Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Art Request Thread

Because there are many artists around here, I thought I'd put back up the Art Request Thread.

Keep in mind that this thread is not a promise that your request will be fulfilled, but it's a shot at getting free art.

How does it work?

You can put up a picture and describtion (and/or a link to them) of your City of Titans character(s) you would like to have to put into art.
This can be any art; pencils, paintings, 3D-art, plushies, literature.. you name it.
If you do not want your character in X-rated art, mention that. Otherwise artists are free to use 'm however they plan to.

Make sure your references are clear so the artist won't have to guess what's in the image and then maybe get it wrong.

Any artist on this forum may browse through the references that are posted here and use 'm in their art or for practice purposes.
The artist will share the art with at least the owner of the chararcter(s) and preferably also in this thread.
The owner of the drawn character may also share the art instead.

[=Palatino Linotype]]This

This will probably take off more once we know what our characters (the ones we bring over from CoH that is) will actually look like in CoT but Brahn Fuhrnos (a.k.a. ChristopherRobin) has a simple enough costume that he should carry over with only minor variation so I'll toss him in.
Note: His eyes are actually green even though the CC didn't have that as an option.

Variety of Amerikatt

Thanks for posting this thread, DeeDee!

Variety of Amerikatt interpretations on Deviantart:
http://www.deviantart.com/?q=amerikatt

(The first one shows very good detail for the front of AK's costume, even though the stars should be pink and she's a cat not a catgirl!)

I absolutely adore the picture that ChristopherRobin did. Besides having such great technical skill, he really caught the essence of Amerikatt, caught in between a leap and flight. It looks like she's dancing (which is *so* in-character for her)!

For the record, Amerikatt's eyes are Amber. Her costume is aubergine (eggplant purple), and her 48 stars are dark pink (like strawberry ice cream).

The new link I gave you for your avatar might fit better here Amerikatt. :)

I'm curious how TA vs. Katsuragi got in there. Oh and you should specify your eye color as some pics have
it gold, others green and one blue. Also of note the Amerikatt depicted twice with Mellisandria
is not actual size... she ummm... she swallowed a 5 gallon tub of tainted ice cream
in order to stop an orphanage full of children from eating it thereby saving the day... I think.

Also there are some missing... you should really collect all the
stray pieces into your own DA gallery sometime. ;)

Thanks for digging out that great picture, CR! My computer at home is now a brick, so I lost all the terrific pictures that people did of AK.

I hope that Foxy Ferret and Mellisandria will be joining us here in City of Tabbies.

For the record, it was 10 lbs. of tainted ice cream -- Wasabi ice cream!

((Actually, I wonder if the artist of that piece got Amerikatt's breed mixed up. She's a Russian Blue, but it appears she was drawn as a British Shorthair, which tend to be a bit on the chubby side!))

NpAK. :) Well maybe I can help with that. Surely by now you know that building and fixing computers
is my real life super power. Send me a PM about what happened to it... after all you're
going to need a working PC when City of Titans... err Tabbies launches.

Well I've already noted both of them on their DA pages. No reply yet. Oh right Wasaaabi
Well the artist is JazzCarmona (easy style to spot) and I am not sure about the why
but if you recall I did actually fix it for you and PM a copy to both you and Melli,
I just never posted it to DA because I don't know Jazz well enough and he
never gave permission. If you lost the "fixed" version to your
computer woes I can post it up to PB for a bit
for you to pull another copy.

Well, I'm not an artist...

Well, I'm not an artist... and I'm not bringing over a character from Ciy of Heroes.... but I Would like to make an Iconic hero for this game... a Titan, as it were.
I've been working on designs (mostly in Champions, my Character Creator du jour) and in the history books (both real world and comic), and I think i've stumbled up an aesthetic I like.

I'm not sure exactly what his powers are, yet... or how he got them.... but I rapidly getting an idea what he looks like. I posted a picture in another thread (linked at the bottom) but I want to explain the character and the costume, first, so that my terrible version acts more like a reference, then the guide.

The Character is in his mid-20s, dark brown-to-black hair. He has a strong jaw and the sort of face that naturally looks sort of broody, but very boyish and cheerful when he smiles. ( Tyler Hoechlin is a good example, with the broody look, or something more like Liam Hemsworth)
He's clean shaven and broad chested.

His outfit comes from several inspirations... but predominantly this sort of look, from the 1700's (you might recognize the personage):

this new look, for a well known hero:

...with just a little bit of these guys:

My character has a 4 could scheme:
A "battleship" or "slate" grey
A darker, flat, "Catalina" or "Egyptian blue
bright "amber" or "goldenrod" bold accents
and
"imperial" red fine accents

The basic outfit is a body-suit and partial mask of battleship grey, with amber/gold gloves and boots. The boots and gloves are tight fitting, with thick bands where they end below the knee and elbow.
The mask/hood is similar in style to the Phantom, with full head covering but an open face. The brow of the mask comes down to meet an amber/gold domino mask that protect's the character's secret identity...

Over this basic form, is a sort of coat (it's a thicker section of the costume, but it's not technically a separate piece) in our "Egyptian" blue. This section of the costume covers the chest (down to the sternum) and both arms, with an unfolded collar around the neck.
In the center of this blue field, is a large (8" diameter, or so?) star-shaped device, similar to ironman's arch reactor. it is raised up from the rest of the costume, slightly, with an imperial red boarder (the star itself glows blue-white). Two smaller, but otherwise identical star devices are attached to each shoulder/upper arm.
Connecting the three stars is a band of amber/yellow.... as if a belt was slid down over his shoulders to hold all three in place.

I know it's sort of wordy, but I really wanted to paint a picture.... before you have to look at my poorly painted picture. If we can all agree to pretend that my colors on the drawing match the colored descriptions I've presented.... that would probably be for the best...

My attempt at drawing his costume

Great picture of DD! Ya. I think that someone messed with Sam and that is a *major* no-no!

CR: Thanks for putting up the revised picture of a much more streamlined Imp of Impervium.

I'm probably going to wind-up getting a new computer for 2015, CR. That gives me 2 years to find a job and save up some $$$. I couldn't even give a single dollar to the CoT KS, so I am *quite* perturbed about that.

Tossing out Ariana....

Tossing out Ariana....
She wears silver braces on all of her joints that have runes etched into them.
When she summons her suit (The Maiden) anything not covered by the silver is coated in a black metal.
Her arms are enormous for hand to hand combat (A bit Like VI from league of legends)
The face of her helmet is a serene sleeping woman.

This feel to the base costume

Arms more like this but bladed fingertips

exoskeleton in silver over the major joint areas (ankles, knees, hips, spine, shoulders, elbows, wrists, neck)

face of the helmet more like

Well, we can't have you

Well, we can't have you running out of requests!
I'll offer you Two and you can decide which one you'd like to try.

This is Perfect Perry:
and a link to his Photobucket Album.

Perry is an Invulnerability/Energy Melee Tanker, a former amateur boxer, and one of the wealthiest young men in the City.

He is my 'anti-Batman', in that everything dark and brooding about the 'Dark Knight' has been turned around and made Light. Perry doesn't hide in the darkness, but strides into battle with a smile and, instead of a 'batcave', he has a nice penthouse apartment. He doesn't have a 'secret identity', he has a 'public persona' and instead of a utility-belt he carries a credit-card.

His costume is deliberately simple, extremely high-quality, with small custom touches. When he's 'at work', he's a one-man Lightshow, with sparkles and flashes and a driving, percussive Beat.

This is Astarte Tsovinaar:
with a link to her Photobucket Album.

She is... a ten-thousand year-old woman, or perhaps only five-thousand, the precise time is irrelevant. Here, I'll post her official Bio:

I can barely remember when I was just a woman, just a girl, but I was one - once.
I can just remember the first time the Goddess came to me, came into me, came over me, filled me, possessed me, spoke through me, and worked miracles through my hands.
And not just one goddess, but all goddesses, who are one goddess, over and over, through time.
I journeyed from place to place and people to people, as time passed.
Goddess-touched, I grew no older, I did not die - I went on.
Filled with power and miracles, I remained powerful.
I was Inanna. I was Ishtar. I was Isis.
I was Ashera, Astarte, Anahit, Artemis.
Many goddesses and one.
But she came less often.
And less often.
And not at all.
I was alone.

For a long time.

Now it is a new time, a new place, with new gods and goddesses.
And I am here.

As 'Tsovinaar' she was worshiped as a goddess in her own right. A goddess of fire and weather and love and war and chaos. Her powers are Fire and Storm, so Freezing Rain plus Rain of Fire becomes 'Rain of Chaos'. Good times.

If I could make her costume again, I'd combine the more modern look, with long hair and 'oriental' coat, And the long veil. You're free to interpret or re-interpret as you like.

Have Fun!
Be Well!

I'm sorry that Photobucket doesn't like your FF, DeeDee. At the least hint of interest, I'd be happy to message/mail you the original pictures from my files. I'm glad that you're taking Perry up, he's my 'main' character, my first 50. Although it took about six years to get him to 50, since I have a LOT of other characters. :)

I use IE for utility, occasionally, as well. Mostly for visiting manufacturer websites and downloading drivers. My primary browser is Firefox.

Incidentally, the initial inspiration for Perry was... Perfect Tommy.

I offer you DJ Kaos! Haven't had time to work on my own, too much fun doing for other people :3

Three outfits to play with. The hands and feet are artificial, linked to the 'meat' with the glowy cybernetic links. Her colors are a pale blue, light teal, and purple accents over black. Eyes are that light teal, glowing in a reticle pattern. She flies and plays with electricity and sound. Wears a headset with mic and large earphones. She has star tattoos in various sizes across her shoulderblades, from her shoulders down to elbows on each arm, across her chest, and down the outside of her right thigh.

Here are some examples! (The thumbnail images don't seem to be working for some reason, but they're still functioning clickable links XD )

Memory? Ummm. why aren't you using 16mbs of RAM my dear? Why? There's no excuse...

Thinking you mean 16GB (Gigabytes) because 16mbs (megabits) is only 2 one thousandths (.002) of a gigabyte or less storage space than what came on a floppy disk. Also few motherboards can hold or properly utilize 16GB (yours can because we chose it well ), many are capped at 8GB or less. Furthermore not all operating systems or browsers can utilize 16GB (neither Chrome nor WinXP for example can utilize more than 4GB).

Regardless of all that 16GB is huge overkill for simple web surfing. I just had a machine that I upgraded a few days back that had only 2GB and could surf the web just fine. Hit {Ctrl+Shift+Esc} on your keyboard in Vista, Win7 or Win8 (or {Ctrl+Alt+Del} in XP or older OS's) to bring up the Task Manager and click the processes tab and find Chrome.exe(*32) to see how little RAM it is actually using/requires.

I have 16GB as well and where having scads of RAM to spare really makes a big difference is during content creation (Photo/Video/3D/Audio editing and rendering) in 64bit capable programs or if you love running dozens of things all at the same time.

While Waterfox (the 64bit variant of Firefox) is my primary browser I also have Chrome which is a good alternative and (IMHO) better than IE currently. It had some difficulties when it first launched but has such a rapid update cycle (they make constant and speedy updates/fixes) that it matured very rapidly. In it's current form it is very nimble and lite on RAM usage. It's also currently the most used browser on the internet being the first and only browser to dethrone IE.

Blah blah I could go on at great length but shall spare you all (this time! ), just wanted to set a few things straight. DD next time I catch you on Skype I'll help you find a fix for what ails your machine on photobucket.

Gbs... Mbs... potato... potaato... just kidding, yes, a typographical error... also I was hinting at 16Gbs so that she has more than she needs. But yes if her motherboard and OS won't take, well then it's NEW COMPUTER TIME!!! (can't touch this...) No money you say? I hear the methlab industry is working miracles in that department. No offense Bobby but if I had to guess it's half a typo and half misunderstanding of the size amounts and the abbreviations that denote them since you have it wrong all three times in this post as well.

You did make a typo in swapping the M (mega) for G (giga) which puts you off by a factor of 1,000 but you are also using a lower case b (bits) instead of uppercase B (bytes) which puts you off by a factor of 8.

To wit: 1GB is 8x more than 1Gb so the 16Gb (gigabits) you keep typing is only 2GB (gigabytes) or one eighth the amount of RAM you are actually trying to convey.

P.S. If I was being really pedantic I would mention the s you are putting at the end is not used when talking quantity even though Bytes are plural i.e. sixteen gigabytes is denoted 16GB not 16GBs. I could also further explain that the abbreviations GBs GB/s and most commonly GBps are more for denoting Gigabytes per second which is a measurement of throughput not size (i.e. I wish my USB thumb drive could move data at 2GB/s)... but I'm totally not going to do that.

P.P.S. Why yes, I am a computer hardware guru and total nerd who's been building custom computers professionally for more than a decade... why do you ask?

They taught proper tech abbreviations in rhetoric class?

No worries GhostHack Bobby and DD are both good friends of mine and both call me when they are thinking of making changes/upgrades to their computers. They know I'm happy to deal with the techie details so they don't have to worry they are missing something and can spend more time focused on making great artz. That said I should point out that both have now built their own computers (DD more than once).

Doesn't mean I can't rib them on occasion and I would not have mentioned the m~g typo at all but the gb ≠ GB is a very common mistake which many are confused by so hopefully people find my post helpful and instructive... if a bit on the silly side.

...and it's Christopher if you please.

I chose not to confront Bobby on his RAM mistake, figuring I knew what he meant anyway, should have known you would! .

Speaking of building computers, like CR, Christopher (not Chris) said, I've been building my own. And am very pleased with the latest update I had (about 1.5 years ago though).
Finally was able to install 64 bit Windows 7, so it allows me to actually use extra RAM for digital drawing (and gaming). I do have to check what my motherboard can take though. No need to spend money on something I can't use .

Wow, Bobby, I never

Wow, Bobby, I never considered what actress would portray her. Her face was just the combination of one amazing set of luminous green eyes, contrasted with dark skin. When I was researching her costume and thinking about her background, I had her pegged as an 'Armenian', but then the story just grew a long, long historical tail.

Frankly, when I try to think of what an ageless ancient demi-goddess might look like, I keep getting Sophia Loren. :)

Definitely someone who is closer to a 'classic' ideal of beauty, rather than the more more modern model.

This picture http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m207/fireheart5150/Astarte%20Tsovinaar/Astarte3.jpg or http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m207/fireheart5150/Astarte%20Tsovinaar/Astarte5.jpg should have enough pixel-depth to allow you to zoom in pretty close... Who does she make You think of?

PS: CR, after you fell and injured yourself, I got Hyperstrike to assist me with assembling my new computer and he took these pics. 16GB for a general use and gaming computer is perfectly wonderful.

Well this is an Artz Request thread and I don't want to fill it with too much talk of tech so I will just briefly say....

Fireheart wrote:

Sorry if you were looking to have me build you one Fireheart but HyperStrike looks to have made some great part choices for you.
I don't build water cooling rigs (not worth the risk to me) but if I did a closed loop H80 would be the way to go for that proc.
I instantly recognized that case. I don't get much call for Lian-Li anymore but they do make nice light Aluminum cases.
Know the mobo too... it might tickle you to know that it's one of extreme socket 2011 boards and can hold up to 64GB of RAM. It also has an upgrade path to Hexa-core (should you want it down the road) with a BIOS update.
It can also take two additional video cards (graphics 3-way!) if you really wanted to go nuts.
The photo of the SSD is too blurry to see which class but I can see it's a 120GB OCZ. I'm guessing from the color of the box either a Vertex3 or V4.

Tough to call more than a year or so out but I would say 8GB will most likely be the sweet spot (CoT is being developed on the Unreal engine as I understand it) and 16GB still the way to go for content creation or extreme multi-tasking assuming a 64bit OS.
Of course said RAM will most likely be DDR4 by then and DDR3 will be on it's way out.
Intel is suggesting that Broadwell might be a soldered BGA package so a Haswell respin/refresh might be all we get for consumer PC's through 2015 so socket obsolescence is less of a concern.

This time next year might actually be the time to buy (or now for those impatient) as the Black Friday/CyberMonday deals will be hitting soon and you can either save some $ or get more PC for your money during the holiday season than at any other time.

Okay back to the Artz!

I was talking with you about having you build it, at that time, but bear in mind, that was a couple of years ago. I'm the one that picked out the parts and the whole point was to be on the bottom rung of the tallest ladder available. I wanted a system with plenty of room to grow. I'd just spent 5 years, trapped on a board with RAMBUS memory and vowed I'd never do that again.

I'm playing and working and writing to you now on that computer.

As for Arts, whenever I see a Champions character, I'm reminded of how very nice their character creator is. DJ Kaos looks cool.

Uh yeah lost that whole exchange when the forums died and I've done so many builds & consults since then.
"You" made some fine part choices then and glad if I was some help to you in that regard.
Bottom rung on the highest ladder aptly sums up that build. Lots of room to grow.
Cheers!

The CC in CO was a bit too shiny/plastic/cartoonish for my tastes
when it launched. I'm sure it's matured considerably since then.

Apparently Perry uses the same tailor (from the waist down)
and goes to the same barber (SuperCuts? ) as Brahn.

Just like the character pics,

Just like the character pics, I didn't just choose that face for the chin and cheekbones. Green-green eyes and curly platinum hair.

Bio:
Inspired by a line from the Buckaroo Banzai movie, Perfect Perry isn’t really perfect, but he has developed himself to such a level of excellence that most people can’t tell the difference.

Peregrine Lucius Smythe, wealthy scion of SmytheCo, is bored and takes up Boxing & Martial Arts. Quite successful as an amateur, but his natural gifts and intense training cause his skills and power to build exponentially, until it is no longer ‘fair’ to fight ‘normals’. So he drops out.

Then, an attempted robbery goes frightfully sour for the thugs, when Perry decides not to stand for it. Perry realizes he can be a Hero and signs up using his old boxing moniker, ‘Perfect Perry’.

Perry is an ‘anti-Batman’ – every dark, tortured aspect of Wayne’s world is transformed to light in Perry’s. He doesn’t have a ‘secret identity’, he has a ‘public persona’ and keeps his private life private – as much as the paparazzi will let him. He is not motivated by revenge, his family is alive and as well as might be expected. Perry is a hero because he Can, because the work is there to be done and a sense of noblesse oblige calls him to do it.

He doesn’t have a spooky car/plane/boat/motorcycle/pogo-stick… well, actually, he does have a couple of nice cars, but they are for Driving not crime-fighting, and if he needs to fly somewhere he hires a plane, or takes the company jet. He does not have a utility-belt and costume loaded with gimmicks and gadgets for every situation, Perry’s power is self-contained.

He does not live in a cave, he has a nice apartment in town (several actually) as well as one of those carbon-fibre and diamond, Black Cards that make the snooty maitre’s of top-tier hotels and restaurants go weak in the knees. Perry has no hate, no fear, no needs that he cannot supply easily and in abundance. In Paragon City, the ‘city of heroes’, even his need for meaningful work is supplied in abundance – to ‘get ahead’ all he needs is to go out and Do It.

As a result, Peregrine Smythe and Perfect Perry are both happy, positive people who believe in the power of self-improvement, education, will, and hard work to achieve anything.

Perfect Perry is an Invulnerability/Energy Melee Tanker. The ‘lightshow’ that manifests when he is ‘working’ comes from his intensely concentrated ‘will’, magnified by skill and training until his internal energy is a palpable force.

Perry’s costume looks simple (and it is!), but every part is a custom-made, tailored, ‘bespoke’ item, of which he has multiple-dozens of sets, scattered about the city. Cotton-silk t-shirts and dress-boots with athletic-rubber soles are not common items, even if one shops at Icon. (Serge applauds Perry’s impeccable taste, even while utterly deploring the stark simplicity of the outfit.)

His father, John Harrier Smythe was CEO of SmytheCo, which was part of the Kings Row fabric consortium that developed the Hero Cloth (tm) process. -"Now you can dress like a Hero"- However, his compulsive nature and poor skills as a company manager, have rendered him a neurotic wreck and he is now committed to a private sanitarium. Perry's mother took advantage of the man's debility and ran off with the pool-man - they now live (well) on the French Riviera. However, SmytheCo has an excellent board of directors and competent managers, so Peregrine is content to allow them to operate the multi-national with only occasional input from their dynamic young CEO.

Be Well!

Got a few characters ya'll

Got a few characters ya'll might want to practice on. :) First One's Persona, from the On Patrol RP.
Her colors are caucasian, chestnut brown hair, brown eyes, White shirt with green embroidery around the collar, blue jeans, black boots, silver belt, black character sheet belt pouch, silver ankh necklace, silver hair twister with a silver comedy/tragedy mask and purple bead charm, silver bracelet with an amethyst d20 charm. The star is peridot green lineart, the heart is silver lineart.

Next one's Lapis (my main on CoH and my first heroine). Those are all her colors, if you're wondering what those tiny things on her collar are, they're faince feathers, like Ma'at's.

Last, but not least is Sauembast. She's a magical girl character of mine from a M&M PbP over on RPG.net. Here's her first transformation post for colors/details (and an interesting read, I hope). She shook the sistrum in a shaa shaa shashashaa beat and sang in an alto voice "Know me as I am, I am wild, wrapped in feline fur and one of their kin. Know that my balance will always be there, as I have Bast within..." The sistrum radiated a light as bright as the sun, spreading to Opal's form and making it a silohuette. Light cats jumped out of the sistrum, landing on behind her as the sistrum floated out of her outstretched hand, her form looking like it was tied to a ankh, and landed a few feet in front of her, standing upon end. From out of nowhere, a lionness of light appeared and swiped at the sistrum, making it spin on its handle vertically. The cats rubbed up against her, her 1 1/2" heel white boots forming, they stretched up to her butt, and her black egyptian mau tail came cascading out of her as her white, green and gold shift dress formed. They jumped up to her shoulders and her skin became the dusky tan that the people of Kemet were born with. They walked to her wrists and batted at her hands, and her gold, malachite, and hematite wrist cuffs formed and her nails became pointy clawlets. The Lionness swiped at her waist, and her green and gold wrap belt formed there and the overhang fell to just below the knee-length of her shift dress. The cats walked back to her head, pawing her neck and head, and her human ears disappeared. In their place (and up father on her head) were black mau ears. On her neck was a golden collar with an ankh hangtag, and where they stood was a black and gold Eye of Ra broadcollar. The lionness circled her and then swiped at her face, which caused the cats to abruptly jump off, their tails brushing against her mau ears and forming gold Bast earrings. As the lionness swiped, she formed a golden uraeus with a carnelian sundisk circlet, changed Opal's eyecolor to a emerald green, forming the black kohl eye makeup that is seen in egyptian art, her hair to a dark brown with green and gold beads woven in every 2" or so in her now down hair, her tail swished and hit the front of the boots, forming winged scarabs on the top of the cuff. The cats ran down her back, forming a Bast aegis counterpoise to the broadcollar, then immediately jump and land on her arms, forming her silver and gold eyes of Ra armlets before jumping again into the spinning sistrum, making it staff sized. By this time the lionness is circling her. "...Bast within, glory, cat-child, you are sacred know your worth! Run along and spread your dreams across the earth! You are stronger than the bleakest night, let flame pulse through your heart!" At this point the lionness pounces, Opal grabs the staff and blocks the lionness, making it form the huge carnelian sundisk of the now golden ankh staff with a golden winged scarab with malachite, lapis lazuli, hematite, and golden feathers for the loop. The crossbar are a pair of golden winged uraei wearing the carnelian red crown of lower egypt with their bodies wrapping around the staff 4 times tightly at the top. "Firey cat-child struggle with all your might and rip your bonds apart!" With that, she twirled her 6' staff in her hand and the light exploded forth, revealing her in fully transformed self.

"Khuwi muti iryet ra! Khuwi netyu meruwi iryet ra! I am Sauembast, scion of balance! All those who serve the Uncreated will be punished by the Eye of Ra, Bast and those who serve her!" She announced and posed in a ready stance.

Well I am trying to

Well I am trying to understand the reasoning behind picking those sleeves?

Let me elaborate. My current style is a completely digital painted look, (please see my own thread here to understand) not a comic book black line with color, which is a more traditional superhero depiction. Nor is it the obviously anime influences your character has... so when I see her, and read about her, I imagine her depicted to be more realistic.

So initially I see her large blue hair becoming a full lion's mane (yes even though your character is based on a panther). She could have human hair ala a classic anthropomorphic look, but I wanted to add more animal to her then her face.

So I see her blue striped legs and chest being real fur texture, just in blue in place of the black say on a tiger.

Her gloves could still end in claws and I could make the torso into a kind of armorish/loin cloth thing... with the gold being the tunic, and the blue, being her fur showing on the sides. Could be very sexy. And since you suggested Pam Grier was an influence, that was who I intended to make the likeness of...

But then your sleeves throw me completely off, cause they're very flowery. I don't think it would fit my vision, so if I kept them, it might not look right.

I mean yes I could draw a comic book version, with anime influences. My only problem with that is, I don't work in that format any more, and to me I see it as a regression from the digital painted look I prefer to work in.

I do these mostly for exercise, and keep " in shape " artistically with the style I am trying to get better with...

Anyway, those are my thoughts, if they conflict too much with your character, then I don't want to bother you.

Ah, all righty, that's fine

Ah, all righty, that's fine by me. I love seeing different interpretations of Funka's form, heheh but do make sure her mane keeps a bit "Afroyness" to it though, just to give her that 70's sort of look. X3

Quite happy to see so many

Quite happy to see so many familiar faces once again. While I never posted much I always loved seeing the art folks did of their chars. Very generous of the artists to do this.

Hello everyone! Thought I'll

Hello everyone! Thought I'll post my first (and only) lvl 50 char, the ultimate mythical Fighting Patriot! I always had severe Alt-ris and always created new heroes and villains almost every week when a new idea came to mind but ol' Pat was so fun to play with that we managed to reach lvl 50 together. CoH was such a great game, I played it for the best part of my early teens that now that it's gone I feel like my childhood went away with it...but enough of that, city of titan is such a blessing and giving CoH fans a second chance to recapture the good times so I'm happy to see new and old faces here.

For City of Titan I would like to update Pat's costume to resemble aesthetic details of Guardian's costume in Young Justice such as the armor but while still keeping the original design.

Is that the helmet you like,

Is that the helmet you like, or would it be shaved off at the top to show hair like the original? Would the bottom be more mask like, or do you prefer the pointed nose guard? Also is the collar of this piece to be added? Or is what you're looking for this collar and helmet on the old body.

If you picked an actor to portray him, Hollywood would have a nightmare, cause you are covering his eyebrows, hair, and nose, and those will make it hard for the audience to recognize him... Yes I know how stupid that sounds... but it is one of the differences to be made between old face and new one...

That is to say the new helmet will very much change the look of your old character more drastically then the collar.

Do you think it's best not to

Do you think it's best not to change anything to the costume and just have it like the pictures?

If you think the armor will actually be in improvement then I would like to see the collar and chest armor be added to the original design, just extend the armor to cover his whole chest rather then just his pecs. The armor should be mixed with the blue in Fighting Patriot's costume while the white be the long sleeve similar to Guardian's.

At first I did want Guardian's helmet added on but having it changed into blue and showing hair like the original costume. Having the helmet show his ears as well. If the helmet looks weird, silly or too close to Cap's Marvel Now costume than I think it would be best to keep the mask as it is.

Other than that, I would like to keep Fighting Patriot's costume as close as possible to the pictures. Hope I'm not being difficult and thank you for the feedback :D

Well this discussion is for

Well this discussion is for any artist wanting to draw him, I haven't committed to doing him... lol just kidding, no I think I can accommodate your needs, I just wanted to clarify what you prefer... let me do some tests, but first I have to finish 1 or 2 projects. Also anything I come up with will be in my own thread, not here... but we can carry on the discussion there, when I post some studies...

To practise drawing females I'll have a go at one of Siweyenbast's chars. Not sure which one just yet, but I'll let it be known as soon as I do!
