Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Wow, I'm Lost...City of Whatnow?

Heh, I'm rather astounded and excited to learn about this new development (well, not new. this seems to have been in the works for years now?).

I guess you can say I've been in the dark...I'm an old-time CoX fan (bigger fan of CoV, or at least the ATs) and since the game got shut down, I spent a while playing a few other MMOs like Terra and GW2, trying to fill the void that CoX left and for a while, it helped and I moved on to do bigger and better things. I had a few buds even tell me that some players resurrected the costume creator so you can still make characters.

To keep this all short, I've been out of the loop for quite a while, joined the Army (been in for about 16 months) was stationed in Korea for a while and back in the states now waiting for a deployment and I just checked my Google+ for, like, the 1st time.

Heh, so there's plans for a bigger and better City of Heroes? City of Titans, eh? I have to say, it's sparked a part of my heart I thought I long put to rest. Can anyone throw down some knowledge for me while I sift through the various boards and threads?

Welcome Leo G and thank you

Welcome Leo G and thank you for your service in the Army. My nephew a Marine so I'm not just blowing smoke when I say so. Everyone that able to serve and do so should be thanked in my book.

That said the City of Titan project been in the works when we learned that City of Heroes was being shut down, and every other option seemed to be coming to an end. The protest, pleads, hopes all ended November 30, 2012. Plan Z was put into effect. The idea was if we can't have Paragon then by every means possible we will build anew. Plan Z was the idea and two projects were spawned by it. Missing Worlds Media's City of Titans (Formerly known as the Phoenix Project) and Plan Z studio's Heroes and Villains http://www.heroes-and-villains.com. Later an already established Studio chose to rework their engine to make a City of Heroes type game as well called Valiance Online http://valiance.shogn.net.

Given we are talking about this here I'm a firm believer in the MWM Titans followed secondly by the Valiance team. We don't see the other projects as competitors but brothers in arms trying to rebuild. Each has their own angle and view of going forward.

City of Titans has the most community driven goal I believe. Last I knew there over 160 people volunteering their time and effort and often money to build City of Titans. We had the successful Kickstarter drive. The kickstarter link Izzy provided would help you figure out the plan so far. Our goal isn't just to build a new City for the CoH community, but go beyond a remake. It's a new game, new system familiar but new too, welcome new people into an even larger better community! Because when push comes to shove, we get right back up. We are Heroes this is what we do.

Thanks, guys!

Thanks, guys!

I knew some of the beginning history of how the project came about, I just had no idea it blossomed into something this ambitious....

...well, speaking freely, I just figured it'd fail. Heh, but wow! I'll have to throw my gloves on and get my 2 cents in on the effort.

So is the real goal for the alphas/betas/etc going to be Nov. 2015? That feels rather ambitious. Has that much of the game been mapped out? Wow, it seems unreal for a bigger better CoX to pop up (to me) out of nowhere that soon! What of the game has been released to see? Would be awesome to see the style the artists are using for the character design.

Thank you for joining us, Leo_G.

You can see many of the project updates if you click on "Home" in the upper left of the screen. That doesn't include some of the earlier updates, but it will give you a good idea of where we are.

You can also review these lists:

and

We look forward to your input.

The project coming out of the

The project coming out of the Pre Production state. The goal of 2015 been pushed back into 2016, for good reasons one is we get to use Unreal Engine 4. A whole new engine that's more capable and more functional than UE3, down side is no one had experience so need more time to learn the systems. It's ambitious, but we are fighting against time here, we know a lot of folks haven't found a new MMO home, where others are just camping out in other games. To keep the community thriving a new home has to be found, so yes ambitious. Thankfully there are a lot of people willing to rebuild.

Details about the game still under wraps, reason one things can and will change. Two a lot of the stuff is under the hood things so we mere mortals would not understand.

There an info post once a week, ranging from business to tech. Some releases have lore updates, others design info like the city map.

The Kickstarter has some 2D designs to look at. There been teaser trailers. For full 3D views of inside the game we just have to wait.

I know it's like waiting for Christmas to come and not having a calendar to count how many days are left.
