It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Just give us sliders to

Just give us sliders to adjust the bodies of our superheroes the way we want them. If somebody wants maxed out boobs, super long legs, and an itty bitty waist.....fine let them have it. If somebody wants minimalized boobs, short stubby legs, and a muffin top.......great, go for it. Sliders are wonderful things and can solve tons of issues. Really don't see the need to argue this point.

I got chills! They're multiplyin'. And I'm losin' control. Cuz the power, I'm supplyin'. Why it's ELECTRIFYIN'!!

I thought it was obvious how we all wanted that. Part of the discussion is also will it happen, since last I heard from games with that many sliders, it makes making costumes harder.

The only reason I never made

The only reason I never made a fat character in CoX was that I didn't think any settings on the sliders looked right. (Just like they really didn't get proportions right for a child character. When Sonic came out, I wanted to make a character called Crybaby, but I was unable to make anything that looked remotely like a baby. I guess the winter event should have warned me!)

I thought they got the heavy look just right in SWTOR. My Sith Sorcerer was a fat Twi'lek -- not as a joke, but under the assumption that there was very little physical activity going on; mostly ranged attacks while my minion...er, companion...did all the heavy lifting.

Spurn all ye kindle.

I would figure that by now,

I would figure that by now, or in the next two years before CoT becomes an actuality, that computer programs and hardware would make that a much easier task than before. I understand that before sliders there was only one way to program a model and then attach layers to it, but now that sliders have been developed I can only see the programming adapting and becoming much better for that usage. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

What? I never said people didn't want it. I was replying more on the idea that people think it's something widely wanted. I disagree. I've already said I'm for more options.
But when people say "OH! It's in huge demand!" I think they're wrong.

Perhaps some of the confusion lies in how the demand for the "chubby" option has been characterized in this thread and over the years.

While I might agree with you that there has never been (and probably never will be) an overall majority desire for legitimate "chubby sliders" in the costume creators of CoH/CoT I must strongly champion the fact that it still has been a consistently persistent suggestion for these games for years. Despite my support of this issue I have never once started a forum thread related to it - I never had to. The topic independently resurfaced back in the CoH forums every several weeks without any prodding from just one or two diehard zealots. Heck, we can even see that being the case here in this forum with random "fat body" suggestions popping up completely separately from the debate raging in this thread.

Again the argument that "it's not worth doing because not enough people want it" becomes a fallacy when you go back and count how many things were added to CoH which weren't used by a majority but were still generally supported. It was commonly accepted by the end that maybe only 10-20% of the playerbase of CoH ever bothered to try PvP let alone get actively involved in it - would you suggest that the game never have bothered to waste the huge amount of Dev resources it did on the PvP systems of the game just because of that low participation percentage? Sure PvP in CoH had its problems, but could you imagine how many people it would have pissed off if they had just unilaterally decided to remove it from the game because "not enough people" were using it?

So even though it might not be "widely wanted" or in "huge" demand I would not be surprised to learn that the option for chubbiness is still probably one of the top ten overall costume system suggestions that never got adequately addressed in CoH. Considering all the other things the Devs of CoH "wasted" their efforts on over the years I would simply ask how long does a reasonable suggestion like this have to keep being suggested before it finally gets implemented?

Yes I've seen costume systems (especially in some of the newer Korean MMOs) which provide so many slider options that you could probably spend days just tinkering with one character if you wanted to. But even under those systems there's nothing that FORCES you to use any of those extra options. I suspect you could throw together a semi-random character in just a few minutes in those newer games just as easily as you could in CoH.

I contend a fairly workable "chubby slider system" could be devised for CoT with just a small handful of extra sliders... sliders which of course you wouldn't even have to touch if you didn't want to.

I'd have to concede that even in 2014-15 it would probably take a bit more than a Dev just snapping his/her fingers to make this happen in CoT. But as you point out software/hardware tech is always improving and it would be very reasonable to say that allowing for "chubby sliders" in a game created today would (practically by definition) be easier to do than it was back in 2004.

The big question of course is when something like this will become trivial enough so that the Devs of CoT could effectively "throw it in" without significant impact to the overall development effort. I suspect that even if we aren't there yet we are getting pretty close to the point where having options like these will be taken for granted as accepted default capabilities in any game.

I would say that it would take about as much work as sliders that affected "waist size" or "boob size".

Hell, it could just operate like a scale increase for the waist/chest/arm/leg thickness sliders....

That is how you could do a "fat" slider. The *hard* part would be to get it working proportionally.... but overall, that could just be something that would have to be done at the same time as the normal sliders.

As others might have inferred in this thread (or in others), although this has already diverged far enough away from the original premise of the thread...

Having something like this in the game, would mean that the developers could use it to generate themselves the "fat/thin/skinny models" in the character generator, which would in the end result in far less NPC Exclusive costumes/looks.

4) I have seen more intelligence from an NPC AI in TR beta, than from most MMO players.

Yeah I guess this thread did get fairly well hijacked. Perhaps we can talk about how chubby sliders might lead to questions as to how CoT might handle "jiggle physics" and what impact that might have towards making this game "Mature Only" rated. ;)

Well jiggle physics is asked for quite a bit too! Why let just the Asian MMOs have jiggle physics? :p

Wow. To be fair, I've never thought of jiggle physics as a question of national pride until now. :)
