Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

The Ultimate Time Waster

I'll try to be really quick here :)

For me a big part of the MMO experience is not just running through wave of content after wave of content. I take most of my enjoyment out of casual rewarding things that are just cool and can be done while chatting with my SG mates. In City of Heroes, i would just run around with ninja run on just because i could flip around and hold out my sword all stereotypical ninja-like. it was incredible. Combine that with badge hunting, and hours of story wasn't needed to keep my attention (although it helped).

Skip forward to my idea:

If i was a super hero with super speed or super leaping, or perhaps even teleportation, while running to save someone i would certainly be having fun and abusing my maneuverability. In other words i would be practicing parkour. Swinging off of light posts, jumping from roof to roof, wall running and flipping off and landing on a bad guy.

If City of Titans could have parkour smoothly integrated into itself, i feel it would add a lot to the game. It would help the immersion as the character models would be more dynamic and colourful (which is what i would expect from a world filled with super heroes). I think it would also help pull competition from games such as infamous, where you can climb around.

Perhaps on launch that should not be a priority, however being the only superpowered MMO not only on UR4 engine, but to also have parkour to take advantage of the new functionality, i feel it would be a big selling point. Maybe in an update considering the amount on the plate already?

Personally i would be content with a good super group to talk to and the ability to just mess around in my spare time by abusing my abilities. What do you all think?

The last time I heard, there

The last time I heard, there was a parkour travel power concept being thought about, but I know you're getting at something a little different. It's an interesting idea.

I could dig parkour...but

I could dig parkour...but would it be to difficult to make it completely integrated into the game? I have no knowledge of creation, but it deffinatly sounds like it would be tricky to do..but awesome none the less

I've never done any game

I've never done any game design, but i think it would be tricky in the early stages, but if it were to be integrated well after launch i feel it would be near impossible. However i'm only speculating.

Probably one of those things that has to be built into the roots of the game to function properly.

Just so I understand, as far

Just so I understand, as far as a parkour travel power, if you're calling the climbing, leaping, and swinging around the city that Daredevil, The Creeper, Spiderman, the Beast, and Batman have always done , then of course it fits--but would it be that different from the Acrobatics travel power in DCUO?

And DCUO has races, which aren't exactly what you are talking about and not my favorite thing to do. But integrating them with combat or saving people like you said would be a lot more fun.

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

Yeah a little less like DC

Yeah a little less like DC Universe, a little more like Assassins Creed, or Infamous.

EDIT: To elaborate a little bit, acro in DCUO is jumping and doing flips and running straight up walls. What i have in mind is more like actually climbing the face of the building, quickly and flash-ly, much like assassins creed. Ideally this could stretch into combat and allow players to combo off of walls onto baddies
