Axe, I've used your cologne a few times, and have yet to have an attractive woman in a mini dress throw herself at me. Something wonky in production?

By any chance, do you have a wife/girlfriend/SO standing near you with a death-stare burining holes through any mini-dress-clad lasses that may possbily be on an intercept course? I suspect that's where my problem may lay.

I should say that Cinder

I should say that Cinder Flame (@sibylla) the aforementioned death-stare-equipped missus, is here, lurking as she did in the CoH boards (and pointing out every user she recognizes). She'll probably wait till I shoot my mouth off and say something particularly doom-worthy before manifesting on the boards to threaten me with firey destruction.

There's a reason why Chase's battlecry, ("Don't make me get my wife") really was the most terrifying battlecry possible.

Welcome Everyone!

Welcome Everyone!

So glad to see this family of gamers continue. I started playing CoH in April of 2004 under the global name FuzzyOne. I started play heavy into super group involvement, and eventually split off to play with a small group of close friends across the country. We are all very excited about the release of CoT, and look forward to reuniting in a superhero MMO that will recapture the spirit of the game that brought us together.

I put some serious mileage on CoH racking up level 50 heroes and villains on Freedom, Justice, Virtue, Champion and Pinnacle.

Everything I learn'd, I say I learn'd, I learn'd from watching Foghorn Leghorn.

I'm GladDog. I'm an OLD gamer, I've been playing computer games (non-console) since 1979. I resisted MMORPGs for a LONG time (the original Everquest busted up my Tribes clan, and I had a chip on my shoulder over that for a WHILE). But when an MMORPG came out based on superheroes, I had to get in on it! I was in beta and played a total of 6 years. I've tried Champions Online, DC Universe Online, and Marvel Heroes, and without a doubt CoX was the best of the bunch. If City of Titans really is the spiritual successor to CoX, I will be playing it for a long time! I'll be donating to the Kickstarter on my next paycheck, and can't wait for it to release!

I had 20+ characters on Justice, if they had a name that started with Glad, it was probably me. GladBurn and GladStrike were probably my most famous characters, especially GladBurn at the Hamidon raids. I was in a few SG's, but I spent most of my time in the Tempest Legion/Chaos Legion.

I go by GhostHack these days, but In the pre-beta days of City of heroes I went by "ADG" (The American Dreamgirl) and Tizane Bathory in Villains. In Champions online you can still find me as GhostHack... and I'll hopefully maintain the moniker here.

Temperus here, I played CoX around 2008-2010 but the villains melted my graphics card :/ just as I got the card sorted the game shut down.

I'm an aspiring comic illustrator so I'll be supporting City of Titans by knocking some pics out on a regular basis :)

I'm also working on a script for a mini-comic to get Temperus (my main and only lvl 50) from Paragon City and focus on Titan City.

Peace :)

Nov 30 is my B-Day, I started

Nov 30 is my B-Day, I started playing CoH shortly after it released in Canada (Early May 04 I think?). I left the game for a while and came back from time to time, then I started playing CoV and fell in love with EVERYTHING. Then they change to CoX and I loved it all the more, I went to play the day after my B-Day last year and was shocked to find that the game no longer existed? Now almost a year later I find myself thinking about CoX and decided to see what was out there and stumbled onto this TPP.

I honestly hope this stays with the feeling that CoX gave the player and if/when a beta is released I hope to get to test it out.

I truly miss the immersion and feeling that CoX gave to the player, I have yet to find another MMO that comes even close.

Ohhh, on a side note.... Hi! I'm Dev, I played Crimson Screamer in CoX. Not sure if anyone would remember me but ya never know LOL (DevArmaya was my IGN as well)

Hiya!

Hiya!

I'm McNum. I was McNum and @McNum in City of Heroes, and to my SG mates and close buddies in the game, I was "Rose" after my main Aegis Rose.

I'm happy to see so many familiar names here already. I really hope MWM can pull this one off. I miss CoH. It was sort of like a bad breakup in a way, if that makes any sense.

In any case, I didn't want to register here until I'd decided if I'd want to back this game on Kickstarter. Now that's I've done so, I'm pinning my hopes of a good city of Heroes successor on you guys. You have my money and my hopes. Please pull this one off, I want to see Rose fly again without it being just an empty shell of what once was.

Hello everyone,

Hello everyone,

I am Case Law, also a refugee of CoX. I apologize in advance for the lengthy post and for any typo, misspelling and grammar errors since English is not my first language. (French Canadian here). I rarely write on forums and this time I felt the urge to express myself.

So here are my thoughts:

First, I want to express my deepest thanks to all the players who banded together to form MWM and gave us hope again to one day have a superheroic home truly worthy of the genre.

CoH was my first MMO from open Beta right up to the end. I recall being a bit intimidated at first since I only played single-player games up to this point and I was unsure how the human factor would play out in an online game. I also remember my first interaction with the game chat window (I never chatted online before so getting to chat in English with all the contracted words and phonetic uses was quite hilarious at times.)

The Virtue server was my favourite escape from the hassles of my professional life. I played both male and female characters and roleplayed whenever I could.

I also suffered from a heavy case of altitis. When NCsoft pulled the rug from beneath our feet I had over 150 alts on Virtue alone (I’ll let you guess the number of accounts). Of these 150 alts or so, between 25 and 30 had reach level 50 and I was still playing most of them on a regular basis.

Every toon I made had been carefully planned with personality and background and I played them accordingly. In doing that I became more aware of the world we live in as my toons where inspired from all over the world, from various origins, and were very ethnic oriented. Therefore, just to write my toons’ backstories I often had to read a lot of material about countries and learn about cultural differences. I often got praise by fellow players

Aside from being part of a Supergroup, I had my own SG (with close to 100 alts in it) and a huge base I had patiently built. I was planning to use it to it for roleplay and a webcomic. It was near completion when the news came that NCSoft was shutting down CoX. Suffice to say that I was devastated.

Not only CoX was fun to play it also made me discover the imagination and writing skill I never really used. Despite the language barrier I started writing fan fiction and short stories about my SGmates toons and mine, and they were well appreciated.

While I played CoX I did try other games (Champions Online, Age of Conan, DC Universe Online, Star Trek Online, Star Wars the Old Republic) but gave up on them within a few weeks or months for various reasons :

- CO: Childish ambiance, many laughable foes, cartoonish graphics (worst for me being the baby face of the character creation) and cheesy voice over;
- AoC: Too much grind and gear centric at high level (still a reference for me in terms of character creation though).
- DCUO: Very bad combat mechanics (when on a PC) and terribly poor character creation and some no brainers like the absence of a day and night cycle (only day in Metropolis and night in Gotham);
- STO: Overall good design but terribly dumb space combat AI (all enemy ships fighting to the end like mindless drones with very few exception in scripted linked missions) and generic away missions often lacking taste.
- SWTOR: My typical example that good intent, great IP and lots of money will not necessarily translate into a great game:
pretty disappointing character creation;
static spawn points;
Boss camping required to complete some open world missions (Lame and utterly frustrating at times)
useless maps once you played through the content;
boring repetitive space combat;
overall terrible lack of randomness;
absence of day and night cycle. (Too bad it would have been fun to gaze at a binary sunset over Tatooine’s desert).

I’ve been MMOless for the past year (no other MMOs’ being capable to fill the void for me) and I still feel the sting of CoX absence. So, when I heard about the Phoenix Project sometimes last December I had a faint glimmer of hope. I kept watching now and then to catch news of what was in the works. Now, it’s a ray of hope that feels brighter every day.

I know there’s much to be done until we can set foot in Titan City but in the end I have the feeling that we will end up with an even better game than what CoX was and that it will avoid the traps where so many games have fell.

And yes I did my part by pledging on the Kickstarter!

So… Here’s to hope!

Hi all. I played CoH from 2004 til the lights went off and never really strayed from Champion. My SGmates and I have tried about 5 MMOs since, and none of them are remotely like home. Very excited to see this project lifting off, and so much communication from the Dev team. I look forward to a bright future with you all.

Hello, everyone. I've played

Hello, everyone. I've played CoX as Lin Chiao Feng from Dec. 2004 to shutdown, Tabula Rasa as Lanster from Sep. 2007 to shutdown, Tera as Amilyn from 2012-2013, and Star Trek Online as @ChiaoFeng from launch to present day, with a big years-long gap from the time they introduced dilithium until earlier this year. Looking forward to avoiding games with publishers that like to cancel them to get a tax break.

Would love to hear from any ex-Hero Dawn and AFS folks (hi, Gangrel!), and looking forward to working with the rest of you.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how much dough to throw at this game (can't afford the $10k level, natch) and how much time I will volunteer to the tech side. I'll wait until after the Kickstarter is over before getting into the latter, so the debs can let the dust settle a bit.

I've gotta admit, I really like what I see so far!

Hello all! I was @GIJenny,

Hello all! I was @GIJenny, after my main AR/Dev Blaster cyborg soldier. I played mainly on Freedom and Virtue, but with my chronic(possibly terminal) case of altitis, I had toons on just about every server. I don't remember what year I started playing, but it was only about 2-3 years before F2P, and I drifted away for the last year or so. I heard about the shutdown only the day after it happened, and was disappointed that I wasn't there with everyone at the end.

My top characters were GI Jenny, and:
Hearth Star: fire/fire troller alien bug girl that I played as a healer(her name was made to fit in a themed SG, Star Patrol)
Whipknife: 2blades/will scrapper
Back Alley Kitten: claws/SR scrapper on Freedom, stalker on Virtue
Mishmash: dark/rad defender, made to look like a Vahzilok eidolon
Needle Fairy: spines/dark scrapper

Well, with 13 hours to go in the Kickstarter project, I finally donated. =)

I was known as Lomyril on the Justice server of City of Heroes. My main was a level 50 Peacebringer.

For now, my forum avatar points to my CityInfoTracker badge count for my Peacebringer. I really miss playing him. I may change the image later if/when CiT starts to track badges for this game. I hope they do.

Meanwhile, my old character info is here: http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/98. I hope to see many folks from CoH in game!

Wild that there are so few

Wild that there are so few people here from Victory. Guess we didn't have the population I thought we did.

I was Kid Blackflame on the Victory server, member of the proud Legion of Valor - winner of the gamer-chosen Best Super Group Award at one point. We ran costume contests and scavenger hunt style things.

I started out with CoH, saw it through the release of CoV, then took some extended breaks later. I really felt gutted when unable to go back and keep playing my old toons again.

Here's hoping for a long and bright future for us all in CoT. Hope we ring in 2020 talking about all the great times we've had together! On a related note, we're setting up a SG....

I ran Global Heroics for a short spell, was around on any number of Hami runs and several of the raids in the last year or so. Most of my contacts were in Wild Cards, and later the Fusion Force crew. First ever Kickstarter. It's not just the IDEA of CoH, in spirit, living again (first MMO and all that), but the sense that this group is doing it RIGHT that brought me here. See y'all in game!

Sweet, this is an awesome

Sweet, this is an awesome intro thread. There are a few of you I recognize immediately:

Fenikas: Well, we were in The Pack together. No big surprise there. :P

The Fighting Canadian: I TOTALLY Remember you! Your character costume was amazing. =D

Thunder Puncher: I remember we were in a random group for a day, and you kept switching alts depending on what we needed, so I got to see Psy-Chic, Doc Phantasm, and Galaxy Gal.

Ktzza: You and I teamed up a few times when you played Back Alley Kitten. I think I even had you added as a friend. You were always fun to chat with as well.

Scrappy Cat is the character I mainly played. I was mostly on Virtue, though the first year or two, 2005-2006 or so, I was on Pinnacle.

My characters (names left to right, top to bottom)

Heroes:

Glory Wind (very top). Top row: Crimson Scorpio, Titanium Genesis, Scrappy Cat (Casual), Elven Bishop, Prime Spectre, Wyrm's Guardian. Bottom Row: Lid, Scrappy Cat (combat), (I forget this one's name), Befouled.

Villains:

Stone Golem, Cold Blooded Killer, Dr. Cruor, Mr. The Man, Mortifa (Evil Personality), Mortifa (Good Personality), Mr. Nice Guy, Electrical Havoc, Firey Assault, Leper Chaun

About me: I played since July 2005, on and off, but probably 2 years total subscription. I absolutely loved some of my toons, as you may be able to tell by me taking the time to set each one in the same spot, take screenshots, and hack the images together into group shots. I'm so glad I did that, it's most of what's left from CoX for me.

Other than CoX, I'm into Minecraft and do some moderate redstone circuits. I'm also a robot builder. I'm a co-creator of Electric Boogaloo, a 220 pound fighting robot that took 2nd place in the world competition in 2012, and at various points between two competitions has beaten ALL of the top 5 ranked fighting robots. See here for videos

By trade I am a machinist. If you don't know what that is, I do precision cutting of various kinds of metal for use as parts of industrial machines. It's a neat job. I get to work with computer controlled machines and robots that load pieces in and out.

I'm also a tinkerer. There's always some project on my mind of hacking something together, or creating something that you can't buy in a store. I do a bit of DIY stuff as well.

Solarblaze from Pinnacle here

Solarblaze from Pinnacle here.

EQ player, best was 66 rogue before I quit (I spent 26 hours on black Friday looking for group, only to just give up and quit). AC2 was nice, but had too many connection problems. Then a good friend of mine gave me a copy of City of Heroes for my birthday on 05/01/2004. It was the best birthday gift yet. Not having to fight over loot, no greedy raiding, and no trinity required. I was so happy. Then they took tanker's aoe taunt away and I feared the deadly Rikti blades being swung at my fire/fire blapper (so used to standing on tankers and not having things hit me). I can still hear the "shink" of those blades. Then ED hit, and I made do with it, finally giving into the fitness/hasten powers to keep myself alive and lasting longer. I had so much fun "bungee jumping" by using teleport on people from atop tall buildings... before they hit the ground. And then phase-herding missions just to unphase and hit inferno (hoping I would live), way before the phase nerf (30 seconds). And being introduced to bin-bombing later on. Plenty of hami-o's from Pinnacles' hami raids. I even got to tank hami using inferno, rise of the phoenix, and phase. I could keep agro as long as the tankers kept their distance and nobody accidently hit hami. Later I would be main healer for whoever was the tanker taunting hami, on my controller Kitty Phoenix. All back when Hami Bound (if my memory is right) was a busy channel. Even remember completing Positron's strike force back when it was said to be bugged very early on. Many of my friends went on to WoW, and I resisted for about a year after WoW released before I gave into peer pressure and started there. I have since earned about 15 90s and 8 70s on Durotan/Kargath in WoW. I've tried SWTOR and pretty much stopped at level 20 on my commando (still not into pointing guns at allies to heal them). Also Neverwinter hasn't held much interest after level 22 there, rogue as well. I still miss all my CoH characters. And I had just started enjoying so many of the Incarnate powers and raids.

I am very very impressed with all the art going into City of Titans. The power customization sounds awesome too. I am looking forward to playing.

Pinnacle Server - Solarblaze, Kitty Phoenix, Trinithia, Stellarblaze, Lunarblaze, Dragonblaze, Oceanna, Icicles, Stormblaze, Ionblaze, Phoenixblaze, Chaosblaze and many many more low level alts, usually with a "blaze" stuck somewhere in their names.

Pinnacle:
Solarblaze (Fire/Fire Blaster)
Kitty Phoenix (Fire/Emp Controller)
Phoenixblaze (Fire/Fire Dominator)
- A friend gifted CoH on my birthday, 5/1/2004.
I had never heard of it before then...
It still is the best birthday gift to this date.

You'd think, after all this time, I'd have kept track of these forums. Oops, my bad.

Hiya former Paragonners...

I guess Something else is in order for that intro. How about...

Hiya Titanians...

Much better.

Anyhow. It's good to be here and to see some familiar faces. Now that the first stage engines of the Kickstarter have fired, it's time to ride this rocket. Whatever else happens, it's going to be an interesting time.

Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.

*tap-tap* Is this thing on? Oh! Hi, everyone!

I'm Akili (also @Akili), hailing from the Champion server. I joined right around the Good vs. Evil edition, and CoH was the only MMO I ever stuck with for longer than a year, and intended to stick with indefinitely. Thanks to NCSoft being an entire department store's worth of tools, I'm hoping to make many new memories here!
I may also be recognized as Kunga, Jiona, Solar Maelstrom, or Isharai. :)

Just as I promised, with the KS closed -and WOW, did we ever do great!- I've switched my virtual self over here.

I played CoH from the day after Launch (my inner pennypincher demanded I wait until it was available at the store where I work, so I could get my employee discount) until the moment the servers' plugs were pulled. While I created alts on all servers, I spent by far the most time on Virtue. My global was @bouncingbeatnik, and, while I had tons of alts, you'd most often see me in Paragon City as American Idealist, and in the Rogue Isles as my music-themed mastermind, Johnny Fortissimo.

Some of those alts may turn up in Titan City. Others are too closely bound to Paragon, and shared its fate, whatever that may have been.

It's great to see so many former players. I hope to see all of you in-game in a couple of years!

Hey, folks. Dropping in; I've

Hey, folks. Nice to meet you all! I'm just dropping in, and introducing myself, as you'd expect.

I played CoH/V from ...mm.. May 2004? - just before i3 - to 2009 on Union EU-server. I eventually drifted away after a tempestuous love-hate, leaving-returning relationship of 2 or more years, when the the grind post i-13 and pre i-17 got to me, and after most of the EU community I'd become friends with had moved on - late 2009 I think it was. The last time I tried to return before admitting that the spark had died was for i-17 *sniff*... :p

I've reinvented myself several times over the years - I'm too comfortable with my RL secret identity I guess, so online personas never stick :) but for people who knew the Union community:

I was known as @Noir and played mostly as blues - my main was Velvet Noir (D/Regen) - with a few other notables and several lowbies, but I also dabbled sometimes as reds. I was a fairly serious badger, going so far as to collect ALL event badges, and as many as possible of the rest on all 20 of my alts, including the 4 reds. I helped out with organising Union Hami attempts back when there was no other end-game content, and tanked him on my main a couple of times after Li Sensei gave it up :). I briefly helped on the UBH channel when global chat channels were introduced before it died due to drama, and then helped @salacious run his badgehunter channel after that until I finally stopped playing.

If you got this far; thanks for reading!

Notable alt list:
Blues:
Diamond Mask (Emp/Psi)
Cold Front (Ice/Ice - later became Snowfall, barely played her after 50 except at request for end-game)
Glass Heart (WP/DB)
Shadowcaster (WS)
Shoshin (PB)
Sunrunner (Grav/Kin)
Sun Kali (Fire/Fire Scrap)
Reds:
Silk Noir (En/Nin)
Satin Noir (D/D)
Brittle Spark (Ice/Fire)
River Red (Elec/Elec)

Here's hoping for a long and bright future for us all in CoT. Hope we ring in 2020 talking about all the great times we've had together! On a related note, we're setting up a SG....

I doubt any one remembers me I started playing COX when COV launched and played on and off till the shutdown I was also around on the forums but I think most people just hated me for my spelling mistakes. Played mostly on Freedom, kinda odd that I haven't seen many other Freedomites around here, /em shrug.

Looking forward to seeing CoT and regaining some part of what was lost.

Hi everyone. @TiamatXIII and @TiamatXIV, mostly on Infinity, here. A bit nervous about posting, as I'm not usually much of a forums person, but maybe with Titans I can change that :)

My mains were Rinsha, Drachin, Pearl Edge, and Spark Blaze. Drachin in particular I got a lot of mileage out of, so there's a chance some of you may remember him from the approximately 10 billion Lambda/BAF runs I took him on. Hopefully if you do remember him (or any of the others), it's not because I was a notable idiot or anything. I had a ton of other characters on Infinity as well, and am looking forward to bringing at least some of them back in City of Titans.

Hi, I'm actually kind of a newbie, both here and back on CoH so probably no one here knows me. I am TiamatXII's friend and pretty much only played on her account. I'm not the dedicated, die-hard CoH fan that I suspect most people on here are. Honestly I had a really hard time playing CoH, what with it being my first real MMO after many years of only playing JRPGs (which I like almost exclusively for the story and characters).

So what am I doing here? Despite my difficulties with it, I could see how passionate the community was about their game, and even I had one special character on it. So if anyone on Protector (and, uh, whichever server I ended up on for the last day) ever saw a Peacebringer named Coronis Gloriannus around, that was me.

Hey All! Late to the party,

Hey All! Late to the party, as usual... Not much of a Forum hound, but thought I'd say 'Hey!'

I am a Superhero geek from way back and had always wanted a Superhero PC Game to play - closest I had was Freedom Force, which I really liked. i also remember that someone was working on a Champions PC game and I was pretty excited (loved the PnP game), but that game never came to fruition. Now, Champions Online, along with DCUO, are major disappointments (I don't even lump Marvel's train-wreck in with these two).

When I heard about CoX, I ran to it, missing the Beta and Opening Day by a couple of months. CoX was my first MMO and, to this day, is the only one I have ever played for more than a week - and I have tried many of them. I played non-stop to Sunset...

I had multiple accounts (five at one time), but ended with just three. I lived on many servers and max'd out the number of toons on three accounts for some of them - Freedom and Virtue come to mind. I am an admitted Altaholic with no real life. I actually took off work to take advantage of Double XP Weekend! What a Looozzzer!!!

My main Globals were Slap, Jinxie Kat, and Brother Wolf. I played both sides and had a few SG's, my fave being The Paragon City Harmony Project. I had plenty of numbers because of my alts, and a few close in-game friends and their alts.

I loved the CoX Community and can see that it is flourishing here. I am still in the midst of reading through the Forum posts to see if there is anyone on whom I might have run with.

Sorry so long-winded...

Have Fun!

Wow, reading all of these has made me so terribly nostalgic. It's nice to pick up a mantle again.

My name is Miss Virus - However I went by Miss Viris in game because I was bad at catching my own typos until my Dad pointed it out to me. I was just a kid whenever my Dad and I joined the beta and I practically grew up with the game until I had to quit around 2009. I returned off until 2010 whenever I had to quit for good.

My dad, Flytrap, and I both stuck pretty exclusively to the Champion server and could often be found running with our SG The Farstriders, or our allied SG Safe Harbor.

Miss V herself was a mind/rad controller who was infamously known as "the character that actually made Vengence useful" due to the fact I played like a tank and died every five minutes. I also was consistently at least three levels deep in debt up until level 42 or something. Thank gods for Mass Confusion!

I also had a level 20ish Mastermind called Anti Viris for irony's sake, and a much loved Brute called PoTater who was named after my cat.

Former Supergroup Member of The Farstriders and Honorary Safe Harbor member, hoping to relocate her old companions from the Champion server

Hello, fellow Titans! I'm

Hello, fellow Titans! I'm Skaar and I was, sadly, not in CoX. Or, well, rather speaking - I actually became a member of the CoX community just on the last two weeks before they announced the shutdown. :( Still, I have played and created my characters outside of it and tried my best to create my characters on both Champions Online and DCUO. I'm not super intro comics (though I do try and I own some, like Peter Milligan's run on Hellblazer, two of Gail Simone's take on Wonder Woman ( The Circle and Contagion) as well as five volumes of her Birds of Prey run. I had the option to buy the whole thing, but I was a bit low on money at the time. So when I wanted to buy the rest, it got sold out and then DC announced their New 52-line. /sadface

Regardless to say, I found out about the City of Titans Kickstarter through Massively, decided to support it and here I am! ... Although I did sign up for the Forums yesterday night and it has been a while since the Kickstarter ended. :V

Found you all by accident, reading through mmorpg site, still looking for a new home, found a post by Matt Miller, with a link here. I missed the kickstarter, sorry about that, if they get a donation link set up I'll make up for that. Still trying for get a handle on what the status of the project is. Mostly a Champion player, so some of the names are familiar to me, but, also played on Virtue, Guardian, Victory and because of the Tanker Tuesday runs at least a tank on almost all of the servers. Could ramble on some more.

Why hello there, Ms. Good to see another familiar face in the crowd.

Ah I still didn't introduce

Ah I still didn't introduce myself here, first off happy new year and a big hello to all.

OK Real name is Paul, and I am a UK based sound editor, musician, remixer and producer signed to various record labels. I started playing the games on the US servers when the game opened with my global name @cheatra, I started off with a few characters drunk master, cheat ra, hot tomato on Guardian. I then opened up a UK account for a few months to see what the action was like in daytime on local servers, I ground out a character called stixx to top level but couldn't find a home, I prefered the US servers. So I came back to the US servers and moved all my characters across servers so I could play them with different folks. I left for a year after I started to get bored of the game, but with newer updates to game I found myself coming back as it had become a much broader game experience. I played it out to sunset with a few characters called sherotica, sanshuei, hollywood man, but I had dozens of other incarnate characters I used to use for brief moments.

sorry if I rambled on a bit, I sometimes do that.

***Waves*** Happy New Year

***Waves*** Happy New Year all!!

Stormy Weathermaker here to wish everyone a prosperous new year!!

I started playing CoH back in April of 2007 and played until the end on the Pinnacle Server. Sure, like everyone else I had some alts, but always came back to my illusionist / storm summoner. She's the only character I took to the Incarnate level. It's a shame I couldn't take her all the way through the incarnate system. I was really looking forward to see what she could do at the highest level. I was part of the Pinnbadges channel for a long time but only started chatting in that channel the last 6-8 months of the game. Numerous conversations were rather interesting there....lol. I made a few friends through the SG I was part of and are still friends with them today.

Since the shutdown, I have yet to find a game that fills the void. Sure, I've played / playing STO, TSW, NeverWinter and although their fun to play, it's not the same.

I look forward to seeing the gates to City of Titans opening and flourish for a long time to come!

(Yes, I contributed to the Kickstarter...just wish I could have contributed more)

Played CoH from day 1 on Champion and never strayed from the server. Just about had a tank at 50 in every primary plus a few other 50s after 8 years of playing. Unfortunately missed the Kickstarter(was couchsurfing from MMO to MMO in an online depression since CoH shut down), however I think my SG(hey Marut!) contributed quite a bit and I'll chip in money for that when the time comes. Just going to be playing random games until this one finally launches, eagerly looking forward to learning more about it!

Hi Everyone! CoH was the first and finest MMO I have ever played. I was in CoH's beta, and remained until almost the end. I was purposely not on when the plug was pulled because I was simply too bummed out to watch it happen. Needless to say, I am really glad to see CoT in the works. I played almost exclusively on Virtue.

My first "main" was Blue Ox (Invulnerability/SS Tank), thus my name here. In addition to "Babe", you might have teamed with me as:

Earth Angel (Earth/FF 'troller)
Gravity Thief (Grav/Psi Dominator)
Plutonium Blonde (Rad/Rad Defender)
Hell's Belle (Necro/Pain Mastermind)

I can't wait to jump back into the city!

Virtue Server - Most Played:

BLUE SIDE..................RED SIDE
Blue Ox......................Gravity Thief
Earth Angel................Hell's Belle
Plutonium Blonde...Slime-Thing

Hi folks :) Just thought I'd introduce myself and see if some other Freedom players are lurking about. I played COX from April 2004 straight through with two accounts under the global names @Xara and @MilkMaid. For the last few years I turned my focus almost exclusively to villains and had accumulated a drawer full of fifties as so many here have done. My most recent toons included Z'Za, Mindless Mindy, Tazi Vega, Lexi Vega and Nikki Syxx. It's really great to see such passion for this new incarnation and I look forward to watching the game unfold over the coming years. Big hello and hugs out there to those I've lost touch with and hope to see you in the gaming void before too long ;)

Greetings, all. One of my favorite tanks went by Hells Bouncer; seemed an appropriate monicker for this forum.

Loved the game; started playing in late 2004. Even after the initial rush was over, I kept coming back to it. The friends who originally introduced me to it lost interest, but I kept finding enough to keep me involved. Wasn't there for the very end; my PC crashed in late 2010, then hit some hard times financially. I was crushed when I heard CoH had been closed down, and very happy to learn of the Project. Looking forward to exploring the forums... and perhaps better things to come.

You say nice things about me: I admire that in a person.

It always amazes me how

It always amazes me how uncomfortable I get when trying to introduce myself to a new community...like the first day of school when you're trying to 'get a feel' for everyone. Though there are no faces or eye contact, it's still a bit weird for me...

I guess to start things off I'll just say the typical things such as my name's Tim, a 30 year old kid (hopefully I'm not the oldest here.) Like everyone here I love comic/super-hero culture unlike most here it was considered uncool to enjoy these things when I was in school, regardless though being more comfortable with myself oddly made it easier to get along with everyone...(did I really just go into a "back in my day" story?)

Was primarily a FPS gamer starting out in Rainbow Six (really showing my age) Quake, and Unreal Tournament. It's tough to remember the very first MMO I played. I kind of migrated with some close friends of mine through Final Fantasy XI to WoW, which I enjoyed until a little game called City of Heroes came out...ever hear of that one?

I played CoH like most of you for years...I would jump between CoH and WoW when I needed a break from the other thinking that CoH would always be there. How wrong was I. It sounds so redundant but the news of CoH being canceled hit me hard. Like a friend moving away. I worked 3rd shift which gives you almost zero chance at a personal life. At the time my buds went out-of-state to colleges and no longer could afford to play any games so I was left solo in my gaming adventures. I would put in my hours for work come home and sleep for a few and soar around Paragon...but alas...it is but a memory. Though I walked away with some pretty amazing relationships, people to this day I consider friends.

Mid-2013 I got some hero withdraw. Champions Online for some reason I could never get into and DCUO was rather disappointing for me. I searched Google for "Superhero MMOs and found out about "The Phoenix Project". Following @MWorldsMedia on twitter I was directed to this new website! Been ghosting since the Kickstarter campaign.

Here I is...in the waiting line with all of yous'!

Hey all! I'm a little late to the party, but I'm REALLY excited that there's even a party to be late FOR!

I, too, was a CoH lifer. Got my first Collector's Edition copy as a gift during GenCon SoCal 2 weeks before the game went live and never looked back. Guardian was my home server, The Golden Council were my SG-mates, and I had a TON of alts. My most-played heroes were Bloodfyre (invuln/fire Tank), Madam Bloodfyre (fire/kin Troller), Teknomanzer (Grav/Kin), Tankenstein (Inv/EM Tank), Warfang (Inv/SS Tank), and Cinderhella (Fire/Therm Corr).

Looking forward to chatting with all of you as we await our next adventure, and teaming with as many of you as possible once our dream is realized!

Hi Hi Hi! I'm Kult! - was @kult666 on CoH - I stole my brothers account after I fell in love with the game after the first Halloween event. I am Protector 4 Life. (I dont think I had more than 4 or 5 characters on other servers mostly to test something or if Protector was down)

I ran an itty-bitty SG called MEAN GIRLS and we wrecked baddies and terriorized Atlas Park with insanity :) I'm also known for licking things. *Lick*

Hello lads and ladies! I'm

Hello lads and ladies! I'm Royal from the formerly glorious Union server. I was an avid role-player and mostly stuck to villains, in particular my main character Doctor Desecrator.

I stumbled upon this site after a memory jog and wanted to see if anyone had had any luck with creating a spiritual successor. Safe to say, I was pleasantly surprised to see that, not only had people's drive and passion for the game held out, but that MWM has a super-powered bun in the oven. I'm really looking forward to City of Titans and hope I can meet each and every one of you in game soon!

Hey, there!

Hey, there!

I've always been pretty bad at introducing myself, so here goes. My hero alias is Thunderstryke, but in reality I'm a 28 year-old living in New York City. While I've never played CoX, it was actually through Champions Online that I heard about this wonderful project right in time for me to contribute to the Kickstarter.

As cliche as it sounds, I enjoy all aspects of an MMO, from Roleplaying to PVP (which, I'm just not good at in anything but Street Fighter. True story!). What draws me to these games, whether it's Champions, DCUO, Secret World or CoX, is just the creativity and love that people put into their characters and in this we truly become extensions of our avatars. We are our characters through every victory and every defeat. Every good moment and bad.

I can't wait to meet, battle, trade, debate or just outright chill with all of you. Here's to City of Titans!

I played CoH at launch and for a few years after that. My first character was an Illusion / Empathy Controller called Mr Tricksy on the Liberty server. I wasn't still playing when it shut down but it was a game I periodically returned to and I was saddened by its closure. Plus IMO none of the existing superhero MMOs can hold a torch to what CoH was.

I'm really pleased to see some kind of successor and hope the project succeeds.
