Either widen the waist and let the oblique be the same width as the hips OR shave it down in a straight line from the oblique to just about the tip of the 3rd blue star... also straighten the sides of the belt, instead of the inward tilt they are now.
Yeah, sorry about that, Perry has a case of 'Tanker Torso', where everything between his navel and his neck is a bit outsized. It throws off the usual proportions between shoulders, waist, and hips. If you frame him up like a relatively normal person, then widen the bone-structure of the shoulders and pack on a couple layers of beef, you'll get a similar effect.

Very nice... coming along great... I'm curious, do you ever play with the color selection under the command (Control + U, or Apple + U on a Mac), that brings up a 3 slider menu... the top for color sliding, a saturation slider, and a contrast slider. I always play around with this, especially with flesh tones. As sometimes the overly bright saturation of a color pick will be too cartoony. Not that you're having that problem here... just a suggestion, in case you wanted to putter around... :D

I do actually! But usually once I'm done. Unless it can save some bad color decisions [img]http://www.deedeeproductions.nl/images/DeeDee/Smilies/Tong.png[/img]. And when I do, I most often switch to Photoshop to tinker with the image. Paint Shop Pro 9 is less equipted for that.

If you change the undo in Photoshop to 32, you can undo back 32 times, by control +z for the first undo, and then holding the shift, + control +z for the other 31 undos...
Ah Paintshop Pro, that was the first program other than MS paint I ever used...
I saw that Sau's getting the drawing treatment and smiled, but then saw the direction you were taking with her and panicked. I've got the original reference picture and several supplementaries here so it'll help. I'm sorry that I didn't get on a lot earlier to spot this and save you a lot of time on major redrawing.
The things ya got right are the dusky skin, the nails (those are unpainted though), and most of the major elements. However she is 21 and would still have a softer teen face. Her height in her fuku is 5'7", and that's with the inch that the boots put on her.

Comparing the 2, I've gotta let you know that the collar and broadcollar are not the same piece. They are 2 seperate pieces. The collar is much like the collars that goths and punks use, save golden and has a 1.5" hangtag/pendant permanently attached to it. Her stomach is covered with white linen, as it is a one-piece dress. I would say that the beads in her hair are 4 in number, smaller, gold and malachite, and spaced every 2" (if you've ever seen a kid with beads in their hair all around, yeah that), but that's your choice if you want to go and redo that part. Think Cleopatra w/o bangs if ya do.
If you do decide to include her staff (which is her power source btw), the crossbar of the ankh is pretty much this, but bring their tails down the staff's shaft a la medical sign, and no hanging ankh. Apparently you can set this to a max of 1,000... I didn't know that...
Click the thumbnail image in the History panel and all the changes will be undone - back to when you have opened your image.
You can increase the number of history states remembered by Photoshop up to 1000. Open Preferences and go to Performance. There you have "History States" field and slider.
[color=#c95f02][b][size=15][font=Palatino Linotype] Yep but be aware though (for those who don't have a super computer) each history state you add uses resources. Each is like a copy of the whole image again minus the last stroke/line/adjustment so if you have hundreds in use it can slow your Photoshop performance. 50 -100 is a good start on a reasonably fast machine and you can adjust up or down as needed/desired. It's also a good idea to periodically save the whole image as a .psd file (Ctrl+Shift+S) as well to preserve all the layers as they are at that point in time and just pop back to the last save if you get too far off the path.

I have broken my need for undo, by completely painting over whole sections, if not scrapping upto an hour's work... if I feel the piece is nowhere close to what I had envisioned. But if I am at a crossroads. I will select the whole image, copy merged, and save to a new psd file. I will then paint over that entire flattened piece until I have something closer to what I wanted. I may even do that 3 to 4 times, if at each stage, I am worried about having too many layers, usually somewhere around 15...

That's why mine is set at 60 even though my machine could take the maximum, it gives me enough freedom to wander a bit and come back but doesn't let me get too dependent on or bogged down in countless backpedaling. Changed the armband design, earrings, broad collar and added linnen to her clothing. Depainted her fingernails and gave the headthingy a new look with a cobrahead (the scribbles may not be letting it look like one atm though [img]http://www.deedeeproductions.nl/images/DeeDee/Smilies/Tong.png[/img], darkened the fur on the tails and ears. I chose not to change the facial features as I spent several hours on that. Will be adding more details on the skin lateron though. You'll see [img]http://www.deedeeproductions.nl/images/DeeDee/Smilies/Wink.png[/img]. Also added another ringthingy in the hair. I'll see if I'll add spaces in between or not. I'll figure it out once I start fixing up the hair.
The only question I have is.... Does the broad collar have any other colors than gold?

Added Cycling Warrior's cape and moved the sword as I was not totally agreeing with it.
Ofcourse that changed the reflection in his sunglasses aswell.
