Along the lines of the badge, am I to assume this be the thread we are to have shown up? And by 28th midnight, do you mean tonight? Or when the 28th becomes the 29th? XD Sorry if I'm sounding stupid, but that always gets confusing since half the people I know count midnight as the next day and the other half I know don't.
I definitely have questions, but is the topic open for absolutely anything regarding the game?
Very good question about 33 and 4-12. That may be related to why this is Badge 11.
And yes, 28th becomes the 29th. It may take a few hours to process behind the scenes.

One of the things I don't like about the new mmo's I have been trying is how limited the facial choices are. Most start with only five faces. I have also noticed that the male characters are all rather ugly and the female all rather pretty. Will CoT have lots of base face choices (before adding on gubbins?)

Someone earlier on posted about 11th Anniversary for badge 11. So I believe we have put everything together now about the badge.
That is the goal, yes.
Properly, this is a test of the auto-issue system for badges. So far, it is going swimmingly.
Note, now that people are getting more than one badge, you can go to your own user profile and select which badge you want on display.

That was an awesome night. There were so many folks logged on that for a long while there were 33 Atlas Park servers up and running. Everyone was logged on for the drift into darkness. The coming of City of Titans will be a greatly desired event for so many of us City of Heroes refugees who have felt homeless these past few years.

So how are you supposed to be able to change your badge? I'm not seeing anything anywhere to do so.
Click on your own name, and you should see a tab appear "Badge"

It seems that you have to go to My Account and then Edit to change and see your badges. You only see the badge you have selected under Badges I guess.

So. Silly question. I might have accidentally deleted my anniversary badge. Is there a way to get it back? And is there a reason that deleting a badge is a thing? Because that seems a bit scary to have when trying to change out badges.

No, you did not delete it. What you did was clear your badge spot. The goal there is if you don't want the little badge text under your name in the game.
This is still very early work on the badge system, so presumptions we think may be needed might not be accurate.

No luck here. Logged out of both PC and phone; shut down browsers on each. Logged back in. No [b]Account[/b] and [b]Badges[/b] buttons appearing as shown in Izzy's demo.

I was going to give click by click instructions, but my desktop browser (IE11) isn't showing the "Badge" button. Nor is the browser on my smartphone, where it did earlier... And it's not on my Fire's Silk browser, either...

It appears that the badge selection code does not limit availability to badges earned. Yay, a bug. Now to track down why, and to fix. Had to disable badge reordering to fix it.

I'm in this same boat at the moment - relogged several times and still don't see any way to change badges the way Izzy outlined it above.
I might have just caught it as Doctor Tyche started troubleshooting the other bug he mentioned. I'll try back again later I guess.

I had assumed the "33" in the badge was a reference to AP 33, and the devotion of CoH fans.
I also do not see the option in My Account to select a different badge. I do see my Kickstarter badge, but no other badge icon is shown. I logged out and logged back in 2 or 3 times, to make sure, but no change so far. Will try again later.

I have to say it's not desperately intuitive, but Izzy's tutorial works, the key is that you have to add the 11th anniv AND remove the KS one to get the new one to display.

Good to know if one has two badges shown to select from. Unfortunately, that's not the case (yet) for me and for a few others.
I'm having trouble getting my badge too. I've logged in a few times. I still don't see it listed under the view tab or the edit tab.

I have the same problem with the badge tab not appearing under edit (and why am I so excited about the upcoming announcement or having so much fun trying to do the login/logout thing to see if I got the badge? Must be a personality defect).
Oooh new badge.... awww it's not working. I'm sure all will work fine sooner or later :-)
I'm sure it has been mentioned before, but an idea floating around my head and resurfaced today is to have TWO AP33s. A public memorial commemorating a disater that happened in '33; and then a second, hidden one which is the site of the REAL AP33. If you discover the location of the secret AP33, you get a badge for it. Have random clues dropped from our more elderly citizens of Titan City, sugesting places to look.
Another one: I'm not sure how you are going to "high light" items in a mission, but at least one should have a Glowie in it.
Personally, unless it needs to be obvious, i.e. Guards hovering over a large crate; I think items in missions should be a little less obvious. and or fun to get to.
Maybe you have to look for secret papers, requiring you to click on random items in an office until you discover their location. Or maybe you have to sit on a chair, activate the TV remote and have the chair take you into an elevator and into the lair of the Dr. Evil, where no one notices you until you do something unusual.
Not seeing a new badge option yet. But looking forward to the announcement!
I'm sure Izzy's tutorial would work perfectly well for me (and likely the others) if our Account pages had been updated with the apparently new "Badges" button. As you can see below my Account->Edit page still looks like this:

My guess is that this is the case for everyone else here still having trouble with this new badge. Hopefully this will be an easy fix to correct.

Nothing annoys me more in games then having no idea what I need to do next and then having to click *Everywhere* in order to find something. That's just me though.
And also, I forgot to get my wallpapers from last year and it says you have to have the K badge, and I went to go get the pics but I realized I don't have the K badge because of the new one ~_~

Same boat as Lothic, there are no badges to edit under the Edit tab.
But this sounds like a test of a new forum system so no worries here, will monitor the thread for the fix.

I don't like blind searches either; but in your mission briefing you are going to have some idea of what you are looking for. "Got to a museum and find clues to the missing diamond", you are going to the scene of the crime and branch out form there.
For the most part searches should be obvious, but not so obvious that you have glowing items to say "Here I Am!". it is a fine line and a difficult one, I'm sure for the devs to get, but I have faith.
One option is to have the item you are looking for to almost, but not quite fit the decor of the room you are in.
Or stick out like a sore thumb so that it is obvious, but not glowing
