Anyone ever play in a Mastermind only group back in the day?

I never did for fear of lag...but i imagine it would have been a blast!
My preferred minions were the Gangers....especially for the Gang Warfare power. The minions show up shooting everything in sight, and they always took the boss agro off me and the boys so we could take him down without trouble.

I never took much in the way of support, I specialized in shooting along with the boys...more powers to max out for damage and accuracy.

The sheer fire power of such a group has got to be devastating.

I'm not sure I ever did but I

I'm not sure I ever did but I had friends who were Mastermind junkies who supposedly did that as often as they could. Apparently it was fun... at least in big open spaces.

One thing was for sure - I'll bet everyone on those teams were willing to wait until everyone had all their henchmen buffed up instead of having the idiot scrapper run ahead and start attacking everything before the team was ready. ;)

I did. It was fun, but not 24

I did. It was fun, but not 24/7. you watch a billion minions run at stuff and mostly just dink around with dances if things are going well.

if things were going poorly... so many deaths. entire teams of minions taken out and it would cascade into a wipe.

Two of the best changes they ever made was was A) Upgrades affecting all minions at once, B) Minions following you through buildings.

My friends tried Masterminds from time to time, but in the early levels they didn't feel great so they never got them to higher levels. I was the only one to level one to max, loved the Robotics/Poison mix. I think the most MMs I ever had in a single group was about 5, never managed a full 8. It was for the Imperius Taskforce from the Roman zone. The wider caves were a blast, but in the more narrow caves, movement became a bit of an issue.

I did manage to join an all Tanker group though, which felt like the exact opposite. Instead of millions of minions outnumbering enemies, we were a small group slowly trudging through vastly superior numbers.

To bad Commander won't be available on day 1, I'll be making one the moment they're available.

I did, once. All robo MM ITF.

I did, once. All robo MM ITF... yes, lag was hell. But so worth it to see every enemy, that wasn't at least an EB, melt away within seconds under countless laser beams.

When people ask me about my religion, I tell 'em I'd worship Cthulhu.

How bad could I possibly be? Let's see...
