First off, great job writing that piece, made me feel like I was in the room with Wharston herself...and would the idea be more viable if our heroes interrupted a sort of gang war between the Black Rose and IFRIT, when the BR try to encroach on Wharston's Mill...?

from what i read that sounds believable enough.
Sadly we dont know much about what the black rose look like or do yet in powerset terms

Thanks. I should point out that some of the staff writers helped, so it' not all mine.
Those two factions are supposed to be constantly sniping at each other all over Ironport, so assuming a local flare-up attracts the attention of the PC's is what's supposed to happen. Could get even more interesting if IFRIT mistakenly concludes that the arriving heroes are mercs in the employ of the Black Rose.

So if we going to include IFRIT and The Black Rose we need to expand the RP to Ironport.
Seems a new thread is needed for the more expanded city view. Any ideas? Titan City RP?

That sounds good....however Ironport RP would imply that they are going to spend time their...if it was simply Titan City RP, each district might not get the same amount of treatment...

personally i think we should call things by a story arc title... that way we arnt restricted to any one place... or trying to cover the entire city at once.
Like this Downtown one could have been titled "Two days downtown" kind of a slice of life rp about what you would see if you sat downtown for 2 days ina city full of supers

eh, like the funeral thread i started... itll go until it feels like it should arc into something new. (im directing it towards the IFRIT encounter)
no real timeframe, just the creator gives it a name of the starting concept... and when the concept gets so far off the road its something new... a new thread is born
it allows rp'ers to join in without having to read 300 posts. They get a central new idea to feed on without getting lost in the list of "the usual suspects" that were posting in the last thread.

That is true Steam. Thought we should have a RP location that just for relaxing and hanging out. On the CoH Forums we had the and apartment building that served that role where the players could go and hang out in the lobby or someones apartment.

neat idea..
what about a park that has night events like you would find in a city. (night time movies, live bands etc)
that way if your character wouldnt go to a club.. just invent something in the park that would attract your character..
also lets us cycle the day/night through rp... so nocturnal or day time exclusive supers can show up

Phoenix Plaza RP? Start hanging out there even before the game made! Heck we already were in earlier posts of the Downtown. That our stable RP location central in the city, and as planned the hangout spot / replacement for Atlas park. There is also City Hall, the Museum, and some Super group buildings there. Many Rp opportunists, theater in the park, music concerts, a public picnic. Even villains can be active some in secret identities or some enterprising villain could host public events. Food venders and other merchants would also logically show up.
So my Vote Phoenix Plaza be the stable hangout location and other RP be story driven.

the beautiful thing about the planned server setup is we can actually have these zones as rp instances. ^_^

On second thought lets have all of Alexandria the RP local that way we include the amusement park. Would also be logical to have a few clubs and eating locations there too.

the amusement park is in Victory Beach, south of Alexandria. Victory Beach is an area dedicated to relaxation... sooo

All of Alexandria sounds like a great idea. It gives us a lot of territory and it's central to the city, so we can head to other areas relatively quickly if we want.

Also, and I suppose I should update the bio with this, Nick is Bruce Wayne with class when it comes to his public face (as opposed to the Nightmare persona) and is known for donating money to the arts, schools, hospitals, etc. as well as developing technology for combating Mid-High powered villains and selling it to the TCPD at a discounted price.
