Super heroes make impacts on the landscape...like this quiet little beach just outside the city...
I want to see some of this scenery in the game as a permanent fixture

I assume there will be Easter Eggs like this sprinkled around. It might be cool to have certain features so dramatic that the city sort of had to build around them because they couldn't quite clean them up like maybe some kind of meteor impact that just eventually became a scenic lake with a few tell-tale features to show what its true origin was. Here in Florida there are now a good number of fairly lovely lakes that started out as sinkholes that had tragically swallowed up various buildings at the time. ;)

What does Titan city do with 30 tons of dead kaiju meat floating in the harbor after it's been beaten back (to death) by the Capes of TC?
I'd like to see some buildings with human shaped holes that have been filled in with fresh brick. Or very round patches of fresh asphalt a couple meters around.

This is a really good point. On top of evidence of wanton destruction, I think There should be evidence also of where humanity, in all its resilience, successfully recovered from said wanton destruction.

I would love to see that kind of scenery around Titan City. Those kinds of details would really be the cherry on top.

Hey, is there anyone on staff who can take this idea and actually put it into the game? Sounds like a great addition to the Brand X list of companies for the city.

mmm....maaaaaaybe....I promise we will consider it. I cannot promise that we will use it. We've already got all the location stuff like this set up for launch. However, it might be an appropriate name for something over near the nuclear reactor, which is in an expansion zone.

will a huge glowing zone monster be in the nuclear reactor for everyone to gather up :)
I already posted my opinion but I would like to reiterate. Please have scenery that give hints that a battle took place. PLEEASSEEe

We haven't set up too much about the expansion districts yet. They're for expansion content, not for launch, so we've been focusing on the launch districts. We have some information about the expansion districts, purely because we've planned for a complete city, not one in pieces that don't fit together quite right; it's just going to take time for us to get them all done.

More than that, a hint that a battle is in progress could be a great idea. Especially for the big monsters like the Paladin or Lusca :) or even in the PVP zone to mark the hot points of battle :)

It's little phrases like that which make me think this game will be so good.
"THE TITANS ARE COMING! THE TITANS ARE COMING!"
I couldn't agree more. It also has me wondering if the devs also have plans for expanding beyond Titan City eventually (stuff like extradimensional locales, other cities, other regions, etc. etc.)

CoH had plenty of locales that existed well beyond the standard "city limits". I'm sure MWM has plans/ideas for all sorts of things eventually.

Such things have been discussed...briefly (read: not in detail, but as something we should probably do). We have a whole city to finish off first. We won't be stopping after we finish the city, though. We plan to go beyond it, but it will take time to get to that point, and the extent of that content is yet to be determined (single locale for a specific purpose, e.g. Cimerora, or a more generalized expansion of space that is more readily accessible).

The thing that everyone has to remember is that (modern American) cities are High Density Environments not only in terms of (civilian) population but also just in terms of structures and "stuff to do" and so on. It's not like a fantasy game where you can have huge swaths of open wilderness with only a handful of mobs roaming around (seemingly) randomly for company. You have to remember that a lot of fantasy games are substantially an "empty" environment. That isn't the case for cities. There is LOTS OF STUFF in cities!
Lots of stuff takes a long time to develop, write and build for.

I agree that a game ought to be able to offer a bunch of content in the MMO representation of an averaged sized city. Hopefully MWM will keep that in mind for CoT because when you think back to many of the zones in CoH there was a lot of wasted empty space in that game. There were many places like Crey's Folly, Boomtown, Independence Port and Eden (just to name a few) where it seemed like only 10 or 20% of the total potential of the entire zone was ever realized. Most of the Rogue Isles felt like that as well. I think they were finally figuring out a good ratio between content and game space by the time Going Rogue was released.
Having a huge "land mass" to run around in is nice but it would also be nice to have a reason to explore most of it as well.

You can't discover the best Schwarma joint in town, if you don't explore the city!

I remember looking at Boomtown and wondering ... just how obnoxiously annoying must this place have been to get around in BEFORE it was destroyed?
I mean, the street layouts made NO SENSE whatsoever ... although, to be fair, that was true of almost every legacy zone in Paragon City ... but it was especially bad in Boomtown. Over, under, loop-de-loop back around, into and through the tunnels to grandmother's apartment building we go. It was like some Sim City mayor got drunk off his {FNORD!} and got lost trying to make it to the top of the hill or something. It was just insane. I mean, Skyway City with its BRIDGES TO NOWHERE was bad enough, but Boomtown was just beyond the pale for civil engineering silliness even before the place got trashed.

There's just no way to look at that map and NOT think that the place was a mess before the Rikti showed up to wreck everything.

Maybe the Rikti wrecked Boomtown because they saw the layout and thought "yeah something's gotta be done about that".

It's funny you mentioned Skyway City's "bridges to nowhere" because just a couple of weeks ago I saw one of those "Weird Feats of Engineering" type shows that highlighted a real world bridge to nowhere they started to build in Cape Town, South Africa. They stopped working on it back in 1977 and now all they "use" it for is the occasional movie or fashion shoot.

By the way, the giant robot abandoned on the beach and similar scenarios are a great idea. It could be implemented as expansion material, a new area apparently affected by a massive superhero-event (players vs giant-robot or giant-cosmic-being etc.).
Only 30 tons?
They will be drawing straws for who gets to tell mommy kaiju why the heroes had to kill her baby ...
A train car weighs more than 30 tons! That may just be a kaiju taken from the egg early!
that would make a great Easter egg for heroes to find. a massive egg in Titan Harbor. every now and then it hatches and a giant monster attacks.
anyone diving will see it.
AND. Killing the baby generates a much bigger mother kaiju to attack.
kinda like a Gorgo remake.
