Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

I remember when I first realized the tailor in Independence Port was only one block from the Kings Row gate and I never again had to beg for a TP or do the Marathon of Death™ across Steel Canyon to make some minor (but somehow necessary) adjustment to my costume.

That was true of any mob you needed to defeat a bunch of. Try finding a Fir Bolg in the woods when you needed to defeat thirty of em!

hehe. ;)

I remember when i was in The Hive (next to Eden) and saw a global request for last spot on an ITF. Too many people were vying for the spot. Leader responded with "1st Person to get to Imperious gets the last spot". I wasnt in a Super Group, so no Base Teleport. :/ What to do!?!?!?!?!

Then i remembered the Wentworths Teleporter. I used it and chose Steel Canyon for the Wentworths location. And Wentworths was right next to the entrance leading for Cimerora. Wham, Bam, and i was the 1st one to Imperious and got the last Spot. YAY! ;D

Wentworths teleporter was well worth it! Also great if you needed to pop into Kings row for the odd mission door and you weren't close to the train or sg portal.

Thought this was a Queensryche reference at first glimpse.

I remember when my buddy (Broadsword/Invulnerability) and I (Katana/Regeneration) would have the odds against us while duoing and out numbered. Blasting our dull pain at the right time, focusing divine avalanche/parry, moment of glory/unstoppable, expending inspirations, executing dual tech (Golden Dragon/Head Splitter) at the same time. We'd come out on top by a hair. Low level to high level, we'd find ourselves back to back stomping baddies. CoH used to make me sweat like no other. The encounter was usually followed by, "Man, I gotta go piss." or "Brb, getting water" lol.

I remember when I was a poor

I remember when I was a poor hero, struggling to buy enhancements for half a dozen alts, and then I entered a costume contest sponsored by the Earthclan Elite (the #1 SG on Guardian Server) and won a million for best vintage costume. My days of being a poor hero were over.

I remember when I joined my first taskforce - the old Positron TF - on my day off. We finished eight hours later, having lost 5 of our original 8 TF members. And as I dashed to the bathroom I swore to myself "no TF's ever again!" Or at least not the Positron TF ever again.

I remember when I got into a classic comic book 'hero-versus-hero' mistaken identity fight in Bloody Bay with Idun, one of the leaders of the Earthclan Elite, and by sheer dumb luck defeated her.

I'll share a few memories.

There sure are a lot of relatable memories in this thread. I remember...

...people bringing Devouring Earth monsters from Monster Island to the courtyard of Portal Corp where the monsters would then roflstomp everyone. Good times.

...arranging to reconvene with a pick-up group on the following day to finish a Numina task force. The next day, 4 of us actually met to finish it, and we had to face Jurassik in the dreaded multi-level crystal cave room (you know which room I'm talking about). We won.

...finishing a Faathim the Kind task force at 4:00am, but I missed the triumphant moment when Lanaru bit the dust because I was on my way back from the hospital. :(

blasted out of the sky and

blasted out of the sky and falling to my doom !

Remember my lowbie sprinting along the streets in Steel Canyon towards the giant statue in the middle when I saw a bunch of 20-something 5th Column running along the street, someone's ambush I think.

Anyway, they were in a perfect line and were about 20 of 'em. They didn't see me, cutting into the street diagonally 50 feet behind me, then running straight down the street.

But another lowbie who could fly was flying up the street and blithely ignored them, as every game told you you could do. Bad mistake. Out came 20 guns one after the other, pow pow pow pow pow pow guhhhhhhh falls 30 feet to the ground dead.

I knew at that point this was The Game.

Those ambushes could be a pain!
I saw some level 50s come out of a sewer entrance not too far up the street from the trainer in Steel and not only did they not clean up their mess, they actually led the ambush to a huge group of people that were training. There were piles of dead lowbies all over the place!

I remember when I would

I remember when I would create multiple versions of character just to check how animations and costumes looked inside the tutorial. I often did that with characters that were leveling. That way it didn't cost me anything to check the new look.

I'd also use that just to get a first glimpse of a powerset I hadn't tried yet.

People hovered across the Hollows.

I couldn't get the train to work because I was going in the out door.

Shops weren't on the map, and I didn't realise you could actually buy enhancements and didn't have to rely on drops (although you could only buy a restricted list of them)

You had cone range enhancements and the pink old break free insps that you had to use before getting mezzed.

I too was totally unaware of the existence of stores for a long time. That was the first reason I did TFs a lot, to get the SO at the end. The SO!

I also remember deleting my first toon ever before the respec was introduced. He was Storm/Electric and and endo hog. I had also 4-slotted Hover like a noob.

I think I may have told this

I think I may have told this "tar baby" story elsewhere, so pardon if this is a repeat...

CoX was my first MMO, so on one of my first noob days in Atlas Park I noticed a character with a symbol above his head. Wondering whether this meant that this was a character being run by someone from the game itself (a mod or a dev) I apologised for interrupting whatever he was doing and politely inquired as to the meaning of the symbol. (Note that this was probably the first time I had ever tried communicating with anyone in an online game.)

No response.

I asked again, and received the same lack of response.

Disappointed, I walked away.

The symbol that had been above his head?

I remember the first Trick or Treat event for Halloween I really really wanted to get the salvage to unlock my new costume slot. There was no one else in Galaxy so I ran around the block behind the train station with my bubbler in his hamster ball just banging on doors and not fighting the bad guys when I didn't get a drop. I remember getting on my Assault rifle/ gadgets blaster and throwing caltrops at the npcs and watch them go low then one shot them just so my best bud and I could get a few laughs.

I don't even know where to

I don't even know where to start with the "I remember's".

That game.

It was a feeling of wonder the very first time I played well before ED, and it was a feeling of wonder in the new Dark Astoria and in the sewers of Praetoria. I was a Hollows-hovering, wrong-train-door-using, poverty-stricken noob slotting my brawl punch too.

I remember my second character, which was my first 50 (when it took a YEAR to get to 50). He was a DE themed character, and when I first got into Eden and looked out over all of those treetops, I was amazed. And I got down into the winding maze of those forests--which made Perez Park look like a picnic area--and just thought, "Daddy's home."

And so much time just flying around the Shadow Shard. Just being my character who was a Shard native turned Earth hero, returned to the Shard to protect his people.

Hollows--damn Magmite Lords!

First time I built a tank that could stand in the middle of an ass-whoopin circle of Giant DE Monsters.

Just literally too many good times and wonderful experiences from early on to the very last year.

Thanks for this thread. It made me smile from my heart.

I can say "yeah! Me too!" to about 90% of the things that have been said here. Such good memories.

I remember the first time I encountered a shadow cyst crystal.
It was in the last room on the right before the last elevator in a Frostfire run. In fact, it was in one of the side alcoves so no one could see it till it was too late.

I totally forgot about those crystals. Now I think to myself, how could anyone forget? Many of us can probably recall the experience of seeing one for the first time and thinking, "That thing is pretty neat. What is it?" How quickly that naiveté was lost when you set it off!

Most of us didn't know what the hell happened.

I totally forgot about those crystals. Now I think to myself, how could anyone forget? Many of us can probably recall the experience of seeing one for the first time and thinking, "That thing is pretty neat. What is it?" How quickly that naiveté was lost when you set it off!

The only time I really hated those crystals was when they turned up in the +3 Mary McComber ambush in a Katie Hannon, otherwise they were free XP.

Haha, so many memories...

Haha, so many memories... Where should I start?

Confession of CoX noob for 3 years, started a week after the hybrid payment model was released. I remember when...

... I rolled my first character, a Mind/Psi Dom hero and the first thing I did after getting Confuse was confusing the enemies outside Atlas Park for shits and giggles, then watching gleefully as they attacked their own allies.

... I went for my first sewer run with my Dom not long after, which also doubled as my first floor inspection.

... I had no idea trains existed in CoX until a week after I started and I didn't know we had Travel Powers... XD

... I tried subbing for a month with mom and dad's credit card to see how the game plays... then promptly subbed for 2 years with my own debit card. I regret nothing.

... I created my first and only dual-build character, an Arachnos Widow, and RPed her as a woman with extreme personality disorder. Extreme, as in one side being a curt Rogue and the other a demure Hero. Was fun RPing her grumbling and talking seemingly to herself for no reason. At one time, I remembered RPing the Rogue side as being absolutely pissed off after the Hero side gave away most of her Infamy ATM (gameplay-wise, she's Rogue) because she wanted to help someone.

To name a few. XD

I will never forget when I

I will never forget when I was in atlas park, along with a huge mass of other players, and there were two level 50's in the whole group and everyone was ogling them..I cant remember there names ,but I do remember there costumes..simple black suites with white shirts and black sunglasses, and there were almost alike in every way except one of them was only about 4 feet tall.

I also remember teaming up with some guy named hemp man or something like that, and he told me he was made of "weed and radio active stuff", or something like that.

But my favorite moment was when I met the mad hatter..who never broke character and spoke only in riddles, he would sit around dancing and saying rhymes and stuff.

--Formerly Jorortis--

Note: Jorortis is still a character of mine and is still going to be in the super group, not Demirus, at least not yet...

I remember spending untold

I remember spending untold hours struggling with the MA to get all of my precious, precious words to fit the ridiculously small amount of allowed characters in the various description/dialogue boxes. Needless to say, the work was better for it and I think it helps me as a writer to learn to cut down on excessive and redundant verbiage. And here I am today!

I also remember having to sadly abandon some stories I was working on as more and more broken bits started to creep into the MA.

I got that ride, too, once. Crazy-amazing. But the thing I loved most about the Taxibots was when they saved my butt from the deep end of The Hollows. I cried, 'For the love of Ghu, how do I get OUT of here??' Moments later, a Taxibot took me home to Atlas Park. Glorious.

It did in one of the early incarnations of the winter event. I can't remember if they kept that kind of thing when they introduced the ski chalet winter events.

Anyone else remember, prior to Pocket D, the hidden nightclub that you accessed via a skyscraper in Steel Canyon, next to the shop (natural?) in Talos Island, and I think the third entrance was in Independence Port on the side of the TV Reactor zone?

Or the dizzying landscape of Faultline? I would actually get a little woozy trying to navigate that zone.

How about Kora Fruit Farming for xp?

Of course it did :)...Actually, IIRC, the map was used for several instances in the game after Pocket D took over as the night club.

BTW, Kora Fruit Farming took place in the Shadow Shard before clicking on objects in stealth/invis made you visible. So you could keep accepting the Kora Fruit missions and get the mission xp bonus without even having to beat those pesky Rularuu...just run around and click on the blinky fruit.

The first time I went to the Paragon Dance Party was probably in my first week of playing the game. Cinnder was a lowbie and was taken there sidekicked by what I thought was a kind stranger who had promised we were going to run a mission. Once we got there, he ...just kind of stood there next to Cinn making weird observations... It didn't take long for me to get creeped out and say I had to go do something else irl. :-o

I liked how the door to the Dance party in Talos had an old guy sitting in front of it after Pocket D opened. If you stood too close or had a mission at that door, the guy would start complaining, "The Dance Party's closed."

Lol - I remember sketching out the zones on graph paper and marking down all the stores/places of note that weren't on the maps.

How about this one: I remember when there was no way for characters with SS or SJ to get out of the center chasm in the Terra Volta hazard zone map - and that there were people actually dedicated to teleporting people out of there for a while. If they weren't on you had to blast an SOS over several of the zone or even server chat channels and hope someone would take pity on you - or send for an admin.

I remember, in the time

I remember, in the time before the Sewer Trial (the new one—I forget if it had a more specific name), sewer teams would actually Forrest Gump it through the labyrinthine Paragonian waste system. I remember actually running from the Atlas Park entrance all the way to the Boomtown Entrance once! That was awesome.

On a more general note, I remember how alive and real the world felt. The world was colourful and vibrant and incredibly creative, but it also took itself seriously (unlike Champions Online, which is always sort of snickering at itself, like "ISN'T THIS FUNNY?"). I think that's the biggest thing I'm hoping for out of City of Titans. Rich, fun, vibrant lore and world design that still takes itself seriously.

I remember PL'ing 7 MM's to

I remember PL'ing 7 MM's to level 12 (i.e. gained their first 5 pets) on my second account plus 6 trial accounts so I could farm the last 99% of the Empath badge (still a billion points at that time) on my radiation 'fender during the Valentine's day event. At the time, it was one of the only instances where heroes could team with villains, and it just so happened one of the missions in the event's story arc was on a CoT temple map that would spawn the static damage-aura crystals if a villain entered the mission first.

Long story short, I wound up running 8 CoX sessions on 3 different machines 24-7 through the full 3 weeks the event ran... I might be one of the only people to actually see mastermind pets automatically de-spawn after having their duration run out.
---
I remember purposely avoiding as much XP as possible and dying on purpose so I always had debt in an effort to not outlevel my contacts so I could do all the story arcs on my main character (flashback wasn't in the game at the time) and collect all the souveniers. :P
---
I remember still 6-slotting Hasten despite ED.
---
I remember spending hours upon hours wracking my brain over whether it would be better to slot a power for set bonuses, or to maximize the power's performance by franken-slotting for damage/mezzes, recharge, and end-redux.
---
I remember when there were seperate enhancements for endurance recovery and endurance drain.
---
I remember when Instant Healing was a toggle power.
---
I remember being No.1 on the villain list for Pinnacle server on badge-hunter.com
---
I remember switching servers just to get the Master Thief and Power Liberator badges when some fine soul set up a community event to let people click their SG's IoP's. At the time, the TF to get IoP's had been disabled, but they hadn't removed the IoP's from the game yet (not sure if they had announced that they were going to remove them or not at that point yet).
---
I remember purposely picking Mutation or Natural as my origin on new toons so I could slot damage SO's at level 10 after buying them from Mr. Yin's store.
---
I remember keeping spreadsheets detailing what Invention salvage, recipies, etc. I had stored on which alt.
---
I remember spending tens of millions of inf. at BM/WW trying to collect one of each of the original pieces of base salvage (from before it was all converted to components)... I believe I did actually manage to get one of everything except a small handful of stuff that I don't think was actually in the game (there were a half-dozen or so pieces that weren't listed on paragonwiki but showed up in the market lists as something to bid on).

I remember the first time I

I remember the first time I did a strike force with my mastermind at Level 20. Oh man....my jaw dropped at the huge demon that appeared at the end. I had a fondness for watching the Circle of Thorns try and fail to fight it when I ran through it with my other villains. But then again I loved turning NPCs on eachother in general. I remember when I would lead the purple ghost gang mob boss (in the redside 20-30 zone)into multiple groups of rivaling enemies....oh the chaos that will ensue if a Rikti Invasion was going on. I also remember when I experienced my first blood moon on Halloween. I remember the Base Design thread on the forums...people would come up with absolutely insane base designs that I could not even come any close to producing because the game's engine made it really hard to make stairs, multiple floored buildings, and such like that. I also remember a thread that had people recall their encounters with some rather....colorful individuals but they usually went about it in a joking way instead of mocking those people

I remember a teammate getting her first travel power and zooming away into the air ... and me asking if that was fly and being told it was Super Jump.
I remember following a higher level teammate over a boulder and into Grendel's Gulch and getting splattered by an Ogre's boulder before even hitting the bottom.
I remember seeing my first Khelds, who joined after several teammates had quit while learning just how painful Minion of Igneous were. And watching one of them actually single pull them group after group until we could handle them without getting wiped yet again.
Watching two strange black clad "special ops" race across King's Row. They conned really purple ... level 50 Malta whatever the heck those were :)
Speaking of Malta finally learning on my BS/Regen scrapper just why sappers were so feared. My first 50 hadn't even really felt they were all that much but then she was Claws/SR.
Coming round a bend in the wall on Mercy Island and running into a tree leg. "Why hello Eochai"
Finding Eochai while he was still in 'bush form'
Hovering across both the Hollows (to escape) and the Storm Palace (to explore).
Exploring the Hive getting the badges and finding out just how far a Mito can shoot.
The craziness of being the lone corrupter on a team with 6 masterminds and all 36 of their pets.
Being on a team of 6 defenders and 2 controllers doing a Master run of the Statesman task force issue 9 >>> electing to dive into all 4 Patron AV's and utterly owning them before crushing Recluse.
Nearly falling out of my chair the first time an Archon went all 'wolfie' on me.
ROTFLOL the first time a goblin landed on a friends character in Croatoa.

And I could go for hours yet I think ...

This game truly was special

This game truly was special in every way. Still to this day, my dad and I will reminisce about the old CoX games when he picks me up from college to go home for the holidays. We try and remember all of his hundreds of heroes and villains he created, some with amazing names and powers, like Black Eagle and Crimson Crow, Cyberforce, Dr. Disaster, Dr. Caduceus, and those with, shall we say, dreadful concepts for example, The Penciler who wore all yellow except for his pink hat, and had a green number 2 emblazoned on his chest, firing "pencils" at enemies from his simple longbow. We remember how garbage my first hero was upon conceptualization. I mean, an all Ice controller who was a frozen zombie brought back from the dead by the Circle of Thorns? Wearing nothing but swim trunks? Ghastly. What made it even worse was that my brother's first hero, Victory Flare, was amazingly well designed, though it was hard to make him look bad when you use those cybersuit costume sets. I remember when the game went free to play and I was so excited to play and have an account of my own. I wanted to be able to pay for the game too, not just stick with free to play forever, no I wanted the whole shebang. i remember when the dreaded email came in only a year later. It's still sitting in my inbox on my old email account because I couldn't bring myself to trash it. City of Heroes was my childhood, it was what I looked forward to doing since before I was in 6th grade, and many years beyond. To me, each and every hero, no matter how ridiculous or serious, no matter how hard the Hollows were and how much endurance I lost wielding a mace or a sword or even turning on Invincibility for the first time, that game and those heroes were real, they were special and they'll never be truly forgotten.

I remember doing the

I remember doing the Frostfire mission over and over again on Stone Tank heroes because I was somehow obsessed with that particular defensive powerset. Before Architect Entertainment was even a thing and I didn't even care because I loved eight manning his frosty arse no matter how many times I had already done it.

I remember my first Rikti invasion and not having a single clue what was happening, dying repeatedly with my low level street hero, fighting before turning to fleeing and then finding a Super Heroine Controller, the first time I had seen someone using the Force Field set. I remember fleeing for my life into her massive force field practically the size of a small building and finally being safe as she and her friends proceeded to murder the alien scum after my hide, then joining forces with them to smite the menace.

I remember before I became/discovered the sheer joy of Supervillainy and how it instantly became my clique above Superheroing. Turning against them (lore wise at least, heh) and joining the power hungry masses of the Rogue Isles. I remember how THE HEROES WERE DOOMED because being evil is too damn fun.

Puny Heroes.

I remember when, on a pug TF,

I remember when, on a pug TF, the first time being on a team strong enough to split. We were rollin right along moving so fast as a group, and came to a split in the tunnels during a mission. While fighting a hoard at the split, without realizing, we had split into 2 groups, and didn't even realize it till a few hoards later. We had 2 tanks that went 2 different directions. And the split worked out just right, with troller/tank/damage down one tunnel and fender/tank/damage down the other. It was such an exciting moment for me. I tried to recreate this for prob the next 6 months. Until meeting and teaming with groups that did speed TF's...then I felt silly for being sssooo excited about the pug TF split, lol.

But then came an entirely new level of playing...making toon/build good enough to contribute to the speed TF's, which was also another great memory of CoH.

The most important skill for

The most important skill for an illusion controller is learning to get stunned so you could instantly recharge your
phantom army. I was in a group who was using this Easter Egg. We had like 100 pets out. Fighting the devouring earth.

I remember doing an Ernesto

I remember doing an Ernesto Hess TF with a PUG and at one point, one guy says "AFK, I have to get to Safeway before they stop selling soup." which struck me as so odd that I started a thread on the forums entitled "Most unusual reasons for going AFK during a TF". It eventually got like a bazillion replies and a 5 star rating from users. I was very proud.
