Top 10 MCU movies I want after the Fox acquisition is complete

I thought the first list topic did well so I'm doing another.

Now that it's officially happening, here are 10 movies in the MCU that I want after Fox is officially part of Disney, and thus we can have the whole universe and the options are nearly endless.

#10. New Mutants

A little tricky, because Fox is technically making a New Mutants movie, but let's be real: It's been delayed to infinity and it'll probably suck if it does get released. How's about they do a straight-up superhero version of the New Mutants starring Magik, Wolfsbane, Moonstar, Sunspot, Magma, Cypher (yes, everyone would joke about his supposedly lame power), and Warlock (yes he's an alien, but if you can have a talking raccoon then you can have him) and more.

The New Mutants are superheroes-in-training who have the main goal of one day becoming X-Men. But the road is long, and dangerous, and putting a bunch of teens on such missions may have consequences that they didn't account for. I'm not sure if it'd be "too early" to make New Mutants after Fox's movie, but hey, they introduced Spider-Man just two years after the awful TASM 2 and no one complained, so it shouldn't be an issue.

#9. X-Men: Starjammers

X-Men have gone on many cosmic journeys and their enemy is the Shi'ar Empire, who have never actually been featured in Fox because Fox wanted everything to be realistic. So here's a thought: Take the X-Men in space! And have them meet the Starjammers which could include Corsair (Scott's father), Raza, Ch'od and Hepzibah, among others, where they have to deal with the Shi'ar enslaving people and planning to take over Earth. It could be really fun, and even lead to a Starjammers spin-off.

Hell, this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Lockheed as Kitty Pryde's sidekick while they're at it since they're already in space.

#8. X-Men: Mojo

First hinted at as a joke in Deadpool 2 by Shatterstar, an X-Men story involving Mojoworld and characters like Longshot, Spiral, and of course, Mojo, would be very welcome. It could start with Longshot escaping to Earth, trying to find a new life, only to learn that Mojo isn't far behind him, and plans to invade. Then he joins the X-Men, they fight off the invasion, we get battles like Spiral vs. Psylocke, and Mojo is either killed or driven off. Afterwards, Longshot sticks around as an X-Man, while we see Spiral become an anti-hero. Not too complex, but a fun story nonetheless.

#7. Excalibur

Here's an idea, why not make the very first Marvel movie focused entirely on Britain? I mean, you've proven you can do Wakanda, so this should be just fine. Led by Captain Britain, and including Pete Wisdom as well as whoever else they include, Excalibur deals with the strange, weird, and comedic, and is decidedly less focused on mutants in general. A good perspective, if you ask me.

#6. X-Force

The iconic Uncanny X-Force, which stars Wolverine, Deadpool, Archangel, Fantomex and Psylocke, would be a dream come true as a movie. Though one hurdle is Deadpool, because word is they'll likely make him a separate entity from the MCU. In any case, I'd like to see something in the spirit of this run, because this could be amazing.

#5. Fantastic Four

A good Fantastic Four movie starring a team that feels like a true family, and Doctor Doom done justice at long last. Is it too much to ask for? For Fox it apparently is, but I'm sure Marvel could pull this off and make the F4 not suck again.

#4. Young Avengers

An acclaimed but all-too-short comic from the '00s that helped break Marvel into younger audiences and surprised detractors everywhere, the Young Avengers featured a mix of mutants, Fantastic Four elements, and Kang, all of which would've made the idea of a proper YA movie into a nightmare.

Feige more-or-less said Cassie Lang was put in the MCU to plant seeds, so the idea of her growing in Stature (helped by her having a new teenage actress in Avengers 4) and joining the like of Patriot, Wiccan, Hawkeye and others sounds like a definite possibility. Then of course, we can get to The Children's Crusade, where everything goes up to eleven.

#3. Annihilation

Speaking of things that would be legal nightmares to attempt before, the acclaimed Annihilation story arc which crosses over just about every space-based superhero and villain in the Marvel Universe, is something that definitely needs to be done. Many of the characters, including Silver Surfer, Galactus, Annihilus, the named Skrulls and who knows what else, were tied to Fox, and thus any attempt at a movie like this would be butchered. So with that said, this is something we need to happen.

#2. Avengers/X-Men: Secret Invasion

Granted, they could do this with just Avengers, but with X-Men coming along the way, and them having been co-stars in the comic event, why not do a massive crossover featuring both teams as the Skrulls secretly invade Earth? That would be perfect.

#1. Secret Wars

This could be the next big epic crossover of all epic crossovers after Infinity War and 4. Imagine having Battleworld, the Beyonders, Doctor Doom reigning over the world, tons of references to the past, having all these different elements combined, and the final battle being between Doctor Doom wielding the power of the Beyonders vs. Black Panther wielding the Infinity Gauntlet? It could be the ultimate story, the biggest one ever brought to film, and it could even outgross Infinity War from the hype.

----

Granted I left a lot off because there's so many stories out there, but these are the 10 most I think would fit well after the Fox acquisition is done. I hope you all like it!

Totally hoping for Secret

Totally hoping for Secret Wars with Spider-Man (Peter Parker) leading the way!

Want to see an X-Men vs Avengers movie!

A better Dark Phoenix Saga!

A starting X-Men movie where Professor X is a New Yorker and not British (he's not British!) and where Magneto isn't a crippling old man!

Would love to see most of the X-titles as movies myself. Would love an X-Factor movie!

I think I'm just looking forward to the MCU doing the X-Men right, while FOX was hit and miss.

Of these the three i would want to see the most would be Excalibur, Young Avengers, and Secret War. A good Fantastic Four movie would be soooo nice too, especially given the flop that was Fantfourstic.

Really great list!

Please, PLEASE a truly good FF movie.

They'd need Whedon for that, though. There's a reason noone's gotten it right--FF is deep and silly, complex and childlike, cosmic and down to earth. I'm not sure who else has the ability to quickly establish charachter, interweave genuine tragedy with comedy that is actually funny, keep a plot moving, and make it all fun that it would take.

Maybe get Brad Bird to give live action a try?

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

It would be great to see a really good FF movie which I could see them do prequeling a Secret Wars multiple movie run like the avengers run they’ve done spanning multiple characters and movies. Spider-Man and some Avengers in there along with a couple x-men crossing over would be awesome. It would be nice to see more in depth care given to some of the villains too like what has been done with Magneto in the X-men movies.

Whedon got the “dysfunctional family that sticks up for each other” formula down perfect in Firefly. He could make a great FF movie.

Actually wasn't he already Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past?

Guess it depends if the X-Men movies are considered part of the MCU or not.

They are very explicitly not part of the MCU. The X-Men films had a completely different (mutant) version of Quicksilver, for example, who was an only child. The MCU version of Quicksilver was a result of an experiment (unlike his comic book counterpart, but then again MCU hasn’t been allowed to use “mutants” up until now).

Just as Chris Evans was the Human Torch, but that wasn’t the MCU either. Michael B Jordan was also the Human Torch in a different FF film. Funny that they both later end up in the MCU as different characters later on.

Josh Brolin was Cable and Thanos (DP even calls him “Thanos” once in the film, I loved that movie so much) but the Deadpool films weren’t MCU. There are many people playing different Marvel characters in different movies but no actor has yet played two different MCU characters yet as far as I can tell. Yet I’d love Peter Dinklage as Puck, he even looks kind of like him.

Top of my list is a Storm

Top of my list is a Storm movie. She is the most interesting, complex, and powerful character in my eyes and more than deserves a stand alone film.

As long as they write her properly and give her a decent actress. The Halle Berry version was awful.

I'd like to see her story starting as a pickpocket kid through becoming worshipped as a goddess before finally becoming an X-Man.

Quicksilver in the X-Men, was not an only child. He just didn't have a twin, as the mother says sister in the first X-Men movie with him.

Peter as Puck. Just more casting of "Peter's a drawf! He should play Puck!" :p

It's like casting Patrick Stewart as Prof X. "Nerds love Patrick Stewart and he's bald! Fan fave to play him!"

Well two things...

1) Peter is awesome and I like him in everything.

2) Just look at those pictures! It’s like they were drawing Dinklage. Except Puck debuted in 1983, at least a decade before Dinklage was famous.

Another great choice is Martin Klebba, who is my favorite little person actor. He was in the Pirates of the Carribean films.

A shame they already used Danai Gurira in MCU... She would have made an excellent Storm!

I would've loved to have seen

I would've loved to have seen what Marvel would do with the original cast if they did an x-men movie, but I know that wont happen and that they would most likely be rebooting and recasting. Oh well, it was a good run.

The "original" X-Men cast is getting pretty long in the tooth. They might still be good if you wanted to film "X-Men: The Geriatric Wars" ;)

But give it like 15 or 20 years and there'll be someone, somewhere who'll "reboot" all of these series (X-Men, MCU, whatever) with a whole new cast. There's just way too much money involved for them not to. ;)

New Mutants

New Mutants
Excalibur
Alpha Flight
Fantastic Four
XMen (reboot with a story line closer to the orginal Dark Phoenix Saga) Don't do an origins movie, have them start as already being established. they could easily tie in for the New Mutants as teachers at the school when they aren't saving the universe. vice versa, some new mutants could make cameos during down times in the school.

Exiles

Exiles

Either as a movie or TV show.

Also an X-Men tv show would be pretty great, like a live action superhero drama using lesser known mutants living in the Xavier mansion.
