What was it that made CoX so special to you?

I love mmorpgs, and I literally spend my weekends looking for new ones to try. But everytime, I end up deleting the game because it doesn't really hold my appeal. This is true for almost all mmos except for CoX. I think its because I truly felt like a super hero in the game, and not just an teenage kid. What is it that made CoX so special to you?
