Please give us some good spear fighting move animations in the attack sets, like thrusting, quick stabbing and even throwing. The usual CoH attack animatins were generalized pole-weapon twirling and batting, there was no identifiable stabbing actions like you would get with a spear, and the weapon skins were also very lacking in any kind of spear weapons.

Being able to use a Zulu or Greek Hoplite spear and shield combo would be great, as would spear and knife or spear and handgun, maybe.

Likewise, rifle with bayonet skins and animations would be appropriate for the assault power sets, and could use some good jabs.
Even quarterstaff can use a good poke to the solar plexus.

And tridents too, using a set of real thrusting attacks would let you go Aquaman. A big advantage of a spear would be the long reach which keeps a target away from you, making it a good defensive weapon, potentially the longest ranged melee weapon, so just giving the right animations would let toons use spear-type weapons properly instead of as just another staff or stick weapon, eg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ygRholyh5g

In Freedom Force the custom character creator lets you pick an animation for your character, and an effect for the power separately.
You can pick a throwing animation if you want, then choose a from a wide range of projectiles to throw.
You can also choose a punch animation and choose from a wide variety of hit bursts. or none if you're boring.
