It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.

Unless they have a fusion cell or other neutrino source, sonar is all Tinker Belle has. It would start passive, and only go active if it couldn't distinguish them from background noise.

Welp, that's a wrap-up post right there. Seems my villains will fight another day, more experienced and in much better costumes. Nobody was able to track them for that entire time they were underwater, so it's doubtful anybody saw them go into their little hidey hole. I'm looking forward to using them again later.

Working to refine and tweak the Nightmare's story from its current incarnation. Figured it needs some sprucing up. Also, since the devs are releasing lore slowly I thought it'd be fun to introduce my players bit by bit. Kinda give you the idea of who I'm bringing in once we go Live. Otakuranger and Tyranex are both in idea limbo, so don't know if they'll get presence.
Brother and I are working on starting up a gaming channel together that combines our respective ones. >_> mine of course hasn't been touched in forever since I'm lazy XD

Soo...hello everyone! I was guided here by a friend and told about this RP site so I figured I would give it a whirl. Admittedly I don't know too much about the setting, but had the idea of possibly doing an older veteran Super who is internationally known and comes to the city to "Retire". Erasmus Losthold, age 55 and better known as [i]The Legionnaire[/i] would have worked for the government to take out International Threats and Supers for several decades, starting when he was in the army. He's primarily known for two things the first of which is his advanced suit of power armor called [i]The Kingmaker[/i]. The second is his ability to be unaffected by direct "magic"/mental powers.
I had been thinking both his normal and Super identity are well known and public knowledge and likely resulted in comics and stories being written about his adventures. Well, the ones that were declassified anyway. That said, he's going to have some ulterior motives that'll be revealed over time.
I had planned on introducing him through a large open award ceremony and was wondering if people would wish to get involved.

As for the award ceremony, I think it's a viable way to introduce your character. After all, heroes could use some of those.

Ohhh I think I'd bring Aaron, Gold-Fire and Technosis would all be likely to attend, Aaron for the local touristy effect of it "Oh look a super human getting an award, that's new!" (To someone from another dimension and time.)
Gold and Tech though may or may not have been fans of him and other heroes growing up, they're only in 18 and 17 respectively, probably read the comics and even in suit, are gonna ask for autographs.

I had been thinking he'd be working with the police in order to better train them and to also gain access to many of their records. If there's nothing else that police have that Supers never will, it is time, patience, and sheer numbers. Is there anyone else working for/with the Police that is controlled by a player that I should know about?
I might be able to come back soon and work on the James Duncan character sheet. Been so busy with school work and family matters lately that I have been having little time to spend on RP.

Eh, I believe I've made reference to Gold-Fire's father being a detective around Ironport area. Though he's just around. Terry and the Wanderers are highly cooperative with the police, but they're kind of a youth outreach sort of super group. Only deal with the police directly when they have a minor offender with powers they're suggesting, so not much in the way of information. I'd be willing to play Jeremy Wallace more, he's kinda fun, what little he's been around.
Thought comes to mind, like was done with JDHS, we could have another thread compiling names and characters who work for/with the police, peripheral entities like the wanderers, and PC's who are police.
Well we know from the LORE updates that there are Supers working in the police force. The chief of swat is a werewolf or at least an Wolf like Mutant. They also have Power Armor in the C.O.P.S armor.
I also have an idea of having one of my characters show up in that ceremony if you let me Unclewolf I have a character who could have been a teammate. D-Day is a Super Strength Invulnerability tank... in any sense of the word. He's hard headed hard fisted and subtle as a hand grenade. As the name implies he was a young recruit in the U.S. army and his first assignment was indeed D-Day invasion of Normandy. It's unknown if it was the fear, adrenalin, or just shock that triggered his powers but as he ran up the beach he was hit by a shell. It would have killed and indeed killed some of the soldiers beside him. That when his power activated he HULKED out, his muscle mass increased and he gained another foot in height. In blind rage he charged a Nazi bunker and ripped it apart, it's kept secret if he did the same to the nazies inside. He took the name D-Day in honor of his fellow heroes (all those serving were heroes Superpowered or not, they knew the risk and chose to charge anyway pure hero) both who lived and who fell on that day. His costume would reflect the WWII style military outfit. He also aging slower looking about 40-45 now with gray in his black hair.
Of course I won't have him there if you won't allow me to. The ceremony your idea after all.
Thought I'm still thinking of what powers he does have... not sure if he be super strength or some kind of energy melee attacks. The idea or a raging Hulk like fellow with glowing fist of raw power, glowing eyes, and a dark grin on his face as he looks into the bunker seems to be so fitting.

I think a Police HQ at the very least would be a solid idea. It'd encourage people to play the sort of character that interacts with the police., and give a place for those sorts of interactions to take place. Jailbreaks too.

Oh no, it's fine if he wants to show up. Anyone can. Even villains if you want though that might not be a good idea for their health. If they were teammates, it'd be an on/off basis as Erasmus would have been shifted around quite a bit and even done solo missions quite a bit. His immunities would make him rather unique in his capabilities.
I think we should make one then, I would generally suggest somewhere central if we knew canon, though we can't really know where they would have that, nor commandeer that concept. I only established that Terry lives in Ironport somewhere, his father can be anywhere in the city as a detective I imagine. Though Ironport makes sense, elsewhere works too if he happens on a tip outside his jurisdiction, but in their neighborhood. Just to clarify how their interaction probably works as well.
Messed up his name, the topic of WWII made me think of my WWII characters like Terry's grandfather on his fathers side Jeremy who was a sniper, Jared is his fathers name >.<

The Avatar is actually a 4e DnD tiefling done in the style of Order of the Stick. I'll probably design something new with Titan Icon and later the Titan City character creator. When it comes out, anyways.

I never think of tiefling! Most of my D20 experience is with custom or early alpha systems, or M&M.... LOVE M&M, but just cause I can break the game logic... Gm is a good friend of mine, good for testing things LOL... I have a problem... XD
Oh! Had another thought about possible RP, well, a mission thread I'd like to start to introduce another character, and some random villains... UGC yay, anyone up for it?
This is the idea: Wallace Technologies went under about 5 years ago, stuck in litigations and legal tape, the police can't touch it. That said there may be open cases floating around dating back as far as WWII that suggest Wallaces to be A; far older than they claim, and B; much dirtier. They've operated in Titan City since then and a small young teen super group that disappeared shortly after the war, is among these cases, suspected to be old Nazi plots. There don't seem to be any Nazi's around that area now,the idea in mind is for an 8ish person group to run in, check out the tower and areas over the course of a night or two, and eventually find evidence for or against this. Genre saavy says they'll probably find some stuff.
Sort of a family plop but with Wanderers and the police thing it would be cool to lead up to this over time, especially with characters who might be interested in what happened to, for the moment I'm calling them the Teen Olympians, since a lot of them had Greek or Roman based powers or names. Suggestions are welcome. Gold-Fire and Detective Wallace would be involved in the plot on two other threads, not sure when/how to introduce it, but I wanted to discuss if people had ideas and suggestions, even though it involves mostly my guys.
I was wondering. How are gifts from Divine Beings/Semi-Divine beings handled as I was thinking that depending on how it is handled, I was considering making his shield and blade such gifts. If they're avoided, it's fine. It was just going to add a bit of character/history to his equipment since much of what he carries and uses is likely trophies he's won after fighting for so long.
Here, perhaps this works better. Maybe not.

Wow... Ironically, that relates to one of the characters, the only one I intend to use, she was last time anyone knew, the owner of an incomplete set of armor claimed to be from ancient Rome given to the women of her family by tthe Goddess Hygeia, she basiclly punched an enemy then touched an ally, or vice verse and transfered wounds, though a little bit of extra speed and fighting ability when she was active, where about and identity unknown. Punching the enemy didn't get transfered to the ally, of course, but the magical transference thingy... Her name was Venificus Virgo, magical or poisonous maiden. Both, technically.
Characters from the Teen Olympians would be their leader, working on his name but he was a forcefield user, telekinetic. Honestly hadn't thought of all the other members yet. They were active over seas so they must have had a few members and some powerful ones, but neither of these are OP by any stretch.
Yeah, it's from Neverwinter. One of the very, very few games on the market with actual demon-blooded folk in it that look good and are playable.

I had been planning on the sword, shield, and parts of his armor being made by children of Hephaestus, forged specifically for him as a reward of some mission or another that ended up aiding them. Erasmus doesn't follow any sort of deity, but he's more than likely made allies and enemies of some and their offspring by this point. And since magic wouldn't work in his hands, the equipment given to him would be technological and/or of superhuman quality rather than supernatural ability. Plus there's nothing saying that ancient deities can't create newer devices. Just imagine a Cell Phone of Hermes.
Make calls to and from anywhere in the multiverse, except Hades, but there's a trick, it probably looks funny, or is invisible so you look crazy. Gods tended to have sometimes less kind choices of how gifts worked.
I also put that level of power a bit above magical artifacts, though they can be awesome and even godly weapons can be made, I would hope to some degree. I think god made weapons tend to have their properties baked in, quantum entangled if you will into it's being. Mulnjir for instance, others like this. So would the anti-magic work, does soul magic count too? Or all magic? Just asking for a little help foiling maybe.
The armor for the character wasn't given in my characters families case as a if this do this, just an anchor to hygeia's power hoping to bring health to humanity through it's use. I recall mostly benevolent stories, but few, of that goddess. Could be wrong.
From how I've RPed with Wolfy in the past, his antimagic tends to work on basically any directed sort of deal. So, if someone tosses up a magical barrier, Erasmus could walk right through it. Fireball to the face? Won't even touch him, even if it cooks the air around him. No use in even trying mental compulsions or mind attacks, as they just fizzle out. that sort of thing. It's like whatever he's touching doesn't WANT to be magical anymore.

And then you have the possibility that some characters might be deities or reasonable approximations thereof. Both Marvel and DC have a Hercules for example. In this forum we've seen Loki disguised as a janitor, and offspring of other Norse Mythological figures...
General rule of thumb: If you've got a character that is maybe too powerful, find limits to put on him. Example: Rotten Luck's namesake has a Hel of a lot of power at his disposal. But if he gets hurt too much, or uses too much power, his intelligence drops until he's fed. Fortunately he can eat even Victory Beach Hot Dogs[sup]tm[/sup]

Well, you have to remember that when you're immune to powers, it also means you're immune to healing powers. Wolfy doesn't pull punches, but makes sure that other people can score hits as well, and when you can't just go to the local divine healer to get the cracked rib fixed, it hinders you for quite a while.
Don't worry - Wolfy's definitely the sort of person you can rely on for good RP without being overwhelmed by IC power, even if your character is significantly weaker than his.

The way I had imagined it, it was all [i]Direct[/i] attacks. Someone who summons magic fire to use as a flamethrower against him would find it ineffective. But just summoning a boulder above his head? Yeah, it's still a boulder so it's gonna hurt. If someone uses magic to enhance themselves or their weapons to combat him, that's still indirect. It is powerful, yes, but it can still be worked around once it is realized and fairly easily too. His gear is able to be worked around as well. While it'd give him strength and durability, he can only move as fast as a human despite his reflexes, and he has to rely on a normal(if rather large) pistol as his ranged capability. Anything he's been given or has won certainly isn't infallible and could definitely be destroyed or broken should they meet enough force. He's been enhanced personally too, but not in any way that'd make a noticeable impact on his capabilities during combat. Mostly just replaced organs when he got too damaged from time to time to make a natural recovery.
Despite being publicly known, he doesn't prance around in his gear all the time either, nor does he have a way to quickly don it if something should happen. Overall, his primary asset is simply his decades of experience fighting threats both Mundane and Super. [i]That[/i] is what makes him a dangerous foe, not his ability negation. He's lived long enough to retire from the International scene after all.
Kind of reminds me of my A;lt Jason Tanner. Went as the hero Phantom Gentleman till his powers started to affect him more. He had the power to turn invisible and phase, however now the age of 60 his powers are doing more harm to him.
Basically his body not phasing properly anymore some of his cells get Phased Locked either they don't phase or turn invisible with the rest of him or the reaction is slower. Just think of how much pain that would cause if say part of your lungs or heart is phased when the rest of you isn't. Phasing and getting a seizures because part of your brain or nervous system didn't phase with the rest of it. Of course he's not to that point it was caught early, but ended his Hero days. I used him for an AE arc.

I wonder if people are jumping into the online environment. It seems likely, based on the FB group postings that have been popping up. Eventually, I may even try to figure out that Icon thing myself. The previous version was missing costume parts, so I had characters without hands and head. It wasn't a priority, so I left it alone at that point.

As for Christopher Basarab I'm not really sure what to do there. Got some idea that Christopher has some phantasm like phasing power. A man stuck in a way between two worlds and belonging to neither. Joshua now more along the lines of a Dark Corruptor vampirish like being.
Part of the problem of how I let the RP have it's own life is sometimes it goes into places I have no idea what's next.
Icon is the single player system. Technically it's a hack.
Paragon Chat has the chatroom system and you can see others. Is a true chat room system that just uses the Game files on your computer.
Make sure you know witch one you using.

Been around. Still waiting on people in the wanderers thread, though I suspect it's dead. I need to get a handle on the scale of events in the threads I start, so far every thread turns into a warzone(Not that I mind, but I think others find it off putting)...
I've got Paragon chat downloaded too, but the ghost town feel of it kind of unnerves me. =/ I'd be up for RPing with people on there however, I sort of tied off the characters lives in my head and 'reincarnated' them here.
I might log into Paragon chat thursday night.

Hey, I've done some forum RP before and I'm wondering about getting into it here. What are the rules and expectations? Also, how strict are the expectations, continuity-wise? A few places I've looked are a bit of sticklers about continuity, and other places might as well be episodic.

As for continuity, I personally try to maintain continuity, and at least once I took something I'd seen happening in another thread to try to gain an advantage in a nearby spot later. The player of the character that got splashed let me get away with it, so I figure I should definitely give any such attempts at cleverness a good chance. ^_^

Player communication is my golden rule for RP. Anyone want to try something with the new guy? I have a wide variety of characters to choose from.

Events in the Alexandria RP winding down the Villains got what they wanted. Clean up there can be rped a bit. Could also have some investigation and figure out what happened, why, and where the bad guys base could be.
I'm also preparing for a bit I call Battle of the Brothers. Joshua and Christian Bassarab are two characters I have. One is an artificial vampire like being that feeding off the life force of his victims. The other was trapped in another dimension for 300 years and now can phase in and out of this reality. Of course Joshua the bad guy here not going to play fare so a team up might be useful. Still trying to think of how to make it interesting. Hmm maybe his victims become thralls puppets to his control. That might be interesting not only do you have to fight them they are innocent civilians.

I think I'll avoid established things for the moment, until I can get a better idea of what's going on. What power level are you considering? I have anywhere from 'street crime' to 'I make cities uncomfy.' I don't have anything good for the uppermost tier, though. At least not yet.

Well the battle of the brothers going to be basic levels. Both have just came into their power. Joshua was recently changed, and Christian still learning his. So I would say it's street level Joshua was a drug dealer/mage using victims to extend his life, this last time something happened when he used a Mutant. Her mutations changed him so he still be a street level thug.
Of course I have a few tricks up my sleeve. A supernatural being will appear at the end what happens then who knows.

I have a street-level hero who has a mix of experience and a fairly useful power. And of course it's always nice to give it a bit of a twist. I'd be willing to try that.

*Fans away smoke* Well that sucked. My computer decided to have a mental meltdown. Something that had to do with the Mod systems I was using on Skyrim and the new Windows 10. Why an error bug on my Mod manager caused Windows to no longer see my drives I have no idea. At the end I stripped my computer completely all disks reformatted. Okay I need a location. Someplace not wealthy but not industrial like Ironport. What will happen at first are two women perhaps teenagers walking down the street. A puff of smoke comes from an alley and one stops walking. Then the two vanish because I don't want to add to many spoilers!
That would be the opening act but where to place it? I fear my memories (not to mention my files with the latest map on it) drawing a blank.

I may jump back into rping with you guys once I get some things in my life sorted. I will say I miss rping with you guys and will try to get back into the swing of things as soon as I can.
