Okay right now a story angle I'm thinking is Rotten Luck going to cross the legal line. Right now I got the idea as far as he goes to one of his former criminal buddies to get a connection for equipment so he can go underwater to the wreckage of the Aether Pirates Airship. His goal is to get the Jewel of Hal the magical Orb that made him.
Of course this is criminal thanks to Lord Nightmare who already owns the salvation rights to get to the Wreckage.
So Rotten will need to hire a team of less then noble folks Mercs who will help him get the goal, but not try to get the Orb for themselves.
Thinking of calling it Crossing the Line. But want more padding so I'm open for ideas to make this story line fun and challenging. Again technically this isn't Good guy or at least a Lawful Hero. This is for those who are willing to brake the law for the greater good, or for hire.

I was actually going to have our mysterious friend in red from the Patrol RP steal the orb under Nightmare's nose. However, Rotten, your idea works as a good test run of the new tech he's about to reveal (..soon as I finish that damn press conference right up).

That one reason I thought of this thread to get our ideas on the same page. For example there is no reason for your Mysterious friend to join up and backstab the team at the end taking the orb. Or the team finds the Orb gone already when they get there.
I also was thinking it be fun to run into Night's Tech during this adventure.

Shepherd knowing what it did to Rotten would put it somewhere that no one would be able to use it to turn mortals into creatures since his number one priority is protecting them even if it means making it seem like he is a villain. With his abilities he can get in undetected unless someone with magic notices him there

Actually, if I'm remembering my salvage right correctly, Night Industries cannot lay legal claim to the salvage. It crashed in Titan City Harbor and it's owner (The Aethers) has no legal claim to it, being a criminal organization. Salvage rights would be ceded to the city. The city could then decide if they wished to let it be or wished to salvage it. That would most likely hinge on if the city felt it was dangerous or not. And I'm sure Mr. Night had nothing at all to do with the politicians deciding that it needed to be salvaged... <.< >.>
The city would then decide if it would handle salvage operation itself or contract out the rights. Night Industries could then bid on the contract, which they obviously did and won. But, as stated before, Night Industries cannot lay legal claim to the salvage.
But, even with all that being the case, I'm sure that removing something small and simple like the orb from the wreckage would be no trouble at all.
At the moment, Rotten's best legal recourse would be to file a claim to the orb, since it was stolen from his safe deposit box, by the Aethers. But that would put him in the crosshairs of Night Industries legal department. Somewhere that I'm sure he does not want to be.

Thanks for the info Xselcier. Yeah Rotten wouldn't trust the city to guard it. Not to mention thought legally he did buy the thing (with money from his life insurance) an investigation into what tactics he used to buy it might not be something he wants. Nor I believe the City would let such a powerful magical artifact be in the hands of a criminal. Ron does have a criminal record.
Basic facts
Night Industries has the clean up contract and may also be using it as a demo of the latest tech.
Mr. Night and Night Industries are seen as good pillars of the community. So any fighting them will lower the "Law" level of those involved. They will be braking the law trying to get this Orb.
The Orb also known as the Jewel of Hel. When someone holds it and gazes into the orb it transforms them into an undead state. It also robs them of free will (this part was stopped during Ron's transformation,) If someone performs a magical ritual (Don't know what it like didn't think of one) to gain the blessing of Hel. He or she can hold the Jewel freely and command those that been changed (including Rotten).
Action layout
A bit of underwater activity to get to the wreckage.
There could be air pockets in the wreckage so it wouldn't be 100% underwater.
Hazards on ship, oil spills, rubble
Night Industries tech (Drones or Manned that's up to Nightmare)
Anything else we need for this little adventure into the gray of Law and Order?

Given the situation, I can put in Sea Holly as the most appropriate character, if I can. She could dive and get the Jewel using criminal contacts and sell it to the highest bidder, after thorough research, or give it to Night if he pays her. I suppose I should branch out her motive away from the simple money motive, but I first need to know who would be involved.

Hey guys,
Tyrian will not be involved, however I have finished working through my villain character. He is basicly a gun for hire, though right now I have his powersets worked out as claws/energy. I would like to put him in this, but since he isnt the, "hey im up for an adventure type", ill only throw him in if someone wants him as backup or to play a certain role in the adventure. Its going to be difficult I think for just pickup adventures, but he is a merc for hire, so just let me know if you want him. I know its terribly unoriginal, but he will go by callsign "Deathclaw".
Rotten:
The factions that would go after the orb:
Arcane Sentinel (good guys wanting to seal away dark magics)
Regency (presumably villains, nothing known)
Aether Pirates (trying to complete the contract)
Fish Men- (Defending their territory.)
My villain 'The Red' will be going after the orb. Since her entire concept is being attracted to powerful dark magic.
She is a complete and total psychopath.

Charlieranger Deathclaw would be just the type for this. It would be a merc for hire angle.
The Fish Men I forgot about them. Not sure the Aether Pirates should show up maybe an ambush when they leave the water. After all Underwater kind of the opposite of their thing. Regency like you said not enough is known. The Arcane Sentinel could show up would be better if they try to talk Rotten into handing over the Orb.
Alright later on tonight I write up the starting post and Rotten will send out a call for Mercenaries.

Why do you think Night took over? She recognized that Unlucky was not a team player or strategist. While she, on the other hand, is a 20+ year veteran of the Army, most of that time as a member / team leader in Delta Force.

when I make my characters i tend to think of 2 questions...
what is their biggest strength in combat
what is their biggest weakness in combat.
that helps direct class selection.
Take Arch... he has nearly no ranged combat ability, and his biggest strength is the ability to take a beating...
So he is defense primary... and melee secondary ... so he was a bulwark. (electric/electric)
So take Ariana ... she is more complicated. her actual combat build is a Gladiator (brute dual swords, invul) It doesnt fit her personality at all, which is why i like her, but still... she is highly balanced in melee between offense and defense. She will run with ally aiding command auras (buffing the gun attack in rp) and to counter that i rp her as having a very defined time she can actually be in combat for. Once her runes are done..(out of endurance) something very bad happens. ^_^
Melody is a straight up partisan, totally offensive. I run her with combat maneuvers on all the time (her dexterity) but if a blow lands she is fubar. She is based ona fire/storm CoH build.
Ian is a melee fighter, who uses build up to buff and heal allies... basically i rp him like a warrior-priest from warhammer online.. since WAR was mentioned in the dev interviews more than once i hope to see this mechanic happen in the bodyguard class, it was an extremely fun way to heal. He couldnt throw a spell or shoot a gun to save his life.
Sara is Ians wife. She will eventually make her rp debut but until pet classes are put in she wont ever be made. She comes to the yard with ians friends... who are rp'ed as his workout buddies/ punching bags. Sara herself will not engage in melee combat, instead she will rely on ranged pew pew pew... so she is a task master
^------ that is my process for deciding how to interact with other characters. If something plays to my characters strengths I tend to overpower it, if something plays to my characters weakness i tend to try and escape from it/ lose ground.
As for your characters:
Glad... I see your characters as follows.
Lady Nova..... Bulwark (Forcefield based, super strength) primarily slotted for mitigation + endurance
Contessa...... I personally would play up her minion summons and downplay her physical abilities to slot her more like one of the master classes... if i was going to rp her offensive spell casting id go with taskmaster, if it was buff/debuff magic id go with engineer, and if it was field status effects I would go with ringleader.
Talon: Feels straight up gladiator. More of a stalker COH build. blades primary with shadow defense set
Gideon:
Shepherd and Sin have a HUGE variety of abilities. Not easy to classify. They run into the same class finding issues as Contessa... good at so much how do you roll it in game?
They both have the fun dual gun ability if I have read correctly.. they somewhat mirror each other?
Play up Shep being a team player who can heal others and support as his minor abilities compared to his impressive offense... so a partisan.
With Sin... well his group of followers can be real.. which would put him as a pet summoner class.. Most likely taskmaster since he shoots stuff. If those are other PC's you plan to roll then have Sin operate more as a Gunner. Using his abilities to take care of himself instead of others... that will keep shep and sin with very different feels on how they use the same general magical abilities.
This is just feedback based on how i see characters being rp'ed, in no way critical of anyones choices... if i didnt like the characters or rp'ers i would ignore those threads ^_^. I myself have temporarily shelved Red until I can rework her as something rp'able without god moding rp sessions. Not to mention their is a LOT of magical characters out and about right now. please feel free to give me feedback on my characters.

To save speculation and confusion..
The Juggler was a supernatural entity. A paranormal prophet, if you will. He'll pop up every so often again, but for the most part he was just here to act as an omen and to mark "new info" on an impending arc I'd like to begin at launch. What he speaks at first are things that will happen to certain people, but if you noticed there's only one mention of an outcome. "Solomon" will come into play eventually, though best to look at what the Juggler said at first.
Also.. I have no clue what Nightmare will be @_@ can't choose if he'll be a Ringleader/Taskmaster with Ranged abilities or a Partisan with Pet abilities
