Thank you! I had just been

Thank you! I had just been asking about the contents of that post.

The joking portion in the center aside, is this the current layout / user interface for the avatar builder? I’ve seen bits and pieces of it before, and I was told there would be a more in-depth update about it in the future, but I’m mainly being curious. I’m enjoying speculating what some of the different icons could represent.

As an aside, I may have just been late to the party and not known half of this stuff because I’ve been avoiding certain (lore) posts.

Regardless, it looks nice - so for what it’s worth, great job!

That is the current UI. We are still making adjustments, but this is generally what the Avatar Builder will look like when the game gets into testing.

for a look at it in action we have a video here: https://cityoftitans.com/content/where-we-stand-avatar-builder

Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.

I'm glad that, in spite of the more realistic texturing, you've managed to avoid the Uncanny Valley.

I'll definitely need a GPU with more "oomph", though.

Yeah everyone always seems to think the way you beat the Uncanny Valley is to make CGI more detailed and realistic:

Leave it to MWM to come up with a simple solution that exploits the artistic expertise that every 4 year old possesses. There's going to be no way we'll have any problem with the Uncanny Valley under this bold new artistic direction. ;)

But keep in mind, the price of CoST increases. As the costs for the revamped version increased as well.

Okay, serious question: Will

Okay, serious question: Will we be able to frown as well as smile? I mean, I like the smile, but what if I've got a villain character who's had a bad day?

If bending the mouth line is something the game engine can't handle, maybe you could just spin the head so it's upside down? I guess that would put the eyes too low, but I could probably live with that, so long as I didn't have to be all smiley and happy for every character concept.

Just asking. Not a big deal either way. More excited about this game all the time.

Which buys a chance at winning a frown expression from the gacha...
