Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Brute-like AT?

I had a few brutes in CoH, including my main, who was Dark Melee/Willpower. I loved how the brutes tend to get stronger as they were fighting. I'm wondering if there are plans for a melee type AT that would have a similar inherent ability like the brutes. Or would that be an ability due to a powerset?

The current design set for

The current design set for the Rage mechanic you describe will be available as an option.
Each Class will have a list of 'Inherent Abilities' to chose from to help define your playstyle, so your Enforcer (aka Brute) could chose:
- Rage (Brute)
- Inc Crit Chance (Scrapper)
- Inc Agro (Tank)
- Chance to deal dbl damage from Surprise (Stalker-ish)
- etc
- etc

So you could make a Dark/WP Enforcer with Rage and I could make a Dark/WP Enforcer with Inc Agro. Your character would be more DPS than Tank, but not to the point that you couldn't Tank and I couldn't DPS - you would just be better at DPS than me.

So basically the characters

So basically the characters would have more choices as per customization, if I understand that correctly. More in the area of specialization in the inherent abilities.

And of course, I do understand it's not engraved in stone yet. Looking forward to checking the game out when it comes out.

That is the original idea. It has been refined some since then, but we are testing to make sure we have the right idea in how to implement it.

the system is what we call the Mastery system.

"Mastery" that's was it!!!

"Mastery" that's was it!!!
Spent ages trying to remember the CoT name and couldn't.

There was also a discussion that possibly (was kinda a "Welllllll mayyyyyyybe but prob not" discussion) that could see multiple Mastery's being allowed based on level (say 1 Mastery per 10 levels) but again would depend on what was allowed (any selections, only some based on previous, etc) and balance. TBH I can see this last point being flicked off the table.

That's gotta be tough to balance. I love the idea, but it gives another way to find a FoTM combination. But, that's always there, and I loves me my customization.

Hell yes to customisation.

Hell yes to customisation.
Level 20 - Awesome what new powers can I chose from. Pri? Sec? Power Pools?
Level 21 - 2 new slots, what power to add them to? Do I need more Acc in a power? More EndRec? Do I want to add two slots to that power and get the Set Bonuses?

I think having more than 1 Mastery would be too much, unless there was some kind of Major Mastery and you could then select minor Masteries that are not as powerful as the major and maybe even linked to the Major. But Im more than happy for the choice of Mastery at launch. After that when they have the time they can look into multiple Masteries.

:)

No, not talking picking

No, not talking picking multiple masteries, but that a Mastery itself can evolve along different lines as you level up. Each mastery as sketched out (subject to change) gives each Classification (Primary power category grouping) 3 choices of Tier 1 Masteries. As you level up, you gain Tier 2 and Tier 3, progressing how the mastery works. This may be selectable between trees, it may not, we do not know yet. Some Masteries include click-abilities, some are purely passive. It is really novel.

Ohhhhh Im all a-tingle.

Ohhhhh Im all a-tingle.
If we have Tier 1>2>3 that would be shweet.
If we can also get a Tier 1 > 2a OR 2b > 3ai OR 3aii OR 3bi OR 3bii even better (even if not at launch but down the track).

How close (or far) is that from VEAT's? Oh wait don't tell us yet. Let us be surprised for a bit longer. ;)

Masteries are inherits not veats. Their the main reason why the gladiator can be like a scrapper, stalker or brute. We will be able to choose out own inherits that will have a skill tree. That's what he's trying to say.

The trees will be limited at first, more akin to a matrix-grid for launch. Eventually we plan to expand branches.

Cool, cool. Being able to pick inherits already sold it for me. A skill tree attached to it? That's just icing on the cake!!!

Don't forget there's dimensional layers to the tree - once you consider multiple builds, there's a lot of potential there.

It might be cool to increase

It might be cool to increase your max rage for once like you would do with energy/mana. That might introduce some interesting mechanics. It could be used the same way it goes for CoV Brute but at the same time be rage used like in World of Warcraft in which you spend rage to use your abilities so you can choose to either build up rage to get that boost in damage or you can use up rage for powerful attacks depending on the situation.

And if rage is in the game as an Enforcer hope it's the kind of rage you build from hitting enemies and getting hit. Nothing like WANTING to be surrounded by enemies and repeatedly beaten to know that will only make you stronger. I always like the idea of a rage tank type because it actually give you a reason to grab aggro and keep it because you will dish out more damage the more enemies you have pounding on you. It's a very rewarding experience to be a tank and not just feel like your team's punching bag.

From what I have read here Momentum and Masteries will provide that kind of functionality. That is depending on what masteries one picks it might be much more beneficial to just keep a full momentum bar while other mastery options might benefit much more from using it as available, and this will go for every AT.

always liked the brute, it

always liked the brute, it was a perfect fit for Citenik but instead of "raging" to increase his strength he effectively absorbed the kinetic energy used against him to increase his strength. good to see that I should hopefully be able to once more simulate his powers (somewhat) when COT goes live. :)

Meaning you may want a melee that allows you to bleed off your Momentum in small bits so it doesn't start draining and you "lose" your rage mechanic.

Momentum constantly depletes as it is gained. Any naturally depleted Momentum fills Reserves.

Powers may improve as you gain Momentum. Some powers may improve as it consumes Momentum. Consumed Momentum doesn’t fill Reserves.

If a Mastery power runs off Momentum, any power will act to add Momentum as Momentum is gained as you activate powers. Unless the power consumed Momentum, but such powers may be worth the pay off anyway.

Brutes were the BEST! Black

Brutes were the BEST! Black Falcon was a Dark/Electric Brute. I loved to jump in the middle of a mob with my electric Damage Shield on, attack the Boss and by the time I was done the minions would all be dead just from the shield.

Primary Melee
Secondary Defense
Tertiary slots from the damage shield Defense (forgot the name)
Mastery RAGE all the way
