If I could just suggest that whoever drew this piece, move the robot's leg away from Rottweiler's crotch, it's one of those unintentional tangents that once seen can't be unseen.

Thanks, needs as I said, a lot of work. I got my rough sketch work in - and the basic colors for most of it, started in on the shades.
I'll get the hair and shapes more defined and then move on to the shading so it's uniform and remove the sketch lines. Also need a lot of work on that skirt / armor... obviously...
LOL... just noticed I'd flipped her Armored Arm as well. Was using the action scene as a reference. Oh well... back to the drawing board...

just a thought on the armored arm. (mind you i love the character design)
Both on the tattoo and military front you want the head of the bird facing forward. (Or facing into the body, not away from it) Like the US shoulder flag patches troops wear. Regardless of the arm you look at the flag is always 'moving forward'
the action shot has the head forward, the flipped pose (regardless of flip direction) has it facing backwards.

Notice how "Ace, the Bat Hound" stole his cowl concept from *me*! *sage nod* Also notice how both Ace and Krypto (Superboy's dog) did not appear until 1955 (four years after *me*)!
I'd also like to point out that "Streaky, the Super Cat" did not appear until February 1960, almost a decade after *my* first appearance in a comic book (in 1951). Darned National Comics came out with an orange tabby character (as I was originally depicted in my comic book) and claimed that, since I hadn't appeared in a comic book since 1956, that my comic book character was in the public domain! Kitty litter, I say! *growls* They also made their character male and had him running around costumeless! *rolls golden eyes*
Because of all the litigation between these Furless Ones, I didn't get to appear in a comic book again until 1976 (the USA bicentennial), and then that in my true form. I guess it worked out for the best, though. At least people recognized (and loved) me more frequently because of my "new look"!

That is some nice pencil work my friend. His legs are really stout but I think that goes great with the whole "Dog" concept.
Also his hands seem a bit small, particularly the "camera left" (his right) one but that could've been a
stylistic choice as well as in Dog paws are short and stumpy so his hands are as well.

Actually, I used to have a super group member that had Christmas themed powers. He was awesome!
Oh, and just a note. I have to put aside my pencil for awhile, I have four novels that I have to get the final edits done and sent out to agents and publishers by the end of the year. Hopefully, I'll have time to play again after the holidays and draw some more characters.
Ah yes Christmas of the PKs now member of Aspyre comics along with Felow PK member The Green Zap. and Gabe Dill the creator of Bluejaye. Christmas was a fun character. You guys had Christmas repping Christmas and Shamrock repping St Patties lol

It was an awesome group, Too bad DCUO failed to deliver. But I'm glad Tremor and Celtic Bolt are coming out with comics of most of the characters. The Peacekeepers were an awesome bunch of artists. I envied many of their skills. It was sad to see everyone drift away because they could not recreate their characters in DCUO.
Yeah it was sad. DCUO had the potential to be a great game the they fumbled the ball.

Okay... trying my hand at the Vanguard again... here's step 1, of what I perceive to be a good 30 more steps, several involving swearing and alcohol. I swear this girl's poor costume is a train wreck - full body suit with armor plated bustier, armor paldron on one arm, kid gloves, 1/3 face mask, sword (with hilt), leather skirt... and whatever the boots are. I will get it all in there... but dang... that's a lot on one costume. LOL

That armor plated running bra has to go... I did some colors on it to see what it would look like, and from just the roughs its um... it looks like they added it on to an existing costume for no reason. I'll try and fix my art - but... theres only so much you can do. It's just - too many styles all crammed into one costume. (IMHO)
I'll do one with all the stuff (sorry - did not mean to offend... it's not 'crud' as I had said in a previous post. 'crud' to me is just another word for extraneous or detritus items that could be removed) and one... a bit more streamlined.

Main tweaks will be to fix the hand/arm so they aren't so short and horrid, go in and clean up the gloves, fix the feet - maybe elongate one of them slightly.
The backgrounds just there to keep me honest with my colors right now. I may keep it - may not. I am a very very bad artist in that I'm just not patient enough and... I have too many nervous ticks in my hands anymore to keep a steady straight line or a steady curved one. So I have to keep my expectations within my limitations on what I can actually do. :(
