Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Will Shoulder Kitties be an optional Firing point?

We all know the shoulder kitties and pandas from COH. Further, I saw where pets can be a firing point that a player can choose (the eagle with laser eyes).

Can that cute little kitty/panda be used in the same fashion? what if they are the ones with super powers and the human is a sidekick?

Do the Devs realize what a profound statement this could be?
It doesn't have to be a kitty. it could be a shoulder fairy, or a parrot, or a mounted shoulder turret.

and maybe we could add animations so when they are hit, they could fall off, going , "Ahhhhhhh."
OK so that brings the sound department in too.
Parrot, "Arrrrrrrr!"
Kitty, panda, fairy, girls voice, two sound bytes: cute babbling, and Ahhhhhhh!
shoulder turret: "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle"

the possibilities are endless, and I just know the artists would LOVE doing this.

For the villains we'll need a shoulder crow, a dark fairy (a little Malificent), and amazing sea monkeys.
The Villain shoulder pals don't say cute things, but being a family game we can't really record their true foul language, so we'll have to go the Yosemite Sam route and have them say, "Sackin Frackin! Consarn it! Ahhhh hate that Rabbit!"

I love this idea! Of course I had a toon with the battlecry of "FEAR MY MIGHTY SHOULDER KITTY!" so I may be a wee bit biased. I also had a pirate that couldn't have a parrot so her bio read " Wha..? Darn cat ate my parrot!"

I know Sexy Jay wanted to add more shoulder pets because I talked to him at a con about it.

Maybe we could throw other shoulder pet options out there? Like a classic angel and or devil?

We could even have characters

We could even have characters that look like the timely appearance of Khaleesi (a.k.a. Kristen Wiig) on Fallon. Note her shoulder dragon perched on her left shoulder...

I guess the real question is whether we could have shoulder pets that move around on their own or would they have to be as static as they were in CoH. I guess we'll see.

Yeah even I'll admit the dragon sort of blends into the background. Here's two more pics that might make it a little easier to see:

For what it's worth I posted this example because Kristen Wiig had literally just appeared like this on Fallon's show a night or two ago, not because it was the most amazing example of "shoulder pets" I could think of. I just thought your post and her appearance was a funny coincidence. ;)

Oh, that was a joke? Ha ha ha! I love Earth humor!
... But what does it mean?

((Seriously, I have no idea what you're referring to.))

But back on topic, since shoulder animals are part of your costume, there's no reason they can't be an effects anchor point any less than any other part of your costume.

Ironically between the dragon's shape/colors really blending into the background and the "distraction" you're talking about being an obviously fake part of the dress I totally believed Cyclops was being soberly serious about "not seeing the dragon".

In fact during the interview (at about the 1:10 mark) Kristen more or less points it out as being "fake cleavage" to help highlight the overall silliness of her wearing that costume in the first place. ;)

I think the best we can hope for at launch is that the pet gets off your shoulder, flies around a bit, and lands again, though this would likely be an idle action and not one seen in combat (I could be wrong based on the laser eagle eyes) but I believe the pet will be mostly static. What I do hope is that they add more animations to them at a later time, but I don't see this happening until the "pet" classes get released.

On the note of shoulder

On the note of shoulder dragons and eagles, as well as a firing point, what if they could fly out and attack as well?

I've been on a heroscape binge, inspired by Sonlen.

But powers with ranged physical (whatever the equivalent will be) manifesting with the aesthetic of having the shoulder dragon/falcon/fairy/imp fly away and bite/scratch the target. Maybe best for sniper-like moves with long recharge so the dragon has time to fly back while you use other attacks.

Considering that MWM has used that, but for the character itself, as an example of possible speedster-type ranged attack then making it available to shoulder kitties as well wouldn't be that much of stretch.

Personally I'd probably never make a "ranged" speedster, was just pointing out that the possibility of such attack-animations have already been considered and will probably be included at some point.

However I seriously doubt that MWM will make a power animation that extends beyond the powers actual activation/execution time, otherwise you can't have other powers using the same "shoulder kitty" while it returns (as you pointed towards above) which will put unnecessary restrictions between animations of different powers. So, how drawn out it can be depends on the total animation time of the power itself.

Sounds like something more

Sounds like something more along the lines of a pet class. A rather unique one where instead of being a full MM with multiple pet you have a single high powered familiar. Would be an interesting variation on the theme that I would support.

There are plenty of examples in fiction of a Magic User and his/her "Familiar" as a single powerful servant/pet.

In CoT terms it could be a hybrid between something like an Earth Controller (that was able to have one fairly strong pet at level 32) and a MM with a single uber henchman. This new hybrid class would get to cast their single pet at level 1, but that pet could grow in abilities/power as the character grows in power. In effect it would almost be like playing a single character that exists as two co-dependent individuals (human and pet). They might even make it so the two entities share the same HP pool and share the same buff/debuff effects.

In keeping with what Huckleberry said they might even be able to make it so that you could chose to directly control the pet character and make the human the "pet" in terms of being the NPC that follows you around.

Somewhere, there's a discussion about 'Operator' (Mastermind) powers, in which I suggested the 'Trainer' model with a single pet, which I, or somebody, suggested calling the 'Brute'. I imagined the 'Trainer' with his towel and water-bottle supporting the combat-model 'Brute' and encouraging them to defeat their opponents. Alternately, one might be the mad-scientist or crazed engineer handling a Frankenstein, or Giant Robot. The model would even fit... er, a 'pocket-monster' and their Trainer.

Perhaps this sort of 'Operator' would have access to some abbreviated Powerset/Pools which would allow training the 'Brute' with new powers, or those extra powers might belong to the Trainer, but be activated through the pet? So, the Trainer calls out to 'Frank' to 'use Lightning Flash' (because the Player clicked that button) and the stumbling monster releases some sort of electrical power that's not in it's base powerset?

The variations abound.
