Thanks for the update! Especially looking forward to the online component integration. Keep up the great work.
Long ago backer and a very occasional lurker checking in.
Keep at it and keep going at your own pace. You folks keep plugging away at it until it is ready.
I do hope you are paying attention to the SoH launch and learning what you can from it. I bear them no ill will at all and maybe they can find a path to turn things around. For their sakes, I hope so. But I definitely don't want to see CoT land the same way when it is finally ready to go out the gate. So I trust you are paying attention and learning from their apparent mistakes.
Reality is what I make it
Yea they are dead in the water. I think CoT is miles ahead already just in the visual department...though admittedly that's not really saying much. I think CoT's movement is getting better, the clips of the improved movement look better than what we currently have so that's promising. The fx are going to be a MAJOR factor. CoH's fx fit the game, SoH's did not...at all, it looks so bad and I don't even know if i can put my finger on exactly why because its likely multiple things. I don't want to be too critical of some of CoT's fx I've seen both in the build available to us and in clips of things not available to us...doesn't look good but its still early (early after 10+ years?) and I think it was placeholder stuff. But its still a huge question mark with this game....so many years into development and we still know so little
Compulsively clicking the refresh button until the next update.
One thing is true: it's better to delay and release something "ready," well, than to rush and be bad and not attract players...
I'm just a little worried about it being released visually outdated. I prefer an MMORPG to be consistent, playable, and necessarily have good graphics (especially since my PC isn't as powerful these days), but many people value the visuals.
I'm still waiting! And please, it's better to charge a low monthly fee than to make it "free" (p2w)!
Do you already have any idea what kind of equipment (minimum recommendations and ideas) you'll need to play?
