Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Sidekick system?

Maybe I overlooked this subject, but I was wondering if the game will have something similar to city of hero's sidekick system? Aside from having an amazing community already, the sidekick system really helped friends or even strangers guide new players along, this also encouraged making alts and helping one another level up without necessarily allowing straight up power leveling. Here's an in depth look at how that system worked. http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Sidekick

My problem with most mmo's is that if you fall behind a friend, you're stuck playing catch up and can't play with them until probably end game, which can be frustrating and demotivating for some people. The sidekick/lackey system helped tremendously with circumventing this to a large degree. It would be nice to see something like this be put in city of titans, and I don't think it would be too terribly difficult to do. Basically it just makes the sidekick/lackey 2 levels lower than their mentor stat wise as long as they didn't stray more than 225 feet away. They sidekick/lackey would still however, only have the abilities and enhancement slots and enhancements for their level, so it was unlikely you were going to take a side kick with you on extremely difficult task forces or certain missions set to the highest difficulty, which is understandable, but it was still nice doing casual missions with your friends and not get completely left in the dust.

For me, it made the role play elements of the game feel more alive as well.

What do you guys think? Yay or nay? If you think this should be in the game or something like it, what are your suggestions for adding to or changing the concept?

The only similar mechanic I

The only similar mechanic I've encountered is the way GW2 auto-exemplars characters based on the local area, which can change from one part of a zone to another.

Super-Sidekicking is what

Super-Sidekicking is what made the system so powerful you began to wonder why other games didn't adopt the mechanic en masse. Whoever has the currently active Mission ... everyone gets Sidekicked/Exemplared to their Level automagically ... no fuss, no muss. It meant that ANY group could be a Pick Up Group with no logistical hassles of pairing up characters on the team within a particular Level band.

It's barely a faceplant from there to allow entire ZONES to essentially do the same thing to Players/Teams, where presence within a Zone imposes a Level Cap (below max) on PCs within that Zone (ala Guild Wars). You're basically building off the same mechanics and just building in an extra conditional into the programming to check. Keeps things streamlined and simple, and makes it so that Anyone Can Team With Anyone barring any sort of Hero vs Villain teaming preventions.

The Sidekick System allowed

The Sidekick System allowed me to team-up with my guildies and in-game friends, regardless of our level disparity, and made the game even more fun!

I hope that City of Tabbies will allow us to do the same thing. After all, soloing may be fun, but a kitty clowder is even more fun!
