make sure Hugo-YES, my friend, not my 'client' is comfortable for tonight. Goodbye." With that, she sighs and lets the phone drop into the open zipper of her purse, and is now able to carry her container and purse with two hands.
Making her way to Sam, she greets him with a quick kiss before laying the tupperware on top of Sam's, taking a moment to fit her purse properly on her shoulder by it's strap before taking the food back with a smile. "Sorry it took me so long, traffic was awful, some kind of flying hypno-beard was stealing coats in Aurora-I will say it has some great taste in regards to wool. How was your day?"

Sam kissed Sarah back and smirked at her encounter with the hypno-beard. He'd had his own run-in with the bizarre creature a few months back and would have gotten whammied if he hadn't dove behind a mirror in the nick of time.
"It was fine. We had to make a retrieval in Pyrebrand territory today. They'd stolen some kind of experimental accelerant. Its developer believed that if taken with a dose of Chaser, the effect could be even more potent. But we got it out of there before they'd even got the van back to whichever hideout they were headed for. Strand still giving you a hard time? I could go rough him up if you want." he offered, jokingly.

A knock came to Sam's and Sarah's door. It was Ron fresh from his swimming a damp towel hanging from his neck and in boxer trunks that had skull and crossbones pattern. "Hey I heard someone back from that business trip she had."

In Hypatia / Goldenrod's apartment everything was in place nothing moved or disturbed. Well all but the image of a man dressed in 17th century outfit sitting in a chair reading one of her books in the Mirror. He was only in the mirror the book he was reading was right where it should be only the reflection of it was in his hands. It was Joshua Basarab aka Sandman's brother Christopher Basarab.

The man set down the book... and it's reflection vanished and reappeared to mirror the real world one as soon as he let go of it. "I'm sorry M'lady it been a long time since I been able to read any new literature. I simply couldn't help myself. I am Christopher Basarab formerly of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth thought I seem to be that nations last member." He smiled a bit his voice did have that old english accent "It seems I was lucky to have had good tutor way back when to learn this lands language."

After a time I was able to learn a few magical tricks of my own. I did have... what year is it now? It had been a long journey back to the States, Marcus was exhausted. All he wanted to do at this point was get the key to his new apartment and take a nap before getting re-acclimated with the big city. He made his way to the front desk, locked eyes with the receptionist and in a wary voice said, "I'm Marcus Newcastle Graves, I spoke with you on the phone about renting a two bedroom apartment?" The receptionist briefly look up from the computer screen screen, slide him a key. "Yeah, I was told to expect you. Your parents already had your furniture and personal effects moved into your apartment. You're umm... room 306. Welcome to Whitehold Apartments Mr. Newcastle." He mumbled half-heartily. The receptionist immediately went back to whatever he was reading.
Marcus took the key and made his way to the third floor. "Room 306... home sweet home I guess." He said to no one in particular as he turned the key and opened the door. His folks had furnished the place out with some fairly nice furniture, they had even stocked his fridge. "Leave it to mom to think I still can't take of myself." He chuckled as he grabbed a drink, flopped down on the couch and flipped on the TV. Marcus began to drift off after a few minutes while the news droned on in the background.

"I'm afraid there isn't that much to tell. I wasn't really studying the design he drew on the mirror. You see I wasn't the intended target, it happened in a hunting lodge our father owned and one of the maids had vanished. I went there to ask my brother if he knew what happened when I heard screaming. I rushed in and she was tied up to a X shaped device the mirror was in front of her with designs drawn on it." He set down his empty glass and it shimmered to be a true reflection of the one she used.
"My brother was so focused on his chanting he didn't even noticed me. I rushed to the woman and untied her when there was a flash, the woman ran off with out hesitation. Me I spun around in time to see the mirror had gone black and just the circle like drawing glowing. Next thing I can recall was the girl running off and me being caught in a wind drawing me into the mirror."
"I don't know how long it was but when I regain sight I was in the reflection of the room and my brother was at the Mirror looking at me." He shook his head "It was three weeks later. He had his men in the woods, he told me they killed her,, after having their sport. Even my efforts were thrown in my face. He seemed to have made it look as if me and the maid ran off together even shown me letters written in my Father's hand disowning me. After that time was spotty, seems my new reality and yours don't quite mesh. If I leave the reflection even to go to say the mirror in the next room. I could end up taking years and instead of the one next door it be some other land. Very little for me to tell where a Mirror I see matches one in the real world."
"At first there weren't that many Mirrors I could use. Seems it has to be what you would call a modern Mirror not just polished metal. Even then I have trouble with different quality and if there was magic involved. This mirror I noticed when you used it for surring and so it was like a beacon lighting up. I also could tell that it was near where the Mirror I was trapped in is now located."

"Hmmm, it could be worse. Most of the spells I know involving mirrors will work with any surface you can see an image in, probably because silvered glass wasn't available. This implies that the spell itself is modern. Relatively speaking, that is. Metal-backed glass mirrors are described in Pliny the Elder's [I]Naturalis Historia[/I], although those were gold leaf... I'll be right back."
Hypatia left the work room, then came back with a small lockbox that she had opened. She set it on the table and pulled out a document. "The mirror I'm currently seeing you in was made in Burlington, Vermont - that's to the northwest of here, not too far away - in 1878, by 'reduction of silver nitrate'. According to the antique dealer, that method only goes back to 1835. Although, I'd not be surprised to learn that an alchemist had made his own mirror, or restored one made with metal leaf that had worn off, with that method and just kept it secret."

Sarah smiles brightly as she catches sight of the deadman walkin' and her teammate, hugging him briefly before stepping back. "Did you scare anyone away this time when didn't resurface after your dive?" She smirks back to Sam.

Sarah smiled as she replied, setting her bag down gently as she regaled. "It went very well, actually. Having stood at the door for several minutes without an answer, Sam shrugged and turned to face Rott, his arm settling around Sarah's waist as she spoke with the zombie. "Well, I don't think the new neighbor is home, so why don't Sarah and I head back to our place, then I'll pop out to grab the beers to go with that pizza?" he asked with a grin.

Marcus awoke about 45 minutes later, the TV still droning about the daily grind in Titan City. He wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth and slowly got up off the couch. "Hmm I suppose I should walk around and get acquainted with this concrete jungle." He said with a slight smirk on his face. "But first I think I'll grab a smoke. I wonder if there's a roof access? He mumbled as he locked his apartment behind him and started heading up the stairs.

Sam opened the door and waved Ron in, a grin on his face. He led him through the open floor-plan apartment to the table, which was just behind a ring formed by a sectional, love seat, and two chairs facing a huge widescreen. Sam helped Ron lay the pizzas out, then retrieved the beer from the freezer. He'd gotten three different bottled six-packs made by Dogfish Head, a Delaware brewery, that were popular in Titan City. "Here we go."
He turned towards the balcony bedroom and bath. "Hey babe, food's on!"

Ron set out the pizzas with Sam's help "I got a four Cheese pizza with the fancy garlic bread crust. A pepperoni, a meat lovers, and a Vegetarian." Of course he gets a plate with two meat lover slices and one of the beers "Ah a nice Lager, haven't had this brand I normally get Sam Adam's Boston Lager." He plops himself down on one of the chairs and took a swig.

Down Stairs Lobby.
"Sprite get back here." The young man called as he entered the lobby right after a small glowing .. pixie? Whatever it was it was vaguely humanoid with four dragonfly like wings and it's whole body was glowing white as it zipped around the lobby making musical chime like sounds. The young man was perhaps 18 or 19 dressed in the typical tennis shoes, jeans, T-shirt with Aperture Science logo from Portal 1&2. "I mean it Sprite don't embarrass me." Sprite zipped over and chimed at him "Yes I know you're excited, I'm too but we need to keep our heads." With that he looked to the building manager and gulped "Um... sir I'm interested in an apartment." Sprite turned blue and hide behind him.

Marcus finally found a rooftop access door, but much to his chagrin it was looked. He briefly thought about picking the lock, but decided against it. He thought it wouldn't be the best form to be picking locks his first day in a new apartment building... that is full of superhumans. He decided it would be much better to simply walk down to the lobby and smoke at street level. "It's a nice out today anyway." He thought to himself. He was about to walk out the door when he spotted a flash of white arc across the lobby and hide behind a 20ish looking young man. He took a closer look and saw that it had... wings? His curiosity got the better of him and he turned to the young man, "Hey kid, this is going to sound a bit strange, but is that... a fairy hiding behind your back?" Marcus had a look of confusion and entertainment on his face. Half expecting the kid to tell him he was seeing things.

"Ok, I got my stuff right here." He had in his hand a blue folder one might use in school. Opening it he removed his pay stub then he reached back to his wallet and pulled out his ID and handed them over.
Looking over his shoulder to the the arriving Mr. Graves "Yeah... she's kind of. Well it's difficult to explain, but my imagination tend to become reality. At least in a limited area and limited .. well limits if I say try to imagine Godzilla I could die. Sprite here doesn't bother me at all her being so small." "Got her when I was babysitting my niece. One to many Tinkerbell movies." Sprite seems also to be easily distracted for her being spooked by Jai was completely forgotten as she zipped over to Marcus and hovered in front of his face her body was maybe 2 inches long and did look very much like tinkerbell and she waved.

Marcus rubs his eyes one last time to make sure he isn't seeing things and sighs with relief. "Heh, its been a long flight home. I was just making sure I wasn't seeing things." Marcus turns his attention to Jai, "Surprisingly well, despite the Trans-Pacific flight. Hopefully the jetlag won't be too bad and I can get back up to speed quickly. Shifting his gaze to the young man and extends a hand, "I'm Marcus Graves, its a pleasure to meet you."

Downstairs Lobby
As it happens, some more rubbing of eyes might end up necessary as what could only be described as a hole in space proceeded to tear itself open in a thankfully unoccupied corner of the lobby. Within could be seen either nothing or everything, depending on one's point of view. Any sane mind would quickly decide it's best not to think too hard about that one. But regardless there it was, a completely impossible hole in reality right there in the corner.
Those seeing it would have little time to wonder at its cause though as moments after tearing itself open it spat out an unidentified flying object before just as swiftly sealing itself back up again. Said object wouldn't remain unidentified for long, being rather obviously actually a perfectly ordinary looking human but somewhat unfortunately moving at a rather less ordinary speed across the lobby. Thankfully for the landlord whose desk she (She? Yes, on closer examination it was definitely a she.) was aimed almost directly at, gravity took hold before she got there and a perfectly smooth flight soon became a tumble across the floor once contact was made, culminating in a soft thump as she came to rest against the base of the desk.
Thus slowed down to the point where one didn't need superspeed to get a good look at her, she'd be revealed to be a fiery redhead maybe a little over five and a half feet in height who could and probably would be mistaken for some kind of wizard. Between the belted tunic, the long flowing cape and the lack of anything resembling modern fabrics in anything she wore, she did kind of give that image.
Now one would think that would be a rather disorienting experience and perhaps it even was, but it didn't stop her from springing to her feet, taking in the scenery and then spinning to face Jai. "Hi! We're going to need a room", she informed him, in a voice that didn't quite match up with itself. Like she was speaking twice at once, the second time with a fraction of a second's delay. Quite cheerful though, as if everything that just happened was perfectly normal. Which to be fair, in a city full of heroes...

Jai had been quietly working on his end of the new tenant paperwork when a panel slid open behind the counter partition and a yellow light began flashing. He'd touched the button under the light and a small screen rose up and came to life.
The message on the screen was simple. WARNING! INCOMING QUANTUM SINGULARITY!
Jai was just reaching over to trigger the complex's defenses when the hole in space-time tore open and spat out the redhead. As she bounced to her feet, Jai responded to her arrival by activating a spherical Level 10 containment field around her. He then rose to his full height of nine feet and bent over to glower at the woman.
"You are trespassing on private property, young lady. If you want an apartment, you will first apologize to my tenants and myself. Then you will exit the building in a normal fashion via the door, wait a few minutes, then enter in a normal fashion via the door. Lastly, you will politely let me know that you are interested in renting an apartment. Only then will I consider that or any other request that you make. Am I understood?" Jai asked, his voice a dangerous basso rumble that vibrated pencils and other objects on the counter-top.

At the first sign of trouble Marcus pops his adrenal reflex causing a time dilation effect, at least from his perspective. From an outside perspective a normal person would see a blur of movement and Marcus suddenly on the other side of the room with his blade drawn. Marcus readies his blade for the first strike, but Jai was quicker on the draw and activated a pretty hi-tech containment system. "For an average looking place it sure does have some nice toys" He thought to himself, clearly amused with the situation. Especially after he sees that the mystery void walker is a fiery redhead who probably wouldn't even come up to chest level.
Sheathing his blade Marcus cools down and turns toward Jai, "Fancy timeout bubble you got there. This sort of thing happen often?"

"Often enough for him to have a fancy timeout bubble to use when it does", the mystery woman commented, still cheerful despite her current rather disadvantageous situation. "And sorry. We didn't really mean to intrude but time travel is a very inexact art. We're lucky to even hit the right century sometimes. But since we're here now, we really would like a room if you have any to spare." With that she turned and, after waiting for him to deactivate the bubble, calmly left the room. Anyone watching her would undoubtedly notice her leaping off the pavement and flying away, a trail of blueish-white energy left in her wake for a moment as she set about presumably using the desired few minutes break for something more constructive than hanging around on the sidewalk shooting the breeze.

David Smith (yeah took me this long to dawn on me that he didn't have a name yet) blinked as the woman came out of nowhere. Instinct kicked in and for a few seconds it seemed a Ghostly Werewolf was appearing before an alarm sounded from David's wrist and the creature vanished. David pulled up his sleeve showing a lower powered suppressor. Sighing he looks around seems he didn't need to imagine up protection after all. "Mental note don't piss off the Landlord."
Hearing Jai, David shrugged "Not sure what you consider sentient. She's connected to my subconscious like any manifestation of my mind. Not under my control but not a separate entity either. Think of her as a living dream. These powers gave me a lot of trouble in school when they started, a daydream about a school mate and..." and it happened or tried to for a moment a flash of a teenage girl undressing appeared before the suppressor kicked in cutting the power to the manifestation. "That happened just without the suppressor. Ended up getting home schooled for three years." He took the contract and began reading it over. "I heard there a government aid for Supers or does that only apply for those who are active Heroes?"
At the same time Sprite seemed to flicker as the power suppressor activated but being such a small manifestation she fell below the limit the suppressor set. Of course like before when the woman appeared Sprite flew away spooked and hid behind Jai this time. Then came back to David when the moment passed.

"Oh boy. Here comes the adrenal aftershock." Marcus thought as his hands began to shake. The comedown shouldn't be too bad I only popped in for a second. He sat down on one of the couches in the lobby not trying to draw attention to his moment of weakness. He pulls out a cigarette and an old school Zippo lighter with the motto "He Who Dares Wins" engraved in it. Before he touches the smoke to his lips he seems to recall something. Jai turned to Marcus, smirking at Sprite's fussing. "Please, Mr. Graves, do not smoke in the lobby. You may smoke in any of the designated outdoor areas, your apartment if you paid the extra fee, your balcony if you have one, or the sidewalk."
The big man sighed and turned to one of his problem tenants. "Mr. Kruger, it is the middle of the day. I'm sorry if your schedule is different from the majority of the other tenants, but you cannot expect them to tiptoe around because you are trying to sleep. As I've told you before, there are instructions in your apartments modification interface for soundproofing your apartment. If you'd like, I can show you how."

"Hmm, fair enough. And, please Jai. It's just Marcus." He said with a smirk as he walked outside to light up. He took a deep drag and blew out the smoke, puffing little smoke rings to amuse himself. "A good smoke always helps with the blow back after the adrenals wear off. At least the healing factor makes sure I won't get cancer from these things. Small miracles." He said with a chuckle. "At least I won't get bored with characters like this as neighbors."

The portal that opened up in the middle of the street in front of the Whitehold didn't look much like the tear that had opened in the lobby a few minutes earlier. But to those with the senses to assess such things, there where some similarities. Possibly enough that the formation of this portal might have affected the aim of the earlier one.
But this portal was a crisp blue-white circle that expanded to a diameter of just over two meters, and as a young human - or nearly human- woman stepped out of it, it collapsed behind her, vanishing in a flare of light.
The woman was about 170 cm tall, and massed about 61 kilos, although most of those who saw her now would think "five foot seven" and "a hundred and thirty-five pounds". Her platinum-blond hair was shoulder-length, she wore clothing appropriate for a late-summer day, although she didn't seem to notice the cold, and she carried two blades at her waist. As she moved out of traffic she pulled out a smart phone and looked around before looking at the phone.
"Hmph, three days lost. Could've been worse..." She spoke with a Kiwi accent as she called up a number. "Hey, Mum, it's me, Gunni. I'm alive and well, so Dad doesn't have to wreak complicated vengeance... Yeah, it was [I]him[/I]... Satnav says I'm in Titan City, Massachusetts... Yeah, might as well. I'll call later. Love to Dad!" She put the phone away as she looked around once more.

As another portal opened in the middle of the street Marcus simply sat back and watched. "I wonder who it could be this time? Friends of the redhead?" He watched curiously as a blonde woman stepped out and onto the sidewalk like it was the most normal thing in the world. "A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead walk into the Whitehold... I wonder what the punchline will be?" Lighting a second cigarette, Marcus decided to stay outside for a little longer, the random holes in space and time populated with cute women are as worthy a distraction as any.

She put her phone away as she heard Christopher and went back to the mirror. "Can you show him to me without letting him know we're looking?

The card she set on the counter had been issued by the NZ Transport Agency, had her photo (which showed her with a much shorter haircut), and gave her name as SWAN, GUNNHILDE SLAGFIDHRSDOTTR. Her birthdate was also there, making her eighteen years old. The back (if Jai bothered to look at it) showed she was fully qualified for cars and motorcycles, but not heavy vehicles. There was no address.
"I don't have the Certificate of Particulars yet, or my passport; I wasn't [I]supposed[/I] to be coming here yet." She sounded upset, but apparently with someone who was out of reach or otherwise couldn't be glared at in person. "I'll have to go to the consulate to see if I can get that straightened out... The pay stub is going to be a problem. Or maybe not. The only job I've had is a sort of apprenticeship with my father, I know he handled all the taxes. But my parents set up a trust to pay my university expenses, and with the scholarship to Ephesus that's going to leave a lot more money for housing. My dad figured it out, assuming five years of uni and not getting a part time job, worst case scenario, you know?" She brought up the message from her father on the phone, and held it out for Jai to look at. The amount for housing was enough for a studio apartment right next to campus. "That's in US dollars. He's also sending me money to tide me over until the trust can be unlocked."

Rotten finally noticed his phone vibrating. He took it off the belt clip and looked at the message. "Hmm Someone in a Mirror... Seems I be needing to go. Seems an associate of Contessa Nocturne up to something." He sent a text back [ Not sure, might as well give it a shot. ] "If ya two need me I be at Golden Rod's apartment. She got a Mirror spirit or some such thing."

"I don't know. Never really tried diverting a reflection. Hmm well I do after a mirror image just by being in it. There no you being reflected for instance and I can move the mirror reflected items. So I should have some abilities to change the image in some way." He stood up and closed his eyes thinking of how he seen his brother perform magic over the centuries and the Mirror he was in after all was used as a scurrying tool.
The mirror image rippled and changed much like if she was using it for scurrying again. The image that replaced it was Jonathan Basarab dressed in a pinstripe suit with a cracked Happy face mask. He was talking to a robot in a fireman's suit and a blue glowing young woman. There was something odd about how Jonathan appeared. He seemed to be standing in shadow even though he was out in the open, like light either avoided him or was absorbed by him.
Christopher's face appeared much like the man in the Mirror from Snow White. "See what I mean, the light... he isn't even casting a shadow. That something I never seen before. Nor have I seen the other two."

David got up and headed to the desk noting the blond. On his shoulder appeared a red man with bat wings, tail and pitchfork. Yeah it was a cartoon devil. "Hey baby want to come to my place and heat things up." David faced palmed and then flicked the Lil devil off his shoulder. "Shoo" The devil flew back into a wall and puffed into a cloud of smoke that smelled faintly like brimstone. "Sorry overactive imagination." David said trying to ignore the embarrassment as he waited to hand Jai the paperwork.

Hypatia cast a spell she'd used before, ensuring that what she was being shown in the mirror would be captured by the camera in her phone. A few quick taps on the screen, and the picture was taken and sent both to Goldenrod's email and to the printer in the next room, the latter of which started humming. "Too bad we can't see his face. But the lack of shadow is fairly rare." A chirp indicated a message. "Ahh, good. I may have a way into the mirror coming up."

Marcus flicked out his cigarette and walked inside to see who the new arrival was. He glanced over at the blonde, "Say what you will about the city life, but you can't beat the scenery." Marcus thought to himself. He began to walk over towards the front desk, "This must be a popular place! I've only been here half a day and we've already got three more possible tenants."

Ron grabbed another slice of Pizza on his way out of Sam's and Sarah's apartment and headed for Hypatia's. As he went he tried to think of how to teleport into a Mirror if that was even possible.

"Oh it not to bad I can take it off even. Right now what I manifest aren't dangerous, but if I lower the power to the inhibitor I be able to make much more powerful Figments. It did take time to get used to it when I am asleep." He rolled up his sleeve showing the device. "I nearly died one time when one of my dreams manifested. My body just couldn't handle the strain of that much energy. It was also the first time I did manifest... well on record I had smaller manifestations that I didn't tell anyone. Couldn't hide the fact Smaug appearing and exploding my house. Luckily the city put it's foot down and got the Insurance to cover it."

Suddenly a very old model of a volkswagon beetle yet one that looks as new as a car today and enlarged to fit a larger person than normal, parks in the parking lot of the apartment complex, and a large, old and slightly scarred minotaur covered in dieselpunk cybernetic parts and dressed like a 1930's era European immigrant climbs out, opens the trunk and pulls out a large suitcase. He begins walking towards the apartment building.

As she led the way she finished putting the fresh batteries into the lamp that was clearly a souvenir of a visit to the Statue it had been made to resemble. Ron would certainly recognize it, she was not sure about Christopher...
"Christopher Basarab, this is Ron Bolton. Ron, this is Christopher. My plan is for you to make a portal from [I]here[/I] to [I]there[/I], I step through, break the curse, and then Christopher and I both come out through the portal. Shouldn't take more than five minutes, if we can do it at all."

Jai looked up from where he was working on Gunni's paperwork. "Hello. I'll be with you in just a minute, sir."
If the presence of the minotaur phased Jai any, it did not show as he looked back to the paperwork and attached a few more green arrow-clips. He slid the papers to Gunni along with her ID and financial information. "Please read over this and sign everywhere there is an arrow-clip."
Jai stood and extended his hand to the minotaur. "Hello, Mr. Sven. I'm Jai, the landlord. We do have space available. I'll need some form of ID and proof that you can make rent payments, preferably a pay stub."

Sven shakes Jai's hand and then pulls out a small booklet from his back pocket and opens it revealing a passport, an ID card, several pages of personal information and a copy of a paycheck from his job as police officer. The passport doesn't show the name of a country from this earth but rather a place called "Minoslavia", under that however is a number representing an alternate dimension. "Is this enough?"
