Summon NPC pets.

I got a perfect store bought item for the game to sell.
I thought of it when I read a reference to Martians. Looks like they are the new mass invasion force.

You can buy a pet Martian Girlfriend! She has a few emotes but doesn't do anything, never gets in a fight. She'll look like a girl Sea Monkey.

Also a Robot Girl Friend ala Kim Possible. This one will be all steel. Again, she will never get into a fight. But she will be a must buy for every Mastermind with robots.

For a few bucks more you can buy a kiss emote...and show the world you are a NERD.

more below.

*** understand these are not pets in the mastermind sense. These are like the Rikti Monkey pets you could get. they have a limited set of emotes. **************

Summon NPCs,

Summon NPCs,

Summon Reporter. Pay the price and using the non combat pet formula you get a reporter who triggers an interview animation. lasts about a minute, then you have to summon again.

Summon News Crew. TV cameraman follows you and films you fighting. works with summon reporter above.

Summon Groupies. 3 girls (or guys) appear. They stare at you, sigh, and hearts appear over their heads/ Lasts about a minute.

Seems like someone needs some love.. :p

I would prefer animal pets that could help you in battle. Like Dynomutt of Ace the BatHound!

That much was obvious... ;)

The one thing I (and others) used to suggest back in CoH was the relatively simple idea of having a non-combat "pet" who would act just like the standard garden variety vanity pet does in most MMOs but with the added feature of having a customizable costume slot just like a player character. The net effect is that you could design a "sidekick pet" that could look any way you wanted it to. Perhaps it could also have specialized emotes or other features but the main point is that you could have a summonable sidekick with a matching costume, a "Robot Girl Friend" or anything else you wanted.

I suspect they could sell a bunch of these fully customizable "sidekick pets" for a semi-hefty price...

Yeah having a proverbial "costume slot" for Mastermind pets was usually the main thing most people talked about in CoH. I just took that basic idea and applied it to a non-combat "sidekick" pet that anyone could have, not just a Mastermind.

I'm sure the same kind of thing might be done with my single non-combat sidekick pet idea, but as always if anyone tried to "abuse" it too much they could always be reported to the GMs.

Lothic, considering that one

Lothic, considering that one of the options for Powers Animations is going to be having the animation of your Powers source itself from a pet/companion of some kind, it's entirely possible that the Non-combat Vanity Pet could very well serve double duty as being both a non-combat vanity item AS WELL AS an in-combat animation anchor for your Powers. Just one of those take it to the logical extreme kinds of deals.

Exactly. I have no problem with things being made for one purpose being ever so slightly altered to fit another bonus purpose. Two birds with one stone and all that.

Well one of the perks in the

Well one of the perks in the kickstarter was for a mini-sidekick of your character, so hopefully it is not too difficult and they will just expand upon that to make the look of the sidekick whatever you want it to be.

Kirara would be a cool concept too though. Have a power set is Pet Control, where you get a small pet that transforms into a warrior animal(think a crude form of pokemon)

The powers can be like Scratch, Maul, Ravage, Bite, and then some form of combo's with you and the animal!

Yeah that $30 Kickstarter Add-On was kind of what I'm taking about. But instead of it being hardwired to be a miniature clone of you it could look like anything you wanted it to look like using its own dedicated costume slot. Ironically enough that means you could specifically CHOOSE for it to look like a miniature clone of yourself if you actually wanted - I'd easily pay $30 for an "adjustable" pet like that.

I guess Pet Control would be under the class of mastermind? Or maybe controller? Hmmm...

I would pay for an "adjustable" pet like that as well! It would be cool to travel around town with your little sidekick showing off your fashion sense. And that could add a whole other level to the costume contests :D

Hmmm... speaking of getting mobbed by fans, that would be a cool immobilize power. Media Control/Image Manipulation Controller power: Flash Mob, targeted AoE immobilize and to hit debuff, animation involves a mob of fanboys/girls coming out of nowhere and just taking up all available space around the target. You'd have to use travel powers to get out easily; hope you're not in combat.

Has anyone seen my mind? It was right here...

Huh, did you get idea from Infamous: Second Son? One of the protagonists in that game had media manipulation powers. He would create angels and demons out of it. Hell it was implied he killed his bullies back in high school with a humongous demon when his powers first appeared (he is a nerd if you can't tell).

Never heard of it, actually. The closest game I've seen to that would be the old In Nomine PnP RPG.

Will this include flash dance mobs as well? xD

But seriously this could be a sweet MM power. The powerset could also be called "Superstar" and you have the power to control fans
