Terrance watched as the hologram changed. 'That'll work better...I'd mess with the design, but this is just a beta test, right? We can reuse it if this version doesn't work, so let's try this one,' he said. The exterior was kind of featureless, but function was his goal now, not form. The pretty stuff could wait.

"Yes, I think you might be able to." His voice was quite similar to that of Hugh Laurie, but not the American-accented House version; somewhere between Jasper in "101 Dalmatians" and Bertie Wooster. He show his tablet, which now displayed a close-up of Signy picking one of the lizards up. "Do you know this girl?"

"we need to save them!" came Mar's voice as he came to the lab. "They are alone! They Misfits like us!"

"Very good. If I didn't know better I'd believe you." Jake tapped the right edge of the screen three times, and now the close up was of a dark skinned man in a t-shirt, stone flowing up over his legs. "Sorry, can't really see your face from that angle. But to answer your question, I'm Jacob Hannery, Signy's father. I'm hoping I can leave a gift here for her as I'd really rather not deal with my ex." He gestured towards the Shelter down the street, then pulled a flat, almost-square package the size of a DVD-ROM case and wrapped in green-holly-on-red paper.

"Wait, what, who? Who do we have to save, what misfits?" Laurn blinked and gave Mar and very confused look, he had been listening to the whole thing via the intercom... He loved being the tech guy... The facial recognition checked out on him, "Hm..." He went back to Mar... "Are you talking about the christmas special with that elf dentist?" Laurn asked, in the back of his head he was trying to remember how the law handled contact between estranged parents... Mrs. McCallister would definitely want to know, and Laurn was properly frightened of her, in the manner one respectfully feared their mother, definitely contact her about it...

Terrance had been pondering about making this new suit when Mar burst in. Terrance was so startled that he nearly fell over! 'Relax Mar, it's just a movie. They put it on at this time every year...unless someone's actually found an island of misfit toys this year...well it happened once, but that was years ago and it was more like a peninsula of sentient fabric swatches. More importantly, did you see it on T.V, or are people outside yelling about it?' he asked as he knelt down to Mar.

Cam accepted the package and set it down on a small table inside the clocktower. "You don't want to stick around and see Signy? She's on Christmas Break at the moment. I'm sure we could figure out a way for that to happen without Ms. McAllister getting involved."

Cam stepped aside to let him in, then showed him to an area where he could sit down. He then headed out of the clocktower and down the street to the shelter. That was the most obvious place to look for Signy since she wouldn't be at school. He wasn't sure what the drill was, so he knocked on the door.

Jake accepted Laurn's hand. "Don't blame you a bit. But if she's asked for any...restraining orders, I think you yanks call it? it would be news to me. If you are worried about it, though, you may want to ask her yourself. Sorry, but I didn't catch your name..."

Evaine answered the door, and without even a "Happy Christmas" began questioning Cam. "How can he be here? He's supposed to be in prison still! Oh, I hope he didn't do something [I]else[/I] stupid..." It would seem she was already aware of Jake's presence...

Evaine gave Cam a smile that was only slightly forced. "I'm not [I]mad[/I], I'm just...concerned. And confused. And... " She stopped and took a deep breath. "Signy? There's someone we need to go see over at the Clocktower. Grab that first batch of cookies, please?" She held her finger up to her lips, to warn Cam that she wanted to keep [I]who[/I] it was a secret.

In the Kitchen, Signy asked Cathy to take over watching the oven, took off her apron, picked up the tray of cookies (sugar cookies with frosting, in various shapes and colors) and headed out to the Front Door. She gave an inquisitive look to both her mother and to Cam. Evaine just smiled.

Cam waved to Signy and motioned for her in a ladies first fashion, then caught Evaine's arm to slow her down just a tad as they walked. He leaned over and whispered in her ear. "He said, and I quote 'I don't want to deal with my ex.' Is it a good idea for you to be tagging along?"

'Oh, yeah, okay. Hey Mar, come look at this, it'll be my new suit...but it's missing something. If we put our heads together, figuratively speaking, I'll bet we can work out what it is,' Terrance said as he motioned to the console. It was a well-designed suit, but he knew that he could add something to it. The only problem was working out what. A remote scout drone maybe? No, too obvious. Besides, there were plenty of others who were better suited to the job. Still, a way to spy in the girl's locker room discreetly might come in handy...

Tobias followed them out the door and across the street. This seemed odd, Signy hadn't talked much about her father, but the feelings didn't seem to be angry. Tobias on the other hand still thought it might be dangerous to meet his girlfriends father; Tobias actually didn't know how dangerous it could be, or if that was actually what they were. He paused, though still followed after them, wondering if she might not want company. Tobias sighed loudly and followed, atleast there was the cookies excuse.

"Oh, I'd say roughly sixty-two hundred, probably goes up to seven thousand when you consider a few pocket spaces. Once Kami gets trained better, we'll be able to double the bed space." He lead Jake up the meta stair case closest to the garage, which was on the right side of the base, now that they'd turned around. He countinued around the walk way, past the library and a sparring mat and up to the Junior Living quarters. "Signy lives elsewhere, obviously, but in events that might require her to stay, this is her room. She's gotten a little chance to customize it. She's part of our active team." He explained, heading over to the room marked with S. McCallister, there wasn't a second name in the other placard. Laurn was still trying to play good host.

Kami was still making Rune Cookies for Yule, now she was making Laguz, since that kinda looked like a candy cane? A geometric Candy Cane... Plus putting other runes together. Thankfully, unless there were magical ingredients in the cookies, this was probably safe. She hummed quietly, it almost sounded like something Norse, though with just one person humming there wasn't much to discern from it.

Laurn shrugged, glancing at the scair well where the spiral stair case entered the second floor. "Nah, this is the living area anyway. We don't really have a sitting room, fifteen televisions, no sitting room. Oh, the front has a great view of the city from the Living room, but we'll be right here when she comes up." He thumbed back towards the column of tubes and gears, that went from the basement floor to the top of the tower, the single flight of spiraling stairs attached to it.. "Dining area's over there." He pointed past the spiral stair case to the long table. "Standing is good too..."

As they entered Tobias could hear voices coming from up stairs, muffled only a bit by the foliage, the metal of the stairs and the walk conducted the sound well. Tobias smiled back at Evaine, a bit nervously, then realized he was nervous. He stuffed his hands in his leather jacket pockets and tried to look like he wasn't worried, or annoyed. It didn't work since he was wondering if prison really did make people meaner... Tobias blinked and waved at Garrett.

"I honestly didn't do anything, cept bought some flour." He shrugged, waving at Garrett. "Happy christmas, early, ish. Late yule though."

As Signy and Evaine came up the stairs, Jake was momentarily distracted by a subtle vibration. Pulling his phone out, he noted a distinct lack of bars. No matter, he had more than an hour. He put his phone away, told Garrett, "Pleased to meet you," and then looked over at the two women. "Evaine..." he whispered.

Evaine strode over to him. "First things first: Did you break out?"

"No! I am out on parole. I even have permission to come see my daughter. Although I think they - my employers - intended that with this fancy Black phone they'd be able to reach me at any time...."

Signy was not slow, even though it had been a dozen years since she'd seen this man last. "Daddy?" She ran over and almost tackled him.

Tobias stood back and noticed nothing, just watching quietly from somewhere slightly out of sight. Her father was large, though Tobias suspected if myth served, he might end up about the same when he was finished growing. Right now, he was short, and the man was a bit intimidating, though Tobias decidedly imagined himself as the bad boy. He held onto the cookies while Signy tackle hugged her father. He smiled quietly and glanced at Evaine, glad nothing dangerous had occurred.

Laurn was rightfully excited for a moment, either the socks or the electronics would have been liked. He grinned, for a moment before he could respond the thought was interrupted.

Technosis' wrist device went off, he glanced at it and tapped a few buttons. "Oh... Kay..." He said slowly, his gauntlet registering the shift in space-time, it didn't know where, just that it happened. Worst of all, with the shift, the Machina Mana node didn't come with. It was geologically locked in place, five stories above the pit where the building was, perfectly removed, foundation and all.

Technosis, inside gritted his teeth. He pulled a blue tooth device from his pocket and put it to his ear. "Comm, Garage PA. Guys, lock down the garage doors NOW. We've shifted somewhere else, don't know where but the tower just warned me." His voice would come over the comm just about the a second after Terrance told Mar to get them. "Begin printing whatever working model you have, the carbon fibre should do for now, good cold resistance as well." He added, expecting danger. "Bad timing around here..." He added, his finger off the call button, talking to the room now.

Outside, Kami was immediately aware of something off. Not only could she feel the energy from the Machina Mana even stronger than before, she felt the sudden, powerful and ebrupt ripple of magical energy from the building being displaced. She shuddered and stood up. "Oh, um... Here..." She handed the cookie cutter to one of the other kids helping. "Can I have Atrox back please?" She asked gently, then fairly insistantly took the lion away and pulled her staff out, heading out the door to see the base gone.

The Machina Mana node pulsed quietly, letting out feint rings, and eventually more complicated wire frame shapes into the air around it. It was five stories up, so as the pulsing shapes drifted around they bumped into the neighboring building, or faded before they hit the ground. Kami stared quietly, this was not good. Snowflakes appeared too though...

Terry was out on patrol, he didn't like anything happening around this time of year, so he patrolled more often, when his father or the wanderers weren't gathering. He'd learned to sense quite a bit since he started, and the Machina Mana served as a constant energy node to point him back home. It was easier to feel that huge source of energy from far off than to do all the weird eye movements to navigate through the new computer HUD Technosis installed, he needed noticed the spike and turned. A punch to the jaw taking him off guard, and another Pyro blasting him with fire from the other side.

Terry's energy blocked the flames, but he didn't see the punch. He gritted his teeth and let out a burst of energy, knocking the two into the walls of the alley. He zipped them up and sent another message to the police for pick up, then jetted up until he could see the tower, the warehouses, occasional house, business and storage silo didn't go above the clock tower by the docks, but that wasn't there, just a pulsing green disc, atleast it looked like a disc from here.

As soon as the warning came through the P.A, Terrance initiated the printing process and rushed about, locking down anything he could. When Oumm burst in, Terrance spun around to face him. 'I don't know where or what that is, but I think we've got bigger problems. I don't know what those problems are, but I think they're coming now...'

Cam trotted over to a console and tapped into the external camera feeds from the security network. He set it to cycle the feeds, changing the image every 10 seconds, then brought the combined feed up on the nearest large viewscreen so that everyone could see what was outside.

Cam had seen the Lego-bot on the feed just before Tobias called it in, so he was already headed up the stairs. He got to the third floor, cranked open a window, and poked his head out. As the bot tore apart the stone with single-minded purpose, it didn't notice as the chunks from the wall streamed up into the air. The stream of stone rose to Cam's outstretched hand and formed into a great stone ball. He whistled loudly and the Lego-bot stopped, looking up at the noise. Instead of seeing Cam, all it saw was five hundred pounds of stone plummeting towards its face.

Mar looked at the monitors. "But ... but the toys in the show were good toys. Why are these attacking us? And they are big!" Indeed the toys were larger than normal stuffed multi colored bears standing 7 feet high, with odd patches on the bellies started to form up, Carebear knockoffs.

Oumm turned and headed for the door. "Assessment complete, Mecha Mana can not be contained again until dimensional distortion is corrected. New objective, defend tower and support means or returning to proper dimensional alignment."

Tobias sliced at the leg of the Lego Deconstructor, the boulder hitting at the same time and knocking it into pieces. It started coming back together, a few pieces had broken that couldn't reconstruct, thus it had no mouth and a single eye. It stared at Cam for a moment after that, the leg reformed, Tobias groaned and jammed a blade into the leg joint, though the cold outside was pretty powerful, his blades were a bit too brittle, so it snapped as the leg moved, thankfully the blocks broke and the thing toppled to one side.

It was still coming back together a second time, though it was having trouble, missing a leg joint. Now the lego thing was even scarier, down to three legs, the foot was acting more like a tail as it started scaling to get to Cam, still more angered by losing an eye than a leg.

"Ah, she was taught too well at some things." Gold-Fire explained, trying to stare at the gaping hole for a few moments. Then he turned back to Miss Teal. He blinked, wondering about the pun, then disregarding it as inconsequential. "As in brittish secret service sort of thing? Nice to meet you Miss Teal, introductions are apparently unnecessary." He shook his head, then turned back to the gaping hole with a sigh. "Okay, well, this is new, so we're as lost as you, Kami, what happened?" He asked, chewing his lip as he stepped closer to the edge, feeling a little odd. "Are they dead, is it just evaporated or something?"

"I told miss Teal, it's got this... magical bevelling I can see, which doesn't mean that's what it is, I think that they're fine, but displaced, and the line of beveling, is the lip, where the exact bounds of the base, it's so precisely the shape of the base, it was either very finely tuned by someone who knew the base, unlikely, or displaced by someone using conceptual magic, which means they were probably very powerful..." Kami said, extracting books.

Gold-Fire blinked and shook his head. "I know that was english, but I got kind of lost... So, can we get back to it? Or get it back, are they more powerful than you?"

"Of course they're more powerful than me, I moved people to an illusionary place! Anyway, I might be able to reverse it, dunno, getting there, maybe easier, if the idea I suggested is the case, edifices have a sort of magic, or so I've read, conceptually the base is still a place, and the right spell could get us there..." Kami extracted another book form her bag. "I don't want to experiment on a spell on the fly... " She groaned and finally just dumped all the books from her bag onto the side walk. It wasn't as frightening a stack as one might imagine, though it reached Kami's hip... No wonder she was having trouble finding it... "Here we go, concepts concerning conjuration." She smiled, holding up the book, and started reading right there.

Technosis was fine, he thought, as he got his gear on, the suit was white with green leads, and quilted to keep him warm. He zoomed up the steps onto the roof and threw chains at Triceradactyls, he heard the come chatter about the Lego Robot, and zoomed around the roof to drag the two along. He gritted his teeth and pulled himself up, the chains and his momentum was perfect.

He stomped down on the backs of the plastic Dinosaurs and sent them down towards the Robot. "Cam, need a lift?" He grinned, stopping the plastic dinosaur at the window, while he threw turret discs onto the wall to start firing at the robot...

Miss Teal was speaking into her phone again. "Magic, Mum. They think they can get to wherever the Tower is now, but the girl is doing some research, first. And it seems they may have other problems..." As the young man with the red lightning asked for help, she put her phone away and walked back to her Transit. "jumper cables, ahah!" She came out of the van with a set of long jumper cables, as she returned she clipped one to a fire hydrant, linked the other to the end of the first, and held out the free end. "Will grounding you help?"

Not knowing what else to do Ray clutches his teeth as he grabs the free end with both hands. A giant surge of the red energy leaves from his body and into the cable, the cables themselves burst after a few seconds but enough energy has left his body that he can now stand. "Thanks girl." As he moves back up he looks at his bare arms and sees the wierd burn marks as small crackles of static are still going off around him, shaking and scared he tools towards Teal. "What'd hell is happenin' ta me." He grabs his head again "And who keeps shoutin'!"

As Jake and Signy grabbed ahold of the Lego-bot and yanked it off the wall, Cam saluted Tech and smiled. "Nope, I got other plans. Gimme a bit of room here."

Cam reached out and summoned the boulder he'd dropped earlier. It broke apart into a stream of stone and flew back up to him. He stuck his arm out into the cloud of rock particles. They flowed up his arm and across his body, wrapping him in a protective shell of stone. He then stepped up onto the sill and dropped headfirst out the window. He brought his arms together in front of him and the rock covering them merged, forming into an axe-like blade. Seven hundred pounds of stone and flesh slammed into the Lego-bot and cleaved it right down the center.

Terrance whipped up a fog to try and hide the tower. 'Yeah, what he said, just leave us alone!' he called out. Some of the toys seemed to slow down, but the more determined ones were still climbing. He couldn't give up, not when it came to his home! Still, he was starting to feel tired and it would only be a matter of time until he ran out of energy...

Jake jammed his hand under the wall of Legos around him and lifted it up. "What, did whoever brought us here pull an L.F. Baum and drop the clocktower on your brother? Not our fault. Might be he's owed a thwacking, though. Whoever dropped us on your brother, that is." Signy lifted the other side of the LegoWall, and made sure Tobias could get clear.

Ms. Teal shook her gloved hand a bit (some of the energy had gotten through the insulation) and addressed the entity. "There's no way for you to separate yourself from him without killing him? Can you at least limit the damage you're doing to each other?"

As more of the electricity was being siphoned off the being began losing it's shape more and more "I....don't know, this world it is....new. I was in this structure...something like a crystal and then I wasn't. I needed to find a vessel and the mammal was the closet one. More precisely the small amount of electricity within his mind which I assume is common in your kind." it pointed to Ray and used the radio one last time to say "ask him how I must've been released, that may be all it's good for if it can't control it's thoughts and ends up killing itself" the being burst as it lost the power needed to keep it's form and retreated back within Ray.

The energy around ray was still crackling as his held his burn arms however with more energy expelled the less the energy was hurting him and the less chaotic it becomes. "I...I um well..." Ray took a breath "...there was tis delivery I had ta make, pretty standard for my crew, I get tis case some coup with a gas mask won in an actuation wasn't allowed to open it just bring it to some block in the middle of no where, drop it off, receive our pay when we here our client got it. Then out a nowhere this...crazy guy in this hood attacked us, wanted the case. He...oh god he must've............anyways I ain't having some crazy a-hole killin' me to so I ran with the case then I well...fell the guy was after me and the case broke open. I didn't think you know just grabbed what was inside some red diamond or somethin' and it broke in my hand next thing you know...tis happened. The guy in da green hood ran off and...oh god what did it do to me."

"FIRE" came a loud command and the line up of carebear knockoffs puffed up their chests and sent a rainbow blasts at the triceradactyls. The blast wasn't damage dealing, but had physiological effects. Some gave up and stop flying falling to the ground, others seemed to panic, and some even turned on each other. From the lineup a toy jeep rolled to where the Lego Bot/wall was.

Inside the jeep was what could only be a knockoff GIJoe. "The Action Figure removed a plastic cigar from his lips. What Mikey Mouse Operation do we have here? You don't look like Emperor Windup Minions. Private Blockhead what going on here, these aren't any toys there fleshlings." The fellow had a uniform compete with ripped off sleeves and tattoo of a General badge. Looking at the one in the cage "I be General Panic, you have to the count of five to explain yourselves or I let the Talking Tina dolls batteries be replaced."

Ray, still frightened and shaking, clutched his teeth and nodded in understanding. At first the electric aura around him was still getting more chaotic as he tried to move and step forward.

The being said as it reached out to him, Ray could understand the voice more clearly now it echoed somewhat and was a touch feminine, the kid breathed as the energy around him started to become more controlled.

[i] So you actually can do something the correct way, now just focus on your palm and reach out [/i]

Ray did so as the energy around him collected on his hand, he pointed his hand upwards. "So who o' what are ya anyways?"

[i] For who am I believe I am called Kel, as to what I believe I'm not entirely sure there is a word in your small vocabulary to fit it, guess you can say I'm not entirely sure myself. [/i]

"Well Kel, I'm sure you already know tis with being in ma head and all, but the name's Ray." He releases the access energy around him harmlessly into to sky in on electric blast. Ray takes a moment to look at his hands "Hey that actually worked! The pains gone...well for the most part. Thanks!"

[i] Hmm, guess I'm stuck with you then, Ray. [/i] Kel said in a somewhat playful tone.

"So...now what? Should I pay ya guys I mean ok this thing's still stuck in me and it dun look like Kel's gettin' evicted eny time soon." [i] Is this how you treat all your guests? [/i] "But still I mean I didin explode or anything-" [i] You would have probably just disintegrated or burned till there was nothing left [/i] "...you done? I didn't explode, disintegrate or burn or anythin' so should I pay you now?" Ray reaches into his pocket and takes out a roll of cash "I was payed alot upfront to deliver that thing and you did help, or do I become a superhero now or somethin', I mean ma record isn't exactlly clean I really don't know how tis whole thing works."

[i] Aren't superheroes in this place suppose to be I don't know noble or fearless or something, you did leave your friends to get murdered by some hooded lunatic...just saying. [/i]

"Oh...right, maybe I should see if they're ok." [i] They're not. [/i]

"Right I was actually meaning to ask about that. I think I'll help you with your magic watch-a-magig then I'll be out of the way." Hesitent he places his hand on a nearby street lamp, drawing energy from it until he quikly flicks his arms back and hols one out "Just tell me where to zap." [i] Probably the big floating ball in the sky, dolphin [/i] "Dolphin?" [i] Dolphin's are pretty smart aren't they, probably a bit smarter then you. [/i] "I'm sorry but you don't know what YOU are but not an hour into tis world and you know what a dolphin in AND think that I'm dumber then some big fish!" [i] Well first off I believe they are mammals if you actually paid attention in school and just shoot. [/i] "Oh right" He fires a bolt of energy from his outstretched hand at the hole, which knocks him back a bit.

Finn Turned as Ray fired "NO!" He didn't know what would happen to well whatever was the Mecha Mana ball was. All he knew was it wasn't part of what happened a completely different feel. "That's some kind of energy at least your blast would do nothing, at worst you destabilize it and ... who knows what would happen. It also has nothing to do with the missing building. It was Asgard magic I can feel it." He reached into his pouched and searched for a runestone. "First let's heal those burns of yours young man." He brought out the rune berkana and held it up a pulsing energy of healing green light. Once that's done he looked to Kami's work.

"The young man over there might have the right idea, just need means to turn electrical energy to magical force. Good thing I know a few technomages that visit my shop from time to time. Kneeling down he starts placing runestones he fishes out of his pouch. Placing the stones in a circle. "Hmm ehwaz perhaps for power and to send, laguz for uncovering hidden things and stabilizing effects...ðagaz to reduce negative effects, hagalaz, perhaps raiðo. Alright I think those combination of runes should help transform your raw energy to what she needs for the spell. I also added a few tweaks to help it along. Ray go ahead and fire in the cercle of the runestones the extra energy should then leap for the Rune spell this young lady prepared."

He looked to Kami "and quite impressive set up at that."

General Panic nodded "Blockhead you lose your eye eyepieces? These folk aren't stuffed they are living, heck some are still Kids. At ease men, seems these folks are trespassers not all out revolutionaries. You found yourselves in a ripe pickle. This is the Island of Misfit toys and it seems some are more misfit then others, started a Civil war. The self proclaimed Emperor Windup came here about two years ago, a retro toy idea some kind of windup robot. Wasn't long before he was talking about overthrowing King Moonracer. Even Blockhead here knew when Windup said we should rule, he mean He should rule. Either some believed his lies or some didn't care soon we were in the middle of a war."

"It seems you are too..." then from above came 'Hey, you down there! Leave my friends alone!' Panic looked up. "You think you can throw that snow ball with enough aim to not hit your friends? If you're one of these folk we aren't attacking, throw that ball and darn tooting we will. Were mostly plastic, they are flesh and blood. Who would be hurt more from a little snow and ice?"

Looking back to the toy war vehicles he motions to a truck with a red cross on it. "Get that Medic over here and load Blockhead up. Replace his lost parts pronto! The rest of you take aim at the flying snow machine if he throws that snowball at us. Return fire."

"ummm...sorry." [i] Well that time you actually could have blown us up dolphin. [/i] "YOU'RE THE ONE THAT TOLD ME TO SHOOT!" [i] Because it would have been funny. [/i]

As the green light hit ray some of it began to be absorbed into his skin, healing most of his burns across his body. Hoever there were still some burns on his chest, arms, and face that did heal since they have already become scars.

"Alright let's try this again." He stretched his arm out to fire another blast of elctromagnetic energy at the ruin.

"You wouldn't mix em up if you saw em together." Laurn added. "Yeah. okay... So we've been transported to a fictional universe, or parallel world composed of imaginary imagery... No offense, of course, just speaking from personal perspective. " He waved at Jake since they were already introduced. "The elf that Terrance mentioned, need to work on your callsign, for homeworld missions, doesn't matter if these guys know." He waved his hand...

"Guess we're on your side, atleast allies, so long as you're not heinous pricks." Technosis shrugged. "Oh, yeah, sorry, we took out his eyes before we got to the talking part... And his joints... " He shook his head and already ordered the 3d printer to print off the plastic block mans parts from his HUD camera shots... "Ehem... So, we're looking for an elf, possibly a shape shifter if that's not his natural form, and assuming he's even here still." Technosis frowned, technically he was defacto leader.

The parts were delivered a few minutes later along with some plastic upgrades for blockhead. "Thought you might like the memory upgrade too." He shrugged as the blocks were absorbed by the lego blob. "Hope I don't get sued for this..."

Tobias smiled back at Signy as she introduced him, he looked much more nervous as he waved back at her father. "Hi." He sort of squeaked, it was a strange nervous noise. Then he tried again. "Uh, Yo... " And proceeded to hide, his dark mist collected close to his skin until he was just a blur, then the psychic perception blocking started. "I'm going scouting. I'll be back." Everyone present could sense his blur, and the "Forget me" field around him was dropped, for those present. "Oh piss that's colder..." He muttered, turning back to normal... "Forgot... Light makes warmth, I need a thicker coat!" He dashed into the hole left in the side of the base. "We should make a door there, secret!"

After absorbing his parts Blockhead was ready to go. "On it!" He quickly relayed all the bricks, even making mini-bricks from rubble until there were a neat secret door mechanism in the side of their building made of stone.

"Thank you sir!" Kami bowed. "I'm Kami, this is Aesir magic!?" Kami gaped, the electricity hit and as the spell worked the hexagon glowed and formed a crystal, for a while the crystal changed colors multiple times, and even encapsulated the Machina Mana orb above the hole. After a few more phases where the crystal seemed to be showing them facets of reality, different axis existance in this quanta could be. They saw into the Machina Mana, since it was a close door.

It wasn't long enough to see much besides a horde of creatures, dozens of them in strange shapes and sizes, chimeras of dogs, roosters, dragons and even two headed creatures, a few things shaped a bit like men, but they couldn't see more than the outlines before it shifted again and the base came into view! Kami tapped her staff on her node and the crystal seemed to close. "Okay that should be enough energy!" She shouted, the crystal faided and the lines of magical code shrunk back into the circle at her staff and all that was left was a small crystal. "This should have the coordinates of the dimensional shift that took place here encoded in it." She nodded. "Getting there, we need something that can link or move between dimensions safely."

"Thanks Ray, she's a bit caught up in the magic, literally." Gold-Fire smiled. "Eh, that's alright Ray, glad we could help. If you're around Iron Port and just want to hang out with others with powers and get help learning to grow into yours, we're here." He smiled and shrugged, going back to the rest, in case he really meant that he'd split. "So, how is it encoded?" Terry asked, looking at the strange crystal.

"The striations in the rock. If you look at them with a magical sense or a scientifically deep enough instrument, you see the dimensional shift that occurred, we're not living in JUST 3 dimensions, we're SEEing three dimensions, interacting with something like 10, maybe more." Kami explained in a long burst, then shrugged. "So, what's a cube look like in 4 dimensions? Funny. Three's easier, so shifting something three dimensional into some other three adjacent dimensions, for an Asgardian, is kind of easier... Though how many Asgardians would do that?" She pondered. "Anyway, look." She stuck it on her staff and projected what she meant, which caused it to glow and the staff. It started out looking like a geometry demonstration, lines intersecting then splitting, the shape of the building was still there, but warped to a different fold of reality... "How do we undo this..." Kami muttered, to her this was too much, making an illusionary pocket dimension was fine, and sending people too, but whole places?!

Gold-Fire turned and nodded, they were again in the midst of things he really couldn't help.

"Well, you'd be surprised the origin of why or who gave you your powers. It doesn't matter, nothing is predetermined at origin, atleast not in my opinion, so you can make your worth as a hero if you want to earn it." He nodded then frowned at his story... "Of course we're interested in helping, having you on board is your decision, but it would help us along."

"You probably did the right thing by freeing Kel. Even if by accident. He was a sentient being trapped, if I'm understanding the one sided conversation, I bet he can pull from your thoughts, so, you could probably look less crazy if you thought at him?" Gold-Fire teased, he hoped it just seemed friendly and helpful, but he didn't want to seem like he was forcing training on the newly powered man. "So seriously, you've only had an hour of this?" He blinked and stared, surprised... "I didn't wake up for six hours after the CFC ray blew a hole in my chest..." He shook his head... "Woke up and could blast and absorb energy."

General Panic nodded "Alright, you all better choose who going to be your rep and we take you over to King Moonracer. He decided what to do with you given your building now on his turf. As for elf dolls... don't know any from our side and I doubt of island toys joined Windup's."

Oumm turned and sent out a subsonic echolocation signal similar to the one he used to find the hidden snake creature. "Unable to pinpoint any anomalous entities within the tower."

Mar was poking at the medic truck. "It's a toy... but not a toy... my head hurts."

"Definitely Aesir magic young lady. I use my Runes for deviations so I'm quite sensitive to the different types of forces about." He then looked to Ray "There is a third option, no need to go all Heroic or vengeance driven. I myself have quite some skill having trained in my arts for most of my life, however I don't often rush to save the day as the saying goes. Only rarely do I leave my mundane life of a simple store owner, operator, and fortune teller."

Signy thought briefly about trying to cast a spell to track this errant elf, but decided that, what with not knowing anything about it and never having even seen it herself, she wouldn't be able to get a line on it. The Plastic Throne, on the other hand... "Excuse me, Mister Blockhead? If ye like, I could cast a spell to try and find yer brother. If he's like ye, he might ha' been able to survive the Clock Tower landing on him..."

Tobias came back to the hole, not expecting a nearly impeccable wall inplace. Parts and upgrades, Tobias couldn't even find the switch, even though it was his idea to make the secret door... He growned and flew around to drop down again... He took the time to do a quick sense of the area for auras or magic too.Tobias came back a few minutes later with a furry white and green hoody under his leather jacket, thicker but still fingerless gloves. "Okay, sorry bout that. Nice to meet ya, sorry for the delay." He offered Jake the hand shake first, and if nothing scary happened, on to General Panic. He was still agitated, or cold, probably still cold.

"Anyway..." Technosis shook his head. "No, from the experience we had there was no drop, we were planted here. Displacement. So whatever was here might have been put someplace else, if your brother was here." Technosis deduced aloud.

"Ahh, you're probably right Joint Builder." Technosis made a face at the name, but let the blockhead go on. "He is certainly like me, but if he was displaced, where upon would he be taken, oh no, he has the Sword, King Moon Racer needs his sword AND shield." Apparently Blockhead was the shield...

"Anyway, you should cast away lass." Blockhead nodded. Sitting down and waiting, the magic would be easy, possibly, since they were twins and apparently magical. "We weren't safe for our age group." He nodded, then thumbed at General Panic too, definitely not for 4.

"Oh yeah, pets are allowed, I mean, Tobias has a cat, or the cat watches Tobias... And Kami... I dunno, it's around, and apparently talks to the scottish kids. Sounds like meowing to me." Kami rolled her eyes at Terry's explanation of the wise cat.

"He's a Wise cat, guardian, sorta, familiar? He wandered in, no ritual, but stuck with Toby and I." Kami grinned at Finn, she hadn't the time or freedom, at only 11, to explore the city as she wanted, so she hadn't found the rune store she kept hearing about. "Ohhhh! I need to get a beginners guide to Ancient Norse..." She added, shrugged, then glanced at the circle again.

"Did you say Sleipnirs Dam?" Kami narrowed her eyes and raised her eyebrow. She may not have known her own origin but she did know the Important stories! "That's powerful magic... Oh no..." Kami groaned and looked up at the pulsing ball, which was still making odd shapes, though less frequently. "Well, we can't leave this, it's not just leaving us without a house, but it's dangerous, and it's kind of a rupture in the folds of space, or atleast a stretching and folding... It's not going to be good, and that's not good either." She pointed up, the shapes were still random, but grew larger and more complex, shapes, joints and movement occurred as they fell, like whatever was on the other side was still learning to form in these three dimensions.

Gold-Fire just chewed his lip and stared. "So, we have a way there, but not back?" He asked, hoping he understood, or misunderstood, that might be better. Kami was quiet, she had a lot of text book knowledge but no experience dealing with something this powerful, even if she could project the basic effect and make a map.

"Well, it works for spelunkers..." Miss Teal began surfing the web on her phone. "All we need is a transdimensional sort of rope... Preferably hefty enough to pull pack the whole building... I don't suppose the Gleipnir recipe is available? Cat's footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, bear's sinews, fish's breath and bird's spittle; doesn't seem easy to get."

Signy laid her hand on one of Blockhead's, and began. It was more of a prayer to Freyja, to show someone the way to find a missing member of their family...

"We don't have access to a Dwarven Forge even if we could harness the elements to forge such chains." Finn thought about the problem. "Perhaps we do..." He looked up at the Mecha Mana "That thing is producing some very interesting patterns. If we could guide the manifestations it might be a means to bound us here and draw us back. Just the question of how to do such."

Mar was still exploring the toy folk and came up nearly silently on General Panic and pressed the button on the General's back. The General change poses to one more fit for a woman on stage "I like boys." came a very female voice. Mar hit the button again before General recovered. "Oh, Lets go shopping! I need some more makeup." This time the General turned in time to catch Mar trying for a third time. In his normal male commanding voice "Don't Press My Button Boy!"

Mar backed away trying not to laugh.

In the tower Loki Elf had found someone's camera and set it up. Making poses with a barbie doll... so not safe for work poses.

Ray thought to himself [b] Well, what about lung fish? can't we get breath from them? I mean they have lungs. [/b]

Ray facepalmed "They can't here you Kel because you're in my head!"

"You, urg" [b] You fried my phone the second you came into me....forgot I thought: came into me [/b]
[i] I never 'fried' it I just stole it's electric and magnetic charge, just take it out and I can use it to communicate, like I did with the car radio. It takes a lot out of me though to convert my energy to sound waves, even with the aid of your simple technology to do so. [/i]
"Umm ok." Ray reached into his pocket and pulled out a rather warn and burnt looking phone and held it up. "Um you sure this w-"
A static like voice began emitting from the cell phone but it was breaking up quite a bit and hard to make out. "It....ld do, all the.....ssary components......ntact. Anywa....it would se....that the components of the sp.....are imposibl..n theory but you forg....that this world is on..illed wi...the impossible. For example a lung fis..can quite easily gi...you breath." Ray raises his voice a little in being pissed "That was my idea!" Kel of course got a little snarky "No..you know h...it f..ls. In any ca...if the spell was suc.....ully done once, can....not be d....again? Even wit.....the proper forge there mu...exist some powerf.....nough alternati-" a spark burst from his phone as Kel's voice is cut off. Ray sighed holding the phone "There goes my insurance. Just let me do the talking for you in the future ok?" [i] Well I suppose pointlessly yammering on is the one thing you are good at. [/i] "HEY!"

'It'd be strange to have a rule about not talking about what makes you different. I mean, all of you are misfits and heck, we are too. Without this suit, all I can do is keep soda cold...and any other beverage. I'm about as mobile as a fridge, too,' Terrance said. He only half knew that the general had left, so he kind of kept muttering to nobody in particular to keep his mind occupied. It hadn't even occurred to him to look for the freaky elf-thing yet.

'Which leads us to...hm?' Terrance snapped out of his no-audience rambling when Signy pointed towards the coast. He walked over and did his best to scope out the scene. 'Well my zoom in function's a bit janky, but it looks like a bunch of plastic boats...they could be neutral, so should I put up an ice wall just in case? It'd stop any heat seeking or guided missiles and I'm getting this weird urge to use my powers. Maybe there's magic snow? I dunno...'
