Things are progressing with the game, and I'm getting hyped! My question is: Give us a super rough estimated year of release. Are you all thinking 2017? 2016? 2018?
If you can't answer that question, here's a second one: Will there be phasing-type missions? What I mean is, will certain missions in the world make changes to the game world, if we are logged into that character? Like, if a building burns down in a mission, or something. I've seen phasing work in games like WoW.

Or ANY mission type with different objective phases (including instanced content)?

As far as power Animations/effects, where will the focusing be on.. "Somewhat Believable" or "Kinda Exaggerated". animations/effects? Will it be Closer to a certain one, or is it individually defined for particular powers? ;)
I need you to clarify that question, I didn't understand it. Are you asking which weapon animations (bearing in mind our animations can change the weapon and style of a set) we'll have at launch? Basically, if we launch with a weapon animation, how many and which weapons will it feature?
If so, better qualify 'weapons' a bit. A ranged attack set might have a bow animation, while a close ranged sharp set might have any number of bladed weapons. Question is a little too vague to work with as is.

He doesn't mean either. He means can our actions in a mission or story affect the world we experience afterwards. Like in the CoH intro missions, that agent has his wife next to him after you complete them, because you rescued her. A player next to you who didn't complete them doesn't see her there. Except I suspect he's hoping for rather larger scale examples :D.

On the business end, what is your projected player-base size, and what are your contingency plans in case your player base is significantly smaller or (happily, but also problematic) significantly larger than your projections?

Not sure I understand what clarification you need. I was hoping to learn which weapons were currently planned to have animations ready for use on launch, for any power sets that had weapon animations. If you need to consider that separate questions for each power set, I'll settle for learning which power sets are planned to have weapon animations.
Too bad we're only looking at five questions. ^_^

1.What is the Most exciting part, plan or idea about City of Titans "game play" for the "Developers"? (You Guys)
2.Do you have a rough draft or idea for the beginning Archetypes and power sets?
If so could you describe them to us?
3. Will there be Vehicles to drive? (Air, Ground, Water, Space)
If so, can these vehicles be damaged or do Damage? Or just transportation?
4. Are there plans for in game voice chat?
5. Will there be "Door Missions" as well as missions out in the city? (What general type of Missions will there be?)
(Door mission = Enter into a building to do a mission.)
6. Are there any plans for "Exotic" Mission locations or Task-Force Such as: Jungle, Volcano, Alien invaders in Space?
7. Will Villain and Hero Player's cross paths and if so will there be some restricted areas?

I dont really know, but if i needed to guess.. i would guess that Buildings (a select number might have interiors) would be procedurally generated inside Houdini, but not in the game at runtime.
I'd like to think that I, like most, prefer to keep the terrain almost 99% looking the same, since it will serve as a memory queue for a place i've visited before, and put my mind at ease. :D
As the years progress, small environmental touches would be nice. Trees, landmarks, etc... but not too much of the terrain. Unless a small zone (like what they did for the Faultline in CoH)?!? :)

Will DEFENSIVE as well as offensive powers and sets have customizability? In other words, would, say, a resistance-based tank be able to make a main defensive toggle shield look like either nothing, or a glow, or fire, or a force-field if desired?

Approximately how many hours do the devs expect will be typical to go from level one to level 50 (or to level 30 if that is the starting cap)? And by comparison, how many hours do the devs think it took to do the same thing in COH?
Are the Devs hoping/dreading for any particular company/person to do a critical review of the game after release?

From your progress in video updates, it seems your effort on detail is taken quite serious. I'm curious to how you will handle eluding an enemy, stealth in different surroundings, and presence sensors for certain character types.
To explain in better detail, for eluding enemies, i am referring to how you get away. For example, Grand Theft Auto used to be impossible to hide or getaway from cops, once you're wanted. Since, they have made it possible to physically hide or runaway.
Brings me to this, we love Wolverine and his feral qualities.
Wouldn't it be cool to sense an enemy by smell, even keen hearing?
Same goes for a cyborg or android, they might have a built in heat or motion sensor. In my graphic novel, i gave my character a soul sensor, due to his spirit like powers. To make things fair, it could be converted for different types to have the ability option.
As far as getting away, if you're running from a human, you should be able to stand somewhere blocking you, over them, or just any where out their view. Someone with superpowers may have x ray vision or birds eye view, maybe even one of the presence sensor powers. Overall, we would have that fictional realistic cat and mouse effect, agreed?
You are far more experienced than I, how possible and likely are these options?

when do you hope to release the Character Creator (rough guestimate: 2nd, 3rd, 4th quarter, etc)?
what size will the player base need to be, once stabilized after release, to keep the doors open and new content continually being generated?
