Hello, I have a simple question. How will Travel Powers work in this game?

As I understand it, we will have certain slots that open up as we level up, reserved for travel powers, with the first one opening up at first level. And in this post by Tannim222, he confirmed that the initial choices would include flight, jumping, super speed, teleportation, and (if they get the bugs out) acrobatics. And as they work out the animations/stances/etc, you'll be able to "reskin" your travel power, choosing whether, for example, your Flight power looks like a certain Strange Visitor from Another World, or someone with a jetpack, or someone "surfing" on a force field or a wave of ice.

I personally, am hoping for Broomstick Flight.Because we can't all travel by Bubble. ^_^

Tannim has said a few times that travel powers will be their own distinkt progression system, and iirc we will get "points" at regular intervals and can use them to either enhance an existing one or buy a new one.

And, as with combat powers, they'll be subject to aesthetic decoupling. That is that the mechanics and looks of a power are chosen separate from each other.

I'm still hoping for more

I'm still hoping for more information how Teleport will work in this game.

I also really hope there's abilities for combat based teleports. Or at least animations like ranged damage sets having animation options to make it "look" like my character is teleporting to that location, damaging them and returning to my starting position. I could work with that. :)

Considering that MWM has mentioned a speedster version of such an attack (among others) to give us an idea of the possible range of variety among ranged (and to a slightly lesser degree melee) attacks I don't see a teleport version to be that much more work (possibly less). Though I'm sure that that post was NOT a definitive confirmation that the examples used would be in the game I'm fairly certain they are at least planning to include them.

It's good to hear of the possibility at least, but it's still as unofficial as ever. :(

At this point in time EVERYTHING has to be unofficial. We haven't even started Beta (Issue #0) yet.

And even then, when we go live, stuff can still be changed (nature of a living game).
