Login and logout animations really are a nice idea, Cyclops.
Ooh, I've got a character concept where the login animation should be a portal opening overhead and the character falling through, landing in a heap on the pavement, then getting up and dusting off with all the grace of the Queen. Logout would be simply a portal opening below their feet and them falling in. And by "portal" I mean a simple black oval, Looney Tunes style Portable Hole, not the Aperture Science variety.

CHANGEABLE EXPRESSIONS
The player can make a purchase and just like emotes, he can change facial expressions on a whim.
Not everyone is going to want or need this but it is a vanity thing for RPers. or even just guys who hang out a lot under the Phoenix statue

Wait, I am a genius! Make PvP a purchasable option, and you can PvP anywhere anytime as long as the other guy also purchased the option.
It comes with a toggle for on/off.

It will make me very happy everytime I look at how much money I saved by not paying for PvP...
I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, though.
Make it cost like 100-200 Stars per month for PvP "rights" so it's CHEAP and not much of a barrier to entry. In other words, you'd save $1-2 every month by not buying it. Again, people drop that kind of money on vending machines for drinks and snacks DAILY without a second thought.

Might as well charge for a duelling facility on top whilst you are at it.

Pay to win only applies to game mechanics. Uber stat item requires a 25 man quest that can be only completed once a week per player per account. Only one player will get the drop. (Thinking of you WoW). Free to pay players have a *chance* to earn it. I have money. I have disposable income. Why cant I buy it? I want it NOW! Everyone is happy.

In COX, what did I spend real money on?
Powersets: Bough expansion for the new arch types, dual pistols.
Costume Sets: Steampunk
QoL: XP/influence booster, damage/accuracy/de-buff booster more powerful than available in game and used in PVE events.
Server: Paid for a server transfer. All my buddies were on one server, but sometimes server was full, so i had a back up server to play on. Game came with 12 slots/server for characters. I had 3 servers with 25 slots. I was an Alt-alcoholic.
Additional Costume slots on the same toon.
Additional power set builds on the same toon.
What would I pay for in COX?

I got to keep it and had account wide access to it.
I paid the Sub for access to the horizontal end game content.
Some items could be earned in game through accomplishments, some were only purchasable, and did not give me an advantage directly over another player. The Melee Build had and Uru-AX weapon skin. It had a big eyeball on it that looked around. Difficult to accomplish, but worth it.
As a Former Marine, I bought the clothing package that let me have access to military style uniforms. I had my Regen Scrapper wearing Dress Blues look alike with the purchased ribbons.
I would hate to see Something I buy now to be marginalized as an in-game accomplishment to be accessible to F2P players. Sands of Mu: Preorder. Didn't preorder, you get something else, or not Sands of Mu at all. Then it was given away for free to the F2P.
Yes, maybe one or 2 additional costume slots/power sets through in game accomplishments....but not 25.

I was livid. Nearly Rage Quit COX.
Pre-Ordered and got Sands of Mu. Excellent starting power and still viable for end game content. Then it was given away free. Preordered CoV. Got the Archtype Soldier/Widow/ect. with an additional free power. F2P players got the free power later.....
Please do not marginalize the incentive for kick starters. I didn't know about the Kick starter campaign, so I missed that. Id be happy to pre-order. I would like something special for placing my faith in something only read about on a forum and seen videos of. What ever that special thing is, please do not give it away for free. Ever. Please do not make it an in game accomplishment. If you do, don't make it equal or close to equal to what I earned in the Pre-order.
Some CoX players had the "I Win Button". That was a real ability that killed everything on the server. It was a dev power given to certain players with an understanding that it would never be used, but awesome to have.
Like a movie I saw with an armored Lamborghini on the 53rd floor of a building, locked up, never driven, just so someone can say they have it.

Im a casual player with limited time. I want it now, so I will use real money. Now I need in game currency. I can sell what I bought with stars in game. Everyone is happy......
Please allow gifting to accounts that have been linked in some way as more than friends.
Exploit to prevent:
I am a free to play player. I have lots of in game CoT currency by running bots. Lots of them. I use this to buy items that can only be acquired through stars. I have $20 of real value....free.
I sell this on a 3rd party site for $15. Then I transfer this to someone in game. I make a living doing this now.
How do we keep gold/item spammers out of a game? Free to play til lvl 10. After 10, need a one time fee to unlock the game, or to unlock greater chat options besides group chat. Maybe $0.25 to unlock chat functions.
Spammers and Scammers can get reported for violating the UA

Toon Power!
I would like for once to actually purchase something, and have it be exclusive, not available for everyone. Fact is, I'm successful. I have lots of disposable income. Please do not marginalize what I buy because other don't have the money to buy what I have. I drive a 2002 Pontiac. Works fine. Have it for years. I take care of it. Just because I can afford a new car doesn't mean I want a new car.
City of Villains had the Mastermind, then it was bundled as CoX, then given away free along with the Soldier/Widow. F2P has access when they got to 50.

Mastermind pets came in 1-3 possible looks. Allow me to pay a fee and Actually Customize my Robots and Thugs, not just name them. What wrong with having 6 ninjas wearing Diapers?

There is an awesome item in game. It is limited to one per account. Since I have earned it, I want it on All my other toons, its that awesome. Why cant I buy a copy of it.
Little shoulder fairies.
They sit on your shoulders and say silly things (with a toggle command). Every time you get hit they fall off and go, "Aaaaaaaaaaah!"
Beloved Hero
Toggle power. A light from heaven spotlights your hero, and a chorus of girls sings, "Ah Ahhh." Great for killing time under the Phoenix statue.
Shoulder Kitties are now firing points. You hero has no real power, his shoulder kitty shoots the lasers.
Moose Trample, a moose appears and runs over your hero.
Sensual emotes. Pay your money and get a lot of flirty emotes. Blow a kiss. slap your butt. do the, come hither finger thing. Have hearts circle your head and stars in your eyes. etc.
New power Animation. Fist from heaven. This replaces one of your uber damage dealing powers. A Giant Fist comes from the sky and punches your target. If defeated, only a bloody smear is left.
Orbital laser, same as above, just a laser coming straight down on the target. replaces an uber power animation
vanity animation. Fart, nearby NPCs faint. sound effects.
