I know we're all eagerly anticipating a new home for our capes and cowls, but where do you roleplay now? What MMO is working out for you? I am eagerly searching for somewhere to RP while we wait for The Phoenix Project to rise high into the sky.

Given my tendency to the dark and mysterious, I'm rolplaying in The Secret World. I do hunger for flight again though. :)
I've been jumping into the odd MMO here and there, but I've mostly been getting my RP fix from the tabletop side of the equation.
The world is a mess and I just ... need to rule it.
Champions Online.. kinda. Haven't really started RPing on my new account (Old one locked away from me thanks to foolish choices.. mainly about who to share with).

DCUO, though their roleplaying has to be done through custom channels because of an over abundance of griefers in the game and the fact that heroes can't talk to villains vice versa

I just picked up the secret world. Rolled out my characters, now I am trying to figure out their personalities. Or they are trying to figure it out... I''m honestly not sure after 15 years of rp'ing how my characters are created. They just kind of become what they are supposed to... Even if I don't like it.... and delete them.

Same here. When I do poke my head back into online gaming, it's usually Neverwinter or Champions, but so far no MMO has hooked me the way City of Heroes did.

I stopped trying to find a MMORPG I liked and started playing a heavy modded skyrim geared for immersion and RP.

Personal rules of good roleplay
1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
Same here when I can get the gang together we table top anything and everything
They say save me and I say pay me!
I hop around between CO, WoW, and SW:ToR... but none of them have all my heart like CoX did.

CoX ruined online MMO gaming for me...,
- ...nothing has simply come close to what it had to offer. What other system would allow you to make a medieval knight, an arcane magician, an alien with fantastic superior technology, a psionic mental powerhouse, a mutant juggernaut who could mimic arctic conditions, a grizzled gun-toting vigilante, a soldier of fortune in command of his own squad, a time-traveler who can manipulate space-time...these were just a few of the myriad options available upon character creation. The width, breadth and scope that CoX brought to the public simply has gone without peer before or since. It's really difficult to get involved with another MMO because I know that from what has currently been provided - they simply lack.
- Sure, graphics are one thing...but outside pretty pixels, without content...you end up with a narrow scope, and limited target audience appeal. CoX simply had the winning combination, so I feel dishonest playing other MMO's because regardless of what they have to offer - I feel cheated. There's no real 'Controller' in CO, there's not a great deal of variety in DCU, most other MMO's have specific environments...so you're not going to see a magic character with an alien along with a mutant and a sentient android in a medieval setting which is the common staple of most MMO's these days. Maybe I'm just jaded, but until some other predecessor surfaces or CoX comes back online...like that B.B. King song, 'The Thrill Is Gone'.
I feel ya, Thunder. Closest you can get to CoX is CO which makes me want to punch myself everytime I play it..
Of course, being a villain I have to go to DCUO to actually get THAT feeling.. and considering the limitations on customization (for whatever reason) that's not saying much. I really hope CoT will be everything we hope it to be.. and keep some level of decency *Stares at the devs* You all know what I mean.

I've been roaming about between DCUO, STO, SWTOR, Lineage 2, Aion online, and Second Life.. done some Final Fantasy online too..
I've not really been rping anywhere as of late. Partly due to Real Life and partly due to not feeling the RP muse. Attempted RP in Champs and in RO2 but both tended to fall through for various reasons.Dropped DCUO after seeing what DC was doing to their female heroes in the New 52. I fear that CoH may have ruined me for online RP because of their system that allowed for some really off the wall rps. Still, I am trying to find the muse again.
Nothing is ever as it seems- B. Banzai
CO lately.
TERA I found to be a utter failure for RP. People couldn't stick to lore. Elins are hundred years old, not 10 and nothing in lore suggests any of the races would send 10 year olds out to battle. People tended to mix OOC with IC. I'm not talking brackets and no brackets, I'm talking, here we are in TERA, and they're talking IC about things that don't exist in TERA...like Batman. *sigh*
TOR I found to be a utter failure for RP as well. It's very much a "I am the Master and this is my sex slave". Or maybe I somehow only got invited to such groups? Even the merc groups. I don't even have a problem with it. But everyone? Oh, yeah, ICly running around in the slave bikini! That makes so much sense in SW lore /sarcasm And lots of RPers would count the crew members as part of RP. Yeah...millions of Mako's running around. Makes so much sense. Not to mention how every Jedi/Sith was the most awesome of awesome, highest ranked Jedi/Sith, unless they were the slave, and even then, they were all so powerful! And then there were the "I rolled a Jedi, but I'm actually a Sith." characters. There were Sith to be rolled. And when they did do that, those who rolled Jedi/Sith as the opposite (to play on the other side), they'd RP it, but you ICly confront them, you couldn't do anything to try and stop them. :p
CO is closer to CoH imo for RP, but that may just be because a lot of CoHers went there?
You mean, as is the case of Power Girl and many others, adding extra leggings and utterly changing iconic outfits, because leotards are just so terrible?
