Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

Viewing Survey Selected KS Perks

Is there a way to view what items I had chosen? I was an 'All Your Base' level backer, and this tier includes "Geocatcher." I was catching up on my backlog of updates for this kickstarter, and it looks like Geocatcher survey may have gone out? I know Mogul went out for certain, but am unclear on Geocatcher.

Then it occurred to me I may not have selected it during the KS Perk Survey many months ago, and I went on an adventure trying to find a way to see what I had chosen, but was unable to find a way to confirm this. I have well over 100 archived items for this KS, but none of them provide me the info i'm looking for.

Is it possible to verify the selections I made during the KS Survey? This will allow me to determine if I even need to wonder if the Geocatcher survey went out and I missed it.

I apologize if his question has been asked and answered on the forums; I did search, but I was unable to locate anything.

I'm still here.

I would also like something

I would also like something like this. I donated for the geocacher level and like Nafu what I've been reading seems to indicate that has gone out and been done but I haven't seen any information on it. I don't recall ever seeing a survey with any information. Would it be possible to send an e-mail with confirmation of rewards chosen and sent? A personalized KS reward update?

I also sent an e-mail to the "if you have questions about the kickstarter" address listed in the KS update e-mail. I have not gotten a reply.

I also came in at Geocatcher and I believe I bought I Know A Guy. I haven't received a survey yet.

It's been well over four years now since they started - that is a long time to wait. As you say hopefully MWM will still be able to launch -despite- your lack of financial support.

That being said the only way any donator could be "burned" by CoT is if it ultimately doesn't launch. Since we have no proof it's NOT going to launch there's no basis for feeling burned yet. Remember MWM never promised any exact "launch by date" so technically if it takes them 50 more years to deliver they won't be in violation of anything we might have "paid" for or not.

If you're actually talking about whether or not people got their physical CoT t-shirts/mousepads YEARS ago then you must be leading a charmed life not to have anything else to worry about. Sure the swag was nice but I honestly didn't care if I got it or not. I know I -did- get my stuff years ago but I'm frankly not sure if I still have any of it - giving money to MWM at the time was more important to me. The game is all I cared (and still care) about.

For the record. My issue was "resolved" I have yet to miss out on a reward.

I've come to view Kickstarter for what it is. Low dollar venture capitalism. Sometimes you make it big. Sometimes you make your money back. Sometimes it takes a really long time and you make your money back. Sometimes, a lot of the time, you make some or none of what you invested. When I first invested I was worried, I fretted all the time (still do, just not about the money). I worried that my investment was wasted. After seeing their work over the past 4 years. I'm not worried. Yeah it sucks it's taking a long time, but it's doing better than my mortgage over the same time. I'm not worried though. I know eventually something will come of this. At the very least my investment has played some role in spurring on development of 3 successor projects.

For me Kickstarters like this one are somewhere between pure capitalism and simple dog track betting. The only real "rule" I imposed on myself when I donated to this was I just made sure I could, as a worse case scenario, afford to lose every penny I gave and not get -anything- back for it.

Obviously I decided to have a little blind faith in MWM and the signs continue to look hopeful. The proof will of course be in the pudding so-to-speak.

I would like to have access

I would like to have access to this, just to have visual confirmation that MWM and I are on the same page and we both know what I expect to get as perks. I did get a survey, I think, and it was really clunky and the webpage that it pointed to is gone now. I would like to have a private "your perk level and add-ons" section on this site in the "MyAccount" tab.

This. I hardly follow Star Citizen but I put some money into it, and every time I go back (like once every 6 months) I can re-affirm what I bought. This provides me with a measurable sense of comfort and certainty, and would be beneficial here as well. It looks like this is being looked into now, based on another thread.

I know in the last 15 years or so I've been with two different co-workers who were both ticketed by Air Force MPs for going through two different stop signs on the base we work at. The sad coincidence was that in both cases my co-workers in question did actually reasonably stop at their respective signs but apparently neither one had stopped long enough to satisfy either of the MPs in question.

So yeah I can attest to some MPs having, at the very least, no sense of leniency. ;)

Having been ticketed for the very same offense. I can attest that a rolling stop is not an actual stop. I knew I did it and paid the price. It was just bad timing or luck, that I was spotted and cited.

Fun fact: one of the problems

Fun fact: one of the problems self-driving cars have to deal with is other drivers performing "rolling" stops. The AI doesn't actually see a stop, and since passenger safety is top priority, simply waits at the stop sign as several other cars roll through. You can bet that when self-driving cars show up, other drivers will observe these bugs and take advantage of them.

Uber, on the other hand, considers things like stopping at a red light to be a QoL feature they can put in later. It'll be interesting to see how manufacturers compete on the AI-aggressiveness front and how many people hack their cars to just blow through everything.

Has anyone seen my mind? It was right here...

Right I get a "rolling stop" is not a true stop and I'll take your word that you knew what you did was wrong. But what I'm telling you here is that both of my friends literally came to otherwise reasonable FULLY NON-MOVING stops and still got tickets. I was in the passenger seat both times and I'm pretty sure I can tell the difference between a rolling stop and a real one. I've highlighted my own words you quoted where I mentioned that.

To be clear my point was that if we had been in the "real world" (as in not on a military base at the time) I'm quite sure what my friends did would not have been considered "rolling stops" by average non-military police. In both cases we came to full stops but maybe for only about 2 or 3 seconds worth each. One of the MPs in one of these situations unequivocally explained that they literally expected what he called a "5 second stop with no exceptions" and was hyper-specific about that being the reason the ticket was being issued.

Basically I already had reasonable respect for any law enforcement officer but I've learned that MPs generally play the "absolutely no BS" card to the extreme.

I look at it this way: The CoT Kickstarter happened over 4 years ago now. If you actually still "care" about any money you spent over 4 years ago then maybe you shouldn't have thrown money at a MMO game Kickstarter in the first place. Sure I'd be disappointed if CoT doesn't ever happen, but then again I don't remember how much money I spent on restaurants last week. *shrugs*

For people like you and me Kickstarters are not "investments" as much as they are "lottery tickets". Do you worry about money you spend on lottery tickets when you likely only had a one in a billion chance of winning anyway? At least with CoT I think our odds are a little better than one in a billion.

The devs seem to be putting a lot of work in, and there's updates every month(ish? Right?). There's supposed to be an Alpha soon™ isn't there? I remember it being something like fall this year, but no clue if that's still the case or I'm misremembering...

But anyway all I can say is "Oh no! A game type that takes a long time to make (well) by a team of professionals backed by big budget game studios is taking a long time to make by people without all that stuff!(dunno about how much professional experience the dev team has)" Like, what did you expect? A huge project like this to be slapped together in a year or so?

The goal posts have always been fluid from what it looks like. With a winter 2018 release they are still contending with building block level issues. We have no idea if a Character Creator will be available anytime soon. That will be the herald of shipping doom (in the good sense). The real problem will be the integration of all the components and thorough testing prior to release. We are essentially on the 12 month clock now, so good luck.

You're correct that we really don't know when anything is going to be opened for beta testing much less final release. But according to everything I've read here the Devs have always made it clear that they wanted to release the standalone Character Creator app long before the actual game was launched. So we do have some reasonable assurance that -once- the Character Creator is up and running there's a good chance that within 3-6 months the game itself will follow.

Now since the Devs have been teasing the idea of "End of 2018" for the game itself that seems to suggest that the character creator should be released (at least as a beta) sometime around mid-2018. Therefore my official "start to worry about it" date is going to be around July 2018 - if we don't see any hint of the character creator by then that's when I'll start to worry about the "End of 2018" estimate as well.

Considering MWM is not a billion dollar company like blizzard 4 years is actually pretty good speed in developing a game. I agree with lothic don’t dwell on the negative let’s put some positive energy towards this project and just wait and see what will happen .

Being honest, if the character generator is not in active testing by March, then we will need to revisit the launch date. That is me being honest. The current issues with it seem relatively minor however, being isolated to the interface between it and the core server, so I'm not worried.

Well I was trying to give you -some- wiggle room. But if you think March is more likely than July for the character generator then that's fine with me. ;)

That would be truly awesome

That would be truly awesome if the Character Creator was available around March. I'm totally "jonesing" for another good super hero game. I really haven't found one since CoH was shut down...

Mind Freeze makes a good point. I've seen AAA MMOs take around a 5 year development cycle before they hit the beta phase. MWM has made some nice progress so far with a limited team and resources.

I thought the character creator will be launched arounf end of 2017 ^^ That's what is understood in the PAX interview.

The difference between target and worst case scenario. PAX was anticipated dates, while March is the "if we don't hit this, we're off-target"

Right, so it should appear somewhere between "now" and March?

I'm sad to hear the character

I'm sad to hear the character creator is still in process but appreciate the clarification on the launch date. I hope you are able to bring it online with minimal snags as you have expressed. So, keep up the good work, including these updates.
It's this kind of discussion that makes me wish I could have helped in the original KS and more than happy to fund any upcoming one.

I've found the user's email on a blacklist. The offending post has been deleted and the user muted until they give an indication that they are actually human. Thanks for pointing them out.
